However, with The Range’s Weed Spray Rose, your garden will be weed free in not time.

The nifty gadget costs just £5.99, and can be cut to size to fit a variety of watering cans and spout sizes.

Simply place it on top of your watering can spout, place weed killer inside, and spray your weeds with the spray.

The Range said: “The curved surface design ensures even distribution every time.

“Can be cut to size for use with a variety of spout sizes and watering cans.”

You can purchase the weed killer online, or at your local The Range store.

More Weed Killing Hacks

An expert from Moral Fibres revealed that another budget friendly way to kill weeds is to add three teaspoons of washing liquid to a vinegar and salt solution and pour this on the unwanted plants.

According to the expert, the homemade weed killer “works indiscriminately on all plant life and can turn your soil acidic”.

“My main tip is that this homemade weed killer recipe works best on a dry sunny day,” they continued.

“I’d suggest applying it at midday, or just before, when the sun is at its peak. It really helps to dry out the weeds.”

According to the experts at House Digest, a £2 product can be used on patio weeds that will cause them to weaken and die fast.

Why you shouldn't use fizzy drinks as a weed killer

THE internet is full of gardening hacks - some incredibly useful, and others just downright stupid.

Fabulous’ Associate Editor and gardening enthusiast, Rebecca Miller, has shared her thoughts.

“The latest suggestion is to use fizzy drinks as a weed killer – but this will cause more harm than good.

Fizzy drinks contain acidic ingredients which, yes, will effectively kill weeds – but also any other plant it touches.

More importantly, it will impact your soil quality because of the artificial sugar content.

While this may not seem like a bad thing because plants need sugar to survive, the issue is, the sugar in fizzy drinks, is the wrong type of sugar plants need, and it cannot be absorbed by them.

Instead, the plant which has been covered in soda will pull water from the roots of surrounding plants, causing them all to become hydrated.

So yes, you might kill a weed or two, but you’ll also see a lot of your other plants and flowers dying.

To add to this, the microbes and underground critters that like the sugars found in fizzy drinks, are often not good for plants – and some of them can be actively harmful.

If you have pesky weeds, the old fashioned way is the best. Get a kitchen knife, a weed puller or brush and remove them by hand.

But remembera weed is just a plant growing in a location you don’t want it to.”

The gardening gurus stressed that rubbing alcohol – a very powerful disinfectant which you’ll find from just £2 on Amazon – can serve as an excellent way to get rid of weeds for good.

However, green-fingered gardeners should note that rubbing alcohol should only be used on patio weeds and not around any other plants, for a very important reason.

The experts explained: “The challenge with most weed killers, including rubbing alcohol, is their non-selective nature.

“This means they don’t just target weeds; they can also harm other vegetation, such as your beloved plants and lawn grass.”

So if you want to ensure your other plants don’t get harmed in the process, using it in between your paving stones – where you’ve likely not got any other plants or grass growing – is the best way to go, as there’s less risk of contamination.

The actress has been based in Australia for several years[/caption]

Hannah Waterman portrayed Laura Beale – who fans may recall for her memorable death scene.

Over two decades on, viewers were shocked to see the actress pop up in an Australian TV ad.

The 49-year-old featured in an advert promoting a casino game titled KenoGo.

Writing online, one fan said: “So I’m living in Australia currently and this advert keeps popping up on the TV and now social media.

“Is it Laura Beale’s actress Hannah Waterman?”

Another replied: “Yeah looks like it, and I read somewhere that she moved to Australia a few years ago.”

While a third chimed in: “Yeah Hannah Waterman has lived in Australia for years. She was in Home and Away recently.”

Hannah is the daughter of late actor Dennis Waterman – who passed away back in 2022.

While in EastEnders, her character Laura became Ian Beale’s third wife.

She welcomed Bobby in 2003 although initially believed her lover Garry Hobbs was the father – given Ian had a vasectomy.

However, it later transpired that Ian was indeed Bobby’s biological father.

The character’s final scenes saw her clash with Janine Butcher – while Laura fatally tripped down the stairs.

