Deadline closing for evil killer Richard Satchwell to lodge appeal on conviction for murdering wife Tina in Cork home

EVIL killer Richard Satchwell has until the end of today (Wed) to lodge an appeal against his conviction for murdering his wife Tina.

The English-born truck driver was convicted at the end of last month of horrifically killing the 45-year-old in their home in Youghal, Co Cork, in March, 2017.

The evil murderer hid her body in a concrete grave under their stairs for six-and-a-half years.

He was subsequently jailed for life on June 4 – and has 21 days from that date to lodge any appeal with the High Court office.

A source told the Irish Sun: “He can only appeal his conviction, not the sentence, because he was given the mandatory sentence for a conviction of murder.

“He has 21 days from the date of his sentence to lodge his appeal papers with the High Court and that is yet to be done.

“The 21-day deadline expires at close of business on Wednesday, so he has until then to get the papers in so that the appeal process can begin.

“He can apply for an extension of that 21-day deadline but this must be done in public before the court and there’s no sign that his legal team have sought a mention date to deal with that.”

On the day he was sentenced to life, his barrister Brendan Grehan SC informed the court that Satchwell, who told Gardai that his wife was prone to violent outbursts towards him, planned to appeal because he “never intended to kill Tina”.

Mr Grehan also told how the murderer said “despite anything he said in the trial, Tina was a lovely person”.

Satchwell, 58, had denied murdering Tina at their home at Grattan Street, Youghal, Co Cork between March 19 and March 20, 2017.

His trial heard that on March 24, 2017, he told gardai that Tina had left the marital home four days earlier following a deterioration in their relationship.

He formally reported her missing the following May.

Her body was then discovered over six years later in October 2023 when gardai conducting “an invasive search” of the Satchwell home found her decomposed remains in a grave that had been dug almost one metre deep underneath the stairs.

Satchwell then told gardai that his wife “flew” at him with a chisel, that he fell backwards against the floor and she died as he tried to hold her off at the neck by the belt of her bathrobe.

He told them he then put her body in a chest freezer before removing it, wrapping it in black plastic sheeting and burying it in the concrete grave under the stairs.

JAIL JOB

Earlier this month we revealed how Satchwell has landed himself a cushy prison job as a cleaner.

The 58-year-old was sent from Dublin’s Wheatfield Prison back to the B-division of Limerick Prison, where he has been assigned the job of tidying up the staff area.

He is also on an enhanced regime, which means he gets extra phone calls and privileges.

Lag chillingly said ‘that’s for Sarah Payne’ after knifing her evil killer in bloodbath ‘revenge attack’ in prison cell

AN inmate told child killer Roy Whiting “That was for Sarah Payne” after stabbing him in his jail cell, a court heard.

Andrew Light, 45, attacked the paedophile at HMP Wakefield with a six-inch wooden shank.

Light admitted possessing a bladed article in the prison and also pleaded guilty to unlawfully wounding Whiting, but denies attempted murder and wounding with intent.

Whiting, who is serving a life sentence for the abduction and murder of eight-year-old Sarah in July 2000, was targeted on February 11, 2024.

Prison Officer Alex Dyson told the jury that Light said to Whiting as he was led away: “See you later Roy. That was for Sarah Payne.”

Giving evidence on day two of Light’s attempted murder trial, PO Dyson explained how he was on a shift on D-Wing at around 4pm when he heard “muffled” cries of “boss, boss” coming from his cell.

He added: “My initial thought was that he was causing major injury and that Whiting’s life was in immediate danger.

“I could see lots of blood on the weapon and there was blood on the floor.

“Whiting was trying desperately to get away and he had a grip of the cupboard at his right hand side of the cell.

“But Light had a tight grip of him and he could not get himself free.”

“Andrew Light had his left arm around Roy Whiting’s waist holding him, to stop him getting away.

“In his right hand he had a weapon, about six inches long, I couldn’t tell at the time what it was.

“There was a lot of blood on Roy Whiting, there was a lot of blood on the floor and on the weapon, and he was stabbing him in his stomach, from behind.

“He was stabbing him around the side, around the front in the stomach quite furiously .

“He was using a lot of force. I thought at the time that he was killing him.

“There was a lot of blood. It looked horrific.”

PO Dyson activated his body-cam and summoned assistance as he repeatedly shouted for Light to “drop the weapon”, but the inmate ignored his orders.

Whiting then crawled under his bed for protection as Light resumed his attack.

