‘He doesn’t understand what he’s doing.. it’s chaos’ – Micah Richards’ brutal Ruben Amorim assessment amid Man Utd woes

MICAH RICHARDS has hit out at Ruben Amorim following the Manchester United defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Red Devils succumbed to a 1-0 defeat in North London to leave the club rotting in 15th place in the Premier League table.

James Maddison netted the only goal of the game that saw Amorim rely on EIGHT teenagers in his injury-hit squad.

After the match, Amorim claimed that his job at Old Trafford is “so hard” and that he has “a lot of problems”.

It follows his suggestion that it is the “worst ever” Man United team after the loss to Brighton and Hove Albion in January.

And Richards has taken issue with the way the former Sporting Lisbon boss speaks to the media.

Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, the retired defender insisted that Amorim is “chaos”.

He said: “When he said this is the worst team in United history, whatever quotes he wants to use, what he doesn’t understand is that’s a headline every single week.

“If he doesn’t like a player, if he doesn’t like Rashford, that’s his decision.

“We can accept that as pundits, that’s your decision, we respect your decision.

“But all the other stuff around it he’s actually making it harder for himself.

“He doesn’t understand what he’s doing because everything is chaos. It’s chaotic.”

Richards continued his rant at Amorim by suggesting that the manager stop “giving nuggets” to make stories bigger.

He added: “You mentioned Sporting Lisbon, you can say what you want when you’re winning, and no disrespect to Sporting Lisbon – they’re not at the same level of club as Man United.

“I feel like he needs to, I don’t want to say focus on the football, but stop giving people nuggets bigger stories than it needs to be.”

Crisis-ridden Man United are set for their worst-ever finish in a Premier League season.

A supercomputer has predicted the club to remain in the bottom half of the table for the remainder of the campaign.

Fans hail ‘beautiful young man’ Michael O’Sullivan as old interview emerges of him explaining family’s love of horses

HORSE-RACING fans were urged to “stop what you’re doing and watch this” after an old interview of Michael O’Sullivan emerged in the wake of his passing.

The 24-year-old jockey tragically died on Sunday after suffering a horrendous fall at Thurles on February 6.

Tributes have been paid to the Corkman in the aftermath, with the likes of Willie Mullins, Rachael Blackmore, and Gordon Elliott among those paying their respects.

In the wake of his death, an interview he conducted with TheHorse.ie in December 2023 re-emerged.

In it, O’Sullivan revealed just how far back his family‘s love of horses goes and how it inspired his career.

He explained: “My father was an amateur jockey, William.

“He was quite successful; he won the Foxhunter [Chase] at Cheltenham on Lovely Citizen and the La Touche.

“My brother Alan is going down the same route.

“He wouldn’t have been taking as much of an interest as I did early on but when he did he just focused on race horses and that’s all he wanted to know.

“My uncle Eugene trains. My grandfather Eoin, he started the family off.

“He bred horses and owned horses all his life and obviously Maxine, my cousin, rides and Eoin, my cousin, used to ride as well.

“My aunt Marie McCartan is in Ballyphilip Stud with her husband Paul and they are doing very well.

“My father retired in 2005 and I have a brief memory of being at a point-2-point and seeing him in Trevor Hemmings’ colours and that is my only memory of him riding so that is my earliest memory.

“I was allergic to ponies early on. I couldn’t breathe or my eyes would all swell up so I wasn’t too keen on it for a while.

“I got antihistamines and I suppose just got used to it and started riding ponies properly from nine years of age on.”

The interview has gone viral since O’Sullivan’s death, with fans retweeting it while paying tribute to the jockey.

Tubba said: “What a nice boy – humble – talented – so sad” and Sinead posted: “There are no words. Devastating news.

“My thoughts are with Michael’s heart broken family. A fabulous young man.”

The Final Furlong Podcast tweeted: “If you haven’t seen it, watch this special feature on Michael O’Sullivan by @TheHorseIE.

“They sat down with him for an interview and followed him to the gallops and the track, giving a behind-the-scenes look at his incredible life as a jockey.

“A true class act. God rest him.”

Kate commented: “If you do one thing today, please watch this interview.

“Michael had achieved so much already in his career yet still had so much more to come with the racing world at his feet”

Richard said: “This is a brilliant piece about a brilliant young man. Give it a watch at some point”

Taking to social media, she explained how she gets ready for her day in front of the camera.

