Christine McGuinness signs up for huge reality show after split from Paddy and unlikely friendship with Spencer Matthews
NEWLY divorced Christine McGuiness has signed up for Celebs Go Dating as the E4 show heads to Ibiza for the first time.
The 37-year-old model ex of comedian Paddy, 51, will open up about her love life on camera as she navigates romance as a single mum-of-three on Celebs Go Dating, which heads to the White Isle.

A telly insider said: “Show bosses are delighted to have snapped up Christine, they think she’ll be great on-screen and appeal to lots of other women in their thirties dating after getting a divorce.
“Fans will see a new side to Christine too as she opens up about her personal life and films coaching sessions with the show’s dating experts.
“Chrisine has been open on social media about how she found spirituality and healing in Ibiza, so she’s thrilled to be working over there.”
Filming begins in May with the series set to air later this year. A spokeswoman for the show said: “We don’t comment on speculation.”
Christine and Paddy split in 2022 after 11 years of marriage and the exes are currently selling their £6.5m Cheshire home.
Speaking recently Christine opened up about how the couple navigate living under the same roof. She said: “Paddy and I are on separate floors. So my bedroom and dressing room is my little haven.
“We both work in TV yet neither of us watch what each other does.”
It comes after it was revealed Christine struck up an unlikely friendship with Spencer Matthews while filming for BBC‘s Pilgrimage: The Road Through North Wales, which aired last year.
“You would never have put those two together but they got along instantly,” an insider said of the pair as they filmed the BBC show.
“Poor Christine had been through the mill. She had been with Paddy since she was so young.
“He was really all she knew in a man, so then to strike up this friendship with Spencer was just lovely. It was noticed by everyone on set that they got on especially well.
“It must have been so refreshing for her to have someone making her laugh, as they really got into the spiritual side of life.”
Christine and Spencer hiked 225km across Wales along with five other celebs of different faiths and beliefs.
In one of the final scenes of the programme, Christine said to the group: “For me it doesn’t feel like the end at all, it feels like the beginning.
“It’s made me want to live more. I don’t just want to exist.”

Forget ‘Feed the Bear’ – Celtic icon Roy Aitken is a dog whisperer now as he makes refuge appeal
CELTIC fans used to sing ‘Feed The Bear’ — but Roy Aitken admits he’s more of a DOG WHISPERER now!
The big-hearted former Celtic and Scotland captain is helping a bid to raise £50,000 for a refuge for abandoned and abused dogs in Turkiye.

He has appealed to provide food and shelter for the animals who have been discarded by their owners around the town of Aydin, south of Izmir.
Ex-Aberdeen boss Aitken said: “The complex is called Efeler Canlari and they do brilliant work.
“It was originally my wife Jane’s project.
“She had got friendly with these people who were trying to help the dogs in Turkiye.
“It struck a chord with us because we did something similar when we were in Dubai.
“We built a dog sanctuary when we were there, and actually rescued three dogs and brought them back with us when we returned to the UK.
“In Turkiye the dog population is a major problem, they are culling dogs in the streets.
“This group in the south-west of the country rescues hundreds of dogs and cats and we sponsor them.
“These aren’t wild dogs, they are domesticated pets who were abandoned by their owners.
“The guy who runs it wants to bring them into a safer environment than having them on the streets. They are not re-housing these dogs.
“They are basically just taking them off the street and protecting them from being culled, but it’s at a cost.
“There are vet bills, upkeep of the sanctuary, food, controlling the puppy population and vaccinations — all sorts of things.
“We decided to start a GoFundMe page and I sent a few messages out on WhatsApp.
“Any money that people contribute will go towards buying a bag of dog food or paying a vet’s bill, whatever the people out there decide.
“I’ve been out a couple of times to see it and check it out, just to be sure about what they were doing.
“They are proper people, they do it in their own time.
“Aydin’s an hour south of Izmir.
“It’s a rural area so there’s expenditure on fences and general upkeep of the area, because it is largely farmland.
“They have between 150 and 200 dogs in the sanctuary I visited.
There’s a separate area where there are another 30-40 cats.
“They are picking pups up off the streets all the time, but obviously there’s a limit on how many they can take into a one-off sanctuary area.
“At the moment it’s about the maintenance of the centre.
“But if they could get it up to a good level they would maybe be able to have people visit and take the dogs for walks or even re-house them.

“The big thing you notice is that the dogs are all friendly.
“Sometimes there’s a bit of a pack mentality, but they are used to being around humans because they have been someone’s pet.
“My wife Jane started doing the research about it after coming across their website.
“She linked with them and we started supporting them.
“When I went out I could see they were doing things like bringing in a tractor to turn the ground.
“There’s a fair bit of cleaning and feeding involved in looking after the animals.
“But people send them bags of food and there are links to do that.
“They got this little farm about a year ago where they keep the dogs.
“But there are also dogs living in the mountains surrounding Aydin and the guy who runs the sanctuary goes up into the hills and feeds them.
“They are domesticated animals that are having to live in the mountains and it’s sad to see.
“The organisation is on Facebook, Twitter and TikTok. It would be great for dog lovers to be aware of them as they do great work.”