PO Dyson said he saw Light stab Whiting “at least a dozen times” before guards intervened.

Whiting suffered multiple cuts but his injuries were not life threatening, the court heard.

Giving evidence yesterday, Whiting told the jury: “I bled a hell of a lot, I thought it’s something major.”

The jury has been told that Light has admitted possessing a bladed article in the prison and also unlawfully wounding Whiting.

But he denies attempted murder and wounding with intent.

The trial continues.

Darts star, 50, claims his wife has cost him thousands by rejecting walk-on song and rival has taken advantage

DARTS star Jonny Clayton has joked his wife has cost him thousands of pounds during his career.

The Ferret is ranked No5 in the world and he has won four majors.

He reached the World Cup final this month alongside Gerwyn Price for Wales, yet has been overlooked for Premier League Darts in the last two years.

Clayton, 50, joked it is because he chose the wrong walk-on song thanks to some questionable advice from his wife Ellen.

He said on the Tops and Tales podcast: “Well, right, you could believe this or not, but I think Ellen, my wife, has cost me thousands in the Premier League because the walk-on song I wanted was Mr. Brightside.

“Serious to God. So I blame Ellen. Yeah, it was Mr Brightside, and she said, ‘No, I think something else. I don’t think that would be good.’

“So it’s her fault. So yeah, that’s true. Mr Brightside.”

The song has instead been adopted by Clayton’s rival, Nathan Aspinall.

It has proved immensely popular at venues around Europe with some players claiming it has helped him get picked for the Premier League.

Clayton revealed he has spoken about the song with Aspinall, saying: “I have told Nathan. Yeah, he just laughs. He goes, ‘Thank you, Ellen.’”

Darts stars Dave Chisnall and Mike De Decker were vocal in their criticism of this year’s Premier League Darts selection.

De Decker shared a post which read: “Mike De Decker becomes the first player in the 20-year history of the Premier League to win a major televised on Sky Sports and not be selected. Sickening.”

Chisnall did not hold back either, making it clear that he felt some players may have been picked for more than just their results at the oche.

He said: “The Premier League line-up was hardly surprising this week, but you’d have to be gutted if you were someone like a Mike de Decker or Damon Heta.

“I never expected to get a phone call – despite being World No.6 – because of how poor I’ve been on TV this year.

“But Mike can feel let down after his great run at The Grand Prix. Maybe being No.24 in the world counted against him.

“Nathan and Gerwyn can both feel a bit lucky in my opinion to be involved this year.

“Gezzy has had a lot going and struggled in 2024, whilst Nathan has done similarly.

“His run to the quarter-finals of the Worlds probably got him involved, that and everyone loving his Mr Brightside theme song.

“It’s a great entrance, but it should be about the darts, and not your walk-on that gets you involved in these big competitions.

“Nothing against them personally, as both great lads and get on well with, but it should be about your actions on the dartboard, not on a song and a dance.

“Damo [Heta] is another who I think can feel unlucky, whilst it’s good to see Chris Dobey and Steven Bunting rewarded with a spot.

“It seems like something of a changing of the guard with no Michael Smith and no Peter Wright.”

Why mums are sticking criss-cross plasters over their children’s belly buttons when heading off on holiday this summer

AN unusual parenting hack is going viral online ahead of the summer holidays.

However, experts have broken down whether or not this unique step works.

Parents have been placing plasters in a criss-cross shape on their children’s belly buttons before travelling this summer.

According to them, this DIY trick can help to ward off motion sickness.

TikTok mum Victoria (@smart.move.family) called the technique the “first thing” she does on a cruise.

And another mom-fluencer Ttsagana (@tsagana24) placed plasters on her children’s belly buttons before boarding their camper van.

“Here’s what I do to prevent motion sickness,” she informed her TikTok followers.

Instagram user Jasmin (@rainbow.construction) revealed that her family’s “travel life has completely changed” since learning the hack.

“I know, it sounds super crazy, but it totally works for both my children,” she said.

“They used to be so poorly during longer car rides.”

However, there is no science to back up this step as a method of curbing motion sickness.

Pediatrician Mona (@pedsdoctalk) shared her take on the technique in a TikTok video.

First, she explained that motion sickness happens when the brain gets conflicting messages.

The inner ear senses movement when travelling on a vehicle so when your child is focused on something still like a book or tablet, their brain gets confused.

This causes a mismatch which can result in nausea, dizziness, and sometimes vomiting.

