What TV channel is Connacht vs Munster on? FREE stream, kick-off time and odds for historic URC interpro
STAND-IN Connacht boss Colm Tucker has warned his players to play the game and not the occasion when the Westerners host Munster in front of 26,000 fans in Castlebar.
Tucker, who is leading the management team while head coach Pete Wilkins is on sick leave, reckons it will be a wonderful occasion at MacHale Park — the home of Mayo GAA.
But he stressed his side cannot lose sight of the URC points at stake, with just five games left in the league.
Scrum and contact coach Tucker said: “The history and importance of this game is not lost on us.
“We appreciate and recognise what this fixture means to the people of Mayo and the wider province.
“All the players and management feel extremely fortunate to be involved.
“But we’re also aware of just how important this game is in the context of our overall season.
“If we can pick up the win against strong opposition, we’ll be in a good spot in a very tight league.
“It’s our job from top to bottom to deliver a performance befitting of the occasion, and with over 20,000 Connacht fans cheering the boys on, they will do everything in their power to back that up.”
What TV channel is Connacht vs Munster on?
Today’s clash will be shown live on TG4 and Premier Sports as well as being available to stream via URC.tv.

What are the odds?
The home side are 17/10 while Munster are fancied at 8/15.
A draw is set at 19/1 while the handicap is +/-five points.
Further build-up:
Tucker’s cousin, Munster assistant coach Mossy Lawler, insists the Reds know what to expect in Castlebar.
Lawler said: “We’ve done our due diligence, but it’s a little bit of an unknown for us all for a rugby match in that stadium.”
Connacht will look to internationals Mack Hansen, Bundee Aki, Finlay Bealham and skipper Cian Prendergast.

Eighties movie heartthrob with controversial love life unrecognisable after decade-long feud with famous best friend
IN 1987, this actor looked ready to take on Hollywood as brooding new vampire Michael in The Lost Boys.
Now, nearly 40 years on from the film’s release, the star has returned to TV screens – only this time on the right side of the law.

The past four decades have certainly been turbulent for actor Jason Patric, both on and off the screen, with his career highs being matched by equal career lows.
After playing Michael in The Lost Boys, he became one to watch on the Hollywood scene alongside Kiefer Sutherland, who played blond-mulleted vampire leader David.
Together they formed a close friendship as their careers took off.
Shortly after the film’s release, Jason – whose notable rocker image and long-hair garnered a significant number of female fans – was even in line to play The Doors’ Jim Morrison in a biopic on his life, but the part eventually went to Val Kilmer.
Jason grew up around Hollywood and creative people. His father was Oscar-nominated actor and playwright Jason Miller – who’s best known for his starring role as one of the priests in The Exorcist.
On top of that, his maternal grandfather was Jackie Gleason, star of The Honeymooners and Smokey and the Bandit.
Jason landed his Lost Boys role shortly after graduation, and only had one other credit to his name at the time of being cast.
While he maintained a friendship with Sutherland, their relationship derailed in 1991 when Jason started dating Pretty Woman star Julia Roberts.
Julia was engaged to be married to Sutherland in June 1991, but the marriage never happened, with the pair calling things off shortly before the big day.
Jason and Julia went public with their relationship shortly thereafter – and on the day of what would have been the wedding, the pair went on holiday to Ireland while Sutherland moved out of the home he shared with her.
The couple would split in 1992, and it would take over a decade before Jason and Sutherland reconciled.
Eventually, they would repair their friendship, having been cast together on Broadway in That Champion Season – which is written by Jason’s father.
In 2011, Jason told Cinemovie that he was “very close” with his Lost Boys co-star once again.
Jason has also previously dated Christy Turlington from 1994 to 1999, and Danielle Schrieber, with whom he has a son.
During the last decade, Jason has appeared both on stage – notably in his father’s seminal work That Champion Season on Broadway – and screen, with hits including Sleepers and Speed 2: Cruise Control.
In 2009, he appeared alongside Cameron Diaz in cult favourite My Sister’s Keeper, as the devastated husband and father caught between the warring mother and daughter.
Earlier this year, Jason landed a new role in Law & Order: Organised Crime, joining Christopher Meloni in the latest spin-off of the long-running crime drama.
He is playing Detective Tim McKenna in what has been billed as a recurring role throughout the fifth season.

