Are We There Yet? was a family classic which featured rapper Ice Cube and Nia Long becoming a staple film in many childhoods.

Aleisha Allen played the character of Lindsey Kingston alongside her onscreen brother Kevin played by Phillip Bolden.

20 years later Aleisha looks as though she’s barely aged a day even though she’s ditched the braces.

Aleisha wore Lindsey’s iconic polka dot hat and even sporting the exact same backpack she wore in the film.

“As of TODAY, y’all have known this girl, “Lindsey”, for 20 YEARS!!!! “Are We There Yet?” premiered on January 21, 2005. So crazy!!! (How could that be, when I’m only 21?!)”

“Wow. “Lindsey” is dynamic, sharp, fearless, protective, funny, and steadfast. She’s the kind of character that has longevity, had a solid arc of character development for a preteen, and I am honored she was mine to play, in both films.

“Here’s a fun little recreation of “Lindsey” 20 years later (it was really trippy putting on this costume again lol)- with the SAME BACKPACK and MARKER! Lots of fond memories from this project.

“Thank you SO much for watching for all these, many, years and for sharing in the joys of this nostalgia with me. (Y’all getting old)”

Fans took to the comments in disbelief over the stars pic, one user said: “Not you looking the EXACT same!! I love it!”

“You haven’t aged a bit still beautiful (heart eyes emoji),” added another.

“You look JUST the same, Queen!” chimed a third.

Aleisha’s on-screen brother Phillip even commented with two grandma and grandpa emoji’s.

The story follows Nick Persons (Ice Cube), a bachelor who develops a romantic interest in Suzanne Kingston (Nia Long), a divorced mother of two kids.

Suzanne’s children are fiercely protective of their mother and do everything they can to sabotage her relationships.

The hit film which was released in 2005 and received so much success that a 2007 sequel Are We Done Yet?

The movie even bagged itself a television spin off series, which ran from June 2010 to March 2013.

Doctor whose research was used to convict Lucy Letby claims his work was ‘misrepresented’ during her court case

A NEONATAL doctor whose research was used to convict Lucy Letby is expected to intervene in the case after claiming his work was misrepresented in court.

Former nurse Letby, 35, is serving 15 whole-life sentences for the murders of seven babies and the attempted murders of seven others in her care at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Letby was convicted at Manchester Crown Court after a four-week retrial[/caption]

During her trial, an academic paper by Dr Shoo Lee, one of Canada’s top neonatologists, was used to support the theory that she killed some of the infants by injecting them with air.

Prosecution expert witness Dr Dewi Evans cited the 1989 study which said skin discolourations occur when there are air bubbles in blood vessels.

Evans went on to claim this was seen in several of the babies that Letby was found guilty of harming between 2015 and 2016.

Recently-retired Dr Lee, 67, now says he “wasn’t happy” with how his research was presented to the jury at Manchester Crown Court.

He has flown to the UK where he is set to unveil details of an independent review of the case by a “blue ribbon committee” of 14 international medical experts at a press conference on Tuesday.

It is expected that he will say that none of the babies should have been diagnosed with air embolism.

He may suggest the “very rare” condition has “specific” signs which were not observed.

It is understood that for a “large number” of cases, the panel of experts have recorded a different cause of death than the sick methods the nurse was accused of using to hurt the tragic tots.

Dr Lee told The Sunday Times: “The evidence that was used to convict her, in my opinion, wasn’t quite right…What I can say is that we looked at the cases in great detail and we came to very definite conclusions about what happened in every case.”

At Letby’s appeal hearing in April, Dr Lee insisted that none of the descriptions of the babies’ skin blemishes given by witnesses matched those he had noted in his research.

But the judges ruled his evidence was inadmissible – pointing out that the defence could have called him to testify at the original trial.

It comes as previously undisclosed police notes, obtained by the Unherd news website, suggest the jury were not informed that Letby was absent for ten of the 28 suspicious incidents involving babies at the Countess of Chester hospital.

