The New Look number could also be dressed up with heels and chunky gold jewellery for special occasions.

High-street shoppers have been raving about the midi dress online, and it’s received an impressive 4.7-out-of-5 star rating.

One reviewer wrote: “This feels so much more expensive than it is – lovely natural fibre blend and pockets too!

“It’s nice to have a properly long dress as I find they often hit at an unflattering point, but this looks very elegant.

“I genuinely might get another one because I like it so much.”

New Look’s £27 dress isn’t the only affordable fashion find catching shoppers’ attention.

Last month, Sainsbury’s released a summer dress that flatters mum tum, and it’s still available in select sizes (despite being hugely popular online).

The dress comes in butter yellow (the season’s hottest colour!), and supermarket shoppers have been gushing over the £28 find.

Both the New Look and Sainsbury’s dresses would also be great choices for those shopping for an outfit for Wimbledon, as both can be dressed up or down.

How to find the perfect DD+ dress for summer

Looking for the perfect summer dress to fit your bigger bust? Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale has the perfect solution.

Looking for the perfect summer dress to fit your bigger bust? Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale has the perfect solution.

Finding a dress that flatters your bigger bust can be hard, often dresses can leave your bra showing, squash your bust and just be ill fitting in general.

However, there are a few things you can look out for that will make dress shopping easier.

A V-neck is a really flattering neckline as it gives your chest some more space, however, don’t discount a square neck also, not only is this a trendy neckline, but will also give your bust the room it needs.

Empire line fits are also super flattering, you just need to make sure they fall underneath the bottom of your bra, that way your bust will sit nicely before the rest of the dress skims your body.

Wrap style dresses are also a great option but just make sure to look for an added popper detail, so that you don’t have to use a safety pin to hold the dress in place and stop your bra from showing.

Extra shirring detail on the back will also give the dress more room for stretch around your chest.

And if you’re looking for a backless dress then make sure there is one with a tie detail at the back that means you can still wear a bra.

If all that sounds like something you’re interested in then here at Fabulous we have created a collection specifically designed for DD+ boobs that ticks all of these boxes.

Love Island viewers left reeling as Irish couple Conor & Meghan spend ‘sneaky’ night in hideaway

LOVE Island viewers have all been left reeling after Conor and Meghan shared a night in the hideaway.

The dramatic twist unfolded after they shared two kisses on the terrace behind an unsuspecting Tommy Bradley’s back, sparking outrage among fans.

After returning to the Villa from The Sleepover, Emily wanted to clear the air with Conor so they headed to the Snug for a chat.

Emily, who was coupled up with Conor when she left the main villa for The Sleepover, decided not to re-couple with a new bombshell as she decided her connection with Conor was stronger.

However, back at the main villa Conor and Meghan were getting to know each other with a steamy kiss.

Conor decided to tell Emily about his kiss with Meghan on the terrace.

In response to the kiss, Emily responded: “That’s quite intense… I thought Meghan was more into Tommy to the point where she wouldn’t have done that.”

Conor then openly admitted: “My head has been with her [Meghan].”

Emily replied: “I wouldn’t have cared about the kiss, but the words, ‘While you were away my head was with her’, just pushes me out of the equation.”

Later that evening, Conor informed Emily that he and Meghan would be spending the night in the Hideaway.

After he dropped the news, in floods of tears, Emily told Tommy and Harry: “I don’t expect anything from him, but from her, I would’ve expected more.”

In the hideaway, Meghan and Conor shared a steamy kiss.

Conor even gave Meghan his bracelet in a bold romantic move.

But, fans on social media were not happy with the way Conor and Meghan went about their business.

Amy wrote on X: “Meghan’s gonna get done so dirty on movie night her getting giddy over Conor saying he’d chose her and enjoying Tommy being upset.”

Hannah said: “Conor has pulled Emily to rub it in her face that he spent the night with Meghan? Fully grown man btw.”

Belle added: “Conor telling Meghan he would pick her in a re-coupling but saying to Emily that she is his number one??”

Don remarked: “Is Meghan ok?”

Liverpool playing waiting game for ‘dream’ transfer signing Isak and could return for Newcastle star after key deadline

LIVERPOOL are willing to play a waiting game to land dream striker Alexander Isak after a key pre-season deadline.

