Pep Guardiola is married to Brazilian journalist and writer Cristina Serra.

In January 2025, the couple ended their relationship after living apart for nearly five years, with Cristina moving back to Barcelona to run her fashion company.

Determined to avoid an ugly court battle and remain on good terms, they have made the bold decision to share the same legal team.

According to sources, they have already agreed the initial terms of a multi-million pound settlement that could be finalised within a matter of weeks.

The extraordinarily rare “one couple, one lawyer” divorce means the formal end of their marriage will not be contested by either side.

Spanish journalist Lorena Vazquez, who broke the story of their split, explained: “They want it above all to be friendly for the sake of their children.

“As you can imagine money is not going to be an issue and they have already agreed the initial terms to make sure this separation is the most cordial possible.

“They have a very good relationship, so much so that the same lawyer is arranging the whole thing.

“The divorce is on the way and is being left in the hands of people with their absolute trust.”

She told Spanish TV programme ‘Y Ahora Sonsoles’ the couple split after Pep signed a two-year extension at the Etihad to keep him at City until 2027.

Cristina’s family owns a fashion store called Serra Claret in the Spanish city, where that she met her future husband when he was just 18.

Guardiola was doing some modelling for designer Antonio Miro in the shop when he first saw Cristina.

Serra Claret stocks many brands that you see Pep wearing on the touchline including Dsquared2, CP Company and Armani.

Guardiola previously stated that he trusts his wife so much when it comes to fashion that he lets her pick his clothes for him.

In an interview in January 2024, the footie boss revealed how Cristina even chose his match day outfits.

“So she says normally to me, don’t wear this or wear that, so I follow her.
