For this year’s Red Nose Day, they will lead Oasis: The Reunion: The Movie ahead of the band’s upcoming gigs later this year.
In the parody flick, it will chronicle their journeys from wannabe rockers in Manchester to living the high life as A-list superstars.
It will be packed to the brim with 90s nostalgia, sibling showdowns and a heavy dose of Britpop culture when it airs this week as part of the BBC telecast.
Joe and James will not be alone with a whole host of celebrities taking on cameo roles from actors, comedians and even a Love Island star.
Outnumbered’s Hugh Dennis and comedians Micky Flanagan and Roisin Conaty will lead the celeb cameo’s along with Piers Morgan and reality star Tasha Ghouri.
Martin Lewis, Vernon Kay and Melvin Odoom round-out the A-list names who will be getting in on the action.
Speaking of the brand new project, Joe Thomas said: “I grew up watching Comic Relief and the big sketch was always a highlight of the night.
“So it’s both thrilling and nerve wracking to be a part of it.”
Whilst co-star James added: “I had such a fun time with Joe, making this sketch for Comic Relief, and was honoured to be asked to be a part of it.
“And, of course, being a huge Oasis fan, getting to be Liam for the day was a dream come true.”
Keeping the Oasis theme running on the night, Comic Relief will also be handing out some epic prizes as part of the telethon.
One lucky winner who enters Comic Relief’s prize draw will receive two VIP tickets in the Royal Box at Wembley Stadium with BBC Radio 2 star Vernon Kay being your host for the evening.
There will also be a guitar signed by both Liam and Noel included in the prize draw as well as official VIP tour merchandise and travel and accommodation included.
Fans can enter via Red Nose Day’s official website to be in with a chance of winning.