Top target Isak, 25, is proving difficult to lure away from Newcastle, with the Toon Army prepared to make him the highest-paid player in the club’s 132-year history.

After securing Champions League football next season, Eddie Howe sees Isak as a crucial part of his project as he looks to make Newcastle a dominant force in English football.

Howe has spoken openly about Newcastle tying Isak down to a new mega contract, with his current deal worth £120,000-a-week until June 2028.

But fresh talks have yet to materialise and this has given rival clubs, including Arsenal, hope they can pull off a remarkable swoop.

Liverpool Echo correspondent Paul Gorst has reported that Anfield sporting director Richard Hughes is prepared to keep tabs on the situation over the summer, especially waiting until after Profit and Sustainability Regulations reset on June 30.

This is because the end of June marks the end of the financial year for most clubs, and meeting PSR requirements (specifically, not exceeding a £105m loss over a three-year period) is crucial to avoid potential points deductions

Isak was lethal once again last season, netting 27 goals in 42 games across all competitions, including 23 in the Premier League.

He played a key role, scoring a goal in the Carabao Cup final win over Liverpool as Newcastle ended their 70-year trophy drought, while also qualifying for the Champions League via a fifth-placed Prem finish.

Newcastle broke their transfer record by spending £63million on Isak in August 2022 and they have no intention of losing him anytime soon.

But Liverpool seem prepared to break a British transfer record to prise the Sweden international away from St James’ Park, with Newcastle slapping a £150million price tag on the 25-year-old.

The Premier League champions are in the market for a new No 9 as Darwin Nunez closes in on an exit to Napoli after failing to impress boss Arne Slot.

If Liverpool miss out on Isak, then they could pursue Hugo Ekitike or Joao Pedro instead, with the club also registering an interest in Arsenal and Manchester United target Viktor Gyokeres.

Anfield chiefs have already splashed out more than £200million over the last month since the season ended, with Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez their latest signing.

Kerkez joins Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong as the next major arrival on Merseyside this summer.

Alexander Isak's Newcastle United 2024-25 season statistics.

Along with goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, whose transfer is reportedly set to be included in this summer‘s accounts despite being sealed last year, Liverpool‘s summer spending has hit a whopping £216MILLION already.

Having conducted the bulk of their transfer work more than a fortnight before the players return for pre-season training, sporting director Hughes and Slot are relaxed about the situation around Isak.

I looked ‘Butcher of Suburbia’ in the eye after he slaughtered landlady & chopped up body…how Moonpig card snared him

IT was a cold-hearted murder that shocked the sleepy village of Fairfield in Bedfordshire to its very core.

A much-loved local pensioner, murdered, dismembered and callously discarded in public bins by the person she’d come to think of as family.

Scott Paterson. Release date November 4 2024. A man who confessed to killing his elderly landlady before dismembering her and hiding her remains at a storage unit has been sentenced to life in prison. Scott Paterson, 45, had lived as a tenant in Annette Smith’s home for several years before he began caring for her while she was recovering from a stroke. He suffocated the 74-year-old on November 8 last year, saying the demands of her care caused him to ‘snap’ at the home in in Stotfold, Beds. He dismembered her body and hid the remains at a storage unit in Letchworth.

Annette Smith, 74, had lived with Scott Paterson, 45, for 11 years – she’d invited him to stay with her for free in 2012 in exchange for running errands and keeping her company, after he split from his ex and sold their home.

Annette, who’d split from her husband 14 years previously, and Paterson had become best friends, even holidaying together, hosting dinner parties and occasionally sharing a bed.

But when she had a stroke in 2018, callous Paterson grew tired of caring for her, and on November 8, 2023, he suffocated her with a pillow while she slept.

Sickeningly Paterson – who had previously worked as a butcher – then dismembered her body using a saw and kitchen knife, before going to great lengths to cover his tracks.

He was eventually snared when police tracked Moonpig cards he’d been sending while posing as Annette from the home they shared – despite telling her friends and family she’d gone away.

The harrowing case is examined in the new series of 24 Hours in Police Custody, which features the chilling moment he finally confesses to his sinister crime.

