IT’S been a tough few weeks for Danny Jones after he was caught with I’m A Celeb pal Maura Higgins having a drunken kiss.
But I can reveal that his McFly bandmate Dougie Poynter, 37, has been rallying around the guitarist and helping him deal with fallout.

The pair have been spending lot of time together in Dougie’s London home and enjoying bike rides.
A pal said: “The pair have been inseparable and Dougie has been a metaphorical shoulder to cry and helping Danny to work through the fallout of the past few weeks, it’s been really tough.
“Dougie has known Danny for decades and knows how to keep his spirits up in low moments.
“Cycling together and getting outside has been good for them and helping to keep busy.
“The McFly boys are all really close, but unlike his other bandmates Dougie isn’t tied up with childcare so can lend Danny an ear during his hour of need.”
Last year when Danny was crowned King of the Jungle Dougie reduced Danny to tears when he called him shortly after the win saying: “Dude, you did amazing, I was so proud.”
Overwhelmed Danny responded: “I love you so much man. I’ve been a mess all day, I can’t quite take it all in.”
The bromance is real.
It came after Danny made a huge social media change – limiting the comments sections on some of his Instagram images – earlier this week.
It came just days after we reported his wife Georgia made the same social media tweak.
He also finally broke his silence to say sorry after he and Maura were filmed looking close at a glitzy BRITs after-party in London last weekend.
BREAKING SILENCE
Star Girl vocalist Danny made an emotional statement on Instagram, and showed his regret for putting his loved ones “in this situation.”
The dad-of-one, who shares son Cooper with Georgia, 38, wrote: “Hello everyone.
“Sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me.

He had been going out with his now-wife for four years when he proposed to her in Cyprus, in 2013.

Danny and Georgia welcomed a new baby boy called Cooper Alf Jones on January 27, 2018.
Yet their romance was rocked in 2025 when Danny and Maura’s boozy 3am smooch at The BRITs was made public.
“I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation.
“I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.”
Danny continued: “I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding and support.
