Inside the Traitors host Claudia Winkleman’s beauty secrets – from £4 buy for shiny hair to bizarre hack to better sleep

SINCE Claudia Winkleman hit our TV screens in the 90s we’ve been hooked on her ever since.

And the Traitors host is almost as well known for her signature style as for her presenting skills.

With a heavy block fringe, dark liner and glowing skin, the 53-year-old looks like she has barely aged in the past few decades.

Here, Fabulous looks at how she gets her signature look – from her favourite shampoo for shiny hair to the bizarre hack she swears by for a better night’s sleep.

SKIN WIN

The Traitors host always looks amazing, and now you can to as she share her favourite skincare product.

Claudia’s skin always has a natural glow and she says it’s all down to one skincare product.

She told Get the Gloss: “I am extremely keen on Skin Food by Weleda.”

She beamed: “It does what it promises. My skin inhales it.”

The cream can be used overnight as a treatment or during the day as a moisturiser.

You’ll be pleased to know it’s super affordable too costing just £2.99 from Holland & Barrett.

HAIR WE GO

The one thing we always obsess over when we think of Claudia Winkleman is her sleek and shiny hair.

“The best thing about The Traitors is how shiny Claudia’s hair is,” one person wrote on X.

“It’s like a goddam mirror!”

“I want to know how she gets it so shiny and manages to keep it that way,” another mused.

Claudia herself admits her hair is her ‘thing’ and has shared how she keeps it ‘shinier than a unicorn.’

“There’s only one shampoo worth talking about,” she previously told Closer Online.

“I don’t use anything other than Head & Shoulders, nothing on Earth makes my hair shiny quite like it.

“I adore it.”

The shampoo costs just £4 from Amazon, of which Claudia is the face of.

“When Head and Shoulders got in touch and asked to work with me I thought ‘listen love, you’ve got the wrong person here, I am not a man and I don’t have dandruff,’ and put the phone down,” she told Hello!.

“But then they told me that they had this new formula that makes hair really shiny and they sent it to me and I used it religiously for three months, in fact the whole family did, and it works.

“I’m not just saying this – my hair has never been shinier or glossier.”

GET GLOWING

Claudia’s tan never fails her whether it’s the summer or winter months.

And she swears by Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Glow Pads (£39), as she told Grazia: “One swipe and you will faint and openly weep. And we all know I like to be orange.

“But trust me when I say it won’t make you orange – just a sweep will make it look like you’ve eaten outside on a sunny day.”

She’s also admitted to using Bisto craving and tea bags in a pinch for some added colour to her face.

For her body, Claudia often gets a spray tan but if she is left to her own devices uses Dove self-tanner.

Claudia Winkleman's career so far

Holiday (1992–1996): Claudia started her TV career as a travel show presenter, delivering segments from exotic locations.

Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two (2004–2010): Although she worked on a few shows between Holiday and Strictly, Claudia really came into her own as a presenter on this spin-off, where she could be seen offering behind-the-scenes gossip and interviewing contestants. She hosted It Takes Two from its inception until Zoe Ball took over from her in 2011.

Strictly Come Dancing (2014–present): After Sir Bruce Forsyth left the BBC show due to health concerns, Claudia joined Tess Daly as a co-host of the main show. This is one of the jobs Claudia is best known for.

Film 2010 (2010–2016): Claudia succeeded Jonathan Ross as the host of the BBC’s flagship film review show in 2010. She was praised by The Guardian for being a “passionate and engaging advocate of cinema” in this role.

The Great British Sewing Bee (2013–2016): Claudia brought her wit to the crafting competition for three years.

The Traitors (2022-present): Claudia’s dark hair and resting mysterious face have become synonymous with this hit reality show. Despite her attempts to leave after the first series in case future seasons flopped, BBC bosses were determined to keep her on, so it seems unlikely she’ll stop heading up the show anytime soon.

SLEEPING BEAUTY

While Claudia has her staple products to get her signature look, she isn’t as fussed about removing them.

She even claims that not taking her make-up off helps her get a better nights sleep.

‘I’ve never ever taken it off before bed,’ she insisted to The Express.

I take it off the next morning with my nifty Boots No7 gel which comes in a tube. Fantastic – don’t have to deal with pot opening. But no, I sleep in it. I have more fun in my dream.’

WALK IT OFF

Claudia has a slim figure which might make you think she sticks to a grueling workout routine.

In reality, she couldn’t be more opposed to it.

Claudia revealed on Gabby Logan’s podcast The Mid•Point: “I don’t like physical exertion of any kind.”

She revealed to Marie Claire that she got really into walking during lockdown as living without a garden forced her and her family to get their fresh air by walking around London – dubbing their newfound hobby ‘urban walking’.

While guest starring on The Mid•Point, she told Gabi about her reformer pilates class: “It’s round the corner from me, so I can go there and everybody is lovely – it’s super quiet.”

But it’s a hobby she takes very casually: “They talk to me about parts of my body and say things like, ‘The problem is you’ve never used your lats,’ and I’m like, ‘What’s that?'”

The £55 airport fee that Ryanair is scrapping this year

RYANAIR passengers soon won’t get caught out with a strict £55 when getting to the airport.

The budget airline announced last year that they planned to phase out printed boarding passes.

Currently, passengers who fail to check in online and have to get their boarding pass at the desk has to pay a £55 fee.

Some families have been left hundreds of pounds out of pocket when forgetting to do this.

However, Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary said last year that he was wanted to scrap all printed passes in favour of mobile boarding passes by May.

He said: “Our goal is to eliminate check-in desks at the airport, just like we’ve done with luggage counters.

“Everything will be managed through the app, making the process fully digital and eliminating paper entirely.”

