Difference in Political Views of Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler: How the Drama Has Pissed off the Wonder Woman Star?

Hollywood has seen a lot of drama and feuds igniting between actors for numerous reasons, with a lot of them stemming from the sets of the masterpieces they help curate. Turns out, the co-stars of the upcoming iteration of Snow White, Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler, haven’t been spared from being embroiled in the same misery either.

Apparently, while the two have been busy promoting their upcoming movie together, tensions have sparked between the two co-stars, as per exclusive sources. And one of the biggest reasons behind the two being such a massively misfitting pairing behind the screens is reportedly their difference in political views.

Different political views reportedly have tensions surrounding Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler

Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot have teamed up to star as Snow White and the Evil Queen, respectively, in Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of one of its most fan-favorite princesses of all time, but behind the scenes, they have seen some reported tensions between the two. Apparently, the two just can’t seem to find a common ground to connect with each other.

According to exclusive reports from what an insider recently spilled the beans to PEOPLE, the West Side Story actress, 23, “has nothing in common with Gal Gadot, a [39-year-old] mom of four kids.” If that wasn’t enough, further reports from the source continued to claim to the outlet, “On top of that, their political views differ, adding to the tension.

Yet another insider had something similar to say to the outlet about the two critically commended actresses, who have a sixteen-years-and-three-days (literally!) age gap between them. Gadot and Zegler reportedly “have a huge age gap and very different political views,” as per the source’s claim on the reported tensions between the co-stars.

For those unversed, the Wonder Woman actress formerly served in the Israel Defense Forces and was one of the biggest vocal advocates for the release of Israeli hostages, irrespective of the damage to the Gazans during Israel’s war on Palestine. On the other hand, the Spellbound star has voiced support on social media for Palestine amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

That said, it’s only understandable that such widely contrasting political views have reportedly made the two co-stars stand completely opposite and find no common ground to relate with each other. But while that’s that, it seems like this drama is continuing to piss off Gadot, who is now reported as being “annoyed by the movie drama” around her said flick.

Per further details spilled by the second source, the Red Notice actress is reportedly finding it hard to not be “annoyed by the movie drama” ostensibly caused by her younger co-star with her comments when she said, while promoting her film, that this said upcoming Disney film would modernize the titular princess and that the original was “dated.”

As the other insider had to claim to PEOPLE, “Gal is annoyed by the movie drama. She enjoyed filming. She was fine with Rachel but they are not friends. They have nothing in common… They did a job together and that’s it.” Per a third source, “Gal’s attitude is that you don’t criticize and cause drama for a project you signed on to do. She just doesn’t get it.

That being said, it’s inevitable that this reported bad blood between the two Disney co-stars has ignited from their not seeing eye-to-eye with each other. But while that’s that, the source also said about the pair’s dynamic: “This isn’t like a ‘stay away from me’ situation. They were at the Oscars together. They’ll be together this weekend.

At the same time, Gadot’s absence at the film’s European premiere in Spain on March 12 was also noticeable, though sources claim she was “never supposed to be in Spain” and was instead busy doing press in New York. Either way, it remains to be seen how this reported drama continues to unfold between the two and what form they end up taking.

Snow White is set to hit the screens on March 21, 2025.
