But luckily, green-fingered Brits can say goodbye to that and hello to a lush green lawn – and it’s sure to make your neighbours envious.

Those whose lawns could do with some TLC this season should hit Amazon, where they can bag a bargain product for less than £15.

The Pronto Seed Food Super Speedy Grass Seed promises swift results – even in the middle of a heatwave.

Easy to use and going for a wallet-friendly price, it is praised amongst shoppers for “delivering swift results” with some users claiming visible regrowth in as little as just seven days.

Eager beavers can grab a box with next day delivery for Amazon Prime members – and prices start from £14.49 for a 1.4kg box.

The rapid-growth grass seed is perfect for quick lawn repairs or new turf.

The premium blend grows into a dense, hard-wearing lawn that stands up to foot traffic, pets and unpredictable weather.

Specially formulated for avid British gardeners, this seed can be sown from March all the way through to the month of October.

This seed mix is also shade-tolerant and performs well even in low-nutrient conditions.

According to the description online, the 1.4kg pack of Pronto seeds can cover up to 84m² when used for overseeding or 42m² when creating a new lawn from prepared soil.

Suitable for use in various weather conditions, the affordable seed is can function in both shaded and sunlit locations.

Designed for rapid germination, the bargain find claims to be able to provide coverage in just two weeks – ideal if you’re hosting a BBQ party in July.

Cash-savvy Amazon customers who have already purchased the Pronto Super Speedy Lawn Seed have given it an impressive 4.2 out of 5-star rating across 21,000 reviews.

One shopper said: “I recently purchased Pronto Seed Grass Seed to rejuvenate my lawn, and I am thrilled with the results!

”After carefully preparing my garden and ensuring the right conditions for growth, I can confidently say that this product has exceeded my expectations in delivering a lush, green lawn.”

How to stop yellow patches on your lawn

STEVEN Bell, Managing Director of Paving Shopper, shared his insights on the true causes of lawn discoloration and how to maintain a lush, green lawn…

1) Sharpen mower blades

2) Prevent fungal disease with nitrogen fertiliser

3) Mow frequently

4) Aerate lawn with a fork

A second added: “Speedy is an undertstatement! Wow! Planted the Tuesday evening during the heatwave as I knew we would be getting some thundershowers in the next few days.

”Cannot believe the growth in one week! I have just filled in the patches, due to me spreading by hand, and can’t wait to see the end result.”

Another buyer shared their experience: “It really did start growing in under 14 days.

”I was sceptical, and nothing really happened before day 10, but it’s now day 13 and there’s a lot of grass coming up.”

Some buyers were not so impressed. One left a measly three-star review that said: “The results were just okay, nothing special, and I didn’t notice that it grew faster than the normal grass seeds.”

Overall, gardeners appeared to be impressed by the product.  #

Another shopper said: “Excellent product. Layed seed down covered with topsoil and watered. Results are amazing. Perfect for overseeding and patch repair.”

My mum Kerry is called a ‘trollop’ and a ‘sl*g’ but she’s rolling in it and driving a Lamborghini, says Heidi Katona

KERRY Katona’s daughter Heidi breaks down in tears as she admits: “I saw things as a child I should not have seen.”

The Atomic Kitten star’s turbulent life has been well publicised over the years; from relationships to an abusive partner and financial struggles that left her bankrupt twice over.

But Heidi, 18, reveals she doesn’t want to go down the same route[/caption]

But although she’s now turned her life around and is a millionaire thanks to OnlyFans, 18-year-old Heidi insists: “I couldn’t do OnlyFans. Mum has said I can’t do it either.

“It is not the route in life I want to take, I want to be a lawyer or a property developer.

“Mum sometimes struggles with men seeing her in that sexual way. I wouldn’t like that at all. I’ve not paid to see her pictures on there, that would be weird, but I know what she does.”

Heidi is speaking out today, in her first interview, to hit back at the critics who have called former Mum of the Year Kerry a “prostitute” and “trollop”.

The teen says: “They should realise Kerry Katona is now rolling in it – she drives a Lamborghini.