Late last year, it was announced Hannah had signed up to play a magistrate in Home and Away.

She had last acted in the UK for a 2013 episode of Doctors – but had appeared in a string of Australian dramas.

A source said: “Hannah moved to Australia years ago for a new life but she’s still acting.

Most devastating soap deaths

SOAP viewers are frequently left heartbroken after watching some of their favourite characters bite the dust.

Here is a list of the most devastating deaths that have taken place in soapland over the years.

EASTENDERS

Barry Evans – Evil Janine (Charlie Brooks) lured her trusting fiance to Scotland for a quickie marriage after learning he was dying.

Her plan to inherit Barry’s fortune was thwarted when Barry told her that the doctors had mixed up his medical files.

Furious that she was no longer set for a windfall, she pushed Barry off a cliff after telling him their love was “fake”.

Bradley Branning – Bradley was accused of killing Stacey Slater’s rapist Archie Mitchell (Larry Lamb) after he punched him twice on the night he died.

He was spotted in the Square by a police woman who chased him up a fire escape.

Bradley lost his balance and tragically plunged to his death.

CORONATION STREET

Tina McIntyre – Tina was getting it on with Peter Barlow – despite him being married to Carla Connor.

When she threatened to reveal the truth, Carla’s brother Rob got into a physical altercation with her.

Tina lost her footing and fell off a balcony – then warned Rob she was going to tell the cops he pushed her.

In a panic, Rob brutally clobbered her over the head with a metal pipe.

Molly Dobbs – Molly was one of the victims in Corrie’s 2010 tram crash, alongside Ashley Peacock (Steven Arnold).

Married to Tyrone (Alan Halsall), Molly had been having an affair with Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) in the months before her death.

This resulted in the birth of their son, Jack (Kyran Bowes), who was named after Jack Duckworth.

As fate would have it, Kevin’s wife Sally (Sally Dynevor) was by Molly’s side in her final moments.

Sally was stunned as Molly confessed Kevin was Jack’s father, before dying of her injuries.

Vera Duckworth – Having appeared regularly in Corrie since the 1970s, there was no denying Vera Duckworth was an iconic character.

Alongside her husband Jack, the pair formed one of the soap’s most beloved couples.

Viewers were heartbroken when Vera was killed off in 2008, being discovered having passed away peacefully in her chair.

Liz Dawn, who played Vera, made a brief return two years later for Bill Tarmey’s exit as Jack.

Paul Foreman – Fans were heartbroken when Paul Foreman succumbed to his illness after battling motor neurone disease.

Introduced in 2018 as David Platt’s (Jack P. Shepherd) cellmate, he later embarked on a romance – and marriage – with vicar Billy Mayhew.

The MND storyline was announced in 2023 – with the expectation it would result in the character’s death.

EMMERDALE

Sarah Sugden – After the family got into financial problems, Sarah’s son Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) decided to make some quick cash from an insurance company by setting fire to the Sugden barn.

He didn’t realise his mum was inside the building, and she got trapped in the blaze.

Nine villagers – The shocking 1993 plane crash episode brought in 18 million viewers for Emmerdale.

Mark Hughes was killed by a falling wall, Archie Brooks was burned by jet fuel, Elizabeth Pollard was killed by debris and newcomer Leonard Kempinski died in a car crash caused by the crash.

Five other non-recurring characters from the village also died.

HOLLYOAKS

Carmel McQueen – The talented singer died in shocking scenes when a train crashed into a her family’s car.

Carmel managed to free her cousin Theresa from the rubble – but got stuck in it herself.

Moments later the train exploded and Carmel died in the arms of her family members, promising to be their guardian angel.

“She loved dipping her toes back into the world of soap briefly and who knows it could mean she finds her way back more permanently.”

The role came two years after Hannah tied the knot to former The Bill star husband Huw Higginson.

Huw posted a celebratory shot showing their special day in October 2022 as they posed with their son Jack, 11, on a boat in Sydney.

The Bill actor gushed in his caption: “Got married to my love yesterday. We had the best of days.”

