EasyJet served me ROTTEN ham on flight home… I turned green & now airline has been forced into food packaging overhaul

A DAD turned green after being served “rancid” ham covered in mould on an easyJet flight – with the airline subsequently ordering a packaging overhaul.

Idriss, 37, bought a Spanish tapas box for around £8 during a flight from Santorini to Gatwick on June 29.

But found the ham was rotting, despite being in date, with Idriss saying he was almost sick – and fears other passengers could be at risk.

As a result, the airline has now ordered a food supplier to implement “corrective measures” in the form of an improved packaging seal, The Sun can reveal.

Idriss told us: “When I opened up the pack of ham it was absolutely disgusting, in the top corner it was all really mouldy.

“It was really awful. It is lucky I didn’t eat it because with meat that’s gone off you could likely be very sick.”

However, musician Idriss, from Surrey, did initially accidentally put the rotten meat in his mouth and said it tasted of “sewage”.

The flight attendant offered a free replacement but Idriss declined, adding: “To be honest, it’s put me off ham. I don’t want to eat ham at all, it was so grim.

“Imagine if I’d have eaten it. With ham, or pig meat you have to be so careful – I could’ve literally been so ill.”

He added: “I don’t know how it can go off when it’s packed in that air tight.

“It did smell off, as soon as I opened it I could smell it.”

After emailing easyJet when he got home, the dad – who spends over £30,000 a year with the airline due to work travel commitments – he was told the issue was caused by “a broken packaging seal”.

In the email, seen by The Sun, Idriss was told: “After reviewing this incident, I can confirm that the mould was caused by a broken packaging seal.

“As a result, the supplier is implementing corrective measures by introducing a new packaging format with an improved sealing style.

“We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety across our operations and continue to closely monitor feedback related to food safety to ensure that all food supplied to our customers and crew is safe and of good quality.

“We apologise that your experience did not meet these expectations.”

An airline spokesperson told The Sun: “We take food safety onboard very seriously and as this is well below the standards we expect for our customers.

“We immediately raised [Idriss’] experience with our supplier who identified this isolated incident was caused by damaged packaging, and have taken steps to ensure this does not happen in future.

“We have been in touch with [Idriss’] to apologise and have offered a gesture of goodwill for his experience.”

Hollyoaks star breaks his silence after watching brother’s historic Wimbledon win

FORMER Hollyoaks star Parry Glasspool has congratulated his brother after he became Wimbledon doubles champion.

The actor – who played Harry Thompson in the Channel 4 soap – watched his brother Lloyd and partner Julian Cash overcame alternates Rinky Hijikata of Australia and David Pel from Holland 6-2 7-6 in 82 minutes on a hot afternoon on Centre Court.

Posting a video of the minute Lloyd and Julian won the match, Parry wrote: “Who would’ve thought it!

“Tennis every day for 25 years 🫠🫠 Looks like it paid off!

“MASSIVE CONGRATS to the Little/Big brother for his WIMBLEDON DOUBLES WIN!!

“Crazy scenes.”

Glasspool and Cash have dominated the grass-court season this summer, winning the titles at Queen’s and Eastbourne, stretching their unbeaten streak to 14 matches on the surface.

They are the first homegrown duo to take home these silver bowls since Pat Hughes and Raymond Tuckey in 1936.

The two guys shared a selfie on court when the result was confirmed and thanked their respective friends and family.

Glasspool’s fiancé is businesswoman and legal expert Sophia Maslin, from London, who has launched a company dedicated to drawing up the final wishes of people who die young.

Maslin was in the players’ box, screaming her head off as she always does, as the two lads worked out how to split a £680,000 top prize.

Glasspool said: “It’s incredible. We’ve had a Brit win last year (Henry Patten) and the year before (Neal Skupski). Now we have given you two Brits. We did our best.

“I want to thank all of my team. I’ve had people fly in from America, Italy, though coming from Birmingham is not as impressive.

“My fiancé Sophia has put up with me for the last two weeks, making her stay in bed until I wake up.

“All the LTA staff, who have given us massive support through my whole career, the coaches, the physios. They help us all through the year. We are incredibly grateful.”

Cash said: “We’ve played a crazy amount of tennis on the grass. Every match we possibly could.

“A lot of people were talking about this event. There was a lot of pressure on our shoulders.

“The fact we were able to do what everyone was talking about is surreal. This means the world.

