Meet Jennifer Aniston’s hypnotist boyfriend Jim Curtis as couple enjoy romantic Mallorca getaway

JENNIFER Aniston seems to have found new love and this time her beau is not a Hollywood superstar but a hypnotist hunk.

The former Friends star was spotted canoodling while on vacation with Jim Curtis, who is self-described as “wellness pioneer” and works as a hypnotherapist.

The pair were reportedly set up by mutual friends and is the first time Jennifer has gone public with a boyfriend since her split from husband Justin Theroux in 2017.

They were seen recently getting cosy while on vacation on the Spanish island of Mallorca.

“They are being super private but have been spending a lot of time together,” an unnamed source told Us Weekly. “They are happy and really into each other.”

The source added: “They’ve been hanging out a lot, but very much on the DL at her home in L.A… it’s very Zen, and she has always been very much into that. They’re a good match.”

Jennifer has been dropping hints that the pair are an item, including ‘liking’ many of Jim’s Instagram posts since May, including one about “a divorce, breakup or difficult romance.”

Jim then like her May 25 post which was a photo dump that included an image of his book, Shift: Quantum Manifestation Guide.

The wellness guru described his journey to become a hypnotist started with healing himself.

“After battling with a chronic illness for over 30 years, I learned how to heal and recover from the mental and physical pain it left me with,” Jim wrote on his website.

“Through doing the inner work, I not only changed my life, but I’ve helped thousands of others break free from their past to create an entirely new, empowered reality.”

Jennifer, 56, first met ex-husband and fellow actor, Justin in 2007, before beginning their relationship in 2011.

They married in 2015, announcing their split two years later and their subsequent divorce.

“This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year,” the two shared in a statement.

“We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.”

Before her relationship with Justin, Jennifer was married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005.

Despite a clamor for them to reunite romantically, they remain just good friends.

‘Slapstick of the year’ – Plymouth keeper trialist scores humiliating own goal as fans moan ‘kids’ stuff’

PLYMOUTH’S trialist goalkeeper had a horror first run out in an Argyle shirt after letting in “the worst own goal ever seen”.

The Pilgrims, who were relegated to League One last term, began their pre-season tour on Friday, facing Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig.

Tom Cleverley suffered a defeat in his first game in charge following his departure from Watford, with his new side losing 1-0.

And unfortunately for the Pilgrims’ trialist, he was to blame for the goal.

Plymouth were passing the ball back to the newcomer, with the final pass back to the goalkeeper coming from what should have been an easy angle for a routine recycle of play.

Footage shows the glovesman looked to hit the ball first time along the ground and back up the pitch.

However, he unfortunately mishit his pass, sending the ball into the inside of his own net.

To be fair, it was quite a good finish.

Fans watching from home – some clearly still reeling from their relegation – were furious.

One said: “Ah wow, that’s awful. Kids stuff.”

A second replied: “It might be the worst own goal I’ve ever seen.”

A third added: “Slapstick of the year.”

A few fans decided to laugh rather than cry though, with one joking: “That’s it, we’re going to win the league!”

One more quipped: “Picks out the bottom corner wonderfully from a tight angle.

“Stick him up top for the second-half!”

According to the Plymouth Herald, it was former Fulham goalkeeper Luca Ashby-Hammond in between the sticks.

The 24-year-old never made a first team appearance for the Cottagers but played 48 times for their Under-21s.

After numerous loans in the EFL, including with Crawley Town, Notts County and Gillingham, he was released by the Premier League club at the end of last season.

‘We’ve seen population dropping’, says principal of Cork island school at risk of closure as perks for pupils revealed

THE principal of a small island school at risk of closure due to plummeting numbers has revealed the special perks enjoyed by children who attend.

Scoil Naisiunta Inis Chleire, located on the picturesque island of Cape Clear, off the coast of Cork, is one of the last island primary schools in the country.

The 129-year-old Irish-speaking school recently launched an appeal urging families with young children to move to the island after only three kids enrolled for the next school year.

School principal Brid Ni Ghriofa has seen many appeals like this before.

Brid, who has been an island resident for nearly 40 years, said: “Over the years, we’ve seen the population dropping, and at various times, we would look to a campaign. That has happened over the years, and many campaigns have been successful.

