However, one savvy individual has discovered a clever trick to help you enjoy your favourite designer perfume without breaking the bank.

Jordon Cox, known as ‘couponkiduk’ on TikTok, has shared his ingenious hack to get “expensive perfumes for free.”

He explains: “At Superdrug, if you buy one of these travel perfume pods, they’ll let you choose any perfume in-store to fill it with for free.

“Pro tip: choose one of the most expensive ones you can find to smell like a million pounds without paying for it.

“You’ll only get the first fill for free, but it’s a handy little tool to take with you on holiday.”

His video gained lots of attention with many people rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “I bought 5 of those for 64p.

“I am saving money by filling them with my own perfume that someone else bought for me.”

A second added: “Keep up the good work!”

We previously revealed a DIY beauty hack that only costs £2.25 and will help with brightening under-eye areas.

In a viral video, TikTok user Adria (@fitfoodadria) demonstrated the simple trick to her followers.

She explained that her unusual beauty tip has sparked some confused reactions, but despite the scepticism, the TikToker insists it works wonders for banishing dark circles.

“When I tell people I literally use coffee and honey to brighten my under-eyes,” Adria said, using a popular TikTok sound to mimic the disbelief she often encounters.

The beauty enthusiast carefully applied the dark, grainy mixture under both her eyes, using a cotton swab to spread the DIY concoction evenly across her skin.

“My family thinks I’m nuts, but I swear it works!” Adria wrote in the clip’s caption.

The best part? You likely already have these ingredients at home.

For those looking to try it out, you can pick up a 200g jar of instant coffee for just £2.25 at Asda.

FASHION expert Abby McHale has shared her thoughts on Superdrug jewellery...

Who would have thought the shop where you pick up all your beauty needs is also the place to go for jewellery.
Well Superdrug actually has a rather large jewellery section.
Online there are over 150 pieces to choose from and the best part is, most pieces are under £10.
You can even pick yourself up the likes of a watch for £9.99 – bargain.
Or you can stay bang on trend with tone drop earrings, chunky rings and layered necklaces.
So next time you run out of mascara and head into Superdrug take a look at its jewellery range as I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Burnley and Leeds fans call for refunds after ‘worst game of any form of sport ever’ – as woeful stats emerge

BURNLEY and Leeds fans are demanding refunds after watching the “worst game of any form of sport ever.”

The Championship title contenders went head-to-head last night in what had been billed as an epic showdown.

Leeds were already top of the table after second-place Sheffield United lost to Hull on Friday.

While third-place Burnley, three points off the summit, were hoping to go level with Leeds after losing just twice so far this season.

Scott Parker’s men boast the meanest defence in English football with only nine goals conceded.

But Daniel Farke’s side are no slouches themselves and have suffered just three defeats so far.

Unfortunately for fans though, what should have been a thriller quickly turned into a drab affair.

Neither side wanted to relinquish their statuses as incredibly tough teams to beat.

And across the entire 90 minutes, just ONE shot between the sides was on target.

That honour went to Leeds, who ended up having eight attempts on goal.

As for Burnley, they managed just four shots and failed to get a single one on target.

The Clarets also made sure to disrupt play as much as possible as their dogged stars made 13 tackles – resulting in nine fouls.

But Leeds incredibly managed to give away 11 fouls despite only making eight tackles themselves.

And fans were left to bemoan the lack of action as the whistle blew on a dismal 0-0 stalemate.

One said: “This Burnley Leeds game is, with no exaggeration, the worst game of any form of sport to have ever taken place.

“Every single person at the game, or who watched it, should be reimbursed.”

Another declared: “Drained the life out of me tonight.”

One noted: “I fell asleep and I was in the stadium.”

Another added: “Absolutely shambolic, poor fans.”

Urgent ‘priceless gift of life’ appeal for people to donate blood as Storm Eowyn knocks supplies amid 12k donations plea

THE national blood supply has plummeted across Ireland due to “exceptionally high demand” for donations over the last year.

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service said that severe weather conditions like Storm Eowyn combined with high levels of respiratory illnesses have led to a significant reduction in blood donations.

The service has urged the public to give blood over the next few days as fears grow over scarce stocks, with just a few days supply left in most blood groups.

