Love Island fans think they’ve worked out the ‘real reason’ for Ekin Su’s dramatic villa breakdown over Curtis PritchardErotemeDanielle’s entry into the villa has thrown a spanner in the worksErotemeinstagram/@elmapazarElma was voted most popular girl[/caption]
It follows two nights of tears from the star, who struggled to see Curtis chatting to bombshell Danielle.
But fans have speculated that Ekin’s outburst could be down to wanting “more attention” and “screen time.”
They’ve said this is because she wasn’t voted as most popular girl in the villa this week, after it went to Elma Pazar.
On X, one person wrote: “Since it was announced that elma was the favourite girl, Ekin has tried to steal the spotlight.”
Another person added: “Ekin 100% only started acting crazy after seeing that Elma got voted favourite girl. All makes sense now.”
Someone else echoed: “Ekin is a massive gameplayer. She knows she’s not the favourite girl and so she’s trying to twist it so it looks like Curtis done her over so she’ll win over the public’s sympathy.”
When Maya Jama interrupted the contestants at a pool party earlier this week, she said Elma was the most popular girl, and Luca Bish was the most popular boy.
Meanwhile, Ekin and Curtis were embroiled in a big row this week as Curtis told her: “I’m not going to say anything about this, Ekin. But we’re going to have a full conversation tomorrow.”
Clearly upset, the Turkish actress replied: “I know what you’re going to say.
“You’re going to say ‘Ekin, I’ve really enjoyed spending time with you, but this is all too much for me. I’m really happy getting to know Danielle, goodbye’.
“That’s what you’re thinking.”
But a fired up Curtis told Ekin that he had doubts over how genuine she has been.
He said: “I don’t believe you’ve been 100 per cent your authentic self, if you want the honest truth.”
A furious Ekin replied: “I don’t believe that you can see that I’m a changed person.”
Curtis hit back: “I don’t know you beforehand,” which prompted Ekin to say: “You’ve been very judgemental.”
The dancer repeated: “I don’t know you beforehand, so I can’t say if you’ve changed.”
Ekin shouted: “That’s not fair for you to come at me and start criticising me for what you’ve seen on f****** TV.”
He pleaded: “I’m not,” before putting the final nail in the coffin, saying “I’ve never watched you on TV, Ekin, I don’t know who you are.”
Ekin then slammed him for “trying to make her look crazy”.
He told her: “I said, I don’t believe you’re being 100 per cent authentic.”
A furious Ekin responded: “Well f*** you if you don’t think I’ve been authentic, that’s an insult in everything I’ve been in here with you, everything.”
Ekin then apologised as Curtis told her that they’ll continue the conversation tomorrow.

THIS is the shocking moment masked yobs in 4x4s churn up fields after a town was terrorised by a group who ripped up gardens and set vehicles on fire.
Cars ploughed through pastures on the outskirts of Manea, Cambridgeshire, in the video filmed by one vehicle’s passenger.
BAV MediaShocking footage showed a number of 4x4s ploughing through fields near Manea, Cambridgeshire[/caption]
BAV MediaThe vehicles were seen racing through the farmland, kicking up dirt and leaving numerous tyre tracks[/caption]
BAV MediaThe video ends with the group of yobs meeting up with more muddied vehicles[/caption]
Footage shows the convoy of countless muddied vehicles racing through the fields while shouting to each other through open windows.
Expensive Mercedes SUVs, Jeeps, and Nissans were among the 4x4s that were shown churning up crops and damaging the fields.
One passenger can be seen raising his arm out of one of the racing motors as the deafening sound of air rushing past the car is picked up on the recording.
Around halfway through the clip when the drivers can be seen making a large turn onto a local road, the extent of damage to the fields becomes clear.
Tyre tracks can be seen overlapping each other on the farmland, with mud strewn across both the grassy banks of the roadside and the vehicles themselves.
