SHIRLEY Ballas has sparked speculation that Bruno Tonioli could be returning to Strictly Come Dancing after the head judge shared a cryptic Instagram post.
The BBC star posted a photo alongside Bruno, captioning it, “Just can’t wait to be back”.

InstagramStrictly’s head judge Shirley Ballas dropped a huge hint that Bruno could be returning to Strictly[/caption]
The timing of her post coincides with mounting reports that he is preparing to quit Britain’s Got Talent after just two series.
Bruno, known for his flamboyant judging style, joined Strictly in 2004 and was a fixture on the panel until 2019.
He took a break during the pandemic due to transatlantic travel complications while filming Dancing with the Stars in the United States, and officially stepped down from Strictly in 2022.
He was replaced by long-time professional dancer Anton Du Beke, who was later confirmed as a full-time judge in 2022.
Bruno’s exit was never positioned as permanent, leaving the possibility of a return open.
Now his future on Britain’s Got Talent appears to be in question due to scheduling conflicts with his U.S. commitments.
Bruno was brought onto BGT in 2023 following the departure of David Walliams, a decision personally backed by Simon Cowell despite speculation that comedian Alan Carr would take the role.
A television insider said that changes to BGT’s 2025 filming timetable have made Bruno’s continued presence on the show increasingly difficult.
A TV insider said: “The filming schedule in 2024 meant that Bruno could get away with not being present for filming one week of auditions.
“But it would be virtually impossible for him to miss two weeks, because in the final edit, that equates to half the episodes in the new three-month run of BGT, which will air from February of 2026.”
Last year the show was able to work around Bruno’s availability by splitting audition weeks.
KSI stood in for him during Blackpool tapings in October, while Bruno returned for auditions in London in January.
However, this year all auditions are set to be recorded back-to-back over a single fortnight in October across Blackpool and Birmingham, overlapping directly with Dancing with the Stars filming in the U.S.
With his exit looking increasingly likely, attention has turned to potential replacements.
KSI, who impressed viewers during last year’s Blackpool auditions and during a guest appearance on the live semi-finals, is seen as a leading candidate.
Alan Carr, a close friend of Amanda Holden and original favourite to replace Walliams, is also expected to be in the running.