In the caption of the post, she wrote: “Get Ready With Me: TV Cook Life.

“Ever wonder what it takes to get camera-ready in a professional kitchen?

“Here’s my morning routine before the cameras start rolling…

“From picking the perfect shoe…. That no one will ever see (third time’s a charm!) to that final spritz of hairspray that needs to survive hot studio lights.

“The real tea? That ‘effortless’ on-screen look takes way more prep than you’d think!”

In the video, Aisling can be seen wearing a stunning denim dress that is perfect for spring.

She said: “I’m wearing this oversized, 1970s kind of vibe denim dress – I adore it.

“It’s new stock in Dunnes Stores“.

She paired it with some orange high heels from Una Healy’s collection for the perfect pop of colour.

The Savida Denim Mini Dress is on the shelves in stores across the country and online for just €40.

But fans have been quick to snap it up, as while it was originally available in sizes XXS to XXL, now the only size remaining is XS.

In the official item description on the Dunnes Stores website, fashion chiefs said: “This shirt dress from Savida is crafted from a soft and durable cotton denim.

“Cut to a mini length, it is designed with a classic collar, a three button placket, and two patch pockets.

“Pair it with tights and boots for an effortlessly stylish night-out look. Savida is available exclusively at Dunnes Stores.”

But as mentioned, shoppers will need to be quick as it appears to be flying out of stock online.

However, your size may still be available in your local store.

Meanwhile, shoppers are also loving a new cropped trench coat after it landed on racks.

The Gallery Suedette Cropped Trench Coat is a bargain, costing just €35.

You can choose between a lovely khaki colour or a stone shade.

Shoppers can pick up the coat in sizes ranging from XS to XL.

THE HISTORY OF DUNNES STORES

DUNNES Stores opened its first store on Patrick Street in Cork in 1944 - and it was an instant hit.

Shoppers from all over the city rushed to the store to snap up quality clothing at pre-war prices in Ireland’s first ‘shopping frenzy’.

During the excitement, a window was forced in and the police had to be called to help control the crowds hoping to bag founder Ben Dunne’s ‘Better Value’ bargains.

Dunnes later opened more stores in the 1950s and began to sell groceries in 1960 – starting with apples and oranges.

The retailer said: “Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town.

“Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong.

“Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas.”

The retailer’s first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960.

They added: “In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed.

“Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England.”

Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.

English beach town named one of the UK’s coolest places to live has fish festivals and legendary ice cream

THE seaside town of Newlyn in Cornwall has been dubbed as one of the ‘coolest’ places to relocate.

Near Penzance, the coastal gem has been highlighted in a list by The Times as one of the top 11 places to move to in 2025.

The Times said: “Since the 1880s Newlyn has been known for its art scene, thanks to the quality of the Cornish light and Aegeanesque beaches.”

They say it has a reputation for incredible seafood, beaches and its artistic history so we had a look for ourselves.

And it’s true, there’s so much to see and do in Newlyn, including getting up close and personal with the stunning coastline.

The beaches are of course a big hit in the summer months. The Newlyn Tolcarne Beach, also called Bowjey Beach, is a pebble beach on the edge of Newlyn.

It’s a great place to swim, but there are warnings to watch out for boat traffic as Newlyn is a busy harbour.

Walking on the coastline you’ll also hit Wherrytown Beach, a large pebble beach between Penzance and Newlyn.

The well-known town of Penzance is only one mile away and is home to a beach that is great for rockpooling and views of the tidal island, St Michael’s Mount.

For any film fans, the Newlyn Filmhouse is a good spot, the independent cinema is inside a converted Fish Cellar & Smokery first built in 1876.

They play new releases as well as Cornish features, musicals, children’s films, ballets, and host independent film openings and Q&As.

On their website their only rule is “no crunching or rustling!”

The fish festival takes place every August and there’s a weekend full of events to enjoy[/caption]

Fishing in Newlyn dates back to the 15th century, so any fan of the sport should really consider a visit.

Fish you can catch range from cod to haddock, lobster, crab, and scallops.

To fish on the pier you will need a permit which you can get from the Harbour Office, they cost £10 per year or £1 for a day.

The town is so passionate about fish that they even hold an annual fish festival.

