SAFFRON Barker has made the big move to Dubai with her model boyfriend, Josh Miln.

Saffron, 24, made the big reveal on her Instagram and YouTube vlog where she explained she left her home town of Brighton, but would be returning regularly.

“I can’t believe I’m saying this out loud, it feels so surreal, but come and get ready of me to go apartment searching in Dubai,” she said in the Instagram video.

The influencer explained how in her “entire life” she had never moved anywhere and thought “why not, whilst I’m young, just try something news.

“I’ve always been in my hometown Brighton, which I do absolutely love, and there’s no doubt I will end up in Brighton because I absolutely love it,” she said.

Saffron then explained how her and Josh were planning to live “half our life in Dubai and half our life in the UK.”

She added: “Which is just so exciting because it means I still go home to see my friends and family, but at the same time, it’s like Josh and I get to start this whole new chapter together.”

Saffron admitted to feeling “a little bit nervous because I’ve never done anything like this before.”

“But Dubai is such a beautiful place. Also, this is where Josh spent much of his life,” she added.

Saffron promised to vlog their apartment search and begged fans to “help us make our decision,” because she was “very indecisive.”

Friends and fans reacted to Saffron’s announcement in the comment section of the post.

“This is so exciting!! You won’t regret it sis,” wrote one person.

Another added: “I just watched your vlog so happy for you and you will love living in Dubai- I moved here over 3 years ago from London and that was the best decision ever.”

And a third commented: “You and josh make such a cute couple you both deserve the world love seeing you happy my girl.”

The TV star and Josh began dating last year when she slid into his DMs after seeing him on TikTok.

“Josh loves this story because, in this case, I was a stalker, but this is your sign to shoot your shot, and I never thought I would do this, but here we are,” she said earlier this year in a vlog announcing their relationship.

“He is the kindest person I probably ever met in my life. Just is the complete opposite of a boy,” Saffron later aded.

“I mean, any person that has met Josh has said he just really is the kindest soul. He has the biggest heart, and I definitely got very, very lucky and so grateful for him.”

Saffron previously dated welsh rugby player Louis Rees-Zammit, but the pair split in March 2024, shortly after he quit rugby for American football, heading to the States to train in the NFL.

A 43-year-old content creator, who is currently going through perimenopause, has shared the hacks she swears by to keep cool at night.

And according to this woman, battling the heat and cooling yourself down whilst trying to sleep is all about focusing on your feet.

But while many were thankful for the handy advice, this woman’s sock tip sent people into meltdown. 

Posting on social media, this woman, who is currently dealing with hot flushes, shared her top tips, as she wrote: “Sleep in damp socks – feet help regulate body temperature.”

She also advised: “Sleep with feet elevated – helps blood circulation, reducing that hot, puffy feeling.”

Not only this, but she then revealed a hack that “really works”, as she beamed: “Soak feet in ice cold water for 10 minutes before bed.”

And that’s not all, as she then stressed: “Massage your feet with peppermint oil – the menthol creates a long lasting cooling sensation.”

Additionally, she shared a simple hack that is great for cooling your body down, as she advised: “Keep a frozen hot water bottle at the foot of your bed – rest your feet on it to stay cool.” 

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @bibton5, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 294,800 views.

It’s also amassed 2,370 likes, 175 comments and 719 saves. 

But social media users were left divided by the hacks – whilst some thought there were “genius”, the sock trick left people gobsmacked (and not in a good way). 

One person said: “Frozen water bottle is genius!” 

Another added: “Thanks for the tips.” 

A third commented: “I was up until 3am last night, got up after I saw this & soaked feet & it sorted me out!”

BRITISH holidaymakers in Majorca are now being sent to “dangerous” fake beaches as the war on tourists intensifies.

The “dirty” scam comes as anti-tourism protests ramp up across the country, with raging locals swarming restaurants and occupying beaches.

One protester was recently caught wielding an axe, while others jeered “Tourists go Home”.

But now, one resident has revealed a new, more insidious tactic being deployed by locals to keep tourists out.

Explaining the trick in a video posted online, she said locals are making up names for “secret” coves that are actually “dangerous” parts of the city located miles away from the coast.

The strategy, she said, consists of inventing locations that resemble real areas to trick tourists away from popular beaches.

She warned: “These are not beaches, they are dangerous places that you should avoid.

“If you want to avoid getting scammed,  look up the location online before you go.

“If you find a lot of information, it’s a real beach. If not, avoid going.”

Some have justified the practice as a means of protecting the island’s natural areas and have accused the woman of “discrediting her own land”.

