The City of Ekurhuleni is hiring a Personal Assistant in the Human Settlement Department. This is a permanent position with a competitive basic salary ranging from R371,208.00 to R509,256.00 per annum, plus benefits. This is a great opportunity for candidates with Grade 12 and relevant secretarial qualifications.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12, Secretarial Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Computer Literacy in MS Office
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Local Government operations
- Administrative procedures
- Document control
- Meeting protocols
- Office governance
- Strong skills in report formatting, multitasking, and office coordination
- 3 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Excellent communication and time management skills
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities between Council offices, departments, and stakeholders
- Execute high-quality administrative tasks as agreed with management
- Resolve and escalate queries appropriately
- Organize work and manage office systems
- Handle incoming/outgoing correspondence and manage the HOD’s diary
- Arrange meetings, workshops, catering, venues, and necessary equipment
- Use software to generate reports, correspondence, and spreadsheets
- Adhere to policies and performance standards
- Perform other secretarial/administrative duties as required
