NINETIES sketch comedy The Fast Show has been given trigger warnings by the BBC — including for one of its infamous Suit You Sir scenes.
The Corporation has flagged up two episodes of Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson’s classic series on iPlayer for using “discriminatory language”.
One is for episode five of series three, which aired in December 1997.
It is most likely for a sketch featuring the outspoken tailors asking a customer if they would like to have sex with a “she-male”, with the customer then declaring: “Come on you tr*nnies!”
Episode one of the second series, from February 1996, also has a warning.
That is likely due to a scene featuring the Middle Aged Guys who declare two women who rebuff their advances “lesbians”.
The BBC does not indicate which scenes their trigger warnings apply to. But the notes could also be for the beloved Chanel 9 News skit — delivered with fake Spanish word including “Scorchio”.
All 25 episodes of the Bafta winning show are on iPlayer.
The trigger warnings come after the BBC also slapped notes on The Office and Only Fools and Horses.
In February, Channel 4 was branded “humourless” for flagging a series of Father Ted episodes on its streaming service.
Regulators also hit Graham Linehan’s Bafta-winning sitcom The IT Crowd with advisories, with one telling sensitive viewers: “This episode was made in 2006 and contains strong, strong/offensive derogatory language and adult humour.”
And ITV has slapped 1970s comedy George & Mildred with a similar caution.

WATFORD midfielder Imran Louza wants to leave the club after a fall-out with the new head coach.

GettyThe midfielder has fallen out with new boss Paulo Pezzolano[/caption]
Owner Gino Pozzo had been hoping to keep hold of the Moroccan international, along with the likes of Giorgi Chakvetadze and Kwadwo Baah, in an attempt to try and challenge for at least a Championship play-off spot.
But a week into the reign of Pezzolano, Louza has told club officials that he is looking at other options.
Louza joined from Nantes in 2021 for £9million but is now worth about £12m.
He signed a new contract in 2023 with his deal running to 2028.
Louza made 33 appearances, scored twice and picked up five assists last season having improved under Cleverley who left the club at the end of the campaign.
Prior to that, Louza had spent half a season out on loan at Lorient and seemed set to leave Watford.
However, after struggling initially last term Louza flourished under Cleverley, even captaining the team.
Following new boss Pezzolano’s arrival at Vicarage Road last month, Sporting Director Gian Luca Nani said: “Paulo has a hugely impressive track record working with young players, which is essential when you look at the age profile of our squad.

“He has had success at virtually every club, including league titles and promotions, but it is his work on the training ground that impressed the most when we undertook our research.
“He has innovative ideas and processes which he transmits passionately to the players.
“We believe Paulo is the leader we need as we refocus ahead of the new season.
“He is fully aware of our ambitions and determination to push for promotion and embraces that challenge.”

MAX VERSTAPPEN would rather be changing nappies at home than wearing a tuxedo on the red carpet.
They certainly don’t make ‘em like four-time world champion Verstappen anymore, who has been as real as they get this season in the world’s most luxurious sport.
APMax Verstappen ditched the F1 movie premiere to be with his family[/caption]
GettyVerstappen recently welcomed a baby girl with his partner, Kelly Piquet[/caption]
GettyLewis Hamilton was among the superstars at the European premiere in London[/caption]
The Dutchman has swerved two red carpets for Lewis Hamilton’s new Hollywood movie, starring Brad Pitt, and has not even watched the film yet.
He would rather be on dad duties with his two-month old baby Lily, enduring sleepless nights and changing nappies which he admits: “Some are more smelly than others”.
Verstappen has also been dipping his toes in other areas of motorsport, like testing a GT3 in Spa during the first F1 movie premiere in New York as his patience continues to wear thin in F1.
He is focused on his growing family of girlfriend, Kelly, the daughter of former F1 world champion Nelson Piquet, their daughter Lily and his step daughter Penelope, who are based in Monaco.
Verstappen, at the Red Bull Ring ahead of his team’s home race in Austria, told SunSport: “Being authentic is not something I have to try and focus on. It’s just who I am.
“I don’t like to be on the red carpet and dress up in a suit. I don’t like to interact with people that I don’t really know, and have a fake smile and fake chat. It’s horrible, I just don’t enjoy it.
“I prefer to hang out with my friends and spend time with my little family. I also have a lot of other projects going on outside of F1.
“So any extra work like red carpets is not what I want to do. I’m at a stage of my career where I’ve achieved so much professionally.
CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS
“I’m just focusing outside of it now, like my big passions to make life more enjoyable and not just being performance driven.”
Verstappen is fiercely private when it comes to his family but when asked about his being a girl dad, he added: “It’s super cute. I’m trying to spend as much time making it all work.
InstagramVerstappen has been cherishing time with his daughter, Lily[/caption]
“With the nappies, some are more smelly than others!”
Verstappen rose to fame as something of a villain due to Netflix’s hit docu-series Drive to Survive.
There is also a dark side there, which was on show at the Spanish Grand Prix three-weeks ago when he rammed into George Russell to leave him one point away from a race ban.
But he has won over more hearts than ever in recent years, being unapologetically himself and unafraid to stand up to the sport’s governing body, the FIA, and its controversial president Mohammed Ben Sulayem.
He even won over his old rival Hamilton when he was ordered to do community service for dropping an F-bomb in an FIA press conference last year.
He has remained tight-lipped in press conferences this season, but his silence has spoken volumes for the dissatisfaction from most drivers towards the FIA’s rules.
He said: “I think it’s a bit of a Dutch thing. I’m straightforward. I’m the same on track. I say the same in the paddock as I do with my friends. It’s important to be honest.
“When I’m not happy with something I say it, I let people know, that approach works really well for me.”
There has been constant speculation surrounding Verstappen’s future with him growing increasingly exasperated with the FIA and the slog of marketing requirements for drivers.
After all he is the centrepiece of a sport stacked with millionaires flashing their cash, designer outfits and superyachts – but Verstappen just loves to burn rubber.
The SunVerstappen spoke to SunSport’s Isabelle Barker this week[/caption]
The Dutchman would rather avoid the spotlight entirely, so much so that he recently used a fake name Franz Hermann to secretly test a Ferrari at the Nurburgring where he smashed a lap record.
Verstappen’s next goal is securing a Nordschleife permit, a special racing license, to compete in events at the Nurburgring, including the Nurburgring 24 Hours, rather than chasing records in F1.
There has been talk of Verstappen taking a year off in 2026 and he says it is outside ventures like the Nurburgring appearance that are keeping him in F1, for now.
He added: “The fake name was because I wouldn’t be on the entry list. People would have known way far in advance and there would be way more people there.
“What I’m doing outside F1 makes me stay around a bit longer in F1. I’m trying to make it work and keep it fun.
“I want to get my license (Nordschleife permit), so I need to do a race in a slower car so I’m planning on that.
“When you do things outside of F1, it’s more relaxed, which doesn’t mean it’s less professional and my desire to win is the same. It’s something I really enjoy exploring.
“It’s important to enjoy my time. Time passes so quickly and I want to look back and be around for my family.”