“I couldn’t be prouder of her. She has worked so hard. People forget OnlyFans is just a new thing; she has been singing, doing reality work and TV appearances for nearly 25 years.

“She has never stopped. She put us through private school, we go on amazing holidays, she just bought me clothes for the weekend.”

OnlyFans has helped pay for a five bedroom detached house in Cheshire, too.

Growing up down the road in Warrington wasn’t so luxurious.

Kerry, 44, grew up in foster care, did topless modelling and lapdancing to pay the bills before getting her singing break.

She has had her own reality shows, won I’m A Celeb, appeared on Big Brother and Dancing On Ice.

But that turbulent life has seen Kerry go to rehab for a cocaine addiction that was so severe she had to have nose reconstruction.

Heidi says: “I’d be stupid to even try drugs after what mum has been through – I know how destructive they can be.”

She was too young to remember Kerry going to rehab but she has always been honest with her kids about taking them.

‘Very anti drugs’

Heidi says: “I am very, very anti drugs.

“At school there was this older boy, I thought he was cute until I overheard him say, ‘You know that Heidi Katona’s mum, she’s a coke head. She probably does drugs in front of her kids too’.

“I was upset, it was cruel; of course I’ve never seen mum doing drugs.”

But what she has seen is difficulties during Kerry’s relationships.

Kerry has children Molly, now 23, and Lilly, 22, with first husband Westlife star Brian McFadden and Heidi and her younger brother Max, 17, shared drug dealer dad Mark Croft.

Kerry’s third husband George Kay was father to her youngest daughter, DJ, 11.

Heidi, who has ditched the surname Croft for Katona, saw George as her dad.

I’ve never understood why someone would want to bully – or hate on – someone’s parents like that. It’s rude, plus, I can’t control what my mum does

Heidi

Throughout our interview Heidi is upbeat, positive, chatty and straight-talking but it is when we mention George that tears come to her eyes – and she talks about the things she saw as a child.

George violently attacked Kerry and once even threatened to kill DJ by injecting her with heroin. They split in 2015. Years later, at just 39 he died of an accidental drug overdose.

Heidi says: “I am grieving for him. But I also saw my dad hitting my mum. She didn’t realise at the time how much I saw.

“That is not nice, it was horrid, and has an effect on who I am now. I saw things as a child I should not have seen.

“Mum sent me to a therapist but I don’t see the point of it.

“I try to be tough. Like mum I use humour to cover things up, but it’s not always easy.”

Petite Heidi has had to be tough when defending Kerry.

She says: “There was one time I was walking through Alderley Edge when a group of lads started shouting, ‘Your mum is a sl*g…a prostitute’.

“They started following me. I wasn’t scared, I was angry. Mum has always told me to tell people like that where to go.

“I respond to abuse by saying, ‘Tell your dad to unsubscribe then!’, or, ‘You know that Lamborghini my mum drives… your dad helped pay for that’.

“Sometimes I say, ‘Obviously, you’ve noticed that she’s rich? Yeah! She’s doing great’.

“I’ve never understood why someone would want to bully – or hate on – someone’s parents like that. It’s rude, plus, I can’t control what my mum does.”

‘Struggling for money’

Even pensioners have attacked Kerry.

Shaking her head Heidi says: “I was in a cafe, and this woman started chatting to me about celebrities and said, ‘Do you know who I can’t stand…that Kerry Katona, she’s a right tramp, a trollop on OnlyFans’. I didn’t say a word.”

Kerry and her, clearly intelligent, daughter are a joy to watch together; laughing and sharing jokes, with a relationship that looks more like friends than mother and daughter.

She’s done glamour before, she’s been pictured with her boobs out, there’s not a huge difference. This way she takes control and makes money from her sexuality

Heidi

But their teen years couldn’t be more different. Kerry had started taking cocaine at 14 while Heidi only went out in Manchester for her first “proper” night out in February to celebrate her 18th because, unlike many of her friends, she “never went down the fake ID route”.