Man Utd tie down ‘Kid Messi’, 14, to new deal after crucial intervention and he’s already been playing for U18s

FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD Manchester United wonderkid JJ Gabriel has signed a new deal to keep him at Old Trafford.

Gabriel, dubbed ‘kid Messi’ by fans, had appeared set to move amid interest from some of Europe’s biggest club.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich were all said to be ready to swoop.

But, according to the Mail, a crucial intervention from club officials persuaded him to commit his future to the Red Devils.

It is claimed that talks with director of football Jason Wilcox and director of football negotiations Matt Hargreaves convinced the young star to stay.

Joseph Junior Andreou Gabriel played futsal as a child alongside footballing spells at Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham.

Since his move to the north-west, he has been touted as one of United’s most promising prospects, earning his ‘kid Messi’ moniker.

Ironically, it was kid Ronaldo with whom the youngster formed a bond, with Gabriel and Cristiano Ronaldo Jr reportedly growing close during their time in the Man Utd academy together.

Now the young forward, born in 2010, is starting to make waves playing well above his years in the club’s u18 setup.

The move up a level has not slowed him down, netting three times in his three appearances in the u18 Premier League.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

The hype surrounding his development has led to a significant boot deal with Nike which the sun reported could be worth up to six-figures.

First-team boss Ruben Amorim has handed minutes to several promising Man Utd youngsters since his arrival last year, and will keep a keen eye on Gabriel over the upcoming campaign.

Young prospects Harry Amass, Ayden Heaven, Toby Collyer and Chido Obi all made appearances for the senior team in the Premier League this season.

More established stars such as Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho have also walked the pathway from the academy to the first team at the club in recent years, suggesting the opportunities are there for Gabriel should he continue to improve.

The bacterial infection that’s spread to humans by insects – 5 symptoms to watch out for

PEOPLE are being warned about a bacterial infection that becomes a more glaring issue in summer.

Lyme Disease is caused by a reaction to tick bites, which can be more common in hot weather.

Ticks tend to live on sand dunes, in long grass, and in woodland or bushy areas.

People spending time outdoors at the beach, hiking, or cycling may be at risk of being bitten.

Once bitten by an infected tick, the first symptom of a circular red rash will start to show.

The rash looks similar to a bullseye with the bite mark in the middle.

It can appear up to three months after being bitten by a tick although they usually appear within the first four weeks.

Although not everyone with a tick bite will get a rash, it usually affects those who do develop it for several weeks.

Other fly-like symptoms will likely follow the rash.

These include a high temperature or feeling hot and shivery.

A second symptom is headaches and a third is muscle or joint pain.

PROPER PROCEDURE

And a fourth symptom is a feeling of tiredness, fatigue, or loss of energy.

The HSE stressed that most tick bites are harmless, with five per cent of ticks in Ireland thought to carry Lyme disease.

Health bosses said: “Only a small number of ticks are infected with the bacteria that cause Lyme disease.

“A tick bite can only cause Lyme disease in humans if the tick has bitten an infected animal.”

But they stressed that ticks should be removed from your body as soon as possible.

To do this, you should check your entire body for ticks after being outside.

TIME FRAME

And parents should check their children‘s skin as well as their head and hairlines for the insects.

Pets and animals can also carry ticks and should also be checked after spending time outside.

Lyme disease can be prevented if the tick is removed within 36 hours.

Ticks can be removed from the body by using tweezers.

The HSE recommend grasping the tick as close to the skin as possible, then slowly pulling upwards.

The bite should then be cleaned with antiseptic or soap and water.

You can dispose of a tick by:

  • putting it in alcohol
  • placing it in a sealed bag or container
  • wrapping it tightly in tape
  • flushing it down the toilet

Health chiefs said you should contact your GP if you have a rash or fever if you were bitten by a tick.

You should also get in touch if you have a rash or fever after spending time outdoors in an area with woods or long grass.

There are a few steps that can be taken in order to prevent tick bites.

You can cover your skin while walking outdoors and tuck your trousers into your socks.

