TAYLOR Swift fans have become convinced her ex Matty Healy took a veiled swipe at the star while on stage at Glastonbury.
Frontman Matty appeared with his band The 1975 to headline Glastonbury’s main Pyramid Stage on Friday night – something the singer has long-declared a lifelong goal.

SplashMatty and Taylor briefly dated back in 2023 – but it’s believed she wrote an album about him[/caption]
AlamyThe cheeky singer declared himself “a poet” in reference to The Tortured Poets Department[/caption]
GettyThe Tortured Poets Department references a man who “used typewriters, smoked cigarettes and ate chocolate” at her apartment[/caption]
In the band’s only major performance of 2025, they spent a reported four times their fee on a stand-out set design including a stage-length conveyor belt and set pieces.
However, during his set, Matty took a moment to seemingly address the elephant in the room: his short-lived relationship with Taylor Swift.
Ahead of their hit song Chocolate, Matty told the audience: “I want to be sincere for a second with everybody.
“What this moment is making me realise is that, and I’m being sincere, I probably am the best. I’m probably the best songwriter of my generation.
“The best, what do we say… A poet, ladies and gentlemen, is what I am. A generational wordsmith.”
The titular track also refers to the man using a typewriter – which Matty has gone on record to using.
Seeming to confirm he was the man behind the songs, Matty finished his speech on the stage at Glastonbury by “reminding people of his poetry” by going into their song Chocolate.
He further mocked himself and the song’s non-sensical lyrics by having jumbled subtitles play overhead as they played.
Since Matty and Taylor’s split, both have gone to have long-term relationships.
Gabbriette was at the festival, cheering Matty on alongside his mother Denise Welch.
Taylor Swift has been in a relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce since September 2023.

JACK GREALISH’S future is in limbo with clubs scared off by his £300,000-a-week wages.
Everton, Newcastle and Napoli all showed tentative interest in the £100million Manchester City winger, while he has also been linked with Bayern Munich.
GettyJack Grealish’s future is in limbo with clubs scared off by his £300,000-a-week wages.[/caption]
But nothing has materialised for the 29-year-old England ace, who is under contract on £15m a year at City until 2027.
Grealish wanted to keep his options open as the new campaign drew to a close.
And he’s is ready to play the waiting game for as long as possible.
The ex-Aston Villa attacker realises his time at City is over after falling foul of boss Pep Guardiola and has been putting in the hard yards during a holiday in Ibiza.
He looks in fine fettle as he prepares for the upcoming campaign.
Grealish’s stock has fallen to such an extent that he was not included in City’s squad for the Club World Cup in the US.
His motivation is to reach the World Cup nextsummer.
But the megabucks contract he signed after joining from Villa four years ago is hindering his chances of returning to Prem action.
CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS
England boss Thomas Tuchel has told the playmaker he can still be part of his plans but needs regular minutes.
Grealish’s pain at City is Jeremy Doku’s gain and the Belgian winger says faith is the main reason behind his explosive form at the CWC.
Doku, 23, reckons having the trust of Guardiola has helped to set him free and also credits his strong Christian beliefs for giving him the right mindset to perform at his best.
Doku has been inconsistent during his two years at the Etihad since making the £55.5m move from Rennes.
However, he has caught the eye during City’s three-game winning streak in the US, scoring in the 5-2 rout of Juventus on Thursday.
Doku is confident there is more to come. He said: “I feel free and I’m enjoying my football. I can still improve certain aspects.
AlamyGrealish’s pain at City is Jeremy Doku’s gain[/caption]
“But when I play free and with the right mind, with the trust of the coach, you see a better version of me — and you are seeing a glimpse of it.
“It’s more to do with my faith — I just give all the glory to Jesus Christ.”
While Doku has impressed on the left, there have also been promising signs from Brazilian Savinho on the other flank.
And Doku says the pair of them are ready to do some damage.
He said: “Last season we played together but now we are adding more goals and assists to our account.
“That’s what wingers are supposed to do. At this tournament we are doing it, so that’s good.”
Doku now has a recognised senior left-back behind him in new signing Rayan Ait-Nouri — and the early signs are he will benefit from it.
The Belgium ace is enjoying his link-up with ex-Wolves defender Ait-Nouri, saying: “Honestly, it’s a good connection. I’m loving playing with him.”
City have rattled in 13 goals in their first three matches at the Club World Cup, winning the lot to set up a last-16 tie with Al-Hilal in the early hours of Tuesday.
It has led some to declare that Guardiola’s men are back after they failed to win any silverware last season.
But Doku said: “We just look game by game. It was a good game against Juventus and we looked more like how we were before.”

