Fans convinced they know what Erling Haaland said to Gabriel as footage of Man City star taunting Arsenal rival emerges
FANS are convinced they know what Erling Haaland said to Gabriel while the Manchester City star was relentlessly taunted by Arsenal.
The Gunners spent the entire 90 minutes winding up the striker during yesterday’s 5-1 win.
Haaland is hated by Arsenal after his “stay humble” dig ignited a feud at the end of their last meeting.
Mikel Arteta’s side got their own back by continuously trying to get under his skin, with main perpetrator Gabriel, Myles Lewis-Skelly and even the stadium DJ all part of the goading onslaught.
Despite constantly being a target, Haaland did not react besides one moment in the second-half.
The Norwegian exchanged words with Gabriel and then flexed the gold Premier League badge on the sleeve of the champions’ shirt.
Lip-reading fans are certain Haaland said: “You’d love this, eh?”
City will not make it five titles in a row as they are now a huge 15 points off the top of the table.
But Arsenal’s 20-year wait for glory may also go on if they cannot overturn a six-point deficit on Liverpool.
But getting one over on Haaland was something to celebrate in itself, with the daggers drawn before yesterday’s game even begun when Gabriel said: “It’s a battle, a war”.

When Martin Odegaard opened the scoring the Arsenal centre-back shouted in Haaland’s face to celebrate.
Myles Lewis-Skelly later scored to make it 3-1 and he brutally copied the City star’s trademark goal celebration.
Gabriel, who was in Haaland’s ear all game, then grabbed his shorts as he sat on the ground after a foul.
Arsenal’s DJ blasted out the song “Humble” by Kendrick Lamar at full-time.
Meanwhile, Gunners fans chanted: “Erling Haaland, stay humble you c***.”
At the end of the game, the unmoved goal machine walked over to applaud the City fans, again pointing to the golden Prem badge and his mind.
Arteta has encouraged his players to stop their antics, saying: “Leave anything that happened that’s part of the game on the pitch.
“I have been in football a long time. Just leave it. There is nothing there to do.”
But it did not stop Lewis-Skelly posting a picture of his Haaland-like celebration with the words: “Keep it humble.”
His dad Alfie responded to a picture of the Arsenal teenager, writing: “This team that wins everything. Ehhhhh, not.”

Didn’t have much to do in the first half but won all his aerial battles in the first 45 minutes. Marshalled the defence well early in the second period but was embarrassingly outjumped and outmuscled by Haaland for City’s equaliser – a major flaw of his that continues to be exposed.
Gabriel Magalhaes – 6
Like his defensive partner, he was seldom called into action in the first half. Dominant in the air in his battles with Haaland, who he trolled after Odegaard’s goal.
Myles Lewis-Skelly – 8
Continues to endear himself to the Emirates faithful with composure and tenacity beyond his years as he brilliantly floated between left back and midfield. Put real daylight between the two sides with a thumping finish just after the hour mark. This young lad is a real bright prospect for both the Gunners and England.
His trolling of Haaland by copying the Norwegian’s ‘Lotus’ celebration went down a storm with fans.
Thomas Partey – 7
Steady in the heart of midfield and broke up play well when required. Fired the Gunners back into the lead in the 57th minute with a deflected shot from outside the box.
Martin Odegaard – 7
Was in the right place at the right time to benefit from the aftermath of an uncharacteristic Manuel Akanji error and break the deadlock. Was at the heart of everything good the north Londoners did going forward.
Declan Rice – 6
Combative, as always, in the middle of the park and played a role in the home side taking the lead, teeing up Havertz who squared the ball to Odegaard.
Leandro Trossard – 6
Was particularly lively on the left in the first half, giving Matheus Nunes a real run for his money. His end product, however, wasn’t the best.
Gabriel Martinelli – 6
Lively on the right wing in the early goings. Found the back of the net in the fifth minute after some beautiful play from Odegaard but was needlessly offside. Forced a good save out of Ortega with a rasping effort in the 68th minute.
Kai Havertz – 6
Lively early doors, testing Stefan Ortega with a tame shot in the first minute. Teed up Odegaard for a tap in a few moments later. Missed a golden opportunity to double the lead in the 25th minute, dragging the ball wide with the goal at his absolute mercy. Made amends for his howler by finishing an even harder chance in the 76th minute. He well and truly needed that as he looked absolutely devoid of confidence.

