I charge my sister £5 to go to Morrisons – trolls call it ‘greed’ but I pay tax & MOT…if she doesn’t like it, get a bus

A MOTHER has claimed that she charges her sister £5 petrol money for trips to Morrisons.

The self-proclaimed ‘bad mum’, from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, boasted that because she pays for her car, insurance, tax, MOT and petrol, she doesn’t see why her family shouldn’t pay if they travel in the car with her.

Trolls were horrified by Whitney’s claims and called her ‘low class’[/caption]

Whitney Ainscough, 31, who has a £43,700 Range Rover and just days ago claimed that she also charges family members £10 for a Sunday roast, stressed that her sister has been “kicking off” about her petrol fee.

But the influencer, who has three children, Cora Bentley, 12, Addison Squires, seven, and Adley Christopher, three, suggested her sibling get the bus if she has a problem with it.

Posting on social media, the content creator, who recently got candid on being threatened with jail after taking her kids on holiday during term-time, asked her 462,100 followers: “Do you think I’m in the wrong because I charge my sister anytime we go anywhere?”

Whitney then claimed: “Even if I wanna nip to Morrisons and she’s coming, she will have to pay £5 petrol for my car.

“Am I in the wrong for that? She’s been kicking off about it and it’s like, well catch bus then, you know what I mean?

“I charge my sister whenever we go anywhere together.

“I’m driving there, so the least that she can do is pay the fuel.”

The woman, who has been accused numerous times of rage bait – which involves making content to wind viewers up and provoke a reaction – added: “A lot of people have said that is wrong of me, but how is it?

“I pay the insurance, the tax, the fuel.

“The least she can do is give me the money for driving there.”

Social media users react

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @itsmebadmom, has clearly left many gobsmacked, as it was shared just five days ago but has quickly amassed 211,900 views.

Viewers were open-mouthed by Whitney’s claims and many eagerly flocked to the comments to share their thoughts.

One person said: “Yeah it’s pure greed, you’re going anyway so DON’T CHARGE HER.”

Another added: “Penny pinching. Proper low class of you especially with family…”

How to cut the price of petrol and diesel

HERE’s how to save yourself money and fuel

  1. Make your car more fuel-efficient. Keep your tyres inflated, remove the roof rack and turn your air-con. This will reduce your engine power and the amount of fuel you’re using.

2. Drive slow and steady. The brake is a money burner, so avoid slamming it on. Accelerating slowly will also save you fuel and money.

3. Be a bargain hunter. Find the cheapest petrol or diesel in your area. PetrolPrices.com and Confused.com are free to use – just enter your postcode and how far you want to travel.

A third commented: “I’d never charge anyone for a lift, it’s nice to help.”

Whilst someone else simply penned: “Absolutely wrong.”

At the same time, one user slammed: “This is definitely rage bait, however, I don’t charge my family for anything. I never would.”

Meanwhile, another thought: “Great trigger post though.”