EL CHAPO’S ruthless cartel used a hacker to break into Mexico City’s CCTV system and track down FBI informants — before having them killed.
A shocking new US Justice Department report reveals the Sinaloa Cartel, once run by Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, hired a tech expert to spy on American agents and expose their sources.

ReutersThe hacker was used to track down agents and expose their sources before they were killed[/caption]
APThe FBI says it’s drafting a plan to plug security gaps, including more training for agents[/caption]
The hacker hacked into Mexico City’s camera network and phone records in 2018, tailing an FBI assistant legal attaché (ALAT) at the US embassy.
Armed with this intel, the cartel was able to “intimidate and, in some instances, kill potential sources or cooperating witnesses,” the report said.
The Justice Department added: “According to the FBI, in addition to compromising the ALAT’s phone, the hacker also accessed Mexico City’s camera system, used the cameras to follow the ALAT through the city, and identified people the ALAT met with.”
The findings shine a harsh light on how cartels are now using cutting-edge tech to stay a step ahead of law enforcement.
The audit warned that new technology has “made it easier than ever for less-sophisticated nations and criminal enterprises to identify and exploit vulnerabilities” in government data.
It comes as Mexico’s cops desperately try to catch up.
In Chiapas this week, police unveiled armed drones to take on cartels fighting for smuggling routes along the Guatemalan border.
Just weeks ago, the same force sparked a diplomatic storm by chasing gunmen into Guatemala and engaging in a wild street shootout.
The Sinaloa Cartel — once commanded by El Chapo, who’s now locked up in the US — remains locked in a bloody battle with the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
Meanwhile, a new breed of younger, tech-savvy narcos is ramping up tactics like cryptocurrency laundering and state-of-the-art surveillance.
“The cartels run a multi-billion-dollar global enterprise and utilize sophisticated technology to enhance their business operations,” said Derek Maltz, former acting DEA chief.
“They utilize state-of-art sophisticated surveillance techniques to identify law enforcement activities and their adversaries.”
The FBI says it’s drafting a plan to plug these glaring security gaps, including more training for agents.
But the Justice Department report warned the threat is so severe that some in the FBI and CIA call it “existential”.
Mexico’s long-running drug war rages on with no end in sight.
More than 400,000 people have been killed since the government first declared war on the cartels in 2006, and tens of thousands more have vanished without a trace.
Despite high-profile arrests and military crackdowns, groups like Sinaloa and Jalisco New Generation continue to expand their reach, both at home and across borders.
In the US, the stakes are equally dire.
Authorities have repeatedly blamed Mexican cartels for driving the fentanyl crisis, which has fuelled a record surge in overdose deaths.
Washington has labelled these syndicates “foreign terrorist organisations” in everything but official designation, ramping up efforts to cripple their finances and supply chains.
Mexico's most dangerous cartels
Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) – The most violent and rapidly expanding cartel, known for extreme brutality, including cannibalism, drone warfare, and high-profile assassinations. Led by Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes.
Sinaloa Cartel – Once led by Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, this powerful cartel is known for sophisticated drug trafficking networks and ruthless tactics, including face peeling and mass executions.
Los Zetas – Originally formed by ex-special forces soldiers, Los Zetas are infamous for military-style operations, public massacres, and the “Highway of Death” killings.
Gulf Cartel – One of Mexico’s oldest cartels, involved in human trafficking, kidnappings, and violent turf wars, often clashing with Los Zetas.
Beltrán Leyva Cartel – Known for alliances with other criminal groups and deadly feuds, this cartel specialises in assassinations and corruption at the highest levels.
Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel – A rising force primarily involved in fuel theft and extortion, responsible for deadly attacks against rivals and law enforcement.