“So unless this band-aid hack can magically rewire the entire sensory system, it’s just another myth,” Dr. Mona said.

However, she added that if it seems to have a placebo effect on your child, then you should continue using it.

More parenting hacks

IF you want to make your life easier as a first-time mum, here's nine hacks you won't want to miss.

1. Routine Charts

Create visual charts for daily routines. Use pictures and stickers to make them engaging for younger children.

2. Meal Planning

Plan meals a week in advance to save time and reduce stress. Involve your children in meal prep to teach them cooking skills.

3. Toy Rotation

Keep a portion of toys stored away and rotate them periodically. This keeps playtime fresh and exciting without the need for constant new purchases.

4. DIY Cleaning Solutions

Make child-safe cleaning solutions using vinegar and baking soda. It’s effective and keeps harsh chemicals away from little hands.

5. Time-Out Jar

Create a time-out jar filled with calming activities written on slips of paper. When emotions run high, children can pick an activity to help them settle down.

6. Educational Apps

Utilise educational apps and websites to make screen time productive. Look for ones that offer interactive learning in subjects your child is interested in.

7. Command Centre

Set up a family command centre with a calendar, key hooks, and a bulletin board. It helps keep everyone organised and aware of daily schedules.

8. Emergency Kit

Keep a small emergency kit in the car with essentials like snacks, water, first aid supplies, and a change of clothes. It’s a lifesaver for unexpected situations.

9. Label Everything

Use labels for clothes, school supplies, and lunch boxes. It makes it easier to keep track of belongings, especially in shared spaces like schools.

And if your child continues to feel sick while travelling, the health professional recommended other ways to tackle motion sickness.

She advised parents to consider the seat position of their child if aged two or older.

According to her, you should also keep your car cool and crack a window if possible.

Distracting your child by playing I Spy or encouraging them to look out the window can also help nausea.

And finally, hold off on heavy meals before travelling and focus on light snacks to settle your child’s stomach.

Meanwhile, one mum was slammed for her DIY alternative to sand pits.

One parenting pro shared the hack she swears by for getting toddlers to sleep in minutes.

Plus, a budget-friendly trick will keep your child’s bedroom spick and span.

And an Alexa hack that is helping parents convert picky eaters and it also aids with bed time.

Chelsea files: Levi Colwill bags unusual trophy for winning Conference League and fans fear wonderkid is on the way out

LEVI COLWILL picked up an unexpected trophy at the end of Chelsea’s triumphant Conference League campaign.

The defender revealed just days before the final last month how much he loves building LEGO sets as a means of therapy and to de-stress away from the pressure of playing top level football.

And as a reward for being part of The Blues’ squad which went all the way to lifting the cup on May 28 in Poland by beating Real Betis, and for giving the famous toy brand a vast amount of free advertising, Colwill received a set in the post from grateful bosses at the Danish toy company.

It is a Marvel Spider-Man head made up of 487 pieces and should keep the centre-back occupied during his downtime at the Club World Cup.

Colwill told how he used LEGO to keep his spirits up while injured last season, constructing a model of the Home Alone house.

CHELSEA boss Enzo Maresca was asked by a local reporter what he had made of Philadelphia so far.

The hardworking Italian replied that he is an expert on the route between the training ground and the hotel and not much else as he has not had a chance to get out and see much.

Philadelphia is a cracking city. It is one of three cities that have served as the capital of the vast country along with New York and currently, Washington DC.

At least some of the players have found time to get out and about. And SunSport’s crack team out here literally bumped into distinctive-looking Marc Cucurella and a group of other players on an afternoon stroll through the city centre just a few days ago.

FILIPE LUIS is known as one of the nicest men in football. And the Brazilian former defender only enhanced his reputation before last Friday’s Club World Cup game between Chelsea and Flamengo.

The full-back stayed only one season at Chelsea and failed to really settle. But he did make friends as well as win the Premier League and League Cup.

Luis is now manager of Brazilians Flamengo and given that he left Stamford Bridge ten years ago could have easily brushed over his history with Chelsea.

But before kick off he spotted Chelsea’s club photographer Darren Walsh in the dugout area and made a point of seeking out long-serving Blues’ snapper.

The pair embraced and Luis immediately thanked Walsh for the photo he gave him showing him holding the Premier League trophy aloft back in 2015.

Luis, 39, says he still takes great pride displaying the snap on a wall at his home in South America.