The maxi gown is a sophisticated staple for summer getaways and outings, and it’s sure to make heads turn on a chic evening with your friends or family.
The neutral dress, which is available in sizes UK 6 to UK 24, has been designed in a flowing shape – ideal for comfort if you want to stay cool or feel bloated.
The show-stopper of a dress features a classy halter neck and cut-out detailing just above the chest.
Finished with a leaf print at the hem, this stunning number is an elegant addition to your collection this summer.
The styling options are also seemingly endless – dress it up with strappy heels and statement earrings for a classy dinner, or just throw it on with flip flops for an effortless look on the beach with a bikini underneath.
You can find the frock in store and online, but you’ll have to be quick to avoid missing out.
Reviewing the five-star dress, one fashion fan said: ”Been looking for this shape and style of dress at a high street level for a while.
”Bought the 10 (am usually a 10-12, am 5ft 6 for reference) and this is a good fit and length for me. It’s a bit roomy over the bust but I am on the smaller side on top.
”For a little more money I would have loved the inclusion of pockets (it has none). More colours please.
How to dress in a heatwave
SUMMER is finally here with temperatures soaring this weekend, but it has been so long since we dressed for the warmer weather - what should we wear? The Sun’s fashion team is here to help with a cut-out-and-keep guide to heatwave attire.
Clemmie Fieldsend and Abby McHale reveal the ultimate dos and don’ts so that you never suffer from unsightly tan lines, sweaty patches or wardrobe malfunctions again.
Cover up While you might be tempted to put on your skimpiest outfit when the mercury rises above 25C, it has actually been proven that staying covered up can keep you cooler. We’re not saying wear your winter coat and wrap up. You should wear a light breathable fabric such as cotton – look for flowy midi skirts, dresses or wide leg trousers which will billow and create a nice cool breeze for you as you walk.
Prepare for extremes With our unpredictable weather, it’s not uncommon to see either someone in hotpants with goose-pimpled legs after an unexpected downpour, or at the other end of the spectrum, someone still wearing their winter tights in 30C heat. When you’re on the fence, opt for a loose co-ord that will keep you cool but not expose you to the elements if it rains.
Wear shorts Yes, you can wear shorts – and at any age. The key is getting the length just right and longer shorts are all the rage this year. Short shorts are of course allowed but they won’t make you any cooler. If anything, micro-shorts can make you feel hotter. Plus, they are wedgie inducing, often too tight and often show off rather too much bum cheek.
Wear white White is not the easiest to keep clean but it is the best shade for a heatwave, and looks effortlessly chic. It doesn’t absorb light like black but instead, reflects it. It’s also a shade that never goes out of style. If you do get the odd suncream smear on your whites, quickly dab with hand soap and water, rub in with a brush and then wash as normal.
Don’t show bra straps Whilst everyone wants to wear strappy clothing in the summer, there really is nothing classy about your bra straps being on show – especially when they’re the opposite colour to your top. Instead, if you are plumping for a strappy top, stick a strapless bra underneath.
Don’t attempt a boob tube The boob tube has got to be one of the most faffy and unflattering pieces of clothing you can own. Yes, you will avoid shoulder strap tan lines, but you will spend the whole day pulling your top up and trying to keep your boobs in place. Come evening, you will have grubby fingerprints all over and will have no doubt experienced the odd nip slip.
Don’t choose espadrilles Espadrille wedges were once Kate Middleton’s go-to summer shoe but they have well and truly fallen off the fashion wagon. While noughties ballet flats are back, the espadrille is yet to have its revival. It’s one of those fashion items that Gen Z won’t be seen dead in, and have even dubbed ‘the granny sandal’. For now, opt for a ballet flat or a sandal.
Don’t wear crochet The crochet trend is nice enough and while it looks great on the likes of Love Island presenter Maya Jama, it’s simply not practical. If the sun is out, chances are, you’ll end up with tragic tan lines like a mosaic. Plus, it’s essentially knitwear – hot and itchy. For men, knitted polos have also crept into the fashion fold, masquerading as summer wear but they are made from synthetic materials and induce swear. Wear at your own risk.
”Light weight beige requires skin colour underwear – but as it is floaty you can’t see everything underneath which is good.”
Another fan of the supermarket said: ”Perfect fit! As it was a flowy dress I sized down and I’m so glad I did- beautiful dress looks so chic and expensive I have worn my with a little waist belt and looks fab!”
Someone else was just as thrilled with their purchase and described the affordable dress as ”absolutely gorgeous”.
”I’m normally a 10-12, but bought a 10. Fits lovely and looks / feels more expensive than it is!”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: ”I put this in my basket 3 times, went to checkout and it was removed due to being out of stock(lots of demand) finally got my hands on it and wow!
”Love it, perfect for round bellies like myself but still wanting to look and feel super comfy, this is the one for you!”

Liverpool players also carried flowers in tribute to Jota, who died in a car crash with his brother Andre Silva.
There will be a rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone and a minute’s silence on Sunday at Liverpool’s friendly at Preston North End.
Dad-of-three Jota, 28, and Silva, 25, died when the Lamborghini they were in burst into flames after a suspected tyre blowout.
He had married partner Cardoso just 11 days before the crash.
Police said Jota was driving when he crashed his rental acid green Lamborghini near Zamora, Spain, on July 3.
The brothers were en route to the Spanish port city of Santander to catch a ferry to the UK after the Portugal star was urged not to travel by plane following lung surgery.
They were laid to rest after a heartbreaking funeral attended by his family, friends and Liverpool teammates last Saturday.
Liverpool stars Virgil Van Dijk and Andy Robertson led mourners with two touching wreathes emblazoned with Diogo’s number 20 and André’s number 30.
Portugal’s head coach Roberto Martinez spoke after the ceremony and described how the days since their tragic deaths had been “really, really sad” but the funeral today showed “we are a very large, close family”.
Martinez went on to say it was “essential” for Portugal to show “we are together,” adding the brothers’ spirits will be “with us forever”.
He said: “So thank you very much for your messages and for your support and everything that we receive [from] all over the world.
“Today we are all one football family.”
Liverpool manager Arne Slot was there with his players – including Reds stars Joe Gomez, Darwin Nunez and Alexis Mac Allister.
Former teammates Jordan Henderson and James Milner were also in attendance.
Some of Jota’s international teammates present at the ceremony were Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, Chelsea’s Joao Felix and Manchester City‘s Bernardo Silva.
A huge crowd of mourners gathered outside the church and showed support for the brothers’ friends, family, coaches and teammates as they walked in procession.
The service was private but a live audio feed was played outside the church.
Addressing Jota’s children, who were not at the service, as well as their mother and grandparents, the Gondomar priest was heard saying in the broadcast: “There are no words, but there are feelings.
“We also suffer a lot and we are with you emotionally.”