Wearing an insect repellent should also help, while wearing light-coloured clothing makes ticks easier to spot and brush off.

And while out walking, people should stick to paths as much as possible.

Lyme disease can be treated with antibiotics, which can take up to a few months for some people, although symptoms should start improving over time.

SYMPTOMS OF LYME DISEASE

  • Tiredness or fatigue
  • Aches or pains
  • Circular rash around the tick bite
  • Fever or high temperature
  • Headaches

Robbie Savage closing in on Macclesfield exit and could be replaced by Wayne Rooney’s little-known brother

FORMER Premier League midfielder Robbie Savage is on the verge of becoming the new manager of Forest Green Rovers.

Savage took over as head coach of Macclesfield last June, four years after becoming a board member of the re-launched club.

Under his guidance, the Silkmen won the Northern Premier League Premier Division and secured promotion to the National League North.

He subsequently penned a new two-year contract just last month.

However, the 50-year-old is already set to move on.

According to Sky Sports, Savage has agreed to become the new Forest Green manager.

The Welshman was at the club on Monday to finalise a deal, with the official announcement expected on Tuesday.

He replaces Steve Cotterill, who was dismissed on Thursday after failing to earn promotion from the National League.

In preparation for his move, Savage has allegedly resigned from his role as Macclesfield’s director of football.

However, he remains a part-owner of the club.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

After he extended his managerial contract at Macclesfield last month, Savage explained: “It’s a club that’s close to my heart.

“What myself and Rob and the volunteers, the staff have all achieved: three promotions in four years, an FA trophy semi-final, record-breaking season last year.

“You know interest from other clubs, as Rob has alluded to, I just wanted to show everybody my commitment to this football club.

“It’s my future. For the next couple of years, it’s going to be here. It’s a project. It’s a journey. I can’t leave that dressing room.

“The lads have been spectacular, been amazing. Togetherness has been incredible. So I’m on that journey with them.”

John Rooney, the younger brother of Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney, is allegedly expected to take over as Macclesfield boss.

Rooney has spent the last two years as a player for the club.

Yet Annette O’Toole left fans doing a double take as she showed off her unrecognisable appearance on a day away from the cameras.

She pulled on an oversized long-sleeve lilac top paired with green trousers, covering up in a pair of sunglasses.

The Superman star left her silver hair flowing over her shoulders and padded around Los Angeles in dark trainers.

She clutched her car keys in one hand and what appeared to be a dry cleaning slip in another.

Showing that – despite her A-List status – she’s just like the rest of us, Texas screen star Annette was spotted collecting her laundry.

Later on, she was seen with a black cross body bag and a camel-coloured coat after nipping back to her vehicle.

She currently plays mayor Hope McCrea in Virgin River, yet has had a stellar screen career beforehand.

The mum of two starred in Superman III alongside Christopher Reeve as well as in movies Cross My Heart and 48 Hours.

On the small screen, she has starred in Smallville and the TV adaptation of Stephen King tome It, as well as in Nash Bridges.

During her early film roles, her wavy brunette locks were on full display.

They reached past shoulder height, but the star has now embraced her natural color and a shorter cut.

In her recent snaps, she also went fresh-faced as opposed to made-up, showing off her natural beauty.

PERILS OF THE JOB

Annette, who is married to American actor and comedian Michael McKeen, recently opened up about feeling homesick after travelling around the globe with her job.

She told Hello! about her Virgin River role, which sees her shooting in Vancouver, Canada, and admitted she missed her family.

The star confessed: “Oh, many times – the whole time!

“That’s the hardest part about the show for me, it’s being away from my family because my husband works as well and he’s all over the place.

“So he’s in a different location and my kids are grown and all over the place.

“My mom is 99. She’s in LA, and that’s hard too because I’ve been concerned about her, but she has wonderful help and we do the best we can like everyone.

“We’re all in the same boat where we’re kind of split and trying to be in two places at once.”

Blow to Sky viewers as beloved TV feature vanishes – as devastated telly fans brand change ‘hostile’

SKY customers were left astonished after a beloved TV feature vanished in a huge blow to the viewer’s experience.