The balaclava wearing group kept their identities hidden as they raced away, causing mayhem in the peaceful countryside around 20 miles north of Cambridge.
After seemingly competing with each other to get in front, the group of yobs met up with almost a dozen more dirtied vehicles at the end of the video.
Engines revving, the motors then begin to travel together as a group as the footage cuts off.
It comes after “travellers” were accused of terrorising a town just five miles away from Manea by ripping up gardens, setting cars on fire and raiding shops.
Around 300 people attended a public meeting on Monday night to complain over police inaction after they were left “terrified” by a weekend of “shocking” criminal activity, which also saw the group of men allegedly threaten firefighters.
A convoy of up to 30 cars carrying dozens of men, one with a pick axe handle, are said to have tore around in the Cambridgeshire Fens on Saturday.
They allegedly ripped up farmers’ fields, ruining crops, sped through villages and intimidated the locals, who have been left “traumatised”.
The men also damaged fire engines and attacked fire crew, who were taking part in a training exercise in Chatteris – with Cambridgeshire Police “ignoring” all 999 calls.
Farmers and residents gave harrowing stories at the meeting at Manea British Legion Club, which was called by MP Steve Barclay and Manea councillor Charlie Marks.
It was attended by Cambridgeshire’s Chief Constable Nick Dean, who heard from dozens of residents, who said they had been left unprotected despite making 999 calls for help.
‘SOMEBODY’S GOT TO CONFRONT THESE PEOPLE’
One resident told police they needed to improve their response in the future, warning: “You get this wrong and you will have another Tony Martin on your hands.”
Martin was a farmer from Norfolk, England, who shot a burglar dead in his home in August 1999.
Farmer Matthew Latter, from Sutton Gault, Chatteris, said he was forced to barricade himself and his young family in their home after more than 70 masked men smashed their way through gates, and moved concrete blocks to access his land.
He said they suffered three-and-a-half hours of mayhem on the land around their home as he made numerous calls to police.
He added: “We had at least 70 people literally take over our farm from 1.30pm to 4pm. There were 13 4x4s.
“I called the police three times, I gave the What3Words coordinates of exactly where they were but we didn’t have any response – absolutely zero.
“My seven-year-old daughter was crying and was utterly terrified.”

Another woman said she called 999 as the petrol station at Witcham Toll was being robbed, but was told to call back on 101 as it was not an emergency.
Leo Butler, from Chatteris, said he had never seen anything like it and added: “What I would like to know is where were the police – there were no helicopters, no police cars, not one police officer – nothing.
“If the police aren’t going to confront these people somebody’s got to.”
Robert Sears, a former Conservative councillor, added “I haven’t seen lawlessness like this anywhere in the world” after he was confronted by 25 muddy 4x4s driving towards him.
Councillor Marks, who witnessed some of the criminality in Manea, said it was pure luck that no one had been killed or seriously injured.
“We could have been mourning a member of our village today,” he said.
The lawless activity began in Wimblington, then the cars zoomed around the Fens, with vehicles mounting pavements and speeding at more than twice the limit in 30mph zones.
Chief Constable Dean told the meeting he had gone with his “gut feeling” over the allocation of extra resources and commented that he “perhaps got it wrong in hindsight”.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information, dashcam footage or CCTV following a number of incidents of hare coursing, yesterday causing thousands of pounds’ worth of damage to crops as well as putting lives at risk with dangerous driving.
“Up to 25 vehicles were seen, some in convoy, in various parts of the county, these included Fordham, Ely, Prickwillow, Littleport, Welney, Chatteris, Manea, Wimblington and Doddington.
“We understand the impact this has had on the community and we are investigating.”

7 days agoLatest NewsComments Off on Huge Noughties Indie group announce massive new album 19 years after breakout record
KOOKS frontman Luke Pritchard knows how to write a banger, with You Don’t Love Me, Ooh La and Naive from their 2006 debut album becoming some of the biggest songs of the Noughties.