While others have called the trick “dirty” and argue mass tourism is a systemic problem which needs to be resolved by those in power.

The scam comes just a year after locals reportedly put up fake closure signs around beaches and roads to prevent tourists from entering.

The separately organised protests, which took place more than 850 miles apart, showed the depth and breadth of the campaigns targeting tourists.

A protest group called Caterva was behind the fake beach closures in Manacor in eastern Majorca.

The fed-up group put up red tape and signs at several coves saying “Beach Closed”.

They included the secluded white-sand cove Cala Varques and a “hidden” cove renowned for snorkelling called Cala Petita.

Caterva said in a post on X, formerly Twitter: “New action by Caterva in Manacor. We closed coves for residents’ use and rest. Let’s change course and prioritise life.

“We believe the tourist is part of the machinery and has responsibility for the situation we suffer.”

“But the main people responsible are those who own the hotel chains and construction companies and real estate firms.

“They’re the ones we should be pointing our fingers at.”

It also follows last week’s announcement by protest movement, the Majorca Platja Tour, of a planned “beach occupation” later this summer.

The group said: “Prepare your towels, umbrellas and banners because we will be making a new symbolic occupation on a beach in Mallorca,”

Anti-tourist demonstrators have already barricaded a beach in Ibiza with boulders.

Pere Joan is the spokesperson and organiser for Menys Turisme Més Vida – meaning “Less Tourism, More Life”.

He previously told the Mirror: “We hope to do the same and occupy the beaches in places that have a mass of tourists.”

Last year, MTMV massed together up to 40,000 people to stick it to the tourists.

The campaigner said: “We are demanding from local government to put restrictions on outsiders buying housing. We want taxes on empty houses.

“We want control of illegal Airbnbs. One of our demands is to decrease the number of planes that come to Majorca.”

They claimed that Brits are the source of their “serious” problems, damaging “quality of life” and fuelling environmental degradation.

Pere explained why he felt tourism was at the root of the issue.

He said: “The demands of mass tourism mean the consumption of water, energy, food and land, something which limits Majorca.

“The other problem is the housing. The prices have increased so much. Many local people leave the city and go to some towns that are cheaper to live and rent.”

Several protest groups penned an open letter setting out their grievances.

The letter read: “ENOUGH! STAY HOME! We do not need more tourists; in fact, you are the source of our problem.

“DO NOT COME.”

It said the problems have been made worse by “greed and avarice” of hoteliers, politicians, real estate investors, and “parasites’ of all kinds”.

But Brits have pushed back – pointing out that the local economy depends on income from the tourism that is being attacked.

One Brit who has owned a holiday villa on Mallorca for over 30 years wrote to Majorca Daily Bulletin: “It’s sad British people are no longer welcome, even though over the years we’ve ploughed a lot into the island’s economy.

These will mainly be seen in the east, but overall it will be mostly cloudy.

There will be outbreaks of rain and drizzle that extend eastwards, which will be heaviest and most persistent in the west and north.

Met Eireann said: “Some brighter intervals this morning, mainly in the east but overall mostly cloudy, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the northwest and west and with misty conditions along the south coast.

“The rain and drizzle will slowly extend eastwards through the day, heaviest and most persistent in the west and north, but it’s unlikely to reach much of the east and southeast coast until after nightfall.

“It’ll become drier and a little brighter in the northwest and west in the evening.

“Highest temperatures of 16C to 19C in the west and northwest, 19C to 23C elsewhere with light to moderate southerly winds, gradually veering northwesterly and freshening for a time near southwestern coasts.”

In a post on Facebook, Ireland Weather Channel said: “A band of heavy rain is expected to develop into parts of the northwest of the country on Monday with a risk of some localised flooding in some parts. Rainfall totals in general in these areas will range between 15-20mm, but some areas, especially upland areas could see totals of between 25-35mm, perhaps even a little more over the mountains.

“Elsewhere warm humid conditions will continue with cloud increasing during the afternoon and evening with some rain spreading eastwards.”

Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather added: “Rain already in West and more to come today with over 20mm in parts but very little in Southeast.”

But this evening, it will become drier and brighter in both the west and northwest.

Temperatures will reach highs of 16C to 19C in the west and northwest.

Elsewhere, it will reach highs of 19C to 23C.

Tonight will be largely dry with isolated showers and fog patches while the last of the rain clears from the east early tonight.

Though fog may linger for longer in the southeast.

The north and west will enjoy the best of the clear spells tonight.

Temperatures are set to drop to between 8C and 13C, but it will be milder in the southeast.