The company’s decision to remove the feature will impact the user experience going forward.

A major feature is now missing from Sky’s website[/caption]

The beauty of a TV guide is soon to be a thing of the past for Sky viewers, after the section on the website has been removed.

Change to the Sky user experience

Viewers started noticing a change to the website on June 18, when the usually obvious and simple to use TV guide, no longer appeared on the website.

What’s more, others realised that after using their pre-saved link to the page, automatically redirected to a different landing page.

As a result, viewers are no longer able to see what is upcoming in Sky’s programming schedule.

For many, the website TV Guide or EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) was a useful feature for viewers wanting to plan what they watched without impacting their TV-watching experience or needlessly turning their tele on.

Days of frustration ensued, with countless messages in community chats, the viewers questioning went unanswered.

Finally, on June 20, a Sky community manager explained to the disgruntled viewers the reason behind the decision.

Viewers were told about the change after days spent in limbo[/caption]

He said: “We want to confirm that the TV guide feature has been discontinued.

“We understand this may be an inconvenience, you can find alternative ways to browse and discover content via your Sky Box, Sky Stream, Sky Glass, Sky Go and other parts of the website.”

Viewers deem it a hostile change

But at what first felt like a user error or a website issue, Sky viewers are now left befuddled by the decision to remove the feature.

Members of the Sky Community were quick to share their thoughts, with one user writing: “Who’s stupid idea was it to get rid of the TV guide? WE WANT IT BACK!”

Another said: “Was the online EPG hurting anyone or getting in the way? No, it wasn’t.

Illustration of Sky TV services, showing a television screen displaying a channel guide, a Sky+ box, and a hand holding a remote control.

The EPG is a long-standing fan-favourite feature which has now vanished[/caption]

“Was it a useful tool used by many on a daily basis? Yes, it was. Quite literally one of the stupidest decisions made by Sky in recent years.”

A third shared their frustration: “Not a great move, especially when it feels super hostile to those who still watch linear TV.”

It is a sentiment shared by long-standing Sky viewers, who had become accustomed to using the feature to enhance their watching experience.

Big change at Sky

The removal of the website EPG is just one in a long line of changes that viewers have had to deal with in a massive TV guide shake-up.

Sky recently decided to permanently close down two beloved TV channels, with viewers only given until July 1 to come to terms with the change.

Sky is undergoing major change behind the scenes, with huge scheduling changes[/caption]

It follows the addition of eight new live channels to Sky’s service, as well as a series of name changes to major channels and the move of 31 channels in April.

The removal of the website EPG, therefore, only adds to the confusion felt by viewers who can no longer use the feature to discover the new programming released by the provider.

Who was Raheel Ahmad?

Raheel Ahmad dated Sania Khan for five years before they decided to tie the knot in June 2021.

Sania’s friends said that Ahmad would have mental breakdowns and threaten to kill himself.

Months later in December 2021, Sania filed for divorce — just before Ahmad left Chicago and moved to Alpharetta, Georgia.

After deciding to open up on social media about her experience with marriage and divorce, Sania quickly began to gain a far-reaching following.

She also discussed online how domestic violence and divorce are taboo subjects in the South Asian community.

Sania, who went by geminigirl_099 on TikTok, posted videos about the stigma she felt from her family after divorcing Ahmed.

She wrote in one: “You think you can hurt me? My family members told me if I left my husband I would let Shaytan win, that I dress like a prostitute and if I move back to my hometown they’ll kill themselves.”

While another post of hers read: “Going through a divorce as a South Asian Woman feels like you failed at life sometimes.”

What did Raheel Ahmad do to Sania Khan?

In July 2022, just a month before the divorce was set to be finalised, Ahmad travelled from Georgia to Chicago.

One of his relatives reported him missing to the Alpharetta police, who contacted the Chicago police force.

Ahmad was found to have shot Sania in the back of the head at their home in Chicago.

Sania’s funeral was held shortly after on July 28, 2022.

A GoFundMe campaign had been launched to help fund the funeral and it raised $36,000.