Today, the indie group are back with new single Never Know, from their seventh album Never/Know, out on May 9.
SuppliedLuke Pritchard and bandmate Hugh Harris can’t wait to get on tour again[/caption]
SuppliedThe Sun’s Ellie Henman with Luke[/caption]
The 11-track record is a return to form, with the poetic romanticism of Sunny Babe and the rockier Compass Will Fracture and Tough At The Top so good I put them on repeat.
A cover of Wings’s Arrow Through Me is also masterful.
“It’s the best record we’ve done for ages,” Luke tells me as we meet at The Groucho Club in central London.
“I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Tough At The Top has a heavy Polics influence — they’re one of my favourite bands.
“Chinatown’s a bit like a later Sting. Compass Will Fracture is garage rock — I wanted to recapture the moment I first heard The White Stripes.”
He adds: “With us, it’s like how cheesy things come cool. It’s like when Rihanna’s Anti album came out, it was so influential and had that big cheesy Santana sample on it. It became cool again.
“We had a moment of people thinking we’re kind of cheesy but then the fashion comes back around again.”
Last night Luke and his bandmates Hugh Harris and Alexis Nunez put on an indie club night at Notting Hill Arts Club to celebrate Never/Know.
They will be announcing their upcoming tour in the UK and US later this year, and Luke adds: “Not to toot our own trumpet but we sold out our last US tour and we hadn’t played America for four years.
“Social media has made us global now. Naive was the 66th most played song on Spotify last month. They’ve upped the size of the shows for the next US tour. It’s crazy.”
Album tracks Echo Chamber and Let You Go are indie heartbreak classics and I tell Luke I can imagine Gen Z teens making them anthems for their break-ups.
“I’ve always been more emotional and that was what set us apart,” Luke explains as he opens up about coming up alongside bands such as Kasabian and Arctic Monkeys in the Noughties.
Looking across at him it’s clear Luke has found his happy place with his wife Ellie and their gorgeous sons Julian and Wesley.
His Instagram features Reels of them dancing, and a laughing Luke adds: “Julian loves female power pop — his favourite song is Coconuts by Kim Petras.
“Wesley loves Bhangra. I play guitar to them a lot, they love Sunny Baby. Julian sings along and if he hears it he’ll say, ‘Daddy’s song’.”
With us, it’s like how cheesy things come cool
Luke Pritchard
Touring this time around is going to be a far different affair for Luke, who has previously hit the road with Noel and Liam Gallagher and Sir Mick Jagger.
“Charlie Watts [the late Rolling Stones drummer] told me a story about this fight when I was on tour with them,” Luke says.
“One of the girlfriends was getting into it and Charlie was about to have a fight, turned around and all the other Stones had run off.
“And Mick burst into our dressing room when we were naked.”
Of Liam, Luke adds: “I first played with him at five shows in Australia and he was in the best form.
“I hadn’t seen him for ten years and I was like, ‘He’s a rock star’. He had this swagger.”
With the full Glastonbury line-up yet to be announced, I wonder if The Kooks will be adding a slot to their string of shows this year.
Coyly, Luke replies: “We’re always talking about it. It’s always shrouded in mystery. You never know, there’s always a possibility.”

VUELING has introduced new flights from the UK to two Spanish destinations in time for summer.
The cost-friendly airline has revealed it has launched daily direct flights from London Heathrow to both Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela.
GettyVueling will fly 26 times a week from London Heathrow to Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela[/caption]
GettyThe colourful city of Bilbao is surrounded by green mountains and rivers[/caption]
Vueling already flies to these locations to and from London Gatwick with 21 weekly flights to Bilbao and 5 weekly flights to Santiago de Compostela.
But tickets for the new route are already on sale and the first Vueling flights from London Heathrow will take off at the end of March.
They will provide 26 weekly flights over the summer season.
Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela are the perfect place for your next break too.
Bilbao is a northern city in Spain surrounded by green mountains and is famous for its architecture.