Speaking to The Sun, DCI Katie Dounias, who led the murder investigation, said there were alarmingly few red flags when police first interviewed Paterson in the wake of Annette’s disappearance.

“He came across as a very meek and mild person,” she said, adding he had no previous convictions.

“There was nothing that immediately rang alarm bells with him… nobody had a bad word to say about him or against him.”

She added: “They [Paterson and Annette] had a really good relationship by all accounts. They were best friends, which just makes it all the more harrowing, really, that he went on to do what he did.”

In the show Annette’s stepson, Jason, revealed his shock at her brutal murder at the hands of someone he thought loved her.

Jason said: “I trusted him so much. He is a manipulative murderer and someone that knew what he was doing.

“There is no forgiveness for what he has done and I hope he rots in prison.”

In the early years of living together Paterson and Annette “got on like a house on fire”, with the latter coming to see her lodger “like a son”.

But following her stroke the dynamic changed and Paterson became her carer, as her mobility issues prevented her from doing basic domestic tasks.

It was Paterson who reported Annette as a missing person, claiming he last saw her climb into a woman’s car with a packed suitcase.

He claimed she told him she’d be gone a few days, but he never saw her again.

Suspicions began to arise when family members realised that despite receiving emails, Moonpig cards and gifts from Annette, they hadn’t seen her for several months.

Police struggled to identify the woman described by Paterson as “white” and “plump-ish but not fat” who he claimed collected Annette, and there was no CCTV or witnesses to support his claim.

Cracks started to show in his story; DCI Dounias said: “Speaking further with friends and family, it became evident that Annette was quite infirm… it just didn’t tally with what Paterson was saying.

“Friends and family started to raise concerns about whether she was capable of getting herself out of bed, packing a suitcase and leaving.”

Detectives traced the IP address of emails and cards allegedly sent by Annette while she was ‘away’ to her address, and a search of the property revealed Annette’s passport and clothing inside.

I trusted Paterson so much. He is a manipulative murderer and someone that knew what he was doing

JasonAnnette's stepson

Annette’s neighbour Lois recalled how Paterson “really changed in his demeanour” when the missing person investigation ramped up.

She said: “I saw him one day parked outside the tree which was Annette’s space. He’d gone from being this flamboyant extrovert to trying to go unnoticed, if you like.

“He’d put weight on, his hair was longer, he was drinking more, it was almost like there was two sides to him.”

On April 30, 2024, Paterson was arrested, and it didn’t take long before he broke down under interrogation and confessed to the brutal killing.

A chilling moment in the documentary shows the moment Paterson calmly told police how he killed Annette in a premeditated attack.

Prior to killing Annette, Paterson took several weeks off work, claiming he needed an operation to remove a tumour. Instead he was plotting the sinister murder.

Recalling the moment he placed a pillow over her face, Paterson said: “I was weirdly calm, had the TV on. I think because I’d been thinking about it for quite a few weeks it was just something that had played over in my mind.

“So it was almost like I was ready when the time seemed right.

“I went downstairs after Annette had fallen asleep and I put a pillow over her face until she stopped breathing and I left her in bed for the night.”

Chilling confession

11/09/2024 - LUTON - A man has pleaded guilty to murdering a 74-year-old woman and hiding her body in a storage locker. Scott Paterson, 44, from Hardy Way in Fairfield Park, Bedfordshire, was arrested on suspicion of murdering Annette Smith, from Fairfield Hall, near Stotfold, Bedfordshire. Patterson admitted to killing Ms Smith, who he lodged with, dismembering her and hiding the remains in a storage unit in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. At Luton Crown Court Paterson pleaded guilty, his sentencing has been set for the week commencing 4 November. Paterson appeared via video link from Bedford Prison at Luton Crown Court, speaking only to confirm his name and his guilty plea. Ms Smith allegedly went missing from her home last November, even though she had become bed-bound by illness. Paterson told their neighbours she had gone to stay with a friend. Police said he also used her email account to send Christmas messages and Moonpig cards to family and friends to pretend that she was still alive. Paterson even reported to police that she had left their home with an unknown woman in an attempt to cover up his crime. The next morning Paterson moved Annette to the under stairs cupboard, where he left her for “quite some time”.

