KATHRYN Thomas has admitted she is “ready to reveal” the disaster which took place on her wedding day.
The Q102 host tied the knot to her long-term partner Padraig McLoughlin back in 2019 in a dreamy ceremony at Kilkea Castle in Kildare.
Kathryn was a vision on her big day in a satin princess dress with a swooping back.
The dress featured a large bow on the back which added a little more detail to the otherwise simple gown.
The 45-year-old has now revealed that she had a fashion disaster on the day of her wedding – and it’s every bride’s nightmare.
Speaking on her morning radio show, the mum-of-two told how Irish musician Brian Kennedy had sang as she walked down the aisle.
Brian, who was a guest on the show, raved about Kathryn’s “beautiful” bridal gown and added: “But we later found out the dress had something else going on.”
But before anything could go wrong with the dress, the singer revealed that the “heavens opened” while Kathryn walked down the aisle.
He laughed: “She just had to run all the way.”
Kathryn cut across and remarked: “You know what I think I’m ready to tell people what happened to my dress.”
The Irish host continued: “So, I’m on the altar and the zip of my dress burst when I was sitting there.”
Brian joked: “It wasn’t because she had too many doughnuts; she couldn’t have been thinner, it was a fault in the zip.”
Kathryn admitted that she “stood on the back of the dress” in the rain, which caused the zip to undo itself.
The Carlow native added: “I was just sitting there in front of everyone and Brian had seen the whole thing.

“Brian was in the eye line of the dress and I had no bra on and it was open.”
The TV star told how her pal Susie, who was looking after her little girl Grace on the day of the wedding, came to the rescue and put a blanket around Kathryn.
Kathryn beamed as she revealed that Brian also found a blanket and put it around his shoulders in “solidarity” with her on the day.
The star gushed: “You will always be the man who did that on my wedding day and I will never forget it.”
Brian sweetly remarked: “You really couldn’t have looked more gorgeous, no wonder he married you.”