“Going into this year we had two goals – the first one was to make Turin, the other one was to win a Slam.

“Our team backed us. We put so much effort in. Playing doubles, we aren’t always on the biggest courts, so to play on the most special court in the world is incredible.”

China unveils world’s largest $50MILLION inflatable dome over construction site – and its use will surprise you

CHINA has unveiled a massive inflatable dome in the middle of a major city to help shield residents from a construction site.

The whopping 50m-high inflatable is reported to be the largest of its kind in the world.

Measuring 20,000 square metres, the dome is designed to protect the surrounding neighbourhoods from dust and noise during construction.

A viral video shows the incredible moment the inflatable swallows up the building site in the city of Jinan.

Viewers can see the dome gradually inflating to its enormous size through a jaw-dropping timelapse.

Mao Ning, a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry, revealed the giant dome in a Facebook post on July 2.

The balloon uses negative pressure and air filtration systems to stop construction dust affecting nearby areas, according to Times Now News.

Its design is said to allow for easy inflation and dismantling so it can be deployed where needed quickly.

The dome is made from lightweight PVDF-coated polyester, with four big fans keeping it inflated.

Transparent panels let in natural sunlight, allowing the inside to keep well lit during the day without the need for artificial lighting, the Bridge Chronicle has reported.

But the viral clip has also drawn a lot of attention on TikTok, with many users sharing their reactions to the vast inflatable.

One user jested: “This is really dangerous because if it gets too big it becomes really soft and a giant might see it and come to take a nap.”

But another said it is “such a clever way to protect both the environment and the people living nearby”.

“How does one even manufacture a single sheet that large?”, asked another.

It comes as China continues to face issues with many of its major construction projects.

A giant skyscraper in the city of Tianjin had stood unfinished for nearly a decade before construction was resumed.

The Goldin Finance 117 in Northern China is twice as high as The Shard in London

Goldin Finance 117, nicknamed The Walking Stick due to its architectural shape, had loomed uncompleted over the city for many years.

But work on the £8billion project was halted following the 2015 Chinese stock market crash.

Standing at a staggering 1,959 feet, the Walking Stick is nearly twice as tall as The Shard.

But Chinese state media has since reported the skyscraper will now resume construction.

It will no longer get to claim the title as China’s tallest building that had been forecast, however.

Two taller skyscrapers, the Shanghai Tower and Shenzhen’s Ping An Finance Centre, have topped out since then.

Why has Trump hit China, Canada, and Mexico with tariffs?

DONALD Trump has imposed 10% tariffs on Chinese imports and Beijing has retaliated. Trump also hit Canada and Mexico with 25% tariffs, but walked back many of them on March 6

China:

  • Trump believes China has not done enough to stop the production of chemicals used to make the drug fentanyl.
  • China has slammed Trump for the claim and described fentanyl as America’s problem.
  • The country also said the tariffs are a “serious violation” of the World Trade Organization rules.
  • China is filing a lawsuit with the WTO against the US for “wrongful practice.”
  • China serves as a major supplier of auto parts to the US.
  • Phones, computers, and other key electronic devices were also in the top imports from China last year, according to Commerce Department data.
  • In 2023, the US imported around $427 billion worth of products from China, according to the US Census Bureau.
  • Data reveals that 78% of all smartphones imported from the US came from China.
  • Trump’s tariff threat has sparked fears of price rises for fashion items and toys.
  • Beijing has responded by outlining its own tariffs on American goods, sparking fears of an all-out trade war between the two superpowers.

Canada:

  • Trump ignited a trade war with Canada and Mexico during his first days in office as part of a campaign promise to stop the flow of fentanyl and illegal immigrants into the United States.
  • He said both countries had not done enough to halt the drug flow and the mass influx of migrants from reaching US soil.
  • A total of 59 pounds of fentanyl was seized at the northern border by US agents between 2022 and 2024, according to the Canadian government.
  • Meanwhile, almost 62,000 pounds of the drug was seized at the southern border.
  • The 25% tariffs Trump proposed on Canadian goods were destined to come into force on March 4.
  • Canada responded with a 25% tariff on $155 billion of American imports.
  • On March 6, Trump warned the 25% tariff on steel and aluminium would come into force on March 12.
  • Ontario Premier Doug Ford responded with a 25% surcharge on electricity exported to Michigan, Minnesota, and New York.
  • Trump then threatened to double the 25% tariff to 50%.
  • The Ontario premier warned that he “will not hesitate to increase” the levies or completely shut off power to the three US northeastern states.
  • Both sides then agreed to talk and toned down their threat.
  • Ford then paused the electricity surcharge.