When asked by police where Annette is, Paterson chillingly replied: “There isn’t a full body.”

Paterson told how after several weeks he took a knife and a hacksaw and removed Annette’s feet, followed by her hands, admitting that was particularly strange because it was like “holding hands with Annette”.

Having worked in a butchers, Paterson claimed he had seen “the way they do it”, along with inspiration from horror films.

The only time the criminal became emotional was when he described decapitating Annette’s head.

There isn’t a full body

Scott Paterson

Over several weeks Paterson chopped Annette into 10 pieces and discarded them in plastic bags in public bins around Letchworth.

He then confessed that he crammed her torso into a suitcase and stashing it in his storage unit.

He claimed living with her had “become difficult” after her stroke because she was constantly calling him for help.

DCI Dounias recalled how he’d come “to the end of his tether”, adding: “He describes her as being quite demanding and he’d just had enough.

“Whether that is the full truth, I can’t really say, and it may be something that we never know.

“I think what I would say is that he seems to be quite a complex character. There almost seems to be various different sides to him.

“So it’s difficult to know whether he was genuinely remorseful of what he did, or whether the remorse was because he was found out, or because of the relief. It’s really difficult to read his reactions.”

It later emerged Paterson had been in £30,000 of credit card debt, and had stolen Annette’s jewellery before selling it online for £5,000.

This added to the hypothesis of a financial motive, according to DCI Dounias.

Sinister pause

When asked by police if he had killed before, Paterson paused – something that “concerned” DCI Dounias.

“We did pick up on that pause… it was a little bit of a surprise and a concern, shall we say,” she said.

“So we did make some inquiries into whether there could have been any previous history… but we didn’t uncover anything that we could certainly offer any proof for.”

Paterson was sentenced to a minimum term of 20 years’ imprisonment on November 4, 2024.

At sentencing Judge Justice Murray said: “You had been contemplating killing Annette Smith before you had finally killed her.

“This shows you had been thinking about and planning her death for some time. After you killed Annette Smith, you told elaborate lies.”

Despite an extensive search, Annette’s entire body was never found.

DCI Dounias admitted she was “pleased” with the sentence, adding: “For him to receive 20 years, even though he pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity, I think is quite telling of the magnitude of what he did to Annette.”

Mum-to-be Doireann Garrihy stuns in glowing snap as she shows off growing baby bump in pregnancy update

RTE star Doireann Garrihy has given fans a pregnancy update as she posed for a glowing snap.

The 2FM Drivetime host, 33, recently announced she’s expecting her first baby with husband Mark Mehigan.

Since then, Doireann has been keeping followers in the loop with regular updates on her pregnancy journey.

The mum-to-be took to Instagram today to post a sweet mirror snap, giving fans another peek at her growing bump.

The popular presenter was all smiles as she posed proudly with her hand resting on her stomach.

Doireann kept things casual wearing black shorts and a simple black tee.

The excited star wrote in her caption: “Lots of bedtime kicks moving into morning time too!”

Doireann recently told how she was almost “outed” before announcing her pregnancy.

On a recent episode of her hit podcast, Doireann & Friends, the radio star and her sister, Ailbhe Garrihy discussed their experience with pregnancy.

Ailbhe then asked Doireann to share some of the “crazy” stories she’d never told her – before revealing that she was pregnant.

The Dancing With The Stars host explained: “When I hadn’t announced I was pregnant, one person kept writing to me on Instagram saying ‘I think you have news for your followers’.”

Ailbhe sighed and said: “Ugh that is so annoying.”

Doireann continued: “So when I got that message my brain went into overdrive and I just thought, ‘I’ve been seen in the hospital, I look pregnant, who have a I said it to that has maybe said to someone else?’.

“And this wasn’t like a faceless account, it was a totally normal woman in her 40s.”

Ailbhe remarked: “I just don’t know what goes through people’s minds to send that.”

The TV star agreed: “Exactly, this is the thing. You’ve had experiences like this before too, when people have been like, ‘Oh yeah I knew’, and you have no idea how they knew or found out.

NEAR MISS

“Surely women need to understand to just say nothing.”