“At different times, different families came for different lengths of time. It doesn’t have to be a whole year. It could be just a few months, and that still adds to our school.”

However, Brid said that this feels more urgent than in previous years.

She explained: “Well, the numbers are low, and they were low a few years ago as well.

“The school will continue to be open. It’s just that we would like a bigger school population.”

Brid urges families, particularly Irish speakers, to think of moving to the island.

She says: “I think the school is an ideal for people who are interested in Irish because it is part of the Gaeltacht.

“We achieved our Sceim Gaeltachta, and that means that all of our junior infants that come in they don’t do any English for the first two years.

She added: “It would be great for them also because we have such low numbers, there is a lot of one-to-one time with teachers.

“This means that a child who maybe has difficulties with learning would get a great deal of attention.

Brid notes that there are many benefits to living on the island, not just for the kids, but for parents as well.

ISLAND LIFE

She said: “Those who are interested in nature and would like to have the time out from maybe living in a town, live a different way of life for a short while or a long time, maybe they come here for a short time and then find themselves here for many years.

“When I came back in 1989, we thought we’d stay here for maybe two years and then move away. But we didn’t. We brought up our children here, and they went to school and certainly enjoyed it.”

The island’s development agency is currently offering two low-cost rental properties for September to incentivise young families to move to the island.

Amenities such as cheap long-term rental accommodation and fibre broadband are being advertised in an attempt to draw visitors to the island.

JOB OPPORTUNITY

A €35,000-a-year tourist manager job is also being offered, in order to manage the Cape Clear Fastnet Experience and Heritage Centre, a site which received €1million from Failte Ireland and Udaras na Gaeltachta last year.

While families with a competent level of Irish are considered preferable, the island is also keen to attract families from various backgrounds and nationalities.

The island currently boasts a local bus service, a public library, a public health nurse, two pubs, and its own postal service.

However, with the number of children enrolled for the next school year down to just three from 15 in 2015, newcomers are urgently needed to keep the island’s vibrant community afloat.

The island, notably already boasts a varied community, with residents from France, Germany, Ukraine, America, and Scotland.

Shamed coach George Gibney in wheelchair for court extradition case to agree Ireland return over 79 sex abuse charges

FORMER Irish Olympic swimming coach George Gibney appeared before an American court in a wheelchair today where he agreed to be extradited back to Ireland to face historical sexual abuse charges.

The 77-year-old faces 78 counts of indecent assault and one count of attempted rape against four girls aged between the ages of eight and 14 at the time of the alleged offences.

Mr Gibney was required to appear in court before Judge Daniel C Irick at the US Middle District Court in Orlando for a hearing on his continued detention.

But Judge Irick said “things have changed” and confirmed he had accepted Mr Gibney’s signed affidavit which had been lodged overnight.

The judge went through each line of the document with Mr Gibney, who was wheeled into court wearing a navy Orange County jumpsuit, to confirm that he understood what he had signed.

After confirming under oath his name, Mr Gibney responded: “Yes”, when asked by the judge: “Do you admit you are the individual whom charges are pending against?”

He also told Judge Irick that he did not have any medical condition or mental issue, but said he was taking medication for “high blood pressure and things like that”.

His US Assistant Public Defender Aisha Nash said Mr Gibney was “in desperate need of glasses” but that he understood he was waiving his right to a hearing and consenting to extradition.

When asked by the judge if he understood that he could challenge the request to have him extradited and face the charges, Gibney replied: “Oh, I will.”

His attorney clarified to her client that while he could challenge the case against him in Ireland, he could not do so in the US, to which Gibney confirmed that he understood.

On Thursday night, Mr Gibney, with an address in Altamont Springs Orlando, submitted an affidavit to the court, dated July 9, stating he was advised of his rights by his attorney and had agreed to waive them.

In the affidavit he asked the court “to expedite my return, in custody, to Ireland”.

WAIVER OF RIGHTS

The document reads: “I admit that I am the individual against whom charges are pending in Ireland and for whom process is outstanding there.

