THE dad of a baby who died in a hot car screamed “I killed my daughter” after finding the tot in the back of the car.
Olivia Ancelet, 1, was found unresponsive in the car in Sydney, Australia, in the early evening on Tuesday – and her heartbroken parents have spoken out.
The tot’s father Etienne Ancelet had turned up at the Jelly Beings Early Learning Centre to collect his daughter – only to be told he had never dropped her off, according to 7News.
He ran outside to discover his baby was still strapped in her seat in the car.
Paramedics scrambled to reach Olivia, but she tragically died at the scene.
Upon arrival, emergency services found Olivia unconscious and dad Ancelet screaming in extreme distress.
Roy Gomes, who lives near the kids centre, said he found out about the tragic incident after hearing Olivia’s father’s harrowing cries.
He ran to the scene and was one of the first responders who gave the tot CPR before paramedics arrived.
Gomes said: “It all happened so quick; he was screaming, the poor guy, he kept screaming ‘I killed my daughter’.
“I didn’t sleep much last night – I can see the little baby’s face all night.
“She was just floppy, no life.
“It’s really shattering.”
In footage captured at the horrific scene, Ancelet could be heard repeatedly screaming “kill me, kill me” and “f*** I can’t process this” as he sat in the back of the ambulance.
Dad Ancelet and his partner Kim Visconti said their daughter was a “sweet and beautiful baby,” adding that she was the light of their lives.

DANCING on Ice star Chris Taylor has revealed he was involved in a car crash after his first live performance on the show.
The former Love Island star shared details of the hairy accident, explaining how it happened when he was trying to avoid a pile up on the road.

Chris has revealed he was in a car crash after filming the first episode[/caption]
Chris rose to fame on Love Island and appeared in the Barbie movie[/caption]
The Dancing On Ice star told the Mirror: “The day after the first Dancing On Ice show, I had a car accident.
“There were already a few cars on the side of the road who had pranged each other and they were in a bit of a kerfuffle, and I thought, I’m just gonna get out of your way. But I forgot to look, and a guy came in on the right-hand side.”
Despite the initial shock, the crash took an unexpected turn when Chris realised the other driver recognised him.
He added: “The guy got out and said, ‘You’re Chris,’ and it ended up being a really nice conversation. He even told me, ‘You skated really well yesterday.’”
Rather than going through insurance, the pair decided to settle the matter privately.
“We just sorted it out between us, and I backhanded him some cash to save going through the insurance,” Chris admitted.
“Not actually sure if I should say that or not! Is it allowed?!”
Thankfully no one was injured, and Chris is now focusing on his next performance on Dancing On Ice.
But the latest series of Dancing on Ice has been plagued with injuries already.
Chris had another set back when his Dancing On Ice partner Vanessa Bauer was forced to pull out of the competition.
Vanessa took to her Instagram on Sunday to announce the sad news that she would be withdrawing from this year’s series after sustaining an injury before last Sunday’s live show.
The news came just hours before tonight’s live show is due to go ahead, and many Dancing on Ice fans will have been left wondering what that meant for Vanessa’s celeb partner, Love Island’s Chris Taylor.
Vanessa revealed in her video message that she had been training with Chris all week and skating through the pain she felt, not realising the seriousness of her injury.
It wasn’t until she went for an MRI that she learned she had “a completely torn ligament, grade three sprain injury and a major grade two sprain injury.”
She explained: “My pain threshold, I don’t trust it, I have been skating this whole week with a lot of pain but I just didn’t realise that it was such a significant injury so I didn’t voice my pain.
“I don’t want this injury that is already bad to get even worse and so the one sensible decision is to step away, do rehab, focus on my health – I guess mental health as well – because it’s really bad that I have to leave.”
But ITV confirmed to The Sun Online that Chris, 34, will remain in the competition with a new pro partner.
He has been paired up with Robin Johnstone and the duo will still skate in tonight’s live show.
Chris paid tribute to Vanessa on his Instagram Stories following her announcement.
He told fans: “She is hands down the most committed, determined and inspirational woman I have ever met.”
“She gives everything 2000% and it’s been an honour to be taught by her.
“Very, very sad we don’t get to finish this together, but you’ve got an annoying brother for life now.”

A campaign to put a stop to a social housing development in Bayonet Head is gaining traction as neighbours worry about safety implications, saying they were “tricked’ into buying under false guarantees.
And Guardiola was left “disappointed” by the way the 34-year-old went about it, according to The Athletic.
The City boss felt as though he had a close relationship with the defender, who should have gone to him first amid the team’s struggles this season.
In total, Walker only started nine of City’s 23Premier League matches this term, as 20-year-old Rico Lewis began creeping above him in the pecking order.
Midfielder Matheus Nunes was also used at right-back in certain games and Walker felt that he could no longer cut it at City.
Walker has aspirations to get back in theEnglandsetup under Thomas Tuchel and therefore is keen to still play at the highest level.

The right-back’s glittering seven-and-a-half year spell at Man City has ended – for now at least.
Milan have the option to permanently sign him for less than £5m in the summer.
Walker came close to leaving after City’s Treble win in 2023 when Bayern Munich wanted to sign him.
He has lifted six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four Carabao Cups, the Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup a the club.
In his absence, Ruben Dias has been promoted to second captain, behind Kevin De Bruyne.
Guardiolagave a frosty answer when asked on Friday if Walker would be missed, saying only that his captain “decided to leave”.
Meanwhile City hit the panic button and spent £182million on five players to try and rescue their season.
It was the second-highest spent in a winter window from a Prem club, with Chelsea‘s record still standing at £275million in 2023.
City brought in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush in a £59m transfer, followed by Palmeiras‘ Vitor Reis for £29.6m and Lens’ Abdukodir Khusanov for £33.6m.
Before Monday’s deadline, they secured the arrival of FC Porto‘s Nico Gonzalez by splashing out £50m, while Juma Bah was immediately loaned out to Lens.
