RTE Fair City viewers have all said Damien “deserves better” as he gears up to return to Carrigstown.
Tonight, Dean and Mairead got careless and failed to notice Tommy had sussed their affair.

Tommy confronted Dean over what he saw and urged him to think of Damien.
Realising Damien’s return was close, Mairead and Dean pledged to make the most of their last few days together.
Leo gave Dean a chance to spend time with Mairead when he gave him a getaway package he was gifted.
RTE viewers were all left saying the same thing about Mairead and Damien.
Sinead said: “Never thought I’d hear myself say this but Damo deserves better.”
Thomas tweeted: “Wonder will Mairead end up with a little Dean.”
One viewer wrote: “I used to like Mairead, now I don’t.”
Michael added: “I hope Damo catches Dean.”
Elsewhere, Liam failed to contact his financial backer after the incident.
Fergal warned Jacinta to stop making jibes at Liam, but she wouldn’t listen.
Carol hid her doubts as Liam tried to remain positive about getting the project back on track.
Fergal tried to convince Jacinta they should quit while they were ahead but she was out for blood.
Carol suspected that without Jacinta’s interference, Fergal would be more pliant.
Carol asked Sharon to consider taking Liam on as a lodger but she was reluctant.
Carol offered to speak to Fergal on Liam’s behalf, but he rejected her help.
FUMING CAROL
Carol appealed to Fergal to show Liam mercy and help him to save the project.
Jacinta interrupted, but Carol knew she’d sown a seed with Fergal.
Liam was angry when Fergal revealed Carol’s conversation.
Fergal told Liam he needed to grovel to earn back his damaged reputation.
Carol failed to persuade Liam to cut a deal with Fergal to win back his life.

Meanwhile, Nikki urged a nervous Sash to ask Maxine out.
Gwen and James maintained a fragile alliance as they tried to keep their hustle a secret.
Gwen enjoyed putting James through his paces as they cleaned the flat for the incoming guests.
Nikki grew tired of Sash’s dithering regarding Maxine and jumped in as matchmaker.
Sash and Maxine were relieved the ice had been broken and arranged a date.
Gwen tried to embarrass James in front of Emma in an effort to make him quit, but he hung in there.
