Gal Gadot recently appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show to promote her upcoming film, the massively divisive, Snow White. While talking to Barrymore on the show, she shared some shocking details about her fourth pregnancy. Revealing that she had major brain clots, she suffered terrible headaches that rendered her unable to see or hear for weeks.

“I had massive headaches that completely put me down. I was in bed and I couldn’t hear or see anything”— revealed Gadot as she stated that she would just be in bed all day long with a hot bottle on her head. Despite having consulted several doctors, they all dismissed her case as a nasty migraine. As things got worse, her mother told her to get an MRI.

After listening to her mother, she was rushed to the hospital and they found major brain clots that would have killed her if she had gone through a spontaneous delivery. For the first time really scared to death, she asked everyone present to always advocate their their health even if it meant just over-checking themselves as the audience applauded her.

Months before her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Gal Gadot had shared her experience on Instagram, in a post dated December 2024. Calling it a year of profound challenges and deep reflections, even though she struggled to share a ‘personal story’ she wanted to reveal this harrowing experience as a way of pulling back the curtain on the fragile reality behind the curated moments we share on social media.

Sharing that she was eight months pregnant when she was diagnosed with massive brain clots after undergoing an MRI, she spoke of the sudden revelation that life is and can be very fragile. A stark reminder of how quickly everything can change, she went on to tell why her fourth daughter was named ‘Ori’:

My daughter, Ori, was born during that moment of uncertainty and fear. Her name, meaning “my light,” wasn’t chosen by chance. Before the surgery, I told Jaron that when our daughter arrived, she would be the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel.

Now fully recovered and back on her feet, the actress is filled with gratitude. She was recently awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was joined by her family. She shared four daughters with her husband Jaron Varsano, the eldest is Alma, 13, followed by Maya, 8, Daniella, 3, and Ori, who is just 13 months old.