GLASTONBURY fans have been left fuming as the show is pulled off air in a huge technical blunder.

If you wanted to watch the likes of Scissor Sisters and Charli XCX then you would have to switch the channel.
The BBC coverage of the 2025 Glastonbury Festival has been dogged by technical errors.
During a set on The Other Stage, the screen cut to black for many BBC viewers today.
And it’s no better online for those watching iPlayer as the main Saturday feed also suffered from a huge technical difficulty.
Those wanting to watch Scissor Sisters were greeted with an apology message that was emblazoned on the screen.
It read: “Sorry for the interruption. We’re working to fix this.”
Glasto fans flooded social media in their droves as they were left fuming by the blunder.
Writing on X – formerly known as Twitter – one expletive-filled fan fumed: “F****** hell @BBC you cut Blossoms short and now Scissor Sisters when it’s just a black screen. Sort it out.”
A second stated: “Scissor Sisters have been on stage 8 minutes and the screen is still black!
“I’ve only wanted to watch them, Jade, and Raye all day and now it’s not even working for Scissor Sisters!”
“#Glastonbury Jeez put up with watching that Winehouse wannabe Raye screen goes blank for Scissor Sisters,” exclaimed an angry user.
While a fourth asked: “Having to watch Charli because no streams on iplayer I don’t even know what she sings #Glastonbury.”
“Cmon BBC Iplayer…where’s Charli xcx?“, enquired someone else.
Glastonbury backlashes
Glastonbury Festival has been going for 54 trailblazing years - but at times it has been a stormy ride Here, we look at the biggest backlashes to hit the iconic music event.
The Smiths (1984): One of the first bands to divide the early Glastonbury purists were Manchester indie stars The Smiths. The band’s set even sparked a full scale stage invasion as they introduced the crowd to their guitar-driven, post-punk romanticism music. Guitarist Johnny Marr described their usual fanbase as “cup final supporters”, adding: “Eventually, I did manage to instigate a stage invasion, which raised a few eyebrows. One fan was trying to climb on stage, I helped pull him up, and then a few more people followed, and all of a sudden we’d managed to turn it into a Smiths gig.”
The Fence (2002): It wasn’t a band or musician that sparked controversy in 2002… it was a fence. Organiser Michael Eavis came under fire when he organised the erection of a £1million fence around the site. The ring of steel was brought in to protect ticket holders and those who might inadvertently endanger themselves by breaking in. Diehard Glasto fans, however, felt it was at odds with the event’s hippy ethos of peace and love. Eavis and co refused to back down, though, and the fence remains in place today.
JAY-Z (2008): Despite its long history, Glastonbury had never welcomed a rapper for a headline set – until 2008. Jay-Z’s top bill booking was met with a flurry of digs, including some from Oasis’s Noel Gallagher, who claimed hip hop had no place at the festival. In a perfect clap-back, Jay-Z walked out to a version of Wonderwall before launching into his powerful hit 99 problems. Seven years later, his pal Kanye West followed in his Glastonbury footsteps and topped the bill.
Metallica (2014): Thrash metal rockers Metallica were met with raised eyebrows when they were announced as Glastonbury headliners. Some critics claimed they lacked mainstream appeal, while others felt they were past their prime. However, frontman James Hetfield managed to quickly win the crowd round thanks to his good humour and polite manners.
Adele (2016): Although Adele wowed both festival goers and music fans at home with her headliner set, the British songstress did cause a stir by turning the air blue. She warned the crowd about her “potty mouth” but not everyone was impressed with with the 30 plus expletives she dropped on the stage during her headline set, which aired on the BBC.
And a sixth added: “Since iPlayer is so useless this weekend you only have what’s on BBC One and Two of #Glastonbury.”
On iPlayer, if you wanted to catch the action from The Other Stage, you would have to swap to the dedicated feed which was still working.