Mexico:

  • Mexico has managed to twice postpone Trump’s tariffs on Mexican goods.
  • On February 1, Trump signed an executive order to impose tariffs on imports from Canada, Mexico, and China.
  • But, on February 3, Trump agreed to pause the levies against Canada and Mexico after the countries took steps to appease Trump’s concerns on border security and drug trafficking.
  • Trump then threatened that the 25% tariffs would come into force on March 4.
  • Two days later, Trump announced a delay on most goods covered under the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement.
  • Trump credited Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum’s progress on border security and drug smuggling as a reason for the pause on the levies.
  • The Mexican Navy has seized thousands of kilograms of drugs from criminal gangs.
  • Sheinbaum promised to deploy 10,000 extra troops to the Mexico-US border.
  • Still, Trump has maintained that on April 2, the US will begin imposing reciprocal tariffs on all its trading partners, including Mexico.

Ferne McCann cruelly mum-shamed over breastfeeding snap – two years after having second child

FERNE McCann has been cruelly mum-shamed after sharing a snap of herself breastfeeding daughter Finty.

The reality star, 34, shared a series of pictures from a recent holiday in Greece – including one of her cradling her two year old while she fed.

The star is also mum to daughter Sunday, seven[/caption]

While most people were full of praise for the stunning pictures,  lauding her for normalising such a natural thing – others weren’t quite so happy.

One troll commented: “And here’s the unnecessary breast feeding pic again!”

A second warned her:  “Not sure the kid will appreciate that breast feeding photo being oit there when older! Keep it private!!”

And a third wrote: “Most women just get on with it, but she must photograph it for Instagram….. priorities I guess.”

Ferne  had her daughter Finty with fiancé Lorri Haines in July 2023. She is also mum Sunday, seven, from a previous relationship.

During the trip, Ferne opened up about her breastfeeding journey and admitted she struggles to say no.

She told fans: “Finty breastfed on demand whilst we were away.

“I guess for an easier life I just gave it to her. There’s so many perks of continuing with breastfeeding past 1 especially whilst we were traveling.

“But now that means she really wants it all the time & I struggle to say no. I haven’t tried to stop BF yet.

“I think it will be really difficult when we eventually do end our BF journey.”

But this isn’t the first time Ferne has been shamed for breastfeeding Finty.

Earlier this year, the reality TV star explained: “Haven’t posted about my breastfeeding journey in a while, but I still get a lot of people asking if I’m still doing it.

“In complete honesty, I’ve been a bit nervous to share about it lately. Even though I’m such a big advocate for breastfeeding, the truth is, I’ve been afraid of what people might think or say now that Finty is 20 months old.

“I’m sharing this because if you’re like me and still feeding, and you’re feeling pressure to stop or wondering if it’s ‘not the norm’ to breastfeed past one, I just want you to know…there are plenty of mums still doing it. Keep going, mamma.

“However it looks, do your normal.”

What are the recommendations around breastfeeding?

The NHS recommends breastfeeding your baby exclusively (feeding them breast milk only) for the first six months, but it’s completely up to you to decide when you want to bring it to an end – and there’s really no right or wrong way to do it.

The NHS says weaning often happens gradually as your baby begins to eat more solid foods.

They note that solid food shouldn’t replace breast milk, as there is evidence to suggest breast milk helps a baby’s digestive system when processing solid food for the first time.

“Once they are eating solids, your baby will still need to have breast milk or formula as their main drink up to at least their first birthday,” recommends the NHS.

“Cows’ milk isn’t suitable as a main drink for babies under one, although it can be added to foods, such as mashed potatoes.”

You can also combine breastfeeding with formula, too and the NHS says “phasing out” of breastfeeding is often the easiest way.

For example, dropping one feed in the day or at night time.

After around a week, you can begin to think about dropping another.

“If your baby is younger than one year, you’ll need to replace the dropped breastfeed with a formula feed from a bottle or (if they are over six months) a cup or beaker, instead,” they say.

You can breastfeed for as long as you want, and while the NHS recommends breastfeeding your baby exclusively for the first six months, you shouldn’t feel like you cannot continue for longer.