Ailbhe added: “But even if you were spotted in the hospital, you could have been in there for multiple reasons.”

Doireann responded: “That is what I don’t get, there are many reasons why a woman might find themselves in a maternity hospital, it doesn’t automatically mean you are expecting.”

The popular presenter admitted that she had always tried to be “so aware” of the fact that she might bump into someone she knows while getting a scan.

She said: “You just have to act like you don’t see them and if you do see them just say, ‘How’s it going, how are you?’, but never ask why they are there.

“It should be a part of girl code.”

How many chances does Oisin Murphy need? The drink driving charge is the latest bleak chapter in a disheartening story

HOW many chances does Oisin Murphy need?

Of course, I must caveat this entire column by saying he has not been found guilty, or admitted guilt, to the Thames Valley Police charges of drink driving and failing to provide a roadside breath test.

Oisin Murphy has been charged with drink driving
Getty

He will appear in court next week, and if he does plead guilty he will lose his drivers’ licence and could, in theory, face more serious punishment. We will have to wait and see how it plays out.

But his career has been chequered, to say the least.

Let’s first consider the positives — Murphy is a tremendous talent.

He was one of those jockeys who always looked destined for the top while he was an apprentice, and he shot to prominence with a four-timer on Ayr Gold Cup day as an 18-year-old.

He was given the opportunities and took them, ending up as stable No1 to Andrew Balding and as retained jock for Qatar Racing.

Murphy, 29, is aware of his obligations as one of our leading jockeys to engage with the public, and he does it very well on social media.

His ability was on full show at Royal Ascot, when he rode five winners and was especially lethal over the straight track.

But it was during the Royal meeting that a letter dropped onto his doormat from the Crown Prosecution Service saying they were charging him, and so began the latest bleak chapter of one of racing’s most disheartening storylines.

It is quite clear there is another — how can I put it — less polished side to Murphy than the one you see in public. I’ve experienced it first hand over the years.

Of course it is sad to see a person struggle with an addiction to alcohol — I know what it’s like to battle addiction — but if it transpires he had been drinking and got behind the wheel of a car, it’s hard to comprehend.

Murphy needs help as he quite clearly isn’t ready to help himself.

He has the world at his feet, but it appears he can’t stop pushing the self-destruct button.

And too many people around him have covered for him and brushed his issues under the carpet. And they keep surfacing again and again.

First, he was banned for three months in 2020 for testing positive for cocaine. He said he was contaminated after having sex with a girl who had taken the drug, so he was given a lenient sentence.

Then issues with the bottle began to surface.

He failed multiple breath tests and — as exclusively revealed in Sunracing on 2021 Qipco Champions’ Day — was involved in an ugly scrap outside a boozer in Newmarket.

This was after he had completely disregarded Covid-19 regulations to travel to Mykonos, Greece, in the September of 2020, which, at that time, was on the government’s ‘red list’.

He lied to the BHA about where he had been, returned to the UK and went straight back into the weighing room without isolating himself, potentially putting his colleagues at risk of infection.

He was banned for 14 months, during which time he did a lot of media work and spoke about his problems with drink, how he had started attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and would never touch the stuff again.

So when he was re-granted his licence, the BHA attached strict conditions, including increased breath testing and a requirement for Murphy ‘to remain sober’.

After all, it was not that long ago that Graham Gibbons was blamed for a pile-up at Kempton which left Freddie Tylicki in a wheelchair, and in court it was alleged his breath smelled of alcohol on the day. In racing, riding while even slightly impaired is incredibly dangerous.

More recently, eyebrows were raised when Murphy failed to turn up at Kempton Park for scheduled alcohol breath testing because, allegedly, he was suffering from especially painful haemorrhoids which required A&E attention.

He was back in the saddle shortly after and, as far as I’m aware, the old Chalfont St Giles haven’t bothered him to the same extent before or since the missed test.

And now he has been involved in a car crash while allegedly over the limit with a passenger in the car — there has been a theme of apparent disregard for the safety of others which is unacceptable.

Is it just ‘demons’? Or, which is an uncomfortable question to pose, does he just not care?