CHELSEA fans are concerned that Andrey Santos might just be toast at Stamford Bridge, before he’s even been given a real chance.

The Brazilian midfielder was exceptional in Ligue 1 last season on loan at sister club RC Strasbourg, but is yet to be given a chance at the Club World Cup for Chelsea.

New boys Dario Essugo and Liam Delap have both had minutes, with the former’s involvement in particular confusing fans as he plays in a similar position to Santos.

That confusion was compounded as he received no minutes whatsoever against Flamengo, prevalent because Santos came from Vasco Da Gama, meaning he would’ve had the fire in his belly had he been given a chance against Brazilian rivals.

The worry among fans is similar to the worry that has been realised by Djordje Petrovic – that without a starting spot at Chelsea, a talented player will leave in search of first team football.

Should he not be untouchable, the midfielder has been linked with PSG, Bayern Munich, and Arsenal – but is still expected to stay at Stamford Bridge and be given a chance to compete with Romeo Lavia and Enzo Fernandez for a place in the middle of the park.

He is expected to be given an opportunity in the Blues’ final Club World Cup group game vs ES Tunis, with Maresca hinting at rotation for his side.

The Chelsea boss said: “For sure, tomorrow we are going to do rotation. We’ll see if there is any chance for the ones that are not playing a lot.”

That could also mean minutes for the likes of Christopher Nkunku and even Mike Penders in goal, depending on how much the Italian wants to rotate in the scorching weather.

One thing is for sure, should Santos be left to watch his team-mates again, he will be disgruntled.

STYLE is synonymous with Chelsea in the modern era, and nothing personifies that more than their incredible line up of kits for the 25/26 season.

But with the simply ridiculous price it costs to buy a football shirt, you have to be selective with which one you buy.

The Blues’ home and away kit launches have both gone down a treat with fans, with many rushing to buy their new bit of gear with ‘PALMER 10’ on the back, as well the flashy Champions League sleeve badges – but perhaps when they see the leaked pre-match shirt they will be wishing they saved their hard earned cash, as pre-match kits are significantly cheaper.

This new ‘leaked’ bit of kit follows shirt manufacturer Nike’s ‘T90’ theme for next season, as they tap into the nostalgia that has gripped football and fashion of late.

The retro badge and total 90 detailing is also expected to feature on a black third kit for Chelsea, which may just be the pick of the bunch and will be a popular wardrobe choice at Stamford Bridge next season no doubt.

THIAGO Silva had sections of the Chelsea fanbase in tears as he left the Blues a hero just over a season ago.

But his form at the Club World Cup this summer is perhaps showing he could’ve still done a job for Enzo Maresca’s side this season – even in a reduced capacity.

Back at his boyhood club Fluminese, he played 90 minutes in a clean sheet performance against Borussia Dortmund, winning the most aerial duels of anyone in the game, making clearances, three interceptions and not being dribbled past ONCE.

Not only that, Silva showed the kind of impact he had on the dressing room at Chelsea, with a touching moment on the pitch between the Brazilian legend and on-loan starlet Carney Chukwuemeka.

Perhaps with him around, Chelsea could have finished even higher in the league table, and there is no denying that someone of his stature would be handy in their Champions League campaign next season.

The 40-year-old has undoubtedly aged like the finest of Cabernet Sauvignons, and will almost definitely be back at Chelsea in some way, shape or form in the future.

Chelsea starlet Estevao Willian has long been nicknamed ‘Messinho’ in his native Brazil, and tipped by many to follow in his the great Argentine’s footsteps.

They faced off last night, as Palmeiras drew 2-2 with Inter Miami, in a game in which the Brazilian was one of the best players on the pitch despite not scoring.

The starlet swapped shirts with both Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, who scored and grabbed an assist in the match, in what some fans highlighted as a ‘passing of the torch’ moment.

FORMER Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo has landed a top coaching job in Brazil and will now play a major role in the development of the Blues’ latest wonderkid signing.

Crespo is taking over at Sao Paulo again after answering the club’s call to replace fellow Argentinean Luis Zubeldia.

The 49-year-old returns just over four years after he led them to the Sao Paulo state title to end the club’s nine-year trophy drought.

He took coaching jobs in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates after that, taking Al-Ain to the Asian Champions League title in 2024 and earning them a berth at the current Club World Cup.

Crespo spent five years on the books at Stamford Bridge, where he played under Jose Mourinho and was part of the Blues’ Premier League title-winning team in 2005-06.

