Paul, 28, controlled the fight as he was named the unanimous winner by the judges.

Chavez struggled to get forward in the fight until the final few rounds.

This was reflected in the judges’ cards as Paul claimed every single round except for just ONE.

The scorecard shows that in round nine, two judges thought that Chavez was the winner 10-9 over Paul.

It was far too little, far too late for Chavez to claw back a points victory as Paul had already won the first eight rounds.

His fight back was also short-lived as two of the three judges also gave round 10 to Paul.

The Problem Child has given his verdict on the victory as he hit out at his critics.

He said: “All the boos are words and actions speak louder than words so you can shut the f*** up.

“I beat your boy. Nah he is a warrior but so am I.

“I think I did great against a former world champion who has never been stopped and I dominated him.

“Yeah 100 per cent I’m staying active, I’m fighting everybody.

“I’ll fight anyone, any time, anywhere, any place.”

Paul also took the opportunity to call out British boxing icon Anthony Joshua.

It comes a day after AJ sent him a message urging him to be careful what he wishes for.

Meanwhile, Chavez admitted that he is ready for more fights after the bout with the YouTuber.

Jim McGuinness hits out at own county board over Donegal fixture complaint

Jim McGuinness picked a fight with his own county board after Donegal’s dramatic All-Ireland SFC quarter-final win.

The Donegal boss was fuming that a statement was put out earlier in the week complaining about the fixture.

The Donegal boss was left raging after a statement was put out earlier in the week complaining about the fixture

It was Donegal’s ninth game of the Championship, their fourth in June and their third in 13 days.

Donegal GAA said in a statement that they wanted a Sunday fixture for the quarter-final, instead of Saturday, noting how ‘no other county has played as many matches as Donegal’.

But McGuinness made a point of addressing his own county board when the regular post match interview had wrapped up.

McGuinness said: “The management and the players knew that once we got beaten by Tyrone, we were going to be facing into three games in three weeks and that that was the way it is.

“The statement was released by the county board, on the back I think of people in Donegal and clubs in Donegal not being happy.

“But as a management team, we were okay with the game. From my own point of view, you should never, ever make an excuse for a game before a game is played.

“I have never done that in my life and so I want to make sure that distance is there, because it’s disrespectful to Monaghan.

“If we got beaten today and the first-half followed through into the second-half, people would say, ‘Sure he was saying that during the week’.

“We had nothing to do with it. Nor did we know it was going to be put out into the ether until I read it myself on the phone.

“That’s very important to say from a management point of view and the players point of view – we were happy to be here today. We got beaten by Tyrone and it was always going to be that way.

“It was always going to be three games in three weekends, suck it up and let’s get on with it.”

It looked as if Monaghan might capitalise on Donegal’s fatigue when they led by 1-15 to 0-11 after a brilliant first-half – before caving in.

Monaghan manager Gabriel Bannigan said: “The things that we were doing brilliantly in the first-half, we just weren’t able to replicate them in the second-half.

“There were handling errors, there were poor options taken. We were getting shots blocked down, we kicked more wides. We didn’t seem to have the same hunger around the breaking ball. All of those things just went against us.

“We were trying to stem that tide and break the momentum that was with Donegal. We never managed to do that in the second-half.”

ILIA TOPURIA is the new king of the UFC’s lightweight division following a brutal stoppage of Charles Oliveira.

The former featherweight king stepped up in weight early on Sunday morning to vie for the vacant 155lbs strap in the main event of UFC 317.

Topuria, 28, was looking to make history with victory over the former lightweight champ[/caption]

Standing between him and joining an elite club of fighters was former champion and fan favourite Oliveira.

Throughout the build-up to the bout, Topuria, 28, promised to get his hands on the lightweight strap with a devastating knockout.

And he made good on his promise with yet another highlight reel KO.

Topuria’s stoppage of Oliveira has potentially paved the way for a grudge match with rival Paddy Pimblett.

Brit submission specialist Pimblett has a rivalry with Topuria that dates back to 2022.

‘The Baddy’ put himself in title contention in April with a statement-making stoppage of fan favourite Michael Chandler.

So it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that the UFC brass opt to give the Liverpudlian the first crack at new lightweight king Topuria.
