Shamed I’m A Celeb star to start new life abroad as he puts £4.2m mansion up for sale as UK TV opportunities ‘get fewer’

UNDER-fire TV chef Gino D’Acampo is set to start a new life Down Under.

The 48-year-old is launching “multiple work projects” in Australia — five months after ITV cut ties with with the former This Morning favourite, following allegations of inappropriate behaviour while making shows.

The Italian cook is launching projects including two new restaurants and a culinary tech platform, 11,000 miles from his Hertfordshire mansion — now on the market for £4.2million.

Last night, Gino’s representative said: “He loves Australia a lot — the people, culture, cleanliness and environment.”

While Gino will keep a base in the UK, he will be spending increasing amounts of time Down Under over the next two years as he also sets up a new cookware range for the international market.

A source added: “Gino has had a fantastic career over here — and still has an incredibly loyal fanbase.

“But it’s been made clear to him that TV opportunities over here are few and far between in the wake of recent allegations, and that’s frustrating.

“While Gino has always denied any wrongdoing, he’s a pragmatist and knows it’s time for new adventures.

“He’s been inundated with offers Down Under following a really successful tour there.

“He spent some time in Australia a few years ago, and loved it. He still has a large social media following and plans to capitalise on that in the next stage of his career.”

The source said the star will be launching two new restaurants in Australia and will split his time between there and the UK for the next two years.

His wife of 22 years, Jessica, and their three children will remain in Britain.

The source added: “But if all goes well, Australia is a full-time option.”

Gino is understood to be looking at properties in Melbourne, which he visited during his 2019 Aussie Escapes tour.

He won ITV’s I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here in the Australian jungle in 2009.

The decision to sell-up comes after his restaurant empire racked up debts of £7.3million and went into administration before a buyer was found.

A source says he has bought a new house in the UK.

Last year, The Sun revealed Gino had been put on a language and behavioural course by concerned ITV bosses.

And earlier this year an ITV investigation found there were multiple claims of “unacceptable”, “distressing” and “horrendous” behaviour against him, dating back 12 years.

It was also claimed ITV ignored complaints over the star’s “inappropriate” treatment of colleagues, which included sexist comments made towards former This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby in 2018.

He was also edged out of Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip after refusing to sign a morality clause.

Gino has firmly denied all the allegations against him.

Gen Zs reveal the boomer airport habits they find super irritating & why people need to stop doing holding up queues

THERE’s nothing like jetting off to somewhere sunny to enjoy a week of sunshine.

But before you can feel the sand between your toes you have to conquer the airport – and it turns out different generations go about the whole ordeal pretty differently.

Some Gen Z shared their issues with older jetsetters[/caption]

In fact, it turns out Gen Z find the airport habits of Boomers unbearable.

So, what exactly is it that annoys them so much?

According to one user on Reddit, the older generation known as Baby Boomers, who are currently between 61 and 79 years old, have some pretty annoying airport habits.

Boarding planes slowly

“For a generation that’s been around air travel the longest, they’re by far the worst when it comes to boarding planes,” one anonymous user fumed on Reddit.

Apparently, the older generation spend too long putting their bags in the overhead holders before sitting down.

In doing so, they hold everyone else up from getting on the plane, the Reddit user said.

“Speaking from current experience waiting for a group of boomers to figure their lives out,” they added.

Of course, it’s important to acknowledge older people might not be able to move as fast as Gen Z, so offering help could be a good option in this situation.

Not knowing security rules

Holding up the line at security can be pretty annoying, but apparently the worst offenders are the older generation.

This comes as one user on Twitter fumed over a older woman holding up everyone else as she rummaged through her makeup bag, unaware of what she could and couldn’t take in her hand luggage.

Having their tech on full volume

Most people know headphones are the best way to enjoy games, videos are all the other offerings of their mobile phones when they travel.

But according to some people Boomers didn’t get that memo.

“I’ll never understand older people who play games on their phones on full volume in public,” one person on Twitter wrote after 15 hours of travel.

Talking too loud

Another annoying airport habit of Boomers is talking too loud, both in person and on the phone.

“I was on a flight a few weeks back. Lucky for me I got a first class upgrade. Two rows in front of me is a Boomer talking loudly on his phone using the speaker,” one person on Reddit explained.