If he is found or pleads guilty on Thursday, the BHA will have no option but to immediately suspend his riding licence in my view.

Every time Murphy has done something wrong, his actions have been excused one way or another. How many more chances does he need?

Brentford’s new boss Keith Andrews is Guinness-loving former Premier League star who suffers no fools

KEITH ANDREWS is a people’s person who loves a pint of Guinness and a night out.

But when comes down to business, the new Brentford boss suffers no fools and his attention to detail is off the charts.

That is the view of two of his ex-team-mates who have also observed his coaching abilities first hand.

Andrews, 44, is taking over from Thomas Frank at Bees after being promoted from set-piece coach.

David Dunn played alongside him in Blackburn’s midfield in the Premier League while Dean Lewington was a team-mate at MK Dons and later coached there by him too.

And both say Andrews is far from a risky appointment despite never having been a manager – let alone in the top flight.

Former England international Dunn, 45, told SunSport: “I read and hear this stuff that he was just their set-piece coach. But he’s been doing much more than that.

“I’ve spent a lot of time with Brentford recently.

“And I’ve got to know the guys there inside out. They’ve got everything covered.

“They’ve spent so much on research and development, finding small fine margins to give them an edge. It’s a brilliant club.

“Keith did the set-piece coach role brilliantly. Look at the amount of goals they scored and how few they conceded from set-pieces.

“But he was also helping the guys in lots of other areas too. He’s been coaching for years and along with his playing career fully understands all aspects of the game.”

The ex-midfielder spent three seasons in the top flight, playing also under Sam Allardyce and Steve Kean.

Dunn added: “His leadership qualities and work ethic were excellent and he led by example.

“He was insightful and thoughtful in his views about the game and never afraid to give his opinion. I’m not surprised he’s gone on to do well in coaching.”

MK Dons legend Lewington won promotion with Andrews in 2008 as well as winning the EFL Trophy at Wembley – with Andrews scoring in the 2-0 victory over Grimsby at Wembley.

Lewington, who retired this summer at the age of 41 after making an incredible 916 appearances for the club, said: “Keith was our talisman and captain that season.

“In all honesty he was above our level. He was a Championship-standard player who went on to play in the Prem.

“He just oozed leadership and professionalism — and speaks concisely and with such great authority.

“Keith is also passionate and demands high and immaculate standards.

“We used to enjoy some nights out and he loved a beer, especially Guinness, but when it was time to work he was ultra professional.

“When he came back as a coach under Karl Robinson everything had to be perfect. Even the smallest detail was important to him.

“And he isn’t a person who suffers fools gladly. You had to be with him.

“Hopefully Keith will be another successful story for Brentford.”

This is echoed by Dunn, who points to the fact that Frank led the club into the Prem after being promoted from within to replace Dean Smith.

And he said: “Often people say it’s a risk to appoint from within. Blackburn promoted Ray Harford to replace Kenny Dalglish and that didn’t work out.

“But there are equally examples where it did work, no better than the one set by Brentford with Frank.

“Brentford might well be losing quite a few big players this summer and it will be down to their excellent recruitment team there to get the right players in.

“Yet, knowing Keith and his abilities, he has all the attribute to be a success. He knows what it takes and is a great fit.”

Unassuming tower block was seen by millions on beloved noughties sitcom – but do YOU recognise it now?

THIS seemingly plain tower block appeared in a hit noughties sitcom – but could you recognise it now?

The flats featured in a much-loved British TV show, although it might look a little different to how you remember it.

Zodiac House has been renovated and now boasts 73 modern flats[/caption]

Zodiac House, located in London, Croydon, has been fully refurbished into 73 homes.

They have been taken on by the local authority and are set to be used as temporary accommodation for those facing homelessness.

But one of the flats was once home to Mark and Jeremy, in Peep Show.

The duo, played by David Mitchell and Robert Webb, are remembered for their chaotic shenanigans inside the London property, alongside Matt King or ‘Super Hans’.

New tenants could retrace Jez and Mark’s steps through the two-bedroom home and share conversations in the living room while overlooking “majestic views”.

One flat hit the market last year, and it boasted an integrated, modern kitchen – a step up from the iconic dingy blue one the Peep Show roommates burnt toast in.