On the August bank holiday, Newlyn celebrates all things fish. There are local arts and crafts, demonstrations of live cooking, theatre and entertainment.

There’s also the opportunity to see a traditional seafood auction.

If you’re less keen on the fishing and more keen on tasting what’s on offer, the Mackerel Sky Seafood Bar is a popular spot.

They offer crispy sole, grilled white fish, mackerel, monkfish burgers, crab and prawns – all locally caught of course.

Two doors down is the Mackerel Sky Seafood Shack, a less formal place to enjoy the same food.

You can’t go to the seaside without getting an ice cream and Jelberts is the hidden gem of Newlyn.

It’s a family run business owned by Jim Glover for nearly 40 years – and was run by his grandfather and uncle for another 40 years before that.

If the last name if familiar that’s because it’s made by the family of Olympic gold medallist Helen Glover.

The shop only serves one flavour of ice cream, vanilla, and is famous for serving clotted cream on top of its crispy waffle cones.

One customer said they have “the greatest vanilla ice cream I have ever eaten”.

TV chef James Martin once called it “fantastic” and the “best ice cream” he’d tasted.

Not technically in Newlyn, but the Jubilee Pool in Penzance is a four minute drive away – so it still counts.

The lido opened in 1935 and is filled with seawater that’s heated just above the external sea temperature.

There’s also a cafe and restaurant, so its a place where lots of locals spend their time.

One wrote: “This place is a joy. The clean lines of the design, the thoughtfully-selected gifts in the shop, the lovely soup and sandwiches in the cafe – everything has been done so well and so lovingly.”

They hold fitness classes as well as special events, some where dogs can take a dip, and even a full moon swim at night.

Here's another place to explore in Cornwall

Here's a sweet Cornish village to explore if you want to avoid the crowds...

The tiny village of Cadgwith has been named as a great alternative for tourists wanting to visit Cornwall, but avoid the crowds in peak season.

Located on the eastern side of the Lizard Peninsula, the tiny fishing village is home to a cluster of thatched cottages that line the sides of its harbour.

It even describes itself as being “forgotten by the 21st century” on its website. Sykes Holiday Cottages said: “Cadgwith, a quaint village and fishing port in Cornwall, brings all the charm of St Ives with much less people.”

Inside UK’s affair capital where wives cheat with toyboys – and why one of town’s biggest employers could be to blame

LOUNGING in her beautiful home on a leafy street, Hannah Turner has the luxury lifestyle most women could only dream of.

There’s a Porsche on the drive, a gardener and cleaner hard at work, and housewife Hannah, 51, spends her days shopping and exercising her polo ponies.

The town is the ‘cheating capital’ of the UK according to a ‘poll’ by Illicit Encounters[/caption]

When the mum-of-one married investment banker Hugo, 71, back in 2001, she was able to give up her job as a publisher to raise their daughter and has been a lady of leisure ever since.

Sounds ideal – but look a little closer and life behind closed doors isn’t quite as ‘picture perfect’ as it first appears.

Hannah and her husband haven’t had sex for years – in fact, she even admits the 20-year age gap between them now makes her skin crawl, as her greying, sagging husband has become ‘doddery’.

But that’s not to say her sex life has dried up.

In fact, she’s still getting plenty of action, having embarked on a secret affair with a younger man – just like all of her girlfriends do.

Shocked? Welcome to Cheltenham, Gloucestershire – dubbed the ‘affair capital’ of the UK.

The unassuming town was named the number one spot for adultery in a recent poll by extra-marital website Illicit Encounters – with seven per cent of the population confessing to having been unfaithful.

Extreme wealth, beautiful properties and a location on the commuter belt – as well as being the home of one of the UK’s biggest networks of spies – mean it’s easy to see how it became a hotbed of secrets and lies…

The ‘picture perfect’ marriage

In Hannah’s case, she admits she was blown away by husband Hugo’s wealth and movie-star good looks when she met him, when he was 50.

They met at a mutual friend’s wedding and within weeks, were an item.

“He was very alluring,” she recalls. “He owned a gorgeous, whopping-big Georgian town house, a collection of high-end cars, and a number of polo ponies.

“He was charming, but if I’m honest, I think I was probably taken in more by the lifestyle he could offer me.”

After the pair married two years into their relationship, they had a daughter together, and Hannah gave up work.

But as her husband got older, the attraction started to fade.

