I thought I was having a ‘huge baby’ – then I ‘flooded the bed’ when I went into labour, people say it’s ‘wild’

A YOUNG mum reflected on the baffling experience she had after her water broke, and it wasn’t giving birth.

The woman had assumed she was having a “big baby” due to the size of her bump, but it wasn’t her

In her viral Instagram post, Emily Boazman (@emilyboazman) chronicled her “bizarre” labour story.

She received millions of views the first time she posted her unique story.

First, the mum showed her followers a clip of her large baby bump, which she noted was sitting “extremely high”.

Emily explained that she thought she was just expecting a “huge baby”.

However, she then cut in a clip of her sitting on the toilet in a hospital gown.

Watching the video, you would be forgiven for assuming Emily just had a full bladder.

As the never-ending flow continued, the Instagrammer’s sister revealed that the sound was actually her amniotic fluid.

“My water is broken, oh my god, it’s pouring out of me, it’s just not stopping,” Emily said from the toilet.

She showed her audience how her bump changed after she “lost buckets of amniotic fluid”.

“This was after my water broke and I flooded the bed, listen to what’s flowing out of me,” she captioned the clip from the bathroom.

Emily then showed a clip of her sitting on her hospital bed, showing how “it went down so much”.

The outline of her unborn son was clearly visible in the now much smaller bump.

Emily also recalled the relief she felt after the amniotic fluid emptied out.

“I’ll never forget how easy it became to breathe after I lost all that fluid,” she said.

“I had struggled to take a full breath from about 16 or 17 weeks on, and I felt so much pressure in my lungs which was very bizarre for me because that usually came later on in my pregnancies.”

Pregnancy Myths explained

There are a lot of strange myths around pregnancy - and some of them may surprise you...

  • Is it okay to eat prawns when you’re pregnant?
  • Can you have sex during a pregnancy?
  • Can you get a tattoo while you’re pregnant
  • Is it safe to take paracetamol when you’re pregnant?
  • Can you eat mozzarella when you’re pregnant?

She explained that her ultrasound at 20 weeks showed that her fluid was measuring on the “high end of normal” but “still within normal limits”.

“After that, I guess it must’ve really shot up,” Emily said.

She revealed that the fluid “just kept flowing all through that night and the next day”.

“There was so much fluid and I could never feel how big he was or his position,” the mum added.

Instagram users shared their thoughts on Emily’s experience in the comments section.

“That is wild seeing the baby’s outline so clearly afterwards,” wrote one viewer.

“Baby looks vacuum sealed after,” joked another follower.

“Absolutely NOTHING will ever convince me pregnancy is beautiful or worth it,” commented a third person.