Inside Freddy Brazier’s rocky relationship with dad Jeff as TV presenter calls in lawyers to block contact with gran
EVER since Jade Goody’s tragic death 16 years ago her ex-boyfriend Jeff Brazier has devoted himself to raising their sons, Bobby and Freddy, to the best of his ability.
The media personality and wellbeing advocate shielded his boys from the glare of life in the spotlight all the while making a living on TV as a Sky Sports presenter and reality show contestant.

Along the way, Jeff, 45, admits he lost his sense of fun and play, something he addressed during the BBC‘s Race Across The World, which he took part in last year with youngest son Freddy, 20.
He grew emotional as he spoke about rediscovering the man he was before Jade’s untimely death from cervical cancer.
While he’s given his all to his family, Jeff and Freddy’s relationship has been strained at times.
The protective father recently began legal proceedings to prevent Freddy, 20, from seeing his nan, Jackiey Budden, due to fears she’s a bad influence on him.
One of the reasons Jeff signed up the popular BBC reality show, which saw the duo travel from Belém, Brazil to Frutillar, Chile, without the use of mobile phones, was to reconnect with Freddy, admitting he rarely spends time at home.
He’s been known to stop at Jackiey’s Bermondsey flat when things aren’t going well between them and has even filmed himself taking drugs there.
A source told the Mail: “He and Jeff often argue, the rows can be bad, things go really, really pear-shaped between them, and that’s it, he leaves.”
Ahead of their South American adventure, Jeff said: “D’you know what I’m most looking forward to about this trip is that I feel like I’m about to learn a lot more about my son.”
He told Radio Times: “I feel like at some point he’s going to move out and I’ll lose him. So, I guess I’m just trying to squeeze every last bit out of him that I can.”
Their journey was open, honest and fraught at times as they clashed over strategy and their inability to adequately share their feelings with one another.
Freddy said: “I lost my mum when I was four, and that was on Mother’s Day, which is really hard. I don’t really like showing my emotions.
“I don’t even speak to my dad much about my mum either. I just avoid it. I prefer to bottle it up. I don’t want to feel like I’m a burden to them.”
In one telling exchange after Freddy secretly spent some money on food, Jeff told him: “You don’t have to do things on the quiet, surely it only makes life easier for us as a family if we’re all just honest?”
Freddy responded: “I don’t think we are even open as a family though, I stay quiet because I feel like that’s what everyone else does.”
Shocked, Jeff reminded his son how he’s been speaking out on the power of communication for years.
He asked: “Are you joking? Freddy, don’t be unfair, what have I done for the last seven or eight years?”

Despite all the struggles, proud dad Jeff has high hopes for his son and expects him to succeed outside the conventions of stereotypical success.
He said: “I couldn’t hazard a guess on how Fred‘s mind works, but I know he’s going to do something amazing in his lifetime. We need the pioneers, we need the people that give a completely different opinion.
“That’s what Fred’s role is gonna be. And I see it. I’ve always seen it and I look forward to him realising it, one day it’s all gonna click and fall into place.”
Jeff recently hired a leading barrister for an upcoming court hearing regarding Jade Goody‘s mum, Jackiey.
A source close to the Brazier family has said of Jeff’s action: “This is something Jeff and anyone who cares about Freddy hopes will help keep Freddy safe from a relationship that has been incredibly detrimental to his well being for a long time now.
“The fact that he is going down this route shows how concerned we all are and how our efforts to keep Fred safe are being grossly undermined by other people.’’
Jackiey broke her silence after the legal battle was revealed, telling the Mail: “Do I want to see Freddy? Of course I do. I see Freddy all of the time. I will see him.”