Paul McKinney, IBTS’ Director of Donor Services and Logistics, explained: “In order to avoid putting further pressure on our hospital system, we need over 12,000 donations in the coming days and weeks, to restore the blood supply, and safely support our health service.

“In 2024, the IBTS issued the highest number of blood donation units to Irish hospitals in over a decade, at just under 128,500 units.

“This exceptionally high demand has continued unabated into 2025.”

New donors, younger donors and donors of all ethnicities have all be urged to come forward and donate blood in the coming days.

McKinney said: “We are asking people who might never have given blood before, or it’s been a while, to make it their goal to give blood, and the priceless gift of life, to those in our communities and hospitals who need it.”

The service has urged the public to give blood at the 12 clinics open across Ireland this week.

Giveblood.ie said online: “Following the impact of Storm Eowyn, IBTS has issued an urgent appeal for blood donations with supplies very low.

“We need this week’s clinics to be filled to avoid an impact on our hospitals!”

The clinics listed below will be running between January 27 and February 2:

  • Ballyjamesduff, Co Cavan
  • Bantry, Co Cork
  • Duleek, Co Meath
  • Kilrush, Co Clare
  • Kingscourt, Co Cavan
  • Listowel, Co Kerry
  • Malahide, Co Dublin
  • Portlaoise, Co Laois
  • Rathkeale, Co Limerick
  • Skibbereen, Co Cork
  • Swords, Co Dublin
  • Westport, Co Mayo

Stillorgan, Dublin; D’Olier Street, Dublin; and St Finbarr’s, Cork will continue to see weekly clinics operating.

The IBTS added: “IBTS has issued an urgent appeal, in the wake of Storm Eowyn, for blood donations, with supplies very low.

“Between the severe weather, high demand, and illness in our communities, we need over 12,000 donations in the coming days and weeks, including pre bank holiday.

“Be a life saver and give blood at one of our blood donation clinics this week.

“Existing donors can book an appointment online and all possible donors can call 1800 731 137 to find available appointments.”

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW BEFORE DONATING?

HERE'S everything you need to know about giving blood:

  • Check your likely eligibility by taking the short new donor eligibility quiz
  • There is also a lot more information about eligibility in the FAQ section on the IBTS wesbite, or you can call 1800 731 137 if you want to talk to someone and ask further questions
  • If eligible now (or in the future after any advised waiting period) an appointment will be arranged to give blood or a sample
  • If for your first donation, you are only able to give a sample (as is often the case), you only need to wait 42 days to be able to give full donations – and then every 90 days between donations!
  • If for any reason you are unable to give blood, please encourage your friends and family to become blood donors

Those interested in donating blood have been urged to check their eligibility before attending a clinic.

The IBTS has confirmed that Ireland needs more donors from all backgrounds to meet the needs of “all our patients” in hospitals.

It said: “Increasingly more people of diverse backgrounds are now eligible to give blood in Ireland including many of whom were previously unable, including donors of African heritage.

“The recent introduction of malarial testing for blood donation samples means we can now take blood from a far more diverse range of donors than previously.

“Many potential donors who were not eligible previously, including people born or who resided in a malarial area for a longer period of time, may now be able to give blood, subject to other normal criteria.”

Irish captain Brian O’Driscoll placed fourth on the list, with his fearlessness securing his legacy as one of the most exciting players in Six Nations history.

While English rugby fans also championed Martin Johnson, whose ball carrying skills and physical resilience made him a modern icon, landing him in fifth place.

The poll of 2,000 rugby fans also revealed generational divides in player preferences, with older fans opting for legends from the ‘Five Nations’ era, such as Wales’ Edwards.

A spokesperson for Lottoland.co.uk, which commissioned the research alongside its Sportsbook team, said: “We’ve been lucky enough to have seen some incredible players down the years.

“As the Five Nations changed to Six, some things haven’t changed at all when it comes to making yourself a hero of the game.

“It’s not even all about winning, it’s about the way they made fans feel, and their contributions to exciting matches.”

The study also found some players Brits believe have been overrated in the Nations tournaments, with Jeremy Guscott topping the list.

But teamwork and the ability to elevate teammates were the attributes players most needed to be in the ‘GOAT’ conversation (36 per cent).