The Sao Paulo squad he inherits is a classic blend of youth and experience featuring a trio of stars who made an impact in England.

Ex-Chelsea star Oscar is back at the club after a lengthy spell in China while former Tottenham winger Lucas Moura returned to reclaim the number seven shirt two years ago.

Cedric Soares, the Portuguese full-back who enjoyed spells at Southampton, Arsenal and Fulham, adds experience to the Sao Paulo backline.

The 33-year-old will be looking over his shoulder at an emerging talent who caught the eye of Chelsea scouts at this year’s South American Under-17 Championships and could be destined for stardom one day.

Angelo Candido, 16, started all six of Brazil’s matches in the tournament as they swept all comers aside to win the title with the Sao Paulo starlet netting their goal in the final with a spectacular header.

The Blues’ network must have liked what they saw because sister club Strasbourg swooped to sign the teenager in a €5m deal earlier this month.

He cannot officially make the move until after his 18th birthday, but has every chance of making a first-team breakthrough before then if he continues his rapid rise through the ranks.

That will be up to Crespo to decide.

Angelo is currently in training with the Brazil Under-17 side as they prepare to face their Mexican counterparts in a couple of friendlies in the countdown to the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in November.

Huge new £166million railway station to transform English market town with first mainline trains in 50 years

A HUGE new £166million railway station is set to completely transform a quiet English market town — as it welcomes mainline trains for the first time in 50 years.

The long-awaited transport hub promises to boost local business, slash travel times, and reconnect the community with major cities across the UK.

Rotherham is on track for a major glow-up – with a whopping £166million Gateway Station set to put the town back on the UK’s rail map.

South Yorkshire bigwigs are set to sign off another £11.35million later this month to push the game-changing project into its next phase, bringing swanky design plans and fresh procurement moves.

Network Rail reckon the brand-new four-platform station could cost between £133m and £166m, but locals say it’s worth every penny to bring mainline trains back to the borough after half a century.

The huge scheme will see a modern integrated rail and tram-train stop built at Forge Way, Parkgate – promising to supercharge Rotherham’s regional and national links and spark a brand-new Innovation Campus right next door.

SYMCA bosses have hailed the Rotherham Gateway scheme as “the most significant growth and regeneration opportunity across the North of England”.

The SYMCA report added: “”At the heart of these plans is the proposal to radically enhance the connectivity of this site, not only within the borough and South Yorkshire, but to and from other centres of advanced manufacturing, international gateways and London with the development of a new Rotherham Gateway Station.”

Rotherham Council is leading the charge, having already secured £10million through the Town Deal and tapped into a further £1million from SYMCA’s City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement to put together a bold Station Masterplan and snap up key land.

The £166million project – which includes a brand-new mainline station and tram-train stop at Parkgate – is still awaiting full government backing, as it’s currently classed as a Department for Transport “retained scheme”.

Pencilled in for late 2030, it promises quicker trains to Sheffield, Doncaster, Leeds – and faster links to the North West, Midlands, North East, plus ports and airports.

But that’s not all. The whole area is set to boom with over 355,000 sq ft of cutting-edge manufacturing and business space, alongside around 250 new homes – adding to the 2,500 already planned nearby at Bassingthorpe Farm.

Green thumbs will be pleased too, with 100,000 sq ft earmarked for parks and green spaces, plus 32,000 sq ft of public hangout spots.

Plus, about 200 parking spots are in the plans – and no extra roadworks are expected beyond access upgrades.

Improvements will also be made to walking and cycling routes to make it easier for people to reach the station on foot or by bike.

The funding pot is still up in the air, with authorities hunting for cash from new transport grants – but nothing’s nailed down yet, meaning land buys and next steps are a bit of a gamble.

Sun Travel's favourite train journeys in the world

Sun Travel's journalists have taken their fare share of train journeys on their travels and here they share their most memorable rail experiences.