I AM hanging upside down and soaring through the air at 75mph – but it’s the scenery that’s really taken my breath away.
I’m at Cilento in Volo, a zip-line experience in the picturesque town of Trentinara, in south-western Italy.
Sitting a little south of the Amalfi Coast, this area is stunning.

CollectJust a 20-minute drive away is Paestum, a fascinating archaeological park and a must-see[/caption]
And I should know. After all, I have just taken it all in from a bird’s eye viewpoint reaching thrilling heights of 985ft amid the coastal mountains, rolling hills and forests of Cilento National Park.
And it’s now easier than ever to reach this region, in the province of Salerno, with British Airways having recently added a new BA Euroflyer (Gatwick short-haul) route to Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport.
Luckily, this slice of Italian paradise is not overpopulated with tourists like its widely known neighbours, Positano, Ravello and Sorrento.
So when I’m back on solid ground, I’m able to take in the sights of charming Trentinara away from the crowds.
Also known as the “town of love”, thanks to an ancient legend about doomed lovers, Trentinara has plenty to offer along its historic stone streets and winding alleyways (that are particularly appealing at sunset).
Among them, you’ll find the warmly welcoming Paolino 848 — a wine bar and restaurant serving platters of antipasto, cheese with truffle honey (a revelation), filled focaccia and hearty meatballs.
I leave contentedly stuffed.
Trentinara’s hill-top position means its panoramic piazza offers unbeatable views over the Cilento Coast and the Gulf of Salerno.
Just a 20-minute drive away is Paestum, a fascinating archaeological park and a must-see.
Here, in what was once a major ancient city founded by Greek colonists before it was captured by the Romans, stand three of the world’s best-preserved ancient Greek temples.
I position myself alongside the columns of one of them, the magnificent Tempio di Nettuno, for a true sense of scale — and it dwarfs me.
The columns somewhat remind me of those in the lobby of the Savoy Hotel & Spa Paestum, not far from here, where I am staying.
Nestled among pine groves, just steps from the Tyrrhenian Sea, it’s the perfect base for exploring.
It even has its own Beach Club 93, with plush cabanas, loungers, a pool, bar, restaurant and a private, sandy beach.
This 7,500sq ft sanctuary offers three temperature-controlled pools, a salt cave, ice room, Turkish bath and a number of treatment options. Within seconds in this space, I’m totally at ease
Sipping a cocktail here at sunset, gazing out across the sea, I’ve never felt more content. Apart from when I’m in the hotel’s Holos Spa.
You’ll hear dolphins

For dinner, there’s a relaxed eatery, Bistrot Olivella, as well as a stunning Michelin-starred restaurant, Tre Olivi, which focuses on delicious ingredients from the hotel’s impressive kitchen garden — my dining experience is unforgettable.
If you’d rather head out for food, the nearby La Dispensa di San Salvatore offers farm-to-table dining featuring the freshest fare from the San Salvatore farm. In the kitchen, Italian nonnas, make seasonal, sustainable dishes as their own mothers and grandmothers once did.
Nonna Lucia walks out to the sunny dining terrace where I’m sat and it’s here, at the end of a group table, that she makes and shapes the fresh pasta that I’ll soon be savouring (along with bowls of fresh salads, helpings of the finest buffalo mozzarella and wines including San Salvatore’s award-winning Vetere rosé).
This is Italian food made with passion, freshness and authenticity.
No visit to Cilento is complete without a trip to the enchanting hilltop town of Castellabate.
Alleyways and cobbled streets weave through its ancient walls and its famed terrace offers panoramic views across the coastline and nearby villages.
CollectNonna Lucia at La Dispensa di San Salvatore[/caption]
It’s from the nearby postcard-pretty fishing port, San Marco di Castellabate, that I take a boat trip along that coastline — calm turquoise waters, alluring beaches and haze-kissed mountains. San Marco’s picturesque sister town, Santa Maria di Castellabate, is worth seeing too.
I can safely say this extraordinary region of southern Italy has wowed me on all fronts from every angle. Even upside down.