“I fully understand that in the absence of a waiver of my rights, I cannot be compelled to return to Ireland unless and until a court in the United States issues a ruling certifying my extradition and the Secretary of State of the United States issues a warrant of surrender.”

Mr Gibney went on to state that he has reviewed the complaint against him and that he fully understands his right to a hearing “at which my counsel and I could challenge the extradition request presented by the Government of Ireland”.

‘WAIVE MY RIGHTS’

But added: “I hereby waive my rights under the extradition treaty and the applicable sections of Title 18 of the United States Code, and agree to be transported in custody, as soon as possible, to Ireland, and to remain in custody of the United States Marshal pending the arrival of duly authorised representatives from Ireland.”

Once details of his flights and his court appearance in Ireland have been arranged, he will be brought back to Ireland by the Garda Extradition Unit.

Two officers from the unit will travel to the US to bring him back to the capital.

Before moving to America in 1995, Gibney was charged with 27 crimes against children.

He took a High Court case against the charges and in 1994, the High Court and Supreme Court both ruled the allegations were “too old” and the charges were struck out.

Putin’s elite commander of bloodthirsty brigade accused of horror war crimes and massacres wiped out in Ukraine strike

VLADIMIR Putin’s brutal war machine was dealt another blow today as Moscow confirmed the death of another top Russian military chief.

Russian authorities have confirmed the death of Colonel Sergei Ilyin, commander of Russia’s notorious 155th Marine Brigade.

Telegram news channel Astra reported the Colonel’s death on Friday, citing a now-deleted post from officials, the Moscow Times has reported.

Ilyin had died “during the special military operation” according to a post attributed to the Urmarsky district administration.

“Special military operation” is the euphemism used by Kremlin authorities when referring to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

It follows speculation that the Colonel was among the Russian military figures killed during Ukrainian attacks in Korenevo in Russia‘s Kursk Oblast on July 2.

The 155th Separate Marine Brigade has been accused by Kyiv of committing numerous war crimes in Ukraine.

Its members have been linked to crimes during the occupation of Bucha, Irpin, and Hostome in the full-scale invasion’s early days.

While the post cited by Astra did not list a specific date of death, a photo of his apparent funeral billboard showed his birth and death dates as November 26, 1985, and July 2, 2025.

It makes Ilyin the latest of several high ranking Russian military officials to be killed since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022.

As many as 10 Russian generals have died – as well as 524 colonels and lieutenant colonels – according to the BBC Russia service.

Reports have also circulated that officers, including Navy Deputy Commander Mikhail Gudkov, met their ends in a Ukrainian missile strike in Russia’s Kursk region.

Ukrainian forces launched a surprise incursion into Kursk Oblast in August 2024, although Russia recaptured most of this land during Spring 2025 with the help of North Korean soldiers.

Russia’s defence ministry said Gudkov died “during combat duty” on July 2 but did not specify the precise cause of death.

Putin’s forces have suffered astronomical losses since the 2022 invasion – including many members of the Kremlin’s top military brass.

Among them is Lieutenant General Alexander Tatarenko, 63, who was among 10 military officers killed in a blast on the Belbek airbase in occupied Crimea last year.

In late November 2023, Russia also lost Major-General Vladimir Zavadsky, 45, deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps.

The number of casualties sustained by the Russian military passed the bloody one million milestone last month, according to analysts.

Dr Stephen Hall, politics lecturer at the University of Bath, told The Sun at the time:

“Putin believes he’s winning the war. The Russian army is moving forward like it or not.

“He believes that he can outlast the West, that the West is weak.”

It comes as Russia continues to horrifically barrage Ukraine with devastating drone strikes.

Donald Trump raged that he was “very unhappy” about a recent phone call with Putin and the ensuing Russian strikes.

A top Ukrainian special operations chief was killed in a suspected Russian hit this week.

Pro-Putin sources gloated that a Kremlin agent had taken out Colonel Ivan Voronich for running secret operations behind Russian lines.

Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez fell to floor with dizziness due to ‘dangerous’ heat at Club World Cup

ENZO FERNANDEZ revealed he fell to the floor with dizziness due to the ‘dangerous’ heat at the Club World Cup.

Chelsea’s vice-captain claims he had to take emergency action when extreme temperatures made him feel unwell during a match.