“I’m one of the last remaining people still showing up with my piece of paper.

“It also means, once we get everybody onto the app, nobody will ever again pay for a boarding pass at an airport – the airport check in fee will be gone.

“So, I think it will be a smoother, easier journey for everybody.”

While this means no more £55 fees, passengers will need to make sure their phone has enough battery.

Anyone with a dead battery may find themselves struggling to get through security.

Despite this, O’Leary said passengers will still be able to board if their phone dies when they get to the gate.

He told the Telegraph: “If your battery dies, we have your seat and your passport and we can do that at the boarding gates at the moment.”

There are a number of destinations that Brits will still need to print their boarding pass for, however.

Airports in Morocco require a physical copy, due to additional checks at security, as do ones in Turkey, excluding Dalaman.

And Tirana Airport in Albania also cannot accept mobile boarding passes.

Sun Travel has contacted Ryanair for clarification regarding mobile passes for these destinations.

Some travel experts have said that other airlines could ditch boarding passes altogether.

Start-up airline Riyadh Air’s chief executive Tony Douglas said mobile boarding passes could even be a thing of the past by 2030.

This would be replaced with biometric checks such as fingerprint and iris scans.

Advice for flying with Ryanair

  • All Ryanair passengers can bring a small personal bag on board but this must fit under the seat in front of you, but it must be no bigger than 40cm x 20cm x 25cm
  • Any over-sized cabin bags will be refused at the boarding gate and put in the hold for a fee
  • Ryanair also charges passengers up to £55 check-in at the airport
  • Anyone who loses their card at the airport will have to pay a £20 reissue fee
  • Book to sit in the front five rows if you want to head off the plane first
  • Extra legroom seats can be found in rows 1 A, B, C or 2 D, E, F as well as row 16 and 17 near the emergency exit
  • The worst seat on Ryanair’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft is also 11A because of its lack of window.

Here’s the seat number you never want to see on your boarding pass.

And why having SSSS on your pass might delay you at security.

And now she and fiance Adam, 29, have welcomed their first baby into the world.

Collard announced the happy news on Instagram, writing: “Leo Ernie Collard, our boy.”

He shared a host of snaps showing the new parents getting to grips with their bundle of joy.

ITV host Woods worked the entire Euro 2024 campaign managing to keep the joyful news of her pregnancy a secret.

The ex-talkSPORT host went public with the news between the Euros and Olympics in the summer.

The TV presenter and award-winning journalist shared a picture of an ultrasound on Instagram, complete with her French bulldog peeking over the top.

Since then, Woods has shared regular baby bump updates with her legion of fans on social media.

However, fans had been kept in the dark as to her due date, with Woods and Collard playing their cards close to their chest.

So today’s news came as a wonderful surprise.

It has been a big 12 months for Laura, having also announced she and partner Adam got engaged in September having first started dating in 2023.

The former Love Island hunk got down on one knee on a beach in Cornwall to pop the question.

Laura told her Instagram followers about the news in a post that said: “And just like that…💍💫 You make me happy @adamcollard 🤍

“Thank you @carbisbayestate – the place we fell in love and now the place we got engaged, you made it so special 🥹 What a summer x”

The glamorous TNT Sports presenter hasn’t been shy in showing off her stunning engagement ring.

Woods is the lead presenter on TNT Sports for their Champions League coverage and continued her boxing work for the network throughout her pregnancy.

Adam rose to fame after appearing on Love Island – TWICE. He also took part in Celebs Go Dating.

On the show he enjoyed a whirlwind fling with Kate Moss‘ sister Lottie Moss.

Prior to that, Adam’s first public romance was on Love Island where he was coupled up with influencer and Strictly star Zara McDermott.

He claims to have had 25 girlfriends.

But just weeks after splitting with Lottie, who now refuses to talk to him, he fell for Woods.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun about his romance with Laura, Adam said: “The first time we met – I’ll hold my hands up – I did DM her first and got a reply but then nothing ever happened.

“Then she called us out for basically leaving her on read.

“It’s hard to meet people, isn’t it? I’m from Newcastle and eventually we met up, and then went on a very undercover date, and obviously what comes out in the press, comes out in the press, but it’s not always the full story.”

Just earlier this year, Adam opened up about a secret battle with addiction and depression.

While 2024 was filled with his engagement and news of expecting his first child, he called it “the hardest year of my life”.

He admitted to having a painkiller and sleeping pill addiction and struggling with his mental health.

How Laura Woods tamed Love Island bad boy Adam Collard

HE was one of Love Island's most notorious bad boys - but one woman seems to have changed all that.

Personal trainer Adam Collard, 28, has been dating Euro 2024 presenter Laura Woods, 36, since 2023.

The former loverat has called her “The One,” spent Christmas with her – the first time he’s done so with a girlfriend since he was 21 – and kept their relationship relatively out of the limelight, seemingly on Laura’s wishes.

It’s a far cry from the man who admits himself he’s been “ruthless” in the past, claims to have had 25 girlfriends, and spent many years partying and juggling flings with girls including Zara McDermott and Lottie Moss.

Relationship expert Jo Hemmings says: “He’s now 28, he’s a professional with a job, and I think he just went off the whole idea of ever realistically meeting somebody on a TV show.

“He’s now met somebody who is also a professional, and is only on TV as a byproduct of what she does in sport.

“He’s got himself in a comfortable place. Financially, he’s older, he’s more mature, he’s more settled.

“He once played into this roguish character that people saw him as, and became a parody of himself. But look who’s laughing now.

“He’s got a fabulous girlfriend, they’re in a long term relationship, he’s well off, he’s still in the public eye, and he’s getting on with his life in the way that I think he always wanted.”