The family bathroom was similarly been renovated and a long way from the bathtub Jeremy found himself sleeping in many times.

The listing, posted by estate agents Black + Blanc, Bromley on Rightmove read: “This an excellent opportunity to purchase a recently fully refurbished and renovated two-bedroom apartment in the iconic Zodiac Court.

“The property is an ideal purchase for an individual looking to get onto the property ladder as a first time buyer or a buy to let investor looking to obtain an attractive rental yield.”

“The owners have been able to refurbish and polish the original parquet flooring, which adds to the character of the property.

“The décor is light and airy and will allow a buyer to use their imagination to put their stamp on it.”

Measuring 792 square feet, the property has two generously sized bedrooms with ample storage in the master and integrated storage in the second.

“The apartment is installed with central gas heating, and each room has large gas central heating radiators.

“The apartment is integrated with double-glazed windows,” the listing added.

It was on offer for £300,000 and properties in Croydon had an overall average price of £438,561 over the last year according to Rightmove.

They are now going to be used as temporary accommodation by Croydon Council[/caption]

Now, the council have since snapped up Zodiac House as part of their initiative to combat homelessness.

The flats will provide a safe space for those waiting for long-term housing.

It will also see Croydon Council hit its targets for Homelessness Duty under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

There’s a mix of two and three-bedroom flats, like the one described above, available.

They will all come furnished with the essentials, and there’s a 24-hour concierge.

Funds are being sourced from the Right to Buy scheme, Local Authority Housing Grants, and borrowing.

Jason Perry, Executive Mayor of Croydon, said: “This is another step in addressing the significant homelessness challenges we face.

“The increased demand for services and shortage of accommodation means we have to look at doing things differently, and the purchase of Zodiac House is a good example of this.

“The scheme will give us 73 residential units to support residents facing homelessness.

“This will improve the Council’s supply of accommodation and reduce spending on expensive temporary arrangements, as well as providing safe and secure homes for our residents.”

This comes as the house that featured in a hugely popular BBC sitcom from the 90s has gone on the market with a £330,000 price tag – but can you name the show?

As a clue, the main character’s catchphrase was “I don’t believe it.”

The property seen in the classic British comedy One Foot in the Grave was the home of the perpetually grumpy character Victor Meldrew and it could be yours for £337,500.

The exterior of the terraced property in Christchurch, Dorset, featured heavily in the 1990s show.

Meanwhile, Rightmove has revealed the most viewed homes so far in 2025 – including a £59 million townhouse, and an ‘historic gem’.

The popular property site has something for everyone, whether you’re looking for your next home, or simply want to have a bit of a snoop.

The pair got on well as friends but lacked any romantic spark and she decided to remain couple with Conor Phillips, despite the Irishman’s growing attraction to Megan Clarke back in the original villa.

As a result, Will was sent home, along with bombshells Caprice and Poppy, neither of whom were picked by villa boys Dejon Williams and Remell Mullings.

Back in the other villa, Shea Mannings was dumped after Helena Ford chose to recouple with new boy Gio Russo.

Now back in the UK, Will shared a selfie on Instagram and wrote: “Just got my phone back.

“First thoughts are I was shafted with my Love Island pictures [laughing emojis].

“Thank you for all the messages. Will go through them next couple of days.”

The departures are continuing to come thick and fast with another two Islanders already out the door.

In scenes that will air tonight, the least popular boy and girl, as voted by the public, were dumped.

While The Sun is not naming the duo to preserve the surprise, fans will be rocked by the departures.

We can reveal the girl is an OG who has been at the centre of plenty of drama this series and will be much missed by all.

Meanwhile, in a further clue, the lad could be considered a ‘cheat’ for his antics in the villa.

A source said: “Couples have been in constant flux this series and there’s a good few that have been accused of ‘cheating’ with secret snogs leading to explosive rows.

“Conor and Megan have just caused chaos with their Hideaway stay over and terrace smooches, while Harry and Helena first got that ball rolling in the first week.

“Remell was trouble in the sleepover too and even Shakira has got up to some illicit snogging.

“It could be anyone so bosses are hoping viewers have fun speculating what’s gone down before the big reveal.”