She says: “In the loos women were openly taking cocaine. They asked if I wanted some…no thanks! I thought, ‘If you want to do it, fine, but I don’t even want to see it’.”

Heidi says she has to be tough when defending her mum[/caption]

And although she never wants to see her mum on OnlyFans she gave her backing to the idea when Kerry suggested it during Covid lockdown.

After speaking to her then fiance Ryan Mahoney, who she split from last year, Kerry sat her kids down and said: “I want to do OnlyFans – tell me if you have a problem with that’.”

She explained exactly what the subscription site was.

Heidi says: “Lockdown meant her other work had stopped. We all agreed she should do it, she’s a grown woman who makes her own decisions.

“She bought us all Airpods with her earnings. I thought, ‘This is great’.

“She’s done glamour before, she’s been pictured with her boobs out, there’s not a huge difference. This way she takes control and makes money from her sexuality.

“We didn’t know at the time that she was struggling for money. She has hidden a lot from us over the years.”

Heidi knows she is luckier than Kerry was growing up because “mum will never let us forget that”.

Now she has decided she wants to be famous and knows Kerry can help her.

She says: “People will scream ‘nepotism’ but mum can only open a door, I have to make a career work.”

She embarrasses me in front of boys and I can recite her catchphrases before she even comes out with them

Heidi

Heidi, who has appeared on The Voice, has her head screwed on. She is also doing A levels in sociology, psychology and criminology and looking at universities but would love to sing or go on I’m A Celeb.

She doesn’t feel she has “enough life experience” for Love Island and wouldn’t want her mum seeing her kissing on TV.

But she would have had Love Island type lip filler – if her mum had her own way. Laughing, Heidi says: “When I was about 13 I told mum I wanted them done.

“So when I turned 18 she was like, ‘Right, I’ve spoken to the clinic, the doctor will do your lips… get them done, I think you should, they will look amazing’ I said, ‘No!’ I’d changed my mind. But she was like, ‘Go on. Why don’t you?’ For now I am happy as I am.”

Life in the Katona household does seem happy. But surely Kerry Katona star has some faults?

“Yes, she does,” laughs Heidi, “She embarrasses me in front of boys and I can recite her catchphrases before she even comes out with them.

“She can be so loud too…but then so can I.

“I couldn’t ask for a better mum. She’s my best friend – but I never tell her that or I’d never hear the end of it.”

Kerry Katona's love life timeline

Kerry’s first high-profile relationship was with Brian McFadden, who was then a member of the Irish boyband Westlife.

The couple married in 2002 and had two daughters together, Molly and Lilly-Sue, but divorce beckoned just four years later after infidelity claims.

In 2007, Kerry married Mark Croft, a former taxi driver.

Their relationship was tumultuous and marked by financial difficulties and accusations of infidelity.

They had two children together, Heidi and Maxwell, before divorcing in 2011.

Kerry has spoken openly about the difficulties she faced during this period, including struggles with her mental health and substance abuse.

Following this, she entered into a relationship with George Kay, a former professional rugby league player.

They married in 2014 and had a daughter, Dylan-Jorge (DJ). However, their relationship was fraught with issues, including horrifying domestic abuse, and they separated in 2017. Kay died in 2019 after ‘biting into a ball of cocaine’.

Kerry later found love again with Ryan Mahoney, a fitness trainer.

The couple became engaged in 2020, and Kerry described Ryan as a stabilising and positive influence in her life.

After increasing speculation late in 2024, Kerry revealed they had split over a “breach in trust” and Ryan had moved out of her home.

Water park once biggest in UK with 9 ‘thrill-factor’ rides is completely demolished after rotting away for 6 years

A MUCH-LOVED waterpark has been completely demolished six years after it closed down.

Images show nothing but an empty ground in the space where the popular attraction once stood.

It was once UK’s biggest waterpark attracting hundreds of visitors[/caption]

Wet ‘n’ Wild in North Shields has been completely flattened as seen in the new drone pictures.

Last year, fans of the closed-down attraction had hoped it would reopen after it was sold to an unnamed developer.