SONAY KARTAL stuck true to her word – by getting her Wimbledon-inspired latest tattoo.
And she even went one better by getting TWO tattoos done in one go.

The British tennis ace, 23, enjoyed another stunning run at the All England Club at the 2025 Championships.
Kartal reached the fourth round after wins over No20 seed Jelena Ostapenko, Viktoriya Tomova and Diane Parry.
Kartal said: “If people want to send me their ideas, I’ll most likely pick one of them and chuck it on somewhere.”
And she lived up to the promise by heading to a tattoo parlour in her native Brighton.
In the video posted by the LTA, Kartal talked through the designs with the artist before settling on two tattoos – one on each forearm.
The first was specifically a nod to playing on tennis’ most famous court for the first time.

A huge rumble of thunder and lightning struck at the exact moment Kartal walked out on Centre Court.
And that was the inspiration behind the first tatt – a thunder cloud with a lightning bolt through it.
Kartal explained: “Last week was the dream week. Walking out on Centre Court is something you dream of as a little kid, so hitting that one was massive.
“Every time I see this, it just reminds me of Centre Court. That moment of walking out – special one that one.”
“As soon as I came off, my DMs were like, ‘You’ve got to get the thunder lightning.’ And I was like, ‘That’s such a good idea.’
“People were saying get a strawberry because that represents Wimbledon.

“But I wanted something that wasn’t cliche, that if you know about it, then you’re going to know but if you’re not, you’re going to have no idea.”
The second tattoo was the number 329 – her number representing Great Britain when she made her live Billie Jean King Cup debut in April.
Kartal added: “329 was another tattoo promise I made that if I played a live Billie Jean King Cup tie, then I would get my LTA Colour Holder number tattooed somewhere I can see it.
“Two [wins] from two on the debut. It was the dream debut, couldn’t have gone any better.”
Kartal also gave some explanation to her host of other tattoos, revealing the first one was a “bit of a drunken one” and her most meaningful is the paw print of her dog who passed away.

ANTHONY ELANGA has become Newcastle United’s first summer signing in a £55million deal from Nottingham Forest.
The Swedish international, 23, has penned a five-year deal on Tyneside as Eddie Howe finally got his man.
Anthony Elanga netted six times last term for Nottingham ForestGetty
Toon failed in an effort to bring the winger to St. James’ last year and then had a £45m bid rejected last month for the star.
But now Elanga will finally pull on the Black and White and he cannot wait to start providing the ammunition for his national team-mate Alexander Isak.
An elated Elanga said: “I’m excited, I’m really happy but most importantly I’m ready.
“I’m ready to put on this black and white top to really fight for this team and give everything for the passionate fanbase that lives and breathes football.
“I had an amazing two years at Nottingham Forest, they really helped me to become the player I am today, but I’m really happy to be here now.
“The club won a trophy last season and are building something unique, something special that I really want to be part of.
“I really want to buy into the culture, into the DNA of this club. I’m really happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started.”
They’ve pocketed a £5m windfall as part of the £15m transfer move that took Elanga to Forest in 2023.
The speedster scored six goals and provided 11 assists to help Nuno Espirito Santo’s side finish seventh and qualify for the Europa Conference League last term.
Forest will not only have to look to sign a replacement for Elanga, but could now also have to fill a Morgan Gibbs-White-sized hole in the team.

THE Duchess of Edinburgh spoke of her pride after delivering a message of “hope and reconciliation” from the King at a service in the memory of thousands killed in the Srebrenica genocide.
Sophie, who fights to raise awareness of female victims in war zones, hugged and chatted over coffee with the brave Mothers of Srebrenica who have campaigned for justice for the past 30 years.