Nottingham Forest terminate forgotten England star’s contract as he returns to parent club
NOTTINGHAM FOREST have terminated James Ward-Prowse’s loan at the City Ground.
The former England midfielder, 30, is now set to return to parent club West Ham.
Ward-Prowse had signed for Forest on a season-long loan deal last August.
But a lack of game time of late has seen him go back to the London Stadium.
The 11-cap ace has not featured at all in Forest’s last four Premier League games.

FOR most people, cheating is the worst thing they could ever imagine their partner doing.
However, one man’s reality went from bad to worse when he discovered who his girlfriend had cheated with.
In a Reddit post, the unnamed user offered some background on his family before detailing his partner’s betrayal.
“I was a young dad, me and my now late wife had my son before we were even 17,” he explained.
He shared how “tough” he has found life as a single dad since his wife passed away at just 22.
“I think up until this I did my best,” the original poster told his fellow Reddit users.
He explained that he previously didn’t have time to pursue romantic relationships.
“I threw myself into being a dad and concentrating on my business,” he said.
He explained that there was “never anyone serious enough to introduce my son to.”
However, three years ago he met his girlfriend and was soon “head over heels.”
“The first six months or so were more casual but when we realised we loved each other, we made it official,” the Redditor recalled.
He revealed that he had intended to take the next step before she admitted to the shocking affair.
“I was even planning to ask her to marry me next month on her 26th birthday,” he wrote.
The happy dad had hoped to ask his 17-year-old son to be his best man on the big day.
Despite their seemingly happy situation, the poster recalled his initial hesitance over introducing his new partner and son.
“I didn’t introduce them at first due to not being sure how he’d take it, so we waited a while,” he explained.
“But after they met last year, we’ve all hung out and everything was all good.”

They start to take their phone everywhere with them
In close relationships, it’s normal to know each other’s passwords and use each other’s phones, if their phone habits change then they may be hiding something.
Aaron says: “If your partner starts changing their passwords, starts taking their phone everywhere with them, even around the house or they become defensive when you ask to use their phone it could be a sign of them not being faithful.”
“You should also look at how they place their phone down when not in use. If they face the phone with the screen facing down, then they could be hiding something.”
They start telling you less about their day
When partners cheat they can start to avoid you, this could be down to them feeling guilty or because it makes it easier for them to lie to you.
“If you feel like your partner has suddenly begun to avoid you and they don’t want to do things with you any more or they stop telling you about their day then this is another red flag.”