“Now, when I look at him, he’s greying, sagging, a little bit doddery – and I just think, ‘I don’t fancy you’.

“We don’t have sex any more. I’m not sure what I would do if he tried to be intimate with me now – I’d be horrified.

“I do feel guilty, because he’s provided me with the perfect life, but money isn’t everything.

“He doesn’t show me any affection – I feel completely ignored and alone. I feel more like a carer.”

The town boasts beautiful, leafy suburbs but behind some of the ‘picture perfect’ family lives can lie a trail of deceit and cheating[/caption]

‘Amazing sex’

Worried that her sex life was over in her 50s, Hannah decided to set out to have an affair a year ago.

“I didn’t just want a fumble in a hotel with a stranger – I wanted a proper emotional connection, a real relationship with someone,” she explains.

“Luckily, I met a man who is three years younger than me, who is also in a loveless marriage.

“He has young children, so doesn’t want to leave his wife, but we had an instant connection.

Because my husband is retired, he’s at home all the time, so I do need to be careful what I tell him about where I’m going.

Hannah

“We started off going for coffee dates out of town, where nobody would see us. Then a few weeks later we booked into a hotel during the day and had the most amazing, connected sex of my life.

“Because my husband is retired, he’s at home all the time, so I do need to be careful what I tell him about where I’m going.

“Usually, I’ll just tell him I’m going shopping, and I’m always careful to make sure I factor in some time to grab something on the way home in a bag, even if it’s just picking up dinner. He doesn’t seem to care.

“I admit I do enjoy the thrill of thinking that we might get caught out though, even though I know we’re very careful about where we go and not arriving or leaving together.”

‘It is like Rivals’

Hannah says she’s not alone – all of her girlfriends are in the same boat.

“We do joke it is a bit like Rivals,” Hannah says. “Our husbands are all a bit older, they are mostly bankers and work in the city, and have provided us with wonderful lifestyles.

“But like me, they mostly feel ignored and aren’t attracted to their husbands any more now they are older.

“We always tell them we are going out with each other, and I’d always cover for them if anyone ever asked if they were with me.”

Marriage counsellor Natasha Silverman says she’s seen a huge leap in the number of couples she sees struggling with infidelity issues since relocating to Cheltenham from London four years ago.

She says: “Infidelity definitely comes up significantly more as an issue for couples to work through in Cheltenham than it does anywhere else I have worked.

“There could be a number of reasons – one of the biggest issues I see is that it’s simply too expensive here for people to separate.

“The houses are pricey, and rather than try to divorce, often one partner will just have an affair on the side, rather than risk losing their house too.

“Cheltenham is also a town on the London commuter belt – if one partner is working away in London all week, it’s quite easy for them to leave their relationships behind them and conduct an affair during the week.

“And sometimes, couples even move out to the countryside because they’re struggling anyway with their marriage, thinking it will help them work through difficulties and connect them more through the lifestyle – but that’s rarely the case.”

‘Dual-mating’

Natasha adds Cheltenham is also a hotspot for so-called ‘dual-mating’ – a theory that women pursue both short-term and long-term relationships simultaneously.

She adds: “I have spoken to a lot of women who have a husband who provides for them, they have reproduced with and provides a safe and secure lifestyle.

“Unfortunately, safety and security are often the antidote to sexual desire, so they then also look for a ‘short term’ partner – who is physically attractive and can fulfil their sexual needs.

“It’s quite a new theory, but definitely something I see a lot in practice.”

When we visited, most locals weren’t surprised to hear their hometown had been named affair capital of the country.

Jemima, 25, told us: “Loads of people have affairs round here, I’m always hearing about it.

“It’s all beautiful houses and roses around the windows, but there’s all kind of things going on behind closed doors.

“The wealthy people of Cheltenham live a completely different life to the rest of us.

“In a previous job, the boss was having an affair with the secretary – it was a huge open secret, they’d openly flirt in the office and disappear together at lunchtime, but nobody said anything when his wife came into the office.”

Dual dating damages relationships

By Sally Land, The Sun’s Agony Aunt

Dual mating – it sounds so convenient – one long-term relationship for security and another short term coupling for sex. And I’m sure there are many women and men who feel they have found the ideal set up for a comfortable life, combined with the excitement of an illicit and exciting affair.