And speaking to The Sun at a cemetery for the remains of 7,000 slaughtered, she said: “through educating ourselves about the sadness” that has happened we become “stronger” and “ensure it doesn’t happen again”.
She also told The Sun: “It can be small acts that can make the biggest differences.”
Sophie also queued with other dignitaries who attended the 30th anniversary commemorations to lay flowers and have a moment of reflection at a memorial in the cemetery.
She later read the King’s powerful message at a packed commemoration ceremony.
Speaking to The Sun afterwards, she said: “Whenever I’m asked to deliver a message on behalf of the King it’s a huge honour and I think his words always carry a lot of weight.
“He has a personal affiliation for this part of the world, he feels very deeply and passionately about what happened, but also about peace and reconciliation.
“So it was a real pleasure and honour to deliver those words.
“For myself, meeting with the Mothers of Srebrenica, they are very much the peace builders here.
“So they’ve managed to live with their grief but alongside all of that they’ve been sending a very clear message that they need resolution, reconciliation and need to bury their loved ones.
“And they’ve helped so many thousands of families find that peace and reconciliation.
“For many of them we are talking about families who have lost from one, two to 30, 40 or 50 members of their family. It’s shocking to think it happened.
“To see those images (in the factory exhibition) I remember watching the footage on television, of the men and boys behind the wire in the factory thinking they were somewhere safe, never really understanding what had happened. Knowing about it and not understanding.
“I would hope that people take note of this commemoration and perhaps do a bit more research because I think only by educating ourselves about the sadness that has happened to others that we become stronger in trying to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
“I’m hugely proud of what the United Kingdom does because our embassy here, successive ambassadors and their teams, work really hard to work alongside Bosnia and Herzegivians, and heard from the Mothers how grateful they are because we’ve been with them right from the beginning.
“And I know that the UK is held in high regard for that.
“And I know sometimes in the United Kingdom we get very focused on what we do in our own country but I’m lucky enough to be able to travel abroad and I see what we do from off our shores and I think we rightly be able to be proud of what we do because it does make a difference.
“And it can be small acts that can make the biggest differences.”
Inside the battery factory hall at the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial she read a message to other world leaders and human rights campaigners from King Charles.
Standing on a stage where around 25 speakers also spoke she told hundreds in the main hall that she had travelled with a “personal message” from “His Majesty King Charles”.
It read: “I am greatly saddened not to be with you in person today, on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide. I am most touched and grateful to be able to share these words as we pay our respects.
“I have spoken before about the terrible events of thirty years ago, confirmed as genocide by international courts. Many of the individuals responsible are now rightly facing justice, but this does not absolve the rest of us of our duties: both to acknowledge the international community’s failure to prevent the horror and to do all we can to ensure it never happens again.
“I humbly salute the Mothers of Srebrenica, and all who do so much, despite their continuing anguish, to preserve the memory of those who died. It has meant a very great deal to me, in past years, to have met survivors, mothers and family members of the missing, for whom I have such admiration.
“Their extraordinary courage, compassion and dignity are a lesson to us all, and it is my hope that we may all take inspiration from their incredible resilience under such unbearable circumstances.
“Let us also take inspiration from those who bravely speak out in pursuit of justice and those who dedicate their lives to rebuilding trust between communities for the sake of a better, shared future.
“These praiseworthy individuals can be found from all walks of life, and from across all ethnic groups, in Bosnia and Herzegovina and around the world.
“But there can be no shared future when the events of the past are denied or forgotten. Only by learning from the past does it become possible to share in each other’s loss and look together to the future. Only by working together to find the missing can there be closure for those still seeking answers.
“Three decades on, it is ever more important to remember all those who suffered, and to redouble our efforts to ensure a peaceful, stable future for all the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Today, as we remember the victims, those who so tragically died and those who were left behind, let us honour their memory by standing alongside each and every one of those who work so tirelessly to promote understanding and tolerance between all peoples, of all faiths, nationalities and ethnicities, in the ongoing pursuit of a just and brighter future.”
Sophie was greeted at the commemoration by members of the Mothers of Srebrenica and given a warm hug.
She also warmly embraced some of the grieving Mothers of Srebrenica who for 30 years have been campaigning for help to find remains of their missing loved ones.
She heard from one who had lost 23 members of her family.
She later discussed their efforts to find the remains of the missing killed in the 1992-95 Bosnian war.
And told them: “At least your voices can be heard and you aren’t just shouting in the wind. Your messages can be understood by people who make decisions.”
Telling them of the King’s warm words she said: “He has a fondness for this part of the world which is why he wanted me to deliver his message. It was a personal message from him.”
She earlier signed a condolence book which read: “Our duty must be to remember all those lost so tragically and to remember never let those things happen again. It’s only by working together that we find peace. Sophie.”
Tens of thousands of people attended the 30th anniversary commemorations held to remember and pay tribute to those lost in the 1995 genocide, which is the worse war crime on European soil since the Second World War.