The World Health Organization says: “Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended up to 6 months of age, with continued breastfeeding along with appropriate complementary foods up to two years of age or beyond.”

Darts icon Bobby George shows off amputated TOE he keeps in vodka after it was chopped off by ‘big pair of nail cutters’

DARTS icon Bobby George watched as a surgeon cut off his toe – now he keeps it at home in a jar filled with vodka.

George, 79, had four operations to remove four toes, two on each foot, due to a painful genetic deformity.

George was always one of darts’ most eccentric characters[/caption]

The eccentric darts legend, who earned the nickname ‘King of Bling’ during his playing days, keeps the toe behind his private bar at his 18-room mansion in Essex.

George suffers from a genetic condition that has caused his toes to come out of their sockets and cross over.

Explaining the unusual situation, he told SunSport: “Well, I’ve got… I don’t want to say disease or whatever, but people get it in their hands.

“Their fingers cross over. I got it in my feet. And they started [crossing over] that was like that, and this one was over there [gesturing at crossed over toes].

“I couldn’t get my shoes on. And my balance was right dodgy and all. You know, I said, just cut it off, mate.”

George, who twice finished as runner-up in the World Championship during his playing days, recalled watching the surgeon cut his toe off for the first time – using what he described as a “big pair of nail cutters”.

He explained: “It don’t take long to cut your toe off. I watched them do it.

“What they do, they get your toe and they cut round here [the base], right the way round with a scalpel.

“They put a tourniquet on so there’s no blood. Then they cut it down and peel the skin back.

“Then they get, I’ll never forget, they get like a big pair of nail cutters.

“And they went, boing, ding, it comes off. That’s how quick it, boing, off. And then they sew the skin up.”

After the surgery was complete George wanted to make sure he was leaving with a memento of his procedure, asking the doctor if he could take his toe back with him.

Reluctantly, the doctor did let him take the toe back home and some 26 years later George still has it in a small jar that he keeps on his bar.

He said: “He wouldn’t give me the stuff to preserve it. It’s deadly poison, so I can’t do that. I put it in vodka. Been in vodka 26 years.

“It’s curled up a little bit, I think it’s p****d by now.”

George keeps the toe next to his booze on his bar, joking with friends that come over that it’s a “cocktoe”.

The retired thrower had surgeries on his toes, knees and hips over the years – leaving him reaching for “16 tablets a day for pain relief”.

Loved up Brooklyn and Nicola shrug off devastating Beckham feud after ‘totally cutting off’ family

LOOKING loved up, Brooklyn and Nicola have shrugged off the devastating Beckham feud.

Yesterday, it was initially thought that Brooklyn and Nicola had unfollowed his younger siblings Romeo and Cruz, but those close to the couple said this was not true.

Romeo and Cruz made the surprising move of blocking their brother online

But despite the ongoing feud, which was sparked when Brooklyn and Nicola seemingly snubbed David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations earlier this year, the couple are shaking it off.

Shrugging off the family drama, Brooklyn and Nicola have been seen out and about together looking all loved up.

The married couple were seen walking around a sunny marina before getting on a yacht.

Brooklyn looked laid back and casual as he donned some black baggy shorts with an oversized cream shirt.

He finished off the look with a baseball cap and some shades.

Holding hands with his wife, Brooklyn looked totally smitten as she walked beside Nicola.

Bates Motel actress Nicola rocked a stunning knitted minidress.

The frock was covered in monochrome stripes in blacks, whites, creams and greys.

Nicola wore her brunette locks down and tousled, with some sunglasses covering her eyes.

This comes after a friend opened up to The Sun about the social media unfollowing saga between Brooklyn, Nicola, and his two brothers.

A friend said: “Brooklyn had no idea about any of this until he read about it online.

“It’s possible Romeo and Cruz blocked them, which would make it appear as no longer following the brothers

“They certainly didn’t unfollow them or block them – they’re as confused as anyone else.

“The first they heard about it was when it was being reported on.”

The three brothers were once very close

In another timely message to his brother Brooklyn this afternoon, Romeo has posted Justin Bieber’s song Walking Away on his Instagram Story and has typed over the top of the track, “Yup”.

The alleged move by Brooklyn’s brothers comes mere hours after he paid tribute to his sister Harper on her 14th birthday.