“It was so loud you could hear both sides of the conversation throughout the cabin,” he added.

Being rude to airport staff

Another way Boomers and Gen Z clash is because of their approach to customer service, other Reddit users agreed.

“Boomers are so crazy at airports. If you act with the slightest bit of compassion towards airline employees they are always super nice,” one explained.

“Have had a lot of fees waived just because I am not ranting and raving. The bar for airport behaviour is on the floor.”

Bustamante’s motorsport journey really got into gear in January 2022 when she drove in the W Series test in Arizona with scores of other prospects.

That led to her competing in the 2022 W Series season, which she ended in 15th place.

She then started competing in Formula 4 before joining the all-female F1 Academy series with Prema Racing.

Her impressive drives caught the eye of McLaren, who in October 2023, signed her to their Driver development programme.

Bustamante also had a brief stint in Italian F4 with Art Grand Prix.

Her transition to Formula E began in October 2024 when it was announced she’d be part of pre-season testing for McLaren’s Formula E Women’s Team for the 2024-25 season.

And just last month, she was snapped as a development driver by Cupra Kiro.

Bustamante will be in action at the E-Prix at Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin this coming weekend.

And to say she’s excited by the race would be an understatement.

Bustamante wrote on her Instagram: “Such a surreal moment. I still can’t believe I’ll have this opportunity in 2025.”

Cobh Ramblers part ways with new owners after just NINE MONTHS as League of Ireland club release statement

COBH RAMBLERS have announced that investors FC32 have parted company with the club after just nine months in charge.

The investment company announced last October that it had purchased the First Division outfit and had big ambitions to develop an academy at the club.

But, while there was no public comment from the club, there were rumours of issues when FC32 ended its backing of Austrian outfit St Polten in early April.

And Cobh has now confirmed that the club was kept going by the volunteer committee, with FC32 no longer involved.

A statement read: “We can confirm that the club has formally and fully parted ways with FC32 Global Investments Limited.

“The process of separation has been completed, and Cobh Ramblers FC has returned to being solely operated by its elected committee and Directors.

“Any previously appointed representatives or board members affiliated with FC32 are no longer involved in the club.

“In recent months, the club has remained operational thanks to the dedication and hard work of our volunteer committee and the elected members board.

“Their efforts have ensured that the club could continue to function through a period of uncertainty and transition.

“We are also pleased to confirm that we are in the advanced stages of discussions with a new preferred investor group.

“This group has already provided assistance and support to the club in recent weeks, helping to stabilise club operations while both parties’ complete due diligence.

“We are optimistic that these discussions will lead to a positive outcome for the future of the club and would like to thank the investor group for supporting the club in the interim.

“The focus now is firmly on moving forward together, with the best interests of Cobh Ramblers FC at heart.”

Summer flights chaos fears as BA staff locked out of computers after disastrous security upgrade

THERE are fears of a British Airways flights chaos after a disastrous cyber security upgrade locked global staff out of company systems.

An unannounced password switch means pilots and crew are struggling to access flight plans and rosters.

Union bosses warned of school holidays disruption as baffled staff were ordered to change their access codes and complete a 40-minute online interview with tech teams in India.

But workers can only upgrade their accounts from a desk at Heathrow on weekdays between 9am and 5pm.

And with more than 50 per cent overseas, the timetable is in peril.

The unannounced “BSafe password change” has left staff automatically locked out of all company systems, including flight information, service documents, staff travel, email, training schedules and rosters.

Those affected have been told to email managers but cannot access work emails.

The Sun understands the BA manager in charge of the botched password roll-out is now on holiday and the process cannot be halted.

A union spokesman warned airline staff in a message seen by The Sun: “Out of nowhere BA have changed access to Employee Self Service, completely overlooking that crew along with pilots are a remote workforce.

“Well over 50 per cent of BA employees either work or live overseas. It’s an old saying ‘you don’t fix what isn’t broken’ — BA have done exactly that with disastrous results.”

The Sun understands the upgrade was requested by BA’s Spanish owner IAG over fears of an “imminent cyber attack”.

BA said: “We’ve been making some system improvements to boost our online security. This has had no impact on our operation or customers.”