Former owners Serco said at the time: “We’ve agreed to sell the site and have exchanged contracts with a local developer.”

However, Bloom Developments submitted an application to demolish “the building formerly known as Wet ‘n’ Wild, including external slides”.

They were granted the permission last August and the work was estimated to take eight weeks to complete.

Heavy machinery and diggers were first spotted at the site last November.

The application read: “Property has recurrent breaking and entering with increasing anti-social behaviour.

“Demolition will enable future development.”

It came after a local superstar DJ Schak and his pals entered the abandoned site and livestreamed a “rave” on social media last year.

They were arrested on suspicion of causing public nuisance but were quickly released “without further action”.

Opened by Gladiators’ Jet in 1993, the Wet ‘n’ Wild was once the biggest indoor waterpark in the UK.

It was home to the country’s biggest water slide, the 541ft-long Black Hole, as well as the Kamikaze, Abyss and the Lazy River.

Despite thousands of visitors flocking to the site in the years after it opened, the waterpark was forced to close back in 2019 following both maintenance issues and a drop in visitor numbers.

Five new water attractions opening in the UK

  1. Therme Manchester will have 25 swimming pools, 25 water slides and an indoor beach.
  2. Modern Surf Manchester will be a surfing lagoon offering lessons to both beginners and experts.
  3. Chessington World of Adventures Waterpark is set to have wave, infinity and spa pools as well as waterslides and cabanas.
  4. The Cove Resort, Southport is likely to have a water lagoon and a thermal spa with steam rooms and saunas.
  5. The Seahive, Deal plans to be the “surfing wellness resort” in the UK.

His close pal Ryan shared a snap of himself and Duffy and admitted he was looking forward to the knees-up in the capital with his good friend.

Broadcaster Duffy, who left his show on Friday after nearly 27 years, was congratulated at the bash by some of the many faces from throughout his career.

Among those at the star-studded party were Miriam O’Callaghan, Aonghus McAnally, Brush Shields, Syl Fox, John McColgan, Mike Murphy, Marty Morrisey, Alan Hughes and Karl Broderick.

Other pals and colleagues out for the night included Brenda Donohue, Health Minister Dr Jennifer Carroll MacNeil, Gay Byrne’s daughter Suzy and her daughter Sive, and Charlie Bird’s widow Claire Mould.

Prime Time host Miriam paid tribute to her friend of many decades and said: “Joyous evening spent celebrating the incredible Joe Duffy.

“Brilliant broadcaster, lovely guy. That’s all that matters in the end, he was a really good person.

“Here’s to the next brilliant chapter Joe.”

GAA legend Marty also got a photo with his friend and hailed his immeasurable impact on Irish radio.

Marty posted: “The impact of Joe Duffy on the broadcasting landscape over 27years as Liveline Presenter is truly phenomenal.

“The stories that needed to be told and heard was heard primarily on Liveline.

“Joe’s instincts as a journalist and broadcaster was simply top class and his connection with the audience was magical.

“We will miss listening & Talking to Joe every day. Congratulations my friend on a fantastic career. Thank you for everything, here’s to the next chapter, Joe.”

Earlier, Claire Byrne joined Duffy’s last day in RTE as friends and family gathered for his exit, sharing: “What a great send-off for Joe today!”

PRESIDENT’S TRIBUTE TO JOE DUFFY

During the special live show on Friday afternoon, morning Shay Byrne read out a message from President Michael D Higgins, who praised Duffy’s “lifelong commitment to justice, equality and public service”.

The President offered “the warmest of thanks on behalf of the Irish people for your remarkable contribution to public life, one that you have shaped with empathy, insight and an unwavering commitment to the voices of ordinary people.

“Through your work, you have borne witness to the struggles and triumphs of the Irish people, often giving voice to those on the margins and creating a space in which silence could be broken and solidarity expressed, reminding us that behind every headline is a human story, reminding us too that our society is strengthened by the lived experiences of its people.”

Earlier, Taoiseach Micheal Martin personally called in to the show, telling Duffy: “You were and are the voice of the people.”

