THREE Ireland customers have been left unable to make calls to other networks and use data due to a major technical issue today.
The company confirmed this morning pre-pay customers were experiencing issues with calls, SMS and data services.
Some customers also saw their phone credit balance drop to €0, and despite reassurance that the glitch had been resolved, customers are still facing issues.
Confirming the issue initially on social media Three Ireland told customers they were working to resolve the “disruption”.
They said: “Some Three prepay customers are currently experiencing issues with Call, SMS and Data services.
“Our technical team are working to resolve this disruption as soon as possible.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Customers were left furious but Three insisted “no customer will have any loss of credit as a result of this issue”.
One customer fumed: “My scheduled top-up isn’t until March 20, so I should still have data, but €140 of credit is just gone, and I have no data.
“I don’t mind there being a problem, but at least send everyone on prepare a text about it.”
Another said: “€70 credit I’d built up just vanished this morning, 14 days into my plan. No internet, and no way to top up.
“Please fix your systems and also please send messages to customers letting them know.”
Three confirmed earlier today the issue had been resolved but customers have continued to face ongoing problems throughout the day.
Three said: “We can confirm the issue for our prepay customers this morning has been resolved, thank you for your patience.
“We’d like to reassure you that no customers will have loss of credit as a result of this issue. If any customers are still experiencing connection problems, please power off and on your device to reboot.
‘WE APOLOGISE’
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
But angry customers hit back revealing they were facing problems into this evening, even after reboots.
One person said: “This is STILL unresolved – I have been working all day & can’t make any calls outside the Three network.
“It’s been down for 15 hours & counting. When will our credit be put back on our accounts?”
‘STILL UNABLE TO MAKE CALLS’
Another raged: “It has not been resolved I am still without the credit I topped up with on Wednesday, still unable to make calls or use mobile data and unable to top up the four phones that are on your network.
“I am currently an hour and a half attempting to get on to an agent to advise me.”
One added: “Can you refund the credit I paid this morning so I could make a call despite all my bundles being active. Not having anyone on staff for a weekend outage was pure clownery.”
And another fumed: “Can you please stop, it is not resolved, credit gone, can’t make phone calls and no data…How is that fixed?”
Three have told customers still facing issues that technical teams are working on it.
