IF you are a cruise fan, you’ll know the impact that a two-week sailing can have on your waistline.

ANNO POWER (2.55 Taunton, nap)

This six-year-old first caught the eye when winning a decent Ascot bumper this time last year on her second run for Harry Fry. She then scored on the level at Cheltenham before returning from seven months off to score on hurdles debut at Sandown in November. That was a good effort given how novicey she was over her jumps. She should improve a bundle for that experience and progress way past this standard of opposition.

MORANDI SECOND (2.40 Market Rasen, nb)

He finished off the Flat season with an easy Catterick win and returned to hurdles with a close-up third at Sedgefield. But for hitting the final flight he would have won. This drop back in distance looks a wise move and he is more than capable of winning.

COURT CIAN (3.10 Market Rasen, treble)

Has won two of his past three and looks set to strike again. He had no fewer than 16 lengths in hand when scooting in at Fakenham on New Year’s Day and even a 10lb rise in the weights won’t put the brakes on.

TIME PATROL (5.00 Newcastle, Lucky 15)

He has forged a fantastic partnership with Molly Gunn who can claim her 7lb today. She has been on board for wins here and at Lingfield and can steer him home again in this winnable contest.

Michelle Keegan shows off huge baby bump for first time as she reveals ‘time off’ acting career

MICHELLE Keegan has revealed her blooming baby bump for the first time in a glamorous new photo shoot.

The mum-to-be, 37, has shown off her growing tummy in a long, sleeveless knitted dress while enjoying a hot drink in the kitchen.

Michelle’s hair has been pinned up loosely for the stunning black and white photo and she has shunned shoes for bare feet.

The picture is part of a new photo shoot for Grazia magazine – and it the first official shoot Michelle has done since announcing her pregnancy.

Another close-up shot shows her gazing at the camera, while Michelle features on the magazine’s cover in an oversized jumper and baggy trousers.

Michelle, who found fame in Coronation Street, has told the publication her plans for work once the baby arrives.

The actress, who is currently filming the final series of Brassic, said: “I’m going to take a good chunk of time off to enjoy being a mum.

“I’m never normally at home in the summer, I’ve always been away working, so I can’t wait.”

Michelle told Grazia she will take the entire year off, but will then return to work for a “big new job”.

The star, who is married to former Towie star Mark Wright, is keeping tight-lipped about what her new gig is, though.

Michelle, who spent five months working in Australia last year for the upcoming new series of the BBC’s Ten Pound Poms, is feeling relaxed about taking a big break in her career.

“I used to panic if I had a long gap in-between jobs, thinking I’ll never work again,” she said.

“But I’m getting better at trusting the process, trusting my instincts and saying no to what’s not right for me.”

Michelle added: “It’s taken years and it’s still hard. I’ve always been such a people pleaser.

“But now I’m learning to be unapologetically me.”

BABY PREP

Michelle and Mark, 38, announced their happy baby news in December with a stunning photoshoot in Mallorca.

In a snap showing off her little baby bump for the very first time, the actress bared her tummy in an all-white outfit.

Posing on a beach, Michelle carefully placed her hand on the bump as she gazed lovingly at her husband.

Last week, as January drew to a close, the star gave fans glimpse of her baby prep in a series of photos.

Among her pictures was a shot of her mum-to-be beauty products, including a ‘bump mask’, and one of a therapist’s table ahead of a pregnancy massage.

The Fool Me Once star finished her Instagram haul with a shot of the sunrise coming up over hers and Mark’s £3.5million Essex mansion, along with a video of herself walking alongside her hubby.

The final shot simply said: “This will be a good year.”

Michelle Keegan reveals pregnancy cravings as she opens up on secrets of marriage to Mark Wright

MICHELLE Keegan has revealed the pregnancy cravings she has been experiencing while carrying her first child.

The stunning mum-to-be, 37, has spoken out in a new interview, opening up on secrets of her marriage to Mark Wright and revealing what her first pregnancy has been like so far.

At the end of December 2024, Michelle and Mark – who have been married for nine years – announced that they were is expecting their first child together.

Speaking to Grazia in a new interview, Michelle revealed what she’s been craving food-wise since getting pregnant.

According to the magazine, the actress’ team requested “a few different flavours of crisps” – but Michelle had other ideas.

I’m usually a savoury girl, but now I’m craving sugary stuff,” she told the magazine while reaching for a chocolate-filled pastry.

“I’ll eat a chocolate bar while walking around the supermarket and just give them the wrapper at the checkout,” she went on to reveal.

Michelle then lifted the lid on her marriage to former The Only Way is Essex star Mark.

“Mark and I feel lucky to work in this industry, but it doesn’t dominate our lives,” she revealed to the magazine.

She explained how they like to dip their toes in briefly before stepping back into their normal lives.

‘A COMPLETE MESS’

“It’s very boring and probably quite basic, but that’s how I like it,” she added, before saying how it “probably doesn’t look like that”.

“In the press, at awards or on Instagram, it might look polished from the outside,” Michelle dished.

She then revealed how her home life is far from polished, with the couple’s Essex mansion “a complete mess” on the day that she was interviewed.

“When I get home, if Mark hasn’t cleaned it, I’ll probably have a go at him and then do it myself,” she added.

BABY JOY

Michelle and Mark announced the happy news of their pregnancy on Instagram at the end of last year.

They couple shared a snap of the former Coronation Street star cradling her growing baby bump on the beach.

Since rising to fame over a decade ago as a reality TV star, popular personality Mark Wright has gone on to enjoy a successful career.

  • The Only Way is Essex (2010-2011, regular): Mark was an original Towie cast member from its October 2010 launch and spanning series 1-3. He left the programme in 2011 but has returned for a handful of cameos.

  • Clean It, Fix It (2024 – present): Mark has joined the popular BBC daytime show from its fourth series onwards.

Wearing a chic white outfit with an off-the-shoulder jumper and matching skirt, Mark could be seen walking towards his beaming wife.

They captioned the post: “2025 is going to be a special one for us…”

Shortly after the news of the couple’s baby joy, a source told us that the pair were being targeted for a fly-on-the-wall documentary series.

NEW SERIES?

A source said: “Michelle and Mark are such a TV power couple, and becoming parents is huge for them.

“A couple of production companies are writing up propositions to see if they’d let in cameras to follow them becoming parents.

“These fly-on-the-wall shows are huge on ITV, as well as streamers like Prime, and there is a huge audience that would love an insight into Michelle and Mark’s world.

“It’s all just in the planning stages and no formal approaches have been made but the offers are close to being finalised.”

They added: “Michelle is pedal to the metal on Brassic at the moment. She is finishing up her scenes before she goes off for a break.

“Her co-stars will stay working until about May but Michelle is having to get finished in about three weeks.”

British Army scandal as soldiers’ body armour does NOT stop bullets placing them in mortal danger

Plans to replace the plates, in use since the 1980s, had been delayed[/caption]

Troops will face mortal danger as top brass scramble to find replacements..

The flaws were discovered in ceramic plates known as enhanced combat body armour.

The Army, Navy and RAF have at least 120,000 sets.

Armed Forces minister John Healey says in a letter to chiefs: “I will not accept a make do and mend approach to the safety or operational capability of our people.

“I know you will not either.”

Plans to replace the plates, in use since the 1980s, had been delayed. Labour blames Tory cuts.

Some can switch to Osprey and Virtus kit but Marine Commandos and sailors at sea are banned from using those as the extra weight might drown them.

Every plate is being tested for flaws. So far’ one in 10 has failed.

The MoD said: “As a precaution, its use has been suspended in all but unavoidable circumstances.”