Live music was performed by the Dublin Fire Brigade Pipe Band and the Camembert Quartet, who opened the show with a special rendition of Thank You for Being a Friend, among others.

Humble Duffy noted the Liveline would be open as normal on Monday, even if he wasn’t there.

Signing off for the last time, he kept it short and sweet, telling listeners: “Love you all, it’s been a privilege.”

The happy couple, who are also proud parents to two-year-old Blake, have been keeping fans up to date on their lives with two little ones.

Their youngest daughter Blu celebrated her first birthday this week and the celebrity couple took to Instagram to mark the special occasion.

Arthur posted a series of snaps showing baby Blu beside her blue birthday cake that was topped with candy floss and a number one candle.

However, things didn’t stay picture perfect for long as the dad-of-two followed up with some hilarious snaps of little Blake “digging in” to her sister’s cake “hands first”.

The TV star joked in his caption: “Well… things didn’t exactly go as planned!

“We got a cake for Blu’s 1st birthday, hoping she’d enjoy her special treat at home. But her big sister had other ideas…”

He then explained: “Right after blowing out the candle, she declared, ‘It’s mine’, and before we knew it, she was digging in, hands first!

“Guess Blu’s already learning the art of sharing, whether she likes it or not!”

Fans and friends all flocked to the comments to share their love for the post and wish Blu a happy birthday.

Carol joked: “Priceless memories, can’t wait for Blu’s revenge.”

Marie said: “Don’t worry little Blu will soon knock Blake down for taking over her birthday celebrations. Wait until she’s two, happy birthday Blu.”

Kay gushed: “Beautiful family… you’re fantastic parents.”

Another added: “It is hard to believe she has already reached her first birthday. Wishing the birthday girl a very happy day.”

The family-of-four also enjoyed a fabulous birthday celebration for their now one-year-old as they jetted off to Spain for a week in the sun.

They all stayed at the fabulous five-star Ikos Andalusia resort with Brian’s sister Aoife also joining them.

Brian took to his Instagram to post a series of family snaps from the first day of their luxurious sun-soaked trip.

I couldn’t look at my 34E boobs – now I’m a 32C after a reduction, but trolls say I’m an ‘angel who’s lost its wings’

A WOMAN who couldn’t look in the mirror because of the size of her chest has been told by men she made a mistake getting a reduction.

Maya Sangha was a 34E when she started looking into breast surgery options.

The opinions of her new boobs have been mixed, with many wondering ‘why’ she had gone for the op[/caption]

The 19-year-old couldn’t exercise, suffered with chronic back pain and struggled to find nice clothes that fit.

But after sharing a video of her new 32C bust on TikTok, comments from disapproving men came flooding in.

“I shared my story to social media but had men in my comments claiming that I looked better before,” Maya, a barista, told What’s The Jam.

“My chest caused me day-to-day problems.

“I wasn’t able to exercise comfortably.

“I felt and looked bigger than I was.

“I also had bad posture and horrible neck and back pain.

“I would like to share that if women are uncomfortable with their larger chests then they should go ahead with the procedure, and not worry about anyone else’s opinions.”

Because Maya is from Vancouver, Canada, her surgery was funded by taxes.

Similar to the NHS, Canada’s healthcare system is publicly funded and provides universal access to medically necessary services.

She got into the waitlist last year, and had the surgery in May.

Maya said: “The process of my reduction was quite easy.

“I had never had a surgery before and the process was seamless.

“I feel so much better now after my reduction.

“During my day-to-day I am more light feeling, and I no longer have to wear a restrictive sports bra.

“I can also wear anything I want, which has allowed me to be more confident in my style.”

5 clothing mistakes women with big boobs make

Do you have DD+ boobs and struggle to find clothes that fit?

Fabulous’ Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend has shared her top tips on clothes to avoid if you have a big bust.

1. Say no to the polo

High necklines such a roll necks are to be avoided if you have a fuller bust.  Closed chests and necks make your boobs appear bigger and can sometimes give you the dreaded uni-boob.

Try wearing V-necks, sweetheart, off the shoulder or scooped necklines that elongate the look of your neck and decolletage.