Aaron says: “Cheaters often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but on occasions, they may also have more sex at home, this is because they feel guilty and use this increase in sex to hide their cheating. You may also find that your partner will start to introduce new things into your sex life that weren’t there before.”
They become negative towards you
Cheaters know that cheating is wrong and to them, it will feel good, this can cause tension and anxiety within themselves which they will need to justify.
“To get rid of the tension they feel inside they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and they will become critical of you out of nowhere. Maybe you haven’t walked the dog that day, put the dishes away or read a book to your children before bedtime. A small problem like this can now feel like a big deal and if you experience this your partner could be cheating,” warns Aaron.
Since then, the two had no interacted much as his son had left for university.
However, the Reddit user picked up on a strange shift in his girlfriend’s behaviour.
“I’ve noticed as the past couple of weeks have gone on, she’s been a bit quiet and moody,” he said.
“I’ve asked her and she put it down to being overwhelmed.”
The man also noticed his son had become a “bit withdrawn” but just assumed he was busy with college life.
However, when his girlfriend’s mood didn’t change, he eventually “called her out on it.”
“She broke down and admitted she cheated on me. Just like that,” he said.
His “shock” was magnified when she revealed who she had cheated with.
She revealed that she “was out with her mates” months previously and had “bumped into” her boyfriend’s in the pub.
The pair got drunk and ended up getting intimate in the back of a taxi at the end of the night.
The dad revealed: ” She was out with her mates and she bumped into my son in the pub.
“They got p*ssed, shared a taxi, and ended up drunken f**king.”
He revealed that he threw her out of his house at the revelation and told her he never wanted to see her again.
“I’ve packed up her stuff that she left here and left it in the front garden in a bin bag,” he revealed.
The Reddit user also confronted his son over the incident.
“He admitted it’s true, it’s a huge mistake, and is begging me to forgive him,” he shared.
“I’ve told him he needs to stay at someone’s house and don’t want to look at him anymore.”
The Reddit user said he was “absolutely distraught” at the shocking news.
“They’re the two people I loved most in the world. I wanted to marry her, maybe have kids, spend my life with her,” he wrote.
“He was more than my son, he was my best friend. I sacrificed so much for him, to give him an amazing life.
“They’ve both stabbed me in the back in the worst way. I don’t think I’ll ever forgive them ever again.
“They’re welcome to each other as far as I’m concerned. I feel so hurt.”
I thought I’d never be happy again after postnatal depression – it was the hardest thing to overcome, says Ashley James
ASHLEY James has opened up about suffering crippling postnatal depression that was the “hardest thing to overcome.”
The former Made In Chelsea star and dj, 37, shared a candid post on Instagram about times when her life felt it “was not going to plan” and how she learned to cope.
Before meeting advertising executive partner Tom Andrews, 32, with whom she shares little ones Ada and Alfie, Ashley says she “never wanted kids.”
And going through the process was extremely tough, she revealed.
The mum-of-two wrote: “Probably the best lesson I’ve learned recently, is that happiness isn’t about everything in your life going well, it’s about learning to ride the waves.
“I used to think that happiness was always about everything going well. But now I realise that it’s more about being able to cope when things don’t go well.
“Because sadly, all the motivation, hard work and positive thinking cannot stop life coming at us.”
She shared a series of examples of times in life where things hadn’t gone according to plan, including being cheated on by her first love, moving universities, being fired from her first job, and leaving Made in Chelsea after three months.
Ashley continued: “I remember all of these specific periods in life – and all the other ones that aren’t on this carousel – that made me feel like life was not going to plan.
“I remember all the breakups and feeling like I’d never ever be happy again! All the career set backs – honestly I could write a book about the rejections and things that almost happened.
“Probably the biggest and hardest thing to overcome was postnatal depression – if that’s what you want to call it.
“Feeling like I’d never be able to find the old me again and that it was ‘permanent’!
“Well I look at all these things now and I know that they’ve given me the strength to know that no matter what life has in store – because there will be tough things ahead for all of us – I can handle it.
“I hope this inspires anyone who needs it.”
Her post seems to have encouraged other women, with one fan commenting: “I love your honesty!”
Another added: “You’re my hero! You’re so incredibly inspiring and really showed those who tried to put you down what you’re capable of.”
Ashley previously admitted she “never wanted kids” and said: “It’s not like I ever envisioned my life as one day I’ll be a mum, I always wanted to be child-free.”
But when Ashley gave birth to her son, Alfie, during lockdown and spent the first six months “in total bliss”, she thought that change of heart would last.
It was only when the world began opening up again she realised how much her life had changed and longed for her old life back.
“All my reasons why I didn’t want to be a mum, I felt I was living that reality,” she said.
“Then you’d feel guilty for ever wanting to wish a child away because obviously you love them and want the best for them.”
Speaking on the Made by Mummas podcast, the presenter also explained how her birthing experience left her “traumatised”.
During her labour, despite wanting pain relief, Ashley said she was denied any.

“They kept not only brushing me off, but telling me ‘if you let us do this then we’ll give you pain relief.’
“So it was the physical checks that were honestly agony,” she explained.
“They basically pinned me down and forced me to do these checks and [the pain relief] never came.”
Because she gave birth during lockdown, Ashley claimed she also had to “beg” to have partner Tom in the hospital with her.
This meant the “positive mindset” she had before going into labour quickly faded.
“Because I’ve run a few London marathons, I know that I can kind of push my body past pain.
“But it was when I got there that things started to feel wrong – as I was in constant pain, 18 hours of pretty severe pain,” the former Made In Chelsea star told fans on Instagram.
Ashley James' rise to fame
DESPITE coming to public attention on the fourth series of Made In Chelsea in 2012 — the E4 show about privileged young Londoners — Ashley was living off her overdraft and putting on a posh accent.
She was raised in a “small town in the North East” by parents she describes as “very Geordie” and got her first taste of the showbiz industry when she did some work experience at Radio Cumbria aged 16.
Ashley appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2018 before becoming a DJ with gigs at top clubs such as London’s Ministry of Sound.
In recent years she has been best known as a “mum influencer”, although Ashley considers the term “derogatory” and says it has led to online abuse.
The trolling got so out of control that malicious followers reported her to social services for allegedly neglecting her children.
The false accusation, which was unfounded and promptly dismissed, was that she had drunk too much at a party.
Speaking on the Gentle Start podcast, Ashley said: “I was reported to social services for neglect, and it all came back to this online anonymous gossip website.
“It really upset me. Like I said to the social worker, I know how loved my children are and I know that I’m such a good mum.
“That’s one thing that I have never doubted.”
Incredibly, just a few years ago Ashley had no interest in settling down or having children.
She had been single for six years and was living her best “Carrie Bradshaw life”, when she reconnected with Tom on a dating app in 2019 having first met him at work a decade earlier.
The couple now share a house in London with their two children.
After welcoming Alfie into the world, Ashely reviewed the hospital’s notes from her birth and was shocked to learn that the only reason she wasn’t given pain relief is because she was “coping fine.”
The mum even checked with her partner, who agreed it was clear she wanted some form of pain relief during the birth.

