Actress Millie Bobby Brown tied the knot with Jake Bongiovi in May 2024 during a very low-key romantic affair with their closest family. Their love story has been a mystery to the fans, but recently, Brown appeared on Call Her Daddy, where she was asked how the two of them met. The actress revealed they met via a mutual friend who was going to college where Bongiovi was going as well.
Brown goes on to describe that four months after she got Jake Bongiovi’s number, she decided to call cool people, and she straight away asked him if he was single. The actress shared that the two of them became friends and would text back and forth for a while.
We watched shows on Zoom and stuff like that together but he did not flirt with me like once. I said to my mom, You’re going to have to sit in on a conversation I have with him and tell me, Are you getting that? because I don’t know if he’s flirting with me or not.
The actress told Alex Cooper, host of the show, that she went down to her parents and told them that either Bongiovi was going to be the maid of honor or the groom at her wedding. She said she just couldn’t understand where the two of them were headed, so one night she told him that she liked him, and the next day he confessed as well.
Millie Bobby Brown noted that it took her now-husband so long to tell her that he felt the same way she did. She mentioned that her husband is nice and friendly to everyone, but she, on the other hand, is simply a cut-to-the-chase person.

During her conversation with Alex Cooper on Call Her Daddy, the actress went on to reveal the moment she knew that she wanted to live with Jake Bongiov for the rest of her life. Brown shared that the two of them had dogs together and were taking care of their animals and eventually started to live this day-to-day life, which they started to enjoy. The actress added,
I thought, ‘Oh, I don’t think I could ever see you like anything else. Like, I really want, I don’t want to be with anyone else ever again. I don’t want to date, I don’t want to meet anyone like I want you.
The Stranger Things actress further shared that their deeper conversations about politics and how they want to raise their kids and heavier topics, about which she had never spoken before, started to give her an idea that maybe that’s what she wants.
She noted that she was young, so it was natural for her to not address such heavyhearted topics, but it wasn’t much of a task with Bongiovi.
To be able to even think about those things, I was like, ‘Shit. Okay, maybe I do want to be with you forever’…. His parents got married really young; they’re high school sweethearts. My parents got married really young. So they’re just like love stories. We had just, like, really young marriages.
Millie Bobby Brown Bongiovi added that both of them had really great role models growing up, which is why they didn’t see any difference. The two of them got married at a low-key affair only to celebrate it later at Villa Centinale in Italy.