Fifa’s revamped 32-team competition has been dogged by concerns over the timing of the event during summer in the US and afternoon kick-offs that suit European TV schedules.

Argentine Fernandez said: “The truth is, the heat is incredible. The other day I got a little dizzy in the game. I had to throw myself to the ground because I was really dizzy.

“The truth is, playing in that temperature is very dangerous. It’s very dangerous. And, obviously, for the spectacle, for the people who come to enjoy the stadium, and for the people who watch at home, the speed of the game isn’t the same.

“Everything feels very slow. We hope they change the schedule next year so that it’s a spectacle and football continues to be enjoyable and attractive.”

Heatwaves during the early stages of the Club World Cup touched 39 degrees while Chelsea were based in Philadelphia.

Boss Enzo Maresca claimed it was ‘almost impossible’ to train during the day.

Large scale misting fans constantly spray the players and coaches in the dugouts with cold water while matches are going on.

Italian side Juventus claimed ten of their players asked to be substituted because of the extreme heat.

Chelsea’s round of 16 knockout match win over Benfica was held up for almost two hours because of lightning from summer storms.

The US is hosting the 48-team international World Cup next summer when the weather will be much the same.

To have a high-profile player like Fernandez go to such lengths with his complaints is not a good look for the organising body.

Many players have said it is too hot during the day to play to their full potential. Some have said it should not be an excuse.

Fernandez’s team-mate Levi Colwill said: “Everyone is playing in the heat so we can’t make excuses on our side. We’ve just got to handle it.”

Fernandez, 24, was part of the Argentina side which won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar – when it was switched to December to make use of cooler daytime temperatures.

Chelsea will cap an impressive season by adding the Club World Cup to the Conference League trophy which they won in May – if they can upset the odds and beat favourites Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.

Fernandez wears the captain’s armband whenever first-choice skipper Reece James is not available.

He said: “A few years ago I arrived at the club and became captain, and that means I’m doing something right. I’m also very grateful to the coaching staff that selected me.

“The club put their faith in me and today, obviously, the responsibility is to train well every day, be there for my team-mates, and always give my best.

“I like playing in finals. I’ve been lucky enough to win most of them. I’m going to enjoy it. It’s not like the one in the World Cup but it’s going to be enjoyable.

“The truth is I have achieved some very nice things on a personal level but being in a hotel for a month hasn’t been easy at all. Enjoying time with family when I can is very important to me.”

There is good news for Chelsea as it appears key midfielder Moises Caicedo has recovered from an ankle problem which forced him off at the end of the semi-final victory over Fluminense.

Fernandez said: “Today we just started preparing; we rested yesterday.

Moises is fine. He’s definitely going to train. He’s already preparing now.

We have a training session now, and we’re preparing to do our best.”

Geri Horner ‘set for own Netflix series like Meghan Markle’ after husband Christian’s Red Bull axing

GERI Horner is reportedly in discussions with Netflix to develop a high-profile reality series.

The Spice Girl is said to be in talks for a “glossy reality show” similar in tone to With Love, Meghan, the lifestyle-focused Netflix series created by Meghan Markle.

But Geri has carefully cultivated a new ‘lady of the manor’ image[/caption]

MailOnline reports Geri’s proposed series would offer a glimpse into her personal and professional life, blending celebrity access with aspirational storytelling.

The move could signal Geri’s return to the spotlight as she steps out from the shadow of her husband’s high-profile motorsport career.

Meghan Markle’s With Love, Meghan showcased the Duchess of Sussex’s take on wellness, home life, and philanthropy.

The series was both mocked and praised for its polished presentation and behind-the-scenes look at Markle’s post-royal life.

However, it comes at a pivotal time for Geri’s family – after husband Christian Horner was sacked earlier this week following ongoing internal tensions at Red Bull Racing.

It has been reported Horner “wants quiet time with Geri and the family” following his dramatic exit from Formula 1 team Red Bull this week.

The now former Red Bull team principal was axed on Wednesday after 20 years in charge, a year on from being accused of sexual harassment and coercive, controlling behaviour by a female employee.

He denied the accusations throughout the scandal.

Horner and his wife have been seen together in public as a united front since the scandal last February.