GLASTONBURY viewers were left underwhelmed by Neil Young’s headline performance this evening.
The Canadian rock veteran, 79, is said to have struggled to draw in a crowd for his 10pm slot and then had difficulties with his microphone throughout.

AFPThe star headlined the Pyramid stage this evening[/caption]
He opened his set with the song Sugar Mountain, saying “thank you folks” to the crowd as the song ended.
But those watching it were not impressed, with one person commenting: “Someone tell Neil Young to sing into a microphone.”
A second moaned: “Sound needs turning up like ffs, he’s shredding that axe and you can hardly hear it.”
While a third said: “Neil young with 48 microphones and none of them able to make his voice sound much beyond a grumble. Glastonbury has had a real hard time with the headliners the last couple of years…”
And a fourth added: “Watched a few minutes of this Neil Young man, this is like the worst thing I’ve ever seen and heard, there’s only a few hundred people there ffs for a Headliner, why does he sound like that.”
“It’s a no from me! Neil Young should not be headlining!Terrible!” raged another.
Earlier on Saturday, a BBC statement said: “We are delighted to confirm that Neil Young’s headline set from Glastonbury on Saturday will be broadcast live to audiences across the UK on the BBC.”
Neil’s performance was not guaranteed as earlier in the year he temporarily pulled out of, claiming it is a “corporate turn-off” due to its broadcast deal with the BBC.
He said on his website: “We were told that BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot of things in a way we were not interested in.
“It seems Glastonbury is now under corporate control and is not the way I remember it being.”
But just days later he did a surprise U-turn, the singer confirmed his slot blaming “an error in the information I received” for him initially turning down the offer.
A statement on his website read: “Due to an error in the information received, I had decided to not play the Glastonbury Festival, which I always have loved.
“Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing. Hope to see you there.”
The Sun first reported that the singer was booked to headline Glastonbury, 16 years after he last played on the Pyramid Stage.

GLASTONBURY Festival is dealing with a new overcrowding issue after declaring fans to AVOID one of the major stages.
As Neil Young took to the main Pyramid stage as the headliner of the evening, pop fans have ditched the rocker in favour of other acts.
Charli XCX is set to perform on the Other Stage at 10.30pm, while American rapper Doechii will appear on the third biggest stage, Woodsies, at 10.45pm.

GettyDoechii is set to close the Woodsies tent at 10.45[/caption]
PAAs Neil Young took to the main Pyramid stage, thousands flocked to the Other Stage and Woodsies instead[/caption]
However, nearly an hour before the set was due to start, the crowd at Woodsies had got so big that they were forced to close access.
The team simply posted a message on X (formerly Twitter), declaring: “No access to Woodsies. Please head to another area of the site – thank you.”
Doechii – who has topped the charts this year with her songs Denial Is A River and Anxiety – is still set to perform as planned.
The New Zealand singer appeared on stage to celebrate the release of her new album, Virgin, in a last minute appearance.
So the news came as a massive annoyance to ticketholders, who have criticised the team for poor organisation.
They’ve been particularly critical of putting big names like Charli XCX and Doechii against each other on the line-up, and on smaller stages that don’t have the capacity needed for the crowd.
“Terrible programming throughout, you need a massive re think for your next festival,” wrote one.
“doechii and charli clashing at glasto is EVIL WORK!!” said another.
“Glastonbury really looked at all the vibrant amazing young artists around and said “nah, lets pump the big slots full of elderly white men”. I’m not being funny but I’m struggling to stay awake for Doechii watching Neil Young…” noted a third.
And a fourth said: “It’s full to capacity? Nobody’s at the Pyramid Stage for Neil Young. Everyone is either at Woodsies or the Other Stage for Charli XCX
“Glastonbury has shit the bed a bit here. Field packed for Charli XCX. Woodsies closed an hour ahead of time for Scissor Sisters. Doechii still to come. Pyramid very sparse for Neil Young. Meanwhile PULP do an hour in the afternoon and fill the space”
