George Clooney Is the ‘Happiest He’s Ever Been’: Actor Is ‘Madly in Love’ With Wife Amal Clooney

George and Amal Clooney have relocated to NYC for an extended spell as he is currently gearing up for his Broadway debut – and they’re also squeezing in plenty of romance and social time, which has given their relationship a welcome boost.

“They’ve gone to huge lengths to maintain their privacy and anonymity in New York and so far it’s working,” an insider exclusively tells Closer of the A-list couple. “Amal can do a lot of her work in New York, and the States, and when she needs to go to Europe, it’s less than six hours, which is bearable.”

George, 63, and Amal, 47, share 7-year-old twins Alexander and Ella.

“They had a lot of worries about disrupting the kids’ routines but so far it’s worked out surprisingly well,” the insider adds. “George is thrilled to have them all with him, it’s a huge support.”

“After a long day of rehearsing he has Amal to come home to. And he wakes up with his darling kids and then gets to go work on Broadway, George says this may be the happiest he’s ever been, he feels like every dream has come true,” the source continues. “He’s madly in love with his wife and his kids and living out a bucket list career moment. And Amal seems very happy too, it’s given them a new appreciation for America.”

George previously opened up about moving to New York City for six months with his wife and kids to star in Good Night, and Good Luck on the Broadway stage.

“I mean, come on, how do you not love this, it’s New York City,” he said while appearing on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last month. “They love being here.”

“Actually, a play is kind of a good schedule because, you know, you’re working at night, you get to see the kids during the day, so it’s OK,” the dad of two added about his schedule.

He further spoke about the temporary move to the Big Apple during a joint interview with GQ with Wolfs costar Brad Pitt.

“That’s going to be six months of my life in New York. But again, it’s like we’re talking about time allotment. I won’t do another thing,” he said during the August 2024 sit-down. “I’m going to give myself time with my kids. I really enjoy driving them to school, and my wife and I are having a really wonderful time. So I don’t want to lose all of that.”

The family man truly seems happy with his latest career venture and even sported a new look before his debut Broadway performance. The ER alum dyed his hair brown, ditching his famous salt and pepper locks for the new role.

George was seen in photos obtained by the Daily Mail rocking his new ‘do outside of the Winter Garden Theater last week. Preview performances of Good Night, and Good Luck, in which George portrays Edward R. Murrow began on March 12. After previews, the show will officially premiere on opening night on Broadway on April 3.