2. Bigger isn’t better

Frills, draping and excess fabric to cover your boobs only makes them look bigger.  They make you look too top heavy and add unnecessary bulk on your top half which distracts from your face.

Instead keep things clean and simple with sleek fabrics and designs with open necklines.

3. Skip slogan tees

Slogan or printed T-shirts are having a moment with fashion fans falling over themselves to get Ganni Tees, or their high street dupes.

The key is to make sure you’re not buying a top with thick, heavy paint plastered on as the print. These will stretch over your fuller chests and split, resulting in a messy look and a ruined T-shirt that’s now a waste of money.

4. Avoid crop tops

Tops that are shorter in length or crop tops should be swerved if you had a big chest. You’ll find you spend most of your time pulling it down and also it messes with the proportions of your body.

If you have a big bust and a crop top on, they cut you off in the middle, which makes your bust look even bigger and in worse cases give the illusion that your chest meets your waist.

A longer top (including anything from a T-shirt to a jumper) will create the right proportions.

5. Body-wrong

Straight or tight fitted dresses are brilliant at showing off your figure.  However if you have a big bust that isn’t in proportion with the rest of your shape they’re a no-go.

If you have a fuller bust you can create balance and a defined hourglass silhouette by wearing A-line dresses or skirts.

In the Maya’s video, she can be seen in a zip-up top before her surgery.

In the second clip, she can be seen in the same top.

Since posting, the clip has been seen 2.3m times.

It has also gained 316,000 likes and 2,000 comments – although opinions have been mixed.

One person said: “Nooooooooo.”

Another user added: “NO.”

Someone else said: “An angel lost its wings.”

I was so insecure I spent £4.5k getting perfect Turkey teeth – it was so painful I cried & trolls say my smile’s ruined

A WOMAN who spent £4,500 getting the perfect Turkey teeth has hit back at trolls who say she’s “ruined” her smile.

Tara Omidi made the decision to get a full set of new gnashers after a UK dentist “failed” her and she had to have two teeth removed following a routine root canal.

“They were right at the back of my mouth and caused my remaining teeth to move away from the centre of my face, leaving me feeling very insecure when I spoke,” Tara, from Oldham, Manchester, said.

“People would make indirect digs and tell me I had ‘unique’ teeth or comment ‘Your teeth aren’t in the middle, are they?’

“I felt really insecure, my job is social media and I’m known for being the happy, always laughing person.

“It would make me so shy and I’d just crumble.

“I decided I was going to have them all shaved down, realigned and have crowns fitted.”

Despite the horror stories she’d heard about Turkey teeth gone wrong, Tara did her research and finally found a clinic she felt she could trust – with the positive reviews also reassuring her.

She sent over pictures of her teeth, had an online consultation and flew to Turkey eight weeks later.

However, Tara admitted she had no idea how painful the procedure would end up being.

“I felt I could trust the clinic as they were very thorough with their examinations and X-rays,” she added to NeedToKnow.

“But it was painful – the actual fitting.

“People do lie about it and make out it is a breeze… I cried having them fitted!”

Tara spent four days abroad, which included having the procedure, resting in her hotel room and a final check-in with the dentist.

And she said that since heading back to the UK, “everything has been great”.

“I love them – they have given me my confidence and smile back,” she grinned.

“Of course you get trolls online saying horrible things but being online, people think they have the right to say and do nasty things – I couldn’t care less.

“I do what makes me happy for me, not for other people.”

Tara has faced cruel comments from trolls throughout her dental journey, and previously came under fire for a TikTok video which showed her teeth after they’d been filed down – before the crowns are fitted.

Tara filmed the clip in her hotel room after she had her teeth filed down, which happens before the crowns are fitted.

And the comments section was quickly filled with people slamming her for going ahead with the transformation.

“You have ruined your own teeth,” one sighed.

“Jesus woman!” another added, as a third marvelled “I dunno how people can do this.”

“Give it a few months and you will be in horrendous pain!” someone else predicted.

As another questioned: “How is that natural?!”
