I wanted cute almond-style nails, but they look more like Mount Everest – people say I should’ve never left the salon

A YOUNG woman has been left mortified over the shape of her nails after getting a salon manicure.

Wanting to treat herself to a fresh set of nails, the woman decided to go to a nail salon to get almond-style acrylics.

The young woman, who goes by MB on social media, revealed she asked the nail expert for a ‘full set with almond shape’ and picked a neon green colour for the set.

But while her nails were being done, MB became distracted by the film playing in the salon.

“I was watching the movie in the salon too closely,” she revealed.

Instead of watching what the nail artist was doing, she was focused on the TV until they were done with her nails.

When MB finally did look down at her nails, she was mortified.

We expect acrylic nails to sit flush with our natural nail shape, adding length.

But MB’s nails were left pointing up like mini Mount Everests.

“More Mount Everest vibes,” she captioned the post.

It wasn’t long before MB took the set off her nails and decided to let them grow out naturally.

Many claimed that a small nail bed can cause acrylics to stick up instead of growing out, and MB said she would wait for her nails to grow before getting another manicure.

The clip quickly went viral on her TikTok account @shellmyybell with over 15 million views and 565k likes.

People were stunned and baffled that she let them finish the set.

And you let them do that 10 times?

What age can you take kid to get their nails done?

MUMS have sparked controversy after allowing their kids to get acrylic nails. But just how old do they have to be to be allowed to get them done legally.

According to the National Occupational Standards, anyone under the age of 16 has to be accompanied by an adult.

They also need written consent from a parents or guardian.

It’s also a good idea to check that the salon you’re planning to go to – just to ask if they offer services to children.

“I hope you didn’t pay for this,” penned a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “This made me so uncomfortable.”

“Girl, I would sue,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “Why do they make me think of Dino eggs lmao.”