Davos to Geneva, Switzerland

“After a ski holiday in Davos, I took the scenic train back to Geneva Airport. The snow-covered mountains and tiny alpine villages that we passed were so beautiful that it felt like a moving picture was playing beyond the glass.” – Caroline McGuire

Tokyo to Kyoto by Shinkansen

“Nothing quite beats the Shinkansen bullet train, one of the fastest in the world. It hardly feels like you’re whizzing along at speed until you look outside and see the trees a green blur. Make sure to book seat D or E too – as you’ll have the best view of Mount Fuji along the way.” Kara Godfrey

London to Paris by Eurostar

“Those who have never travelled on the Eurostar may wonder what’s so special about a seemingly ordinary train that takes you across the channel. You won’t have to waste a moment and can tick off all the top attractions from the Louvre to the Champs-Élysées which are both less than five kilometres from the Gare du Nord.” – Sophie Swietochowski

Glasgow to Fort William by Scotrail

“From mountain landscapes and serene lochs to the wistful moors, I spent my three-hour journey from Glasgow to Fort William gazing out the window. Sit on the left-hand side of the train for the best views overlooking Loch Lomond.” – Hope Brotherton

Beijing to Ulaanbatar

“The Trans-Mongolian Express is truly a train journey like no other. It starts amid the chaos of central Beijing before the city’s high-rises give way to crumbling ancient villages and eventually the vast vacant plains of Mongolia, via the Gobi desert. The deep orange sunset seen in the middle of the desert is among the best I’ve witnessed anywhere.” – Ryan Gray

The main station will set back around £72 million – soaring to £94 million when factoring in risks and inflation.

The tram-train stop adds nearly £28 million (or £40 million with extras), and a four-platform build could push the total to over £127 million.

With government plans for Northern Powerhouse Rail and a decade-long infrastructure strategy due soon, Rotherham’s future looks on track — if the money lines up.

According to the BBC, when Rotherham Gateway Station opens, it will reintroduce mainline trains to Rotherham for the first time since the 1980s.

Here is how train travel has changed in the past 200 years in the UK.

Virgin Media customers warned BBC iPlayer will STOP working on some TV boxes – there’s a free upgrade for those affected

BBC iPlayer will stop working on some of Virgin’s TV boxes in a matter of weeks, The Sun can exclusively reveal.

The telecoms giant has been informing affected customers about the changes that are due to take place on July 23.

TiVo boxes are affected by the move[/caption]

Those impacted are being offered a free upgrade to a newer Virgin Media box.

The firm says it has written directly to customers who have accessed BBC iPlayer in the last six months.

Only a small portion are expected to be affected due to the TV box’s age.

The boxes affected are the older TiVo models – V6 and Virgin TV 360 boxes will continue to offer access to BBC iPlayer as normal.

Virgin Media has been trying to move people along to newer kit for sometime now.

But loss of support for BBC iPlayer to catch up on favourites like EastEnders, as well as watching boxsets, might tempt more people to switch.

“We have written directly to the small proportion of customers with a TiVo box, who have used BBC iPlayer within the past six months, to inform them that their box will not support iPlayer from 23 July,” Virgin Media told The Sun.

“As we have previously communicated directly to relevant customers, anyone with a TiVo box is able to upgrade to a new Virgin TV 360 box at no extra cost.”

Virgin TV 360, which launched in 2020, is the company’s most recent cable TV device with access to more entertainment apps and personalisation.

The first TiVo-powered box hit the scene ten years earlier in 2010.

WHY DOES TECH STOP WORKING?

By Jamie Harris, Assistant Technology and Science Editor at The Sun

It’s annoying when tech and gadgets are discontinued, rendering some features useless.

Fortunately, companies have got better at lengthening how long they support kit.

It tends to only happen after quite a few years have passed and the user numbers have dropped quite low.

The truth of the matter is, firms have to keep updating and servicing this older tech which costs them money.

When there’s only a small number of people left using them older gadgets, it’s harder to justify the cost.

Moreover, new features on things like apps may not work on dated kit.

So ultimately, in the end support is dropped for these gadgets so all their energy, money and time can be put into the newer ones.

Stella headed to Home Bargains to pick up the HotHands hand warmers which come in a pack of five pairs for £3.45.

Not only are these buys super cheap and easy to travel with, they can help keep you toasty all night long with ten hours of use.

The camping whizz also recommended picking up the hard ground tent pegs from the store which cost just 99p a pack to make sure your tent stays where you put it.

Last but not least, she urged everyone to buy some single se coffee filters.

Stella added: “The next thing is my absolute camping godsender and it’s these coffee filters.

“I’m a bit of a coffee snob and let me tell you, these in the morning, absolutely stunning. It’s about as going to get to grinding the beans yourself on a campsite.”

You can buy the Cup Filters Italian Style Coffee from M&S, it includes 10 single use filters filled with coffee for just £4.25.

The video went viral on her TikTok account @stellasoloadventures with over 73k views and 4,200 likes.

People were quick to thank her in the comments for her tips.
