CONOR MURRAY and his family are enjoying a sun-soaked holiday at “the most stunning beach club” in Dubai.
The 35-year-old is on a break after bringing his Ireland career to an end following the final day Six Nations win over Italy.
Murray, wife Joanna, and baby boy Alfie all jetted off to Dubai, where the young parents got engaged in 2022.
The former Miss Universe has been sharing a host of photos from the holiday to her Instagram.
Amongst these were pics from their holiday resort – the Gigi Beach Club – which she described as “the most stunning/chill beach club”.
Another was a gorgeous mirror pic in which Joanna can be seen wearing a swimsuit from Monday Swimwear valued at approximately €220.
Murray’s international career may be over, but he has no intention of saying goodbye to the club game for the time being.
While Ireland teammates Cian Healy and Peter O’Mahony will be hanging up the boots for good at the end of the season, Murray will be moving abroad.
The Munster scrum-half will see out the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign before making the move.
And speaking before the Six Nations loss to France – his last game at the Aviva Stadium – he revealed his family’s role in inspiring the career move.
He said: “In terms of playing, play another year somewhere, for my family, they’ve been incredible.
“My wife Joanna, my son Alfie, especially Joanna over the last few years and the sacrifices she’s made.
“So as a family, go away and maybe do something for a year and enjoy ourselves for a lifestyle change.
“Body-wise, I still feel great. I still feel I can play rugby at a high level. So nothing is set in stone yet.
“But I think that would be nice for us to let the dust settle on retiring in this country and go away and have an experience and come back to the real world then.”
If there is a regret in his career, it is that his time was just after Munster’s glory years.
He said: “With Ireland I’m so grateful to come in at that time. Came in in 2011 as a bolter for the World Cup.
“With Munster too, it’s my home province and we’ve battled and we’ve gotten close a few times.
“That will be something we might not do, you never know this year, but so far we haven’t done the European triumph which is something I grew up wanting to do.
“But I know I gave it everything for Munster and I will when I go back for the remainder of the season, and it would be lovely to get one of those cups.
“I’ve had so many highs in a Munster jersey. I know there isn’t a European Cup there but there are so many class memories I’ll take with me.
“The highs are incredible and the joy and satisfaction you feel, but I’m proud of that.”
