Located just under an hour from the bustling Split Saint Jerome Airport, Primošten is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the south.

And Ryanair is currently offering flights from Ireland from €24.99.

The village is well-known for its seaside charm, historical appeal, picturesque streets and tucked-away gems.

There are a number of bargain hotels in the area with sea views and private beach access – with the average price per night roughly €70.

During April and May, temperatures reach highs of 25C and lows of 20C, making it the perfect spot for a spring getaway.

The region is popular for its spectacular coastal views and unique activities, such as wine tasting and waterfall tours.

Primošten has many attractions on offer, including its gorgeous Old Town with beautiful buildings, a breathtaking landscape, many sandy beaches, crystal-blue waters and a fantastic dining culture.

Tourists’ expectations of the beach are set to be exceeded as the village is also known as “the city of beaches”.

Mala Raduča beach is one of the main charms that the area has to offer – and it’s just positioned near the busy village.

Tourists flock to the popular beach spot for its soft golden sand, crystal clear waters and excellent services, including changing rooms, lockers for storage, parasols, sunbeds and hammocks.

And there are sports and recreational facilities available for those beach sports lovers.

Local cuisine in Primošten

Along the beach, there are many food establishments available including bars, cafes, bakery, pizzeria, restaurants and convenience stores.

The venues by the beach often provide local cuisine and products representing the city and country, meaning plenty of delicious black risotto and brodetto to try.

The Old Town of Primošten has many picturesque maze of narrow streets to explore, with gorgeous plants on the streets, charming white stone houses, local shops and food-tasting classes.

It is well known for its wine-tasting classes, with tourists travelling worldwide to try delicious wines from the Croatian vineyard with some local food bites and a big dish.

Many restaurants and pubs can be found on the streets, with a bottle of beer costing as little as €4, while a meal out at a mid-range restaurant will cost €15.

Many nightlife events are held in the Old Town pubs, expressing the village’s culture with their classical music.

Popular attractions

Locals often urge visitors to see the Church of Saint George, the highest point in the village.

It features a bell tower that dominates the horizon, making it a unique destination with great character.

For those who want to have a little bit of fun, they are encouraged to try out one of their local private tours where they can try out delicious food and wine tasting from many vineyards in the area.

They get the opportunity to visit the Krka National Park, featuring a gorgeous waterfall, and the town of Sibenik – which are highly recommended in the area on many itineraries.

It takes four to ten hours to complete the tour, meaning you are guaranteed to make your day out of it while sipping on wine!

Lastly, they also suggest visitors see another key viewpoint, which can be found on Gaj Hill, where they will find the 17m-high statue of Our Lady of Loreto.

Built in 2017, the Croatian statue is one of the world’s highest statues of its kind.

There are plenty of other picturesque spots too, including the statue of a fisherman with a cat – believed to represent daily life in Primošten.

“Everything that I ever disliked is redeemed”: Stephen King’s Prediction on Mike Flanagan Came True After His Disgust for Kubrick’s Version of ‘The Shining’

Stephen King does not even hide his hatred for Stanley Kubrick’s take on The Shining as the author publicly criticized it for lacking emotional investment. We can’t blame him, though—he looked for the elements that reflected his own personal struggles in the movie and failed to find them. Thankfully, Mike Flanagan set out to fix […]

Netflix make major change to new Building The Band series to prevent fan backlash after Liam Payne’s tragic death

SCENES featuring One Direction star Liam Payne could be drastically cut back in the upcoming series of boyband search, Building the Band.

I understand bosses at Netflix are trying to find a way that the singer can remain as a presence in the final edit of the show when it drops on the streaming service later this year.

He signed up to be a guest judge on the contest and filmed his section in the UK last year, just months before he died in tragic circumstances in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October.

But the streaming giant wants to avoid a backlash from viewers, who might think that having him feature in the show too much is insensitive or in poor taste.

A TV insider said: “The feeling among execs at Netflix is that they want to err on the side of caution, and if that means having Liam in the least amount of scenes possible then that’s the step they’re willing to take.

“They want to strike the right balance between having him feature in the show, doing the thing he loved, with having him feature too much, which would be a lot for his loved ones to contend with.

“Discussions are ongoing with Liam’s family, and their views are a crucial consideration for Netflix.

“But fans may be surprised by how little he ends up featuring in the finished series.

“The one option they probably don’t have is to remove him entirely from the show, even if they wanted to, because he’s an intrinsic part of the process the boy bands go through on the series.”

Those close to Liam’s family were surprised that Netflix confirmed in January that Building The Band would air later this year.

They thought they would have a final say on the show and that discussions were ongoing.

Netflix were approached for comment.

In it, Laurence discovers what inspires homeowners to be different by banishing all things bland, and uncovers the hard work put in to finish each project.

He said: “Twenty-eight years ago when I filmed the first episode of Changing Rooms, I suspected this nation wasn’t the aesthetic blandscape it appeared to be.

“Now, with Season Deux (The Glampire Strikes Back), I’ll be up to the armpits in weird.

Applications to appear on the series are open now.

JODIE WHITTAKER warned her Doctor Who replacement Ncuti Gatwa that time on the series “goes so quick”.

I previously revealed the BBC show faced the axe as lead star Ncuti was poised to quit.

Jodie said in ST Culture mag: “I was grief-stricken when it ended.”

NAT APPY TO CHAT

FILMING for EastEnders, joining Beeb comedy Boarders and starting a consumer series might keep Natalie Cassidy busy but she still has time for her fans.

In fact, she texts them.

Natalie, who plays Sonia Fowler on the soap, tells listeners on her podcast Life With Nat to text on WhatsApp.

She told the Monday Mile podcast: “I get messages every day, it’s like a real community.

“I text them back.

“Not all of them, or you could be doing it all day, but I will reply, ‘Thanks’, and they’re like, ‘Is this really you’ – so if I have time, I put voice notes in.

“I want people to feel part of it.”

Natalie will leave Albert Square this year, and will play an eccentric maths teacher in Boarders, and host consumer series What’s The Big Deal.

British schoolboy, 14, dies in horror skiing accident during a half-term family holiday in northern Italy

A BRITISH schoolboy, 14, has died in a skiing accident while on a half-term holiday with his family in northern Italy.

Despite the teen wearing a helmet, he suffered severe chest injuries after losing control on the slopes before crashing into a tree.

Paramedics desperately fought to save the 14-year-old for over half an hour using a defibrillator, but he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

The tragedy occurred on Falzarego red run, a slope spanning 3.5km from Lagazuoi toward Col Gallina.

Witnesses claim that the boy had built up significant speed before hitting a dip that launched him forward with no control.

He then went crashing into a tree at high impact in the horror accident.

Francesco Cataldo Giorgi, vice president of the Happy Ski school in Cortina, told Corriere del Veneto: “Had he fallen just a few metres earlier or later, he may have escaped unharmed.

“But in this sport, one wrong fall in the wrong place can be fatal.

“We must always exercise extreme caution.”

The family had been on their half-term holiday in the Bolzano region alongside two other families.

They had only just begun their day on the slopes when the tragic accident occurred at around 9:30AM.

The teen’s parents are receiving medical and psychological support following the unimaginable ordeal, as they face the tragic task of repatriating their son’s body back to the UK.