The city is even small enough to walk from one end to the other within 30 minutes.
The Guggenheim Museum is a big hit for tourists and you can visit for €30 (£25.14).
The 260,000sqft museum is home to the famous ‘Puppy’ instillation by Jeff Koon, which sits outside 40ft-tall sculpture is covered with more than 38,000 flowers.
Another great sight is the Basque Country, which has beaches popular with surfers.
There are also lots of stunning coastal villages to explore like Biscay and Labraza that have cobbled streets and a medieval history.
GettyBilbao has become well-known with for their pintxos, which is their regional tapas[/caption]
If you want to explore the coast, head to Juan de Gaztelugatxe, famous from the TV series, Game of Thrones.
For any foodies planning a trip, Bilbao has become well-known with for their pintxos (Bilbao’s tapas), txuletas (sirloin steak) and kokotxas (fish stew), which are all worth tasting.
Santiago de Compostela is the capital of northwest Spain’s Galicia region and is know for its magnificent cathedral and Old Town.
The city has an interesting history too as its part of the St James pilgrimage.
The paths lead to the shrine of the apostle James in the cathedral, so there are plenty of walking routes around with scenic countryside views.
In the city centre you’ll find lots of food markets, like Mercado de Abastos, where you can try fresh seafood, tapas, regional wines and the city’s famous Santiago cake.
It’s also the region where they make their own Galician cider with nothing but apples and yeast.
Vueling allows passengers to pick which seats they want before they jet off, and they offer a couple of options at different costs....
For extra legroom pick the very front of the plane, row 1, has the best of the legroom – but it’s also the priciest. There’s also more space on rows at the exit around the middle of the plane.
For getting served food first, cabin crew will come from both the front and the back with the trolley of treats, so the first few rows and the ones at the back will be seen to first.
According to SeatGuru, the worst seats for Vueling flights are on the back row. That’s because not only can the seats not recline, but they are also close to the toilets and the crew area so it’ll probably be quite noisy.

Last week, the pair even suggested that they were “closed off”.
But in last night’s episode, amid the fall out from new girl Danielle Sellers taking Curtis to the Hideaway, Ekin and Curtis endured “the weirdest moment” in the show’s history.
The pair were seen arguing before having a deep conversation and then making up, with their feud ending with a smooch.
After the pair kissed, fellow islander Casey Gorman branded it as the it weirdest moment.
And viewers watching at home had similar thoughts, too.
One person on X said: “Everyone in that villa and at home after watching that weird pantomime performance from Curtis & Ekin.”
Another added: “Sorry but how can Ekin and Curtis argue and in about 10 minutes they kiss ? Weird night in the villa.”
“What am I watching here? An argument into a therapy session about Curtis’ mum into ekin forcing herself on him?? F***ing weird behaviour this,” penned a third.
While a fourth said: “Yeah Curtis and Ekin are both weird.”
“Ekin and Curtis match each other freak so much such weird individuals,” said a fifth.
Meanwhile someone else recently said that all Curtis wants is a showmance.
“What the hell do any on these girls see in Curtis? He comes across so fake saying anything he thinks someone wants to hear. He wants to settle down but comes across like all he really wants is a showmance with Ekin-Su and as much TV time as poss,” the fan penned on X.
This comes after Curtis and Ekin had a conversation following the moment that she broke down in tears after he was chatting to Danielle.
Curtis told Ekin: “I’m not going to say anything about this, Ekin. But we’re going to have a full conversation tomorrow.”

“I want it to be real and I want you to be 100 per cent real, and you’re saying you are,” he said.
Ekin insisted she was being herself, saying: “I don’t know whether to jump hoops for you, I can if you want.”
The pair suddenly made up when Curtis opened up about having previously “cut his mum out of his life”.
After the admission, Ekin gave Curtis a kiss.
Casey joked: “What a random weird 10 minutes that was, the whole situation was just weird.”