Tomorrow there will be a mix of cloud and sunny spells during the morning, with scattered showers developing by the afternoon.

Some of these may turn heavy, especially in the south.

Sunny spells will develop in the evening, as temperatures reach highs of 15C to 19C.

It will be warmest in the south.

Tomorrow night will be largely dry and clear with isolated showers, mainly in the south.

DRY SPELLS

Temperatures will drop to lows of between 6C to 11C.

Wednesday will see spells of sunshine with scattered showers.

Some of these will be heavy in the west and midlands during the afternoon.

More frequent showers will move into Atlantic coasts closer to the morning, as temperatures drop to between 7C and 11C.

Friday will be mostly cloudy, turning breezy with outbreaks of rain pushing in from the west.

‘MOSTLY SETTLED’

According to Met Eireann, the further outlook involves some more rain.

Bosses said: “Outbreaks of rain pushing in from the west at first, possibly turning drier later on Sunday.”

Ireland Weather Channel added: “For the remainder of the week a ridge of high pressure will bring mostly settled conditions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with just the odd shower developing in parts of the east and northeast of the country. Highs between 17-20 degrees Celsius generally.

“Later on next week and into the following weekend a more mixed and mobile westerly airflow develops with some outbreaks of rain developing, especially so across the west and northwest with the best of the dry weather in the east and south of the country. Temperatures average for the time of year.”

THE brutal Turkey fires have continued to spread across holiday hotspots for a second day, fuelling travel chaos at tourist airports.

One suspect has been arrested and accused of starting the fire with gasoline by allegedly setting his own house alight.

Firefighters are continuing to battle with the raging blazes in the western province of Izmir.

Wildfires in Kuyucak and Doganbey areas of the tourist hotspot were fanned overnight by winds reaching a devastating 25-30mph.

Four villages and two neighbourhoods were forced to evacuate, Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumakli said.

122 fire engines, 74 water tankers and 84 heavy machines have been deployed alongside more than a thousand people who are desperately working to extinguish the flames, Yumakli added.

Three residents reportedly suffered from smoke inhalation but no fatalities were reported.

Shocking footage shows teams using tractors with water trailers and helicopters carrying water while smoke billows over hills marked with charred trees.

Adnan Menderes Airport was forced to temporarily close due to the raging wildfires, with some incoming planes forced to divert to other airports.

Extinguishing efforts prevented jets from taking off or landing at the airport on Sunday.

Flights scheduled to land at Adnan, which serves the popular holiday hotspot Izmir, were reportedly diverted amid the travel mayhem – with services only just returning to normal.

And hundreds were left stranded following the major disruption.

According to the airport’s website, flights scheduled to depart on Sunday night will finally be taking off today – but disruptions and cancellations have already been announced.

One flight headed for London Stansted has endured a 20-hour delay, with other flights to European cities cancelled completely.

Turkey’s Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc said that 17 suspects linked to fires between June 26 and 28 had been detained.

But one suspect, a beekeeper according to local media, has been held for allegedly starting a fire with gasoline and is facing charges of “intentionally causing a forest fire,” the Minister added.

Wildfires were also reported in Kahramanmaraş, Bursa, Sakarya, Bilecik, Gaziantep, Bolu and Manisa this week.

And while those in Sakarya and Manisa are now largely under control, Izmir remains a hotspot for the flames.

Harrowing images posted by Turkey‘s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry shows firefighters working tirelessly through the night to extinguish flames.

Planes were seen dumping large supplies of water over fiery infernos in order to combat the blazes.

Taking to Instagram on her daughter’s actual big day, mum-of-five Katie shared a stunning snap of Princess. 

She added: “Happy birthday to the most amazing daughter @princess_andre.

“Now you’re 18 so much more adventures we can do. I love you baby girl always and forever.” 

Getting her dates mixed up two days previously, Katie wished her daughter and “best friend” happy birthday before swiftly deleting the post. 

She captioned the image: “Happy 18th Birthday to the most amazing daughter.

“And my best friend @princess_andre. I love you so much.”

She replaced it with another snap of Princess and wrote: “2 days until Princess turns 18 can’t believe it xx.”

It wasn’t the first time that Katie forgot her childrens’ birthdays.

Back in 2019, with her ex Kieran Hayler, the pair tried to sort out when they’d each have their children Jett and Bunny in scenes in her reality show My Crazy Life.

After having said she’s not ‘bothered’ if she has them on her birthday, Katie then said: “At their age, what do they know?

“When’s their birthdays? Let me Google it. Or do you know?”