That is of course, until it’s not. This idealistic approach to relationships ignores the damage being done to the long-term relationship. If the marriage is an unfilled one then it’s far better to work on that, or face the reality that both parties might be happier apart.

An unhappy union creates a miserable home environment for everyone and any children will suffer as a result of the tension in their family environment. Significantly, recent surveys have found that roughly a significant two thirds of adulterers are discovered by their partners.

Finding out a partner has been unfaithful puts the couple on an antagonistic pathway, tilting them towards disputes over money, assets and access to children. The children who are so often caught in this destructive crossfire often suffer with long-term issues such as low self worth, anger and mental health problems.

I’d urge anyone planning to skip off to their next illicit encounter to think hard about the reality of their actions. If you are worried about anything you can email my team of counsellors for free and personal advice on deardeidre@the-sun.co.uk

‘Living a double life’

Cheltenham – where the average house price was £348,000 in October 2024 – is perfectly situated in many respects.

It’s close to areas of outstanding natural beauty, as well as boasting excellent transport links to the city too.

And fitness instructor Sophie, 40, reckons the town’s position as home of the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), one of the UK’s three bases for the secret intelligence service, means there’s even more chance for people to be living a double life.

She said: “Everyone knows there are loads of spies living in Cheltenham, but of course nobody’s allowed to say that they’re a spy.

“There are probably loads of people living a double life anyway, it would be easy for them to just carry on that deception into their private lives.

“They’d be good at it too.”

THE SIGNS THAT HE’S CHEATING

PSYCHOLOGIST Emma Kenny reveals behaviour to look out for if you suspect your other half is doing the dirty on you. . .

Have they begun hitting the gym?

HAS your partner started acting differently out of the blue? Maybe they’re more attentive than usual or, conversely, distant. These sudden shifts can be a red flag. If your once laid-back lover now hits the gym religiously or spruces up their appearance more than ever, best pay attention.

Do they guard their phone?

IN this digital age, our phones are like extensions of ourselves. If your partner suddenly becomes overly protective of their phone, hiding screens, changing passwords or taking calls in private, this could indicate they’re hiding something. Trust your gut – if it feels off, it probably is.

Are they working late?

REGULAR late nights at the office or frequent trips out of town can be legitimate. However, if these absences come with vague explanations or an air of secrecy, then it might be cause for concern. A pattern of absences that are unaccounted for can often be a clue that something is amiss.

Has your sex life changed?

IF so, this can be telling. If your partner is suddenly less interested in physical intimacy or, conversely, overly experimental, these could be signs of infidelity. A shift in the frequency or quality of your intimate moments often reflects underlying issues in the relationship.

Are they distant?

EMOTIONAL disconnection is another big indicator. If your once-loving partner is now emotionally unavailable, avoiding deep conversations or showing less affection, they might be investing their emotional energy elsewhere. Pay attention to how they respond to your needs and feelings.

‘Shocked… but not surprised’

Di, 70, agrees.

“Back in the 90s there were always a lot of Americans living in Cheltenham because of GCHQ.

“From what I heard from friends, they were very charming and working with them was a bit of a riot.

There were parties every weekend – and I’m sure it’s no different now.”

Dog-walker Tracey says the town provides the perfect opportunity for those having an affair to play away.

“There are so many people coming and going,” she says. “It probably is quite easy for people to have an affair if they want to.

“A lot of people live in Cheltenham but work away, and when the races are on, there are loads of people coming into the town, and all sorts of strip clubs pop up.

“I’m pretty shocked that so many people seem to be having affairs in Cheltenham, it’s a lovely town – shocked but not necessarily surprised.”

TUI to scrap flights to three popular holiday hotspots this year

THREE popular winter sun destinations will no longer have flights with TUI Airways.

The tour operator is scrapping flights from the UK to Costa Rica, St Lucia and Orlando.

And Brits heading to Costa Rica will now have to book connecting flights with TUI holidays[/caption]

The London Gatwick to Costa Rica route will be scrapped from April, according to Travel Gossip.

Last year, around 50,000 Brits visited Costa Rica, an increase of five per cent.

The current flight, which lands at Liberia Airport, is the only direct flight option from the UK.

Having only relaunched as a winter flight route post-pandemic (despite previously offering a summer flight schedule,) Brits will have to join a connecting flight instead.

This takes the flight time from around 10 hours to 18 hours.