Those close to Brooklyn denied the move was an olive branch to his parents David, 50, and Victoria, 51, amid their ongoing feud.

A friend said: ”There is too much water under the bridge.”

They added: “Brooklyn and Harper were always incredibly close.

“He adores her and so does his wife Nicola. They have an incredibly close bond and despite everything that has gone on, Brooklyn idolises her.

“This is not an olive branch however. Just because they love Harper and want to show their affection, doesn’t mean they’re trying to make amends with the family.”

The tensions between Brooklyn and his parents, The Sun understands, were sparked by conversations about money with the Peltzes accusing the Beckhams of being “tight” — allegations which were firmly rebuffed by Team DVB who say they have always helped their kids but won’t spoil them.

I visited ‘food & drink capital’ of NI to sample Tayto tour, tasty ciders, historic sites & fleece designing workshop

NORTHERN Ireland is known for its stunning scenery and historic sites – but one county in particular is a must-visit.

Armagh is known by locals as the food and drink capital of the North and is perfect for a relaxing weekend away.

A Tayto tour got the taste buds going[/caption]

I had the joy of visiting some of the towns in Armagh and seeing the best it has to offer.

The first day started super early on a Saturday, when my partner and I boarded the train to Dublin at 6.40am, before arriving in the Orchard County at around 1pm.

First, we checked into our hotel, which was absolutely divine. We were staying at the Armagh City Hotel – right in the centre of town.

The room was fabulous. It was very spacious with a comfy bed, and there was even some complimentary locally-made apple juice waiting for us.

We then headed to the Armagh Planetarium and Observatory, where we watched a video about Mars in the dome area.

Not only is it Ireland’s leading centre for astronomical research and education, it’s also one of the top attractions in the city.

We then had a bit of time before our dinner reservation, so we had a look around the town and did some shopping.

Our evening meal that night was in Groucho’s on the Square, and we had a phenomenal time.

The pub has an old feel to it and carries a host of local and imported beers and ciders.

I chose to get a spiced chicken bao bun to start, paired with a local cider.

FAB FOOD

For the main course, I opted for a prawn linguine – and it was one of the nicest meals I have ever had in a pub.

The boozer is roughly 15 minutes away from our hotel by public transport, and we were aware that the last bus was at 9pm, so after we finished dinner, we decided to enjoy a drink in the beer garden.

Groucho’s is also dog-friendly, and even has a ‘doggy box’ outside full of treats, water bowls, food bowls and plastic bags.

About five minutes after we sat down, the owner of the pub, Peter, came over to speak to us. He was so interesting that we both agreed not to get the last bus, and instead stayed chatting to Peter before getting a taxi back into town.

BOOZER BABBLE

Peter explained to us how the current pub is an extension of the original building, which dates back around 400 years. His main intention with the pub is to give customers the best food possible, using only locally sourced ingredients.

The chef even came over to chat to us, and again spoke about the importance of using local ingredients in his cooking.

We were then invited over to join Peter and the staff for a drink, which was definitely the highlight of night one, and one of our favourite experiences of the weekend overall.

HISTORIC LINKS

We popped into one of the local late bars in the town, but after the amazing time we had in Groucho’s we felt it couldn’t be topped and decided to head back to the hotel.

The bed was super comfortable and made for a great first night’s sleep before venturing into the second day of plans.

The next morning we enjoyed breakfast in the hotel, before heading to Navan Centre and Fort for a tour.

This was very insightful, giving us loads of information about the history and spirituality of the area.

SPIRITUAL AREA

It was also cool to hear that it features heavily in Irish myths, including Cu Chulainn, and one of the mounds is even on a ley line – so is used as a site for meditation and spiritual connection by many visitors.

It is definitely a must-visit for any history buffs. It even had a live-action entertainment zone, where actors dressed up and spoke to you as people from that time period, which was very quirky, and is definitely something I believe should be integrated more into museums and tours.

We then had lunch in the cafe onsite, before finding out that our Game of Thrones Studio Tour had to be cancelled – an unfortunate turn, but it did give us more time to just relax in the hotel.

We were then treated to dinner in the hotel restaurant, where I got lamb stifado. We also enjoyed a few cocktails in the bar, before heading back to the room.

FOODIE HOTSPOT

On the final day, we had an early breakfast before heading to something every foodie should visit – the Tayto tour.

Here, we got to see the inner workings behind the Northern Irish rival that shares its name with the Republic’s beloved crisp brand.

