HOLLYOAKS star Ciara Janson has accused her Eurovision winner husband of ‘physical abuse’ and ‘endless infidelities’ following their split.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Ciara, 37, publicly alleged that Swedish singer Måns Zelmerlöw, 38, engaged in drug misuse and abusive behaviour during their marriage.

The actress, best known for her role as Nicole Owen in the Channel 4 soap, married Måns in 2019 after three years together.
He first found fame in 2005’s Swedish Idol, later winning the country’s edition of Strictly Come Dancing in 2006, as well as the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015.
They share two young sons – Albert, six, and Ossian, two – while Måns also has an older son, Archie, from a previous relationship.
Rumours of their split first surfaced in Sweden, where Måns is a well-known musician and TV personality.
In response, Ciara took to social media, saying she could no longer remain silent.
She wrote: “I have stayed quiet and protected my ex-husband for too long.
“To stop speculation, I filed for divorce in the UK so I could keep this private. As it seems that is no longer possible, it’s important I speak my truth and finally stand my ground.
“My children have and always will be my utmost priority, and I will do everything I can to protect them and be the mother they deserve.”
She further alleged that the family had been living in an unsafe environment.
Ciara continued: “I cannot allow my family to live in a hostile environment and be exposed to drug abuse, emotional, physical abuse, and endless infidelity anymore.
“I encourage anyone who is in a similar situation to seek help and support and find the strength to take control of your life. Everyone deserves happiness and freedom.”
Despite the accusations, she expressed hope that her estranged husband would seek help, adding: “I wish Måns all the best for his future endeavors, and I hope he seeks the help he so desperately needs.
“Whilst this chapter is closing, I wish him nothing but a path toward a better future.
“I truly appreciate all the love and support during this unavoidably difficult time. Thank you.”
She has since removed the post, replacing it with an image reading, “SILENCED.”
Måns’ lawyer responded to Ciara’s claims in a statement to Sweden’s Expressen newspaper.

They said: “It is extremely serious to make these types of accusations.
“It’s not unusual for one of the parties in a divorce to make accusations. But I would say that it’s extremely serious to make these types of accusations. We can’t say much at this point.
“Måns’ focus right now is the well-being of the children. That’s his only focus. He only exists for the children, he keeps it together for them.”
A marriage in the spotlight
Ciara and Måns met in 2016 and tied the knot three years later.
Through their relationship, Ciara has filled her Instagram grid with happy family snaps.
However, reports yesterday suggested their marriage took a turn.
A source close to the couple said: “It is correct that Måns Zelmerlöw has recently filed for divorce from Ciara.
“It is, of course, a difficult decision to make, not least for a parent of young children who is also a public figure.
“We now appeal for understanding and consideration that Måns and Ciara have two young children together. The family needs privacy in order to best handle this situation.”
According to Aftonbladet, Mans initiated the divorce proceedings.
Ciara’s life beyond acting
As per Swedish law, since they have children, the couple must wait six months before the separation is officially granted.
Ciara first appeared on Hollyoaks in 2004, playing Nicole until her departure in 2007.
She then reprised her role for a brief stint in 2019.
Her character was involved in one of the soap’s darkest storylines – being kidnapped and threatened by rapist Andy Holt before narrowly escaping.
Since stepping away from acting, Ciara has built a career as a mumfluencer, running a marketing boutique and regularly sharing glimpses of her life with her three children on social media.
Although she has largely left television behind, she recently made an appearance on Sweden’s The Masked Singer.
Her last family-related social media post was in January, showing her and her children enjoying a snowy holiday in Norway.
Captioning a picture of their chalet, she wrote: “No highlight reel from 2024 over here, but grateful to be closing the door and leaving that one behind.
“Chivalrously holding it wide open for 2025. It’s started substantially better. Happy New Year to all of you and huge amounts of love.”
