ITV favourite James Nesbitt surprised fans as he popped into a pizza restaurant in Manchester.
The actor, 60, made customers do a double take as he enjoyed dinner out on Saturday evening.
James posed for a photo with staff at Ciaooo Pizza, who later shared the post and captioned it: “Yesterday night JAMES NESBITT came for a pizza. We had a lovely chat and he said LOVE ITALY.”
The Bloodlands star, who wore a grey t-shirt with an unbuttoned black shirt, was seen smiling during the quick meet and greet.
James’ outing comes after just weeks after the star was spotted covered in blood as he filmed dramatic new scenes for Netflix.
The Cold Feet actor is starring in the latest Harlan Coben drama for Netflix, called Run Away which will air later this year.
James appears alongside Gavin and Stacey‘s Ruth Jones as well as Minnie Driver in the new drama, which is currently being filmed in Greater Manchester.
Other star names confirmed in the cast include ex-EastEnder Tracy-Ann Obermann, Vera star Joe McGann and The Critic’s Alfred Enoch.
Run Away follows the story of Simon whose seemingly perfect life “falls apart” when his teenage daughter runs away, but in his search to find her, he uncovers lots of dark secrets.
Nesbitt’s character Simon Greene is determined to find answers, but along the way he runs into trouble.
Simon’s wife Ingrid Greene is being played by Oscar-winning actress Minnie Driver, while Ruth Jones will take the role of Elena Ravenscroft.
The latest scenes saw a worried looking James covered in red blood splatter as he stood over an ambulance stretcher, which Minnie Driver’s character appeared to be strapped to.
Run Away is the latest in a long line of dramas by Harlan Coben, with previous hits including Missing You, Fool Me Once and The Stranger.
James has starred in previous Harlan Coben dramas including Missing You as he sinister Calligan.
He also held the main character role in 2023’s Staying Close which saw him as a murder detective uncovering a historical crime.