“It was the worst experience and it just completely broke my trust [with medical professionals],” she said.
Unfortunately, the lack of pain relief was only part of the issue for the reality star, who claimed she was also “stitched up incorrectly”, leading to faecal incontinence, leaving her unable to control her bowel movements.
“I felt disgusting,” she admitted.
“I went from being this really healthy, athletic person to suddenly not knowing if I could trust my body to function.”
During this time Ashley was also diagnosed with vaginismus, an involuntary tensing of the vagina which can mean sex and even inserting a tampon is excruciatingly painful.
Before the diagnosis, and it’s eventual fix at 22-months postpartum, Ashley said she was told by doctors that the pain was “all in her head”
“How has it taken people telling me it’s all in my head like I’m some crazy woman when it’s actually something that women get,” she said.
The presenter even admitted that as she was struggling people had little sympathy for her.
This narrative around postpartum care is something Ashley is keen to combat.
“If I try and talk about it it’s like ‘oh well, at least Alfie was safe’ and ‘do you think you’re the first person to go through childbirth?’
“Then you also get this toxic positive narrative of ‘all you hear is negative birth experiences’ and I’m like, it’s not like I wear a badge of honour, I’m literally traumatised for life.”
Ashley continued: “It’s so frustrating because we blame the women for having the bad experience.”

Last week, Nicky Young appeared to reveal more about the break-up by liking fan comments speculating over the circumstances.
One post liked by Nicky read: “Sometimes relationships just don’t work out.
“We’re not in their lives so we don’t know the reasons.
“Sometimes people can just outgrow each other or not be as driven or want different out of life and much more.”
The post continued: “They can try to keep it together but then it can be much worse.”
Following the shock split fans have also speculated Tasha – who reached the final of Love Island with Andrew in 2022 – is growing close to her Strictly co-star Jamie Borthwick.
They’re currently on the Strictly tour and were recently seen enjoying some downtime during a fancy dinner in Sheffield.
Show professional Carlos Gu shared a clip of Tasha and Jamie dancing together and captioned it: “Fresh couple in the making.”
As we revealed Tasha was on Raya, insiders told how Andrew was completely unaware Tasha was already moving on.
A source said: “Andrew and Tasha had been in a difficult place and had only just decided to end things.
“To Andrew it was all very fresh and raw – so to see that Tasha was on Raya and had updated her profile with pictures from when they were still dating last month was incredibly painful.”
M6 traffic: Rush hour chaos as motorway CLOSED due to crash sparking huge queues with police scrambled
MOTORISTS have been hit with rush hour chaos as the M6 shuts down three lanes after a crash.
Bumper-to-bumper traffic was sparked after a collision on the M6 Northbound between junctions 31 and 31A.
Lanes one, two and three have since been closed off and will remain shut “for some time”, according to cops.
Drivers have been warned of “heavy and slow moving” congestion in the area.
Those affected have been urged to find an alternative route before setting out on their journey.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “Lanes one, two and three M6 Northbound between junctions 31 and 31A are closed due to a road traffic collision. They will be closed for some time.
“Traffic will be heavy and slow moving. We’d recommend looking for an alternative route. We’ll update you here once the road is open.”
A National Highways north west spokesperson added: “Three (of four) lanes closed on the M6 in Lancashire northbound between J31 Preston and J31A Ribbleton due to a collision. National Highways Traffic Officers are on scene, thank you for your patience.”