“When’s their birthdays? Let me Google it. Or do you know?”
She then started browsing the internet on her phone to remind herself when her kids were born.
She wrote: “Happy birthday my real, gorgeous, baby girl. Our bond is unbreakable, you’re my absolute mini me. I love you so much. You complete my life and all your dreams are coming true.

THE family of slain James ‘Jake’ Berney have set up a fundraiser to cover his funeral costs after he was stabbed to death.
The GoFundMe says: “Jake was known for his kind heart and willingness to help others, even during his own struggles.

“He left a mark on many lives, and now his family needs support.”
Gardai continued their hunt for the teenage suspect today.
The 53-year-old was knifed in the chest and back in Balgaddy, west Dublin, on Wednesday night.
Detectives believe the dad of six was attacked by a young man who initially turned up on his doorstep on Foxdene Drive demanding cash.
They believe the teen thug later returned armed with a knife, before forcing his way into the house and killing the painter.
Relatives set up a GoFundMe in a bid to cover the costs of his funeral, which fall to Mr Berney’s elderly dad, who he lived with.
His remains are set to be returned to the devastated family after a post-mortem took place.
A friend of one of Mr Berney’s daughters launched the fundraiser and wrote: “Hi all I’m sharing this GoFundMe on behalf of Jake’s family, following his sudden tragic and heartbreaking passing.
“The financial burden of Jake’s funeral now rests on his elderly father, in his late 80s.
“At a time when he should be surrounded by peace and support, he is instead facing the unimaginable pain and cost of laying his son to rest.”
‘DEVASTATING TIME’
The message adds: “If you’re able to contribute, any amount would be deeply appreciated and would ease the weight on his father’s shoulders during this devastating time.”
It raised almost €2,000 today — half of the €4,000 goal.
Mr Berney’s house remained sealed off today as plain clothes gardai conducted a search of it following the Technical Bureau’s examination of the scene.
Officers also conducted a wider trawl of a grass area at the side of the property and of hedges nearby, while uniformed cops conducted door-to-door inquiries.
Flowers were also left at the scene in his memory.
GARDA PROBE
The suspect in the case is a young man in his late teens who lives in the local area, but is not related to the victim.
He is known to Gardai but when the Armed Support Unit raided his pad after the brutal killing, he was nowhere to be seen and has since gone to ground.
A source told The Irish Sun: “Gardai identified a suspect in this case in the very early stages and they would have had previous interactions with him.
“The search for him is ongoing, but a huge amount of working is also being carried out as part of this investigation.”
Locals all spoke very highly of Mr Berney, a talented painter, decorator and odd jobs man, and have been shattered by his loss.
One posted online: “A gentle soul and all round nice guy with a harmless nature.
“My condolences to his family and many friends, may he rest in eternal peace.”
Another said: “Can’t get him off my mind. God help his poor da.” Cops appealed for witnesses, or anyone with video footage, to call Lucan Garda Station, 01 666 7300.

