PARTY BEAR (6.00 Kempton, nap)
She was a much-improved model for Karl Burke when making her handicap debut at Wolverhampton last time. She was very green but kept going to finish a close-up second. Her mark has gone up a fair 2lb for that and stepping up to seven furlongs also looks a wise move.
PIKE ROAD (2.30 Ludlow, nb)
Showed promise when beaten less than four lengths at Catterick latest. He was a good second in a couple of novice contests over this trip before that good first run at handicap level. He likes some cut in the ground and doesn’t need much more to get off the mark.
PILGRIMS KING (5.03 Doncaster, treble)
Ran a cracker to win at Sedgefield last time despite his saddle slipping early in the contest. He came home strongly at that stamina-sapping track for in the-form Bowen training team. A 4lb rise in the weights looks more than fair.
ENCHANTED WAY (7.00 Kempton, Lucky 15)
Has been knocking on the door over this trip. She was a close-up third at Lingfield last time and the first-time blinkers can help her into the winners’ enclosure for Archie Watson.