Or, British Airways offers direct flights during the winter season from November to March, to San Jose Airport instead.

TUI’s St Lucia flights from London Gatwick will also stop from the end of May.

TUI first launched flights to St Lucia from both London Gatwick and Manchester airports in 2020.

However, Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) said that they would see the “same arrival numbers” with flights offered by other airlines.

They added: “With daily flights to the island with British Airways from Gatwick airport and three flights a weeks on Virgin Atlantic from London Heathrow, Saint Lucia will remain well served from the UK market.”

TUI will still be offering holiday packages to both St Lucia and Costa Rica, but flights will no longer be with TUI Airways.

And TUI also appears to have removed their Birmingham to Orlando flight route from October.

Sun Travel has contacted TUI for comment.

Last April, TUI scrapped it’s Manchester to Cuba direct service.

But the tour operator has also launched a number of new flights.

Last year, TUI relaunched flights from Southampton for the first time in 15 years.

Other new flights include new routes from Cardiff to Fuerteventura, and to Luxor from both Manchester and London Gatwick.

And TUI has said more Brits are flocking to destinations like Egypt, Bulgaria and Albania with Spain being “full” this summer.

What do the TUI flight cancellations mean for Brits?

The Sun’s Head of Travel Lisa Minot weighs in:

TOUR operating giant TUI’s decision to slash flights to Costa Rica and St Lucia will be disappointing for fans of the tropical getaways.

But it’s no surprise the company is making changes to make the best use of its fleet.

As the world’s largest charter airline, it has 60 planes flying to more than 100 destinations worldwide from 17 UK airports.

The fleet includes 13 Boeing 787 Dreamliners used on their long-haul routes and getting the most out of these planes will be a priority.

TUI Belgium – part of the global TUI corporation – announced it was axing ALL its long haul routes from Brussels this month in an effort to cut flights that were not commercially viable.

The European carrier is said to be focusing its long haul aircraft on routes to Africa that are known to be more lucrative.

So there is every chance that although there will be less choice of flights to the Caribbean for the winter, some interesting new destinations could soon be announced for Brits too.

Sebastien Ebel, TUI Group chief executive, said: “In summer, there is high demand for Bulgaria, Tunisia and Egypt, so there are changes in demand patterns.

“Majorca will be full in summer, the Canaries are full in winter, but there is enough choice for customers to find the right vacation.”

I’m an Irish driving instructor and here’s easy mistake you must avoid during the test

AN Irish driving instructor has revealed an easy mistake you must avoid during the test – as it may stop you from passing.

Lyle, known on TikTok as @Lyletheinstructor, is a hugely popular instructor with over 70,000 followers on the platform.

And he warned his followers to be aware of the difference between a stop and a yield sign[/caption]

And he took to TikTok to warn novice drivers about a simple mistake that could prevent them from passing the exam.

Lyle said: “This is one of the easiest mistakes you can make in your driving test, so make sure you don’t do this on the day of your test.

“I was just out on a lesson when a student asked me what’s the difference between a stop sign and a yield sign.”

A stop sign means you must come to a complete stop before proceeding.

You must also check for any oncoming traffic or pedestrians before moving forward.

On the other hand, a yield sign means you need to slow down and give way to any traffic that has the right of way.

While you don’t have to stop completely at a yield sign, you must be prepared to stop if necessary.

Lyle told his followers that the key difference is that a stop sign requires a full stop, while a yield sign only asks you to give way when needed.

He said: “At a stop sign, even if there is nobody around – you need to absolutely stop, 0km.

“It’s as simple as that; don’t make that mistake—it’s a really easy one to make.

“Make sure that you stop the car and then move if it’s a stop sign or a stop line.”

In the Irish driving test, failing to understand or properly respond to road signs can lead to failure of the test.

These types of errors are known as dangerous faults because they directly relate to road safety and could cause serious harm to yourself or other road users.

Driving test tip

This comes after another TikToker warned drivers to check their L plates before heading to the exam.

@Next_level_driving_school on TikTok shares useful tips and tricks on their page.

Faded L plates could give your driving instructor a reason to cancel your test, and you may lose out on the money.

He said: “Probably better off not turning up to your test with faded L plates because your test might not go ahead, and it will be a waste of €85.”

“So make sure your L plates are in good condition and not faded, so the tester doesn’t refuse to take your test.”
