FINN AZAZ scored his first Republic of Ireland goal as Heimir Hallgrimsson’s men came from behind to beat Bulgaria.
The 24-year-old brought the Boys in Green level after 21 minutes after falling behind to an early Marin Petkov opener.
And Matt Doherty clinched the win on the cusp of half-time to send Ireland on the cusp of preserving their place in League B.
The second leg of the Nations League relegation play-off takes place in Dublin on Sunday.