Horner was in tears as he addressed his ‘shock’ sacking and received a standing ovation at Red Bull HQ in Milton Keynes.

He said: “Yesterday, I was informed by Red Bull that operationally I would no longer be involved with the business or the team moving forward.

“I will still remain employed by the company, but, operationally the baton will be handed over.

“It came as a shock to myself. I’ve had a chance to reflect over the last 12 hours and wanted to stand in front of all of you to break this news.

“And to express my gratitude to each and every single member of the team that has given so much during the last 20-and-a-half years that I’ve been here.

“When I arrived 20 years ago, with a few less grey hairs, I walked into a team and did not know what to expect but I was immediately welcomed and we started to build what became a powerhouse in F1.

“Watching and being part of this team has been the biggest privilege of my life.”

A source told The Sun that the tears during his farewell speech were “actually about Geri”.

The source said: “Christian is of course desperately sad that his career has ended this way.

“He also had the shock news about his ex wife’s death just a few days before. But the emotion he showed during his teary speech was actually about Geri.

“He fears his sacking is yet another crisis for his marriage to face after an incredibly difficult year.

“Geri has already begun distancing herself by going by Halliwell-Horner when writing her books.

“Although she’s still totally invested in her marriage, she wants to focus on herself and protecting her own image.”

Geri and her husband enjoy a luxurious yet warm countryside lifestyle spread across two stunning estates in Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire.

Their listed Oxfordshire mansion includes a boating lake, greenhouse, stables for up to 14 horses, and a working farmyard.

The Sun has contacted a representative for Geri for comment.

Britney Spears biopic ‘grinding to a halt’ as reason for star getting cold feet about project revealed

An image collage containing 1 images, Image 1 shows Britney Spears at the GLAAD Media Awards

WHEN BRITNEY SPEARS sold the film rights to her warts-and-all life story last year, her fans were overjoyed.

They believed their idol was on her way back to pop superstardom.

Especially with the musical biopic of her No1 bestseller, The Woman In Me, set to be directed by Jon M Chu, who masterminded box-office smash, Wicked.

But, almost a year on I’m told the project has ground to a halt.

Insiders say Universal Pictures are now “not going at full speed” into the much-publicised project with concerns Britney is getting cold feet.

An LA producer revealed: “The wheels have come to a grinding halt on Britney. There was a lot of excitement about acquiring the rights to The Woman In Me, but then Britney had some concerns.

“She found discussing her past very traumatic and it prompted negative thoughts.

‘Our moment’

“So for that stuff to then be put together in a film version and visually relived is a real issue. Jon and Britney need time to work through his vision of the film and her needs too. That just has not materialised so far.”

My insider added: “’Everything has come to a halt. Jon has a lot of other projects to get on with.

“He doesn’t need to wait around given he is one of the hottest names in the business.”

In January, Jon hinted things hadn’t got off to the fastest of starts. He said: “I can’t talk about the Britney project. We are very, very early, I’ve seen a lot of headlines, which are ahead of the ball.”

Asked if the Toxic hitmaker would be involved, Jon coyly added: “Yes, we had to get her book, right? So she is involved. But we will see what happens from there.”

Britney is thought to be a contributor to the script and production, which the director insists will treat her “empathetically”.

Currently it is unknown how extreme key moments in her life — such as her abortion while dating Justin Timberlake, and drug and alcohol battles — will be portrayed on camera.

Jon said: “We are at the beginning of that process and we just want to do her right and tell the story that she deserves.

“So we’ll take it step by step. I think the way is very slowly and empathetically.”

Hinting Britney still needs some persuasion in putting her life on the big screen, he added: “The only support we have is because nobody else outside of our circle knows the secret of what we’re doing.

“And I think that starts from the very beginning of saying, ‘Listen, we’re going to jump out of this plane together and we’re going to have to build a parachute.

“And we have to be willing to actually hit the ground. And once you get over that, we could fail, but we have to do this. This is our moment’.”

Universal Pictures won the rights to Britney’s critically-acclaimed New York Times bestseller last summer.

She is one of the most iconic artists, so I don’t mind waiting for the biopic — so long as it is amazing.