They were instead told that she was “the one common denominator” in all unexpected deaths or collapses.

Unherd likened the case to the Birmingham Six – the men locked up for 16 years after being wrongly convicted of killing 21 people by bombing pubs in 1974, according to the Mail on Sunday.

Letby, from Hereford, has been denied permission to appeal her convictions.

Former Cabinet Minister David Davis is leading calls for a retrial, branding the case a “clear miscarriage of justice”.

It comes after a public inquiry hearing how speculation over Letby caused “enormous additional distress” to the parents of her victims.

Timeline of horror - how Letby targeted babies

Lucy Letby carried out her horrific crimes in a year-long period at Countess of Chester Hospital.

She used insulin and air to inject newborns while working on the neo-natal ward.

The collapses and deaths of the children were not “naturally-occurring tragedies” and instead the gruesome work of “poisoner” Letby.

Her rampage was finally uncovered after staff grew suspicious of the “significant rise” in the number of babies dying or suffering “catastrophic” collapses.

Letby was found to be the “common denominator” among the horrifying incidents.

Officers then searched her three-bedroom home in Chester and discovered a chilling cache of evidence.

The nurse had scribbled haunting notes in diaries and on Post-It notes, including one that read: “I am evil I did this.”

The note added: “I don’t deserve to live. I killed them on purpose because I’m not good enough to care for them.

“I am a horrible person.”

A probe into whether Letby harmed any other babies at the Countess of Chester Hospital and Liverpool Women’s Hospital is ongoing.

A corporate manslaughter investigation is also ongoing.

Ireland skipper Caelan Doris hails ‘loved’ Leinster team-mate after return from injury during Six Nations win vs England

IRELAND skipper Caelan Doris paid tribute to his Leinster and Ireland teammate Dan Sheehan after Ireland’s Six Nations win against England.

The Leinster hooker scored the fourth try as Simon Easterby’s men came from behind to beat their neighbours 27-22 in their opener fixture of the 2025 tournament.

Sheehan came on off the bench for his first appearance since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament just seven months ago in Ireland’s drawn test series against South Africa.

The Leinster hooker wore a black knee brace as he made his return in the green jersey.

And his club teammate hailed the number two as an inspiration for his desire to return from the devastating injury before saying that he was a loved and very highly respected person in the dressing room.

Speaking after the game, the number 8 said: “It’s a testament to him. He’s so well liked and loved within the squad because of the quality of the man that he is. He’s worked incredibly hard.

“He was off doing boxing and other things for his footwork, he was rehabbing in the wee hours of the morning and then coming back in later in the day to do double sessions.

“I think through all the tests he does, he’s in the best shape of his life. He’s back running top speeds he hasn’t run in a while. He’s unbelievably strong, everything.

“But more than anything his mentality because when you’re not playing for such an extended period of time it’s so difficult to come back and hit your straps and just perform straight off the bat.

“To go out and perform like he never left is just incredible and I don’t think there are many athletes in any sport that could just do that.

“So, I think he’s a bit of an outlier in that.

“He’s left no stone unturned, he’s been unbelievably diligent.”

Elsewhere, interim Ireland boss Simon Easterby insisted that Ireland needed to be better next week against Scotland after their “arm wrestle” with England.

Two late England tries made the game close after Ireland dominated the second half to earn a bonus point with four tries having trailed 10-5 at half time.

And Easterby was delighted with the win, but believes the team need to be better in round two next Sunday in Murrayfield.

He said: “It was tough and physical and what you expect from an Ireland-England game.

“The first half, it was the first round of the Six Nations…it’s always going to be a bit of an arm wrestle so we had to find a way.

“I thought we played well in the first half, we didn’t quite get our accuracy right which is why they were leading.

“But we cleaned it up in the second half.

“The guys coming off the bench benefited from the work done by the guys who started, it was a tough attritional game.

“We know we need to be better next weekend. It sets us up for next week but it will be incredibly tough.”