CELEBRITY SAS: Who Dares Wins bosses have signed up a huge British TikTok star with 4 million followers – despite backlash over past comments in an ‘ableism’ row.
Comedian Jack Joseph, 25, is set to take part in the hit Channel 4 show, which puts celebs through gruelling military-style challenges.
Instagram/@jackjos3phCelebruty SAS bosses have signed up TikTok star Jack Joseph for the next series[/caption]
A source said: “Channel 4 is keen to attract a younger audience and a content creator like Jack has a huge following with that demographic.
“But his past comments on disability were controversial and it’s not a good look for a station that prides itself on inclusivity.”
Jack faced criticism after posting a comedic sketch where he mimicked someone using a wheelchair – using stereotyped behavior and language that disabled viewers and advocates described as offensive.
TikTok users flagged it as ableist, accusing him of mocking disabilities rather than satirizing broader issue.
The backlash prompted conversations and response videos from disability advocates on the platform.
While Jack appears to have deleted the post, it didn’t come with a public apology or explanation – leaving fans unsatisfied.
Recently, TikTok’s search results show his name still trending with phrases like “Jack Joseph apology ableism” and “Jack Joseph ableism reaction,” suggesting that viewers are still calling for clarity or accountability.
A show insider said: “Last series, there was a bit of a cash crisis at Channel 4 so the series shunned exotic locales and filmed in Wales.
“Bosses made it work but it felt like it wasn’t on as big a scale as when they have filmed in foreign climes, so for the next series, execs are blowing the budget and pushing the boat out to film in Marrakech instead.
“It’s more expensive but will look amazing on camera.”
The Sun has contacted Channel 4 for comment.

“We met a lovely woman called Katie who was more than happy to do it for us.”
Others stepped in to help with a photographer shooting the couple’s ceremony, and the hair station at the festival helping with last minute do’s.

Despite this, he remains invested in the progress of his back garden, tasking wife Jessica with his maintenance.
Such has been his interest that he shared a screengrab from a surveillance camera of the mum-of-three tending to plants on her birthday.
Jess responded to this by remarking how “Pierre gives no days off from gardening“.
She subsequently posted a photo of a Facetime call with O’Mahony, although she suggested it was not between husband and wife.
Jess quipped: “Pierre Facetiming his tomatoes”.
It is a good thing that the mum-of-three has been helping out with the garden while her husband has been away considering the extensive work he recently finished on it.
The dad-of-three took to Instagram to outline an extensive job he had been conducting in recent weeks.
Alongside a video of the work being done, O’Mahony revealed that it had required 15 bags of manure and three TONNES of mulch.
He explained: “I’ve been planning to revamp the herbaceous planting in all 3 beds over the last few years.
“I’m happy with the structural planting now but I knew the flowering had a big refresh in it.
“Over a few weeks recently we removed all bulbs, perennial plants, plants that I had moved from pots into beds and weeds.
“We then drew up a small list of plants that we repeated in groups along the boarders.
“2 of the smaller beds are quite shaded so the planting in them is different to the long boarder witch is mostly full sun.
“We planted nearly 300 perennials and some grasses throughout the 3 beds.
“Then added lots of garden compost and 15 bags of well rotted manure followed by 3 tonne bags of mulch.
“I think what we’ve come up with now is a longer flowering period that should have interest from Spring to Autumn.
“Plan is now to do a full planting of bulbs come winter time but as of now I’m delighted with the way it’s turning out.

EU chiefs may not be able to agree a deal on Donald Trump’s tariffs ahead of the looming July 9 deadline.
European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen admitted bloc members were ready for an agreement.
The Trump Administration suggested the date wasn’t set in stoneANDREW CABALLERO-REYNOLDS/AFP via Getty ImagesEU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said all options remain on the tableDursun Aydemir/Anadolu via Getty Images
But she conceded it may not be possible before taxes on all European goods and services kick in next month.
Speaking after an EU summit, Von der Leyen said: “Our message today is clear — we are ready for a deal.
“At the same time, we are preparing for the possibility that no satisfactory agreement is reached.
“We will defend the European interest as needed. In short, all options remain on the table.”
However, shortly after the EU boss expressed her fear an agreement may not be possible in time, the Trump Administration suggested the date wasn’t set in stone
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said: “Perhaps it could be extended, but that’s a decision for the president to make. The deadline is not critical.”
Ms Leavitt also said that the president could “simply provide these countries with a deal if they refuse to make us one by the deadline”.
She added that Mr Trump can “pick a reciprocal tariff rate that he believes is advantageous” for the US.
Trump has threatened to impose crippling tariffs on all EU goods from July 9 unless the two sides reach a deal, repeatedly accusing the EU of “ripping off” the US.
Most EU goods already face a 10 per cent tariff, with levies of 25 per cent on cars and car parts and 50 per cent on steel and aluminium.
Despite the tariffs deal fears, most EU leaders have stressed the importance of reaching an agreement, while also vowing to defend European interests if necessary.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin said: “Getting a deal is important for certainty so that we know the landscape ahead of us and that industry knows the landscape ahead of it, so that we can protect jobs — our number one priority.”
He added: “There is no painless tariff war. Obviously, we have made a response to any retaliatory list.
“Europe has to be united going into these negotiations, but I detect an atmosphere that’s focused on getting a deal, both on the US side and on the EU side.”