And we even tried out some new flavours.

Our tour guide, John, gave us loads of insider information, while we toured the factory floors, located in Tandragee Castle.

We were covered up in scrubs-like clothing and took off any jewellery to avoid contamination.

FILMING BAN

Filming is not allowed inside the factory so your phones must be left at the reception – it’s all very top secret.

I would definitely encourage heading to the tour if you find yourself in Armagh.

Not only will you come out of it with insider knowledge of the amount of work that goes into making the popular snack, but you’ll also come out happy and full after tasting so many flavours of crisps, and with some to take home.

Lunch that day was in Blend X Batch in Banbridge, where I had their ‘halfway to Christmas’ special festive bap.

This was honestly unreal, and had us very full for the final activity of the trip.

The last thing we enjoyed in Armagh was another highlight, as we got to design our own fleeces in ELN.

GO: ARMAGH

STAY THERE – We stayed in the Armagh City Hotel, where rooms start from €145.

The restaurant and bar are definitely a highlight, while the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast is delicious and they even hold events!

DO THERE – Head to ELN for the fleece designing workshop – a highlight for sure.

And make sure to get in the Tayto tour, but don’t eat too much before as you’ll have a never-ending amount of crisps!

For history buffs, head to Navan Centre and Fort, before heading to the Armagh Planetarium for some astronomy.

EAT/DRINK THERE – I would wholly recommend a visit to Groucho’s on the Square, both for the local pints and the delicious food. If you’re lucky enough to bump into Peter, lucky you!

For lunch, head to Blend X Batch in Banbridge for some amazing food and a variety of coffee and alcohol options.

Or, enjoy a couple of cocktails in the hotel bar for a more relaxed evening.

Here, owner Ellen spoke to us about how it’s just her who designs and makes these limited releases.

Despite getting a little overwhelmed throughout the process – there were so many different colour and pattern options along with smaller detail decisions you would never even think of – she was extremely understanding and changed a lot of my choices a few times before I was happy with my final piece.

On the completely flip side, he knew what he wanted and had very little changes to make!

AMAZING LOCALS

We then unfortunately had to head home, but this weekend was one to remember.

After the trip, the main thing we both commented on was the people.

The locals here are absolutely amazing, and will go out of their way to help you however they can. Everyone we met was very friendly, and it never felt like anything was too much work for them.

‘I’d take that fight’ – Jake Paul called out by unbeaten KO artist after YouTuber replaced him in world rankings

UNBEATEN boxing prospect Craig Parker has confirmed he would take a fight with Jake Paul.

The challenge comes in response to the YouTube boxing star – who promoted Katie Taylor’s win over Amanda Serrano – taking Parker’s spot on WBA’s official cruiserweight rankings.

Parker was bumped down to 15th when Paul received a surprise ranking of 14th on WBA’s cruiserweight list[/caption]

Parker, 34, told World Boxing News that he is ready to face Paul, 23, but is unsure whether the influencer will commit to the challenges expected of a ranked boxer.

He said: “I doubt he’ll come knocking. But this sport’s unpredictable, and if the call comes, I’ll be ready.

“I think if they put him there, then stand on it.”

Paul’s cruiserweight ranking of No14 came as a surprise to many boxing fans, and is set to be reviewed next week after complaints from fellow boxers.

The influencer’s previous bouts mostly comprise of battling retired fighters, including legendary strikers such as Mike Tyson and Anderson Silva.

His one loss came in his first fight with a similarly aged and experienced opponent, Tommy Fury – brother of ex-heavyweight champ Tyson Fury.

He took a step up in his last bout – a unanimous decision victory over Julio Chavez Jr in June – but serious doubts remain as to the calibre of his opposition up to now.

Parker said the ranking “gives him the chance to step in the ring with real fighters, guys like me who earned it the long way”.

But he is not holding his breath for Paul to buck the trend of his previous opponents, saying: “Let’s be real, he’s not lining up to face young, active fighters with records like mine.”

Parker has put together a perfect record through his 20 career fights since 2018.

He is a knockout specialist, with none of his 20 fights ever making it to the final bell.

In fact, it is rare for Parker to even see the second round – seeing just 23 rounds across his 20 career bouts.

Whether the fight goes ahead or not, Parker has made it clear that his real target is a title shot, and a bout with Paul would just be one step on that journey.
