How to Close Bug Holes in Helldivers 2

Helldivers 2 features a ton of things to do while in-game and in combat, one of which involves dealing with a multitude of enemies. Of these, Terminids are one such variant players might encounter during the battle for Super Earth.

While fighting these Terminids, players might be prompted to plug bug holes which is a very common side objective. This is to ensure that no more pesky bugs crawl out to attack you, and can take a bit of time to complete. Thankfully, it is rather easy to clear and the steps can be found discussed below.

There are a variety of strategies to follow when dealing with bug holes in Helldivers 2. The first and easiest way to deal with them involves hurling a grenade into the hole. Simply get close to a bug hole, and toss a grenade into it, which should in turn result in the hole collapsing upon itself.

While effective, this method can consume your precious, limited source of grenades which makes finding alternative solutions all the more appealing.

If prompted to deal with multiple bug holes, players can choose to restock their grenade supplies, usually with the help of a Resupply Stratagem. Keep in mind that a resupply usually takes around 2 minutes or so to deploy, so keep the downtime in mind. However, the Stratagem does restock all of your ammunition (including grenades) which makes it all the more useful.

Another effective way to deal with a bug hole in Helldivers 2 is to simply nuke it. This comes in particularly handy if you lack enough grenades to take care of the nests. Try calling in an Orbital Precision Strike for best results.

To execute this, head on over to the hole, and call in the Stratagem by throwing in the ball-like homing device into it.Take cover and watch the fireworks as your support team rains fire from the skies.

While effective, this method has a very high chance of executing you in the process too, given its large area of impact. Additionally, the strike takes only a few seconds, which makes dodging it all the more difficult.

To use a relatively ‘safe’ method, consider using Eagle Cluster Bombs or a Gatling Barrage instead. These usually take a bit longer to detonate, and can also have a wider area of impact – meaning that they can take out multiple nests at once.

This about wraps it up for dealing with bug holes in Helldivers 2
