Future of Joe Swash’s Channel 4 show revealed after his reality series with Stacey Solomon came under fire

Suzanne and Joe to help families slash food bills and kitchen stress in the Channel 4 show[/caption]

Presenting alongside batch-cooking guru Suzanne Mulholland, the duo help families slash food bills and kitchen stress to rescue cash-strapped families struggling to feed the fam without blowing the budget.

The Channel 4 series sees the pair meet households across the UK in need of serious help when it comes to mealtimes – from bloated food bills to chaotic dinner routines.

The plan? Cut meal prep down to just one hour a week by cooking smart, freezing in bulk and making food stretch further.

With over half a million online followers and a string of Sunday Times bestsellers, Suzanne has become the queen of time-saving meal hacks – and now she’s bringing her no-fuss food magic to the telly.

With help from Joe, Suzanne will whip up bespoke menus tailored to each family’s favourite dishes, showing them how to save time, cash and kitchen stress.

The show is produced in partnership with Lidl, and comes as more and more Brits look for ways to make their weekly shop go the distance.

Meanwhile on BBC One, Joe’s reality show with his wife Stacey Soloman has also been renewed for a second series.

The couple opened the doors to their home for the cameras, for a fly-on-the-wall look into their family life with their five kids.

It shows her balancing a booming career, including a new perfume range, alongside the couple raising Rex, five, Rose, three, and Belle, two, plus her sons Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 12, from previous relationships, and Joe’s son Harry, 16.

Cameras are believed to be returning to their famous Pickle Cottage home later this year, to film what the family get up to.

Stacey and Joe say: “The biggest thank you to every single person who watched the first series of Stacey & Joe

We’ve been so grateful for all the lovely messages and we’re so excited to bring out another series with the BBC.”

The recommission may come as a surprise as they risked their reality show being axed after being accused of breaking strict BBC rules.

They risked the wrath of Corporation bosses, by plugging their products while on the show.

Stacey Solomon's career so far

Stacey Solomon has been a familiar face on viewers' screens for over a decade. Let's take a look back at her career.

The X Factor (2009): Stacey competed in series six of long-running ITV singing competition The X Factor. During her time in the show, she was mentored by Danni Minogue in the ‘Girls’ category. The star finished in third place, behind Joe McElderry and Olly Murs.

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here (2010); In late 2010, Stacey headed to the infamous I’m A Celeb Aussie jungle. After 21 days, she triumphed to win the tenth series. It was through I’m A Celeb that she met future husband Joe Swash – who’d won two years earlier and was hosting the ITV2 spinoff.

Celebrity Juice (2011―2013, 2016―2019): The star appeared as a panellist on 21 episodes of the comedy panel game show hosted by Keith Lemon. Stacey was a regular in the 21st series, broadcast in 2019.

Loose Women (2016 – present): Stacey has been a permanent panel member of the daytime show since 2016. She previously made guest appearances in 2011 and 2012.

Sort Your Life Out (2022 -present): This BBC show sees Stacey, with the help of an expert team, transform participants’ living spaces after removing clutter.

In one scene, Stacey told the cameras: “I’m going to be trying on my last summer collection. I have brand partnerships and design different things for those brands. Anything from homeware to clothing lines.”

And she also teased plans for her own perfume brand, telling viewers: “I’ve wanted to do this for so long now. Creating a perfume. I would love to sort of create scents from Pickle Cottage that really make me happy.”

Stacey has also namechecked her haircare brand and homeware range, and hubby Joe has cooking account and family coffee company.

This all breaks editorial rules to plug commercial deals on air, as they clearly state: “No on-air talent should promote products, goods, services or clothing they use on air.”

The rules go on to say that this includes anything they have “agreed, or been contracted, to promote or in which they have financial interest.”

A BBC spokesperson said: “Stacey & Joe is a reality series following the daily lives of the couple which includes their work.

“All commercial relationships featured are made clear to the audience and only included where editorially justified.”

Lucy Letby learned she faces MORE charges over baby deaths in jail ‘gossip’ lawyer claims – as 2nd hosp dragged in probe

COPS didn’t tell killer nurse Lucy Letby she could be facing further charges and she found out through “gossip”, her legal team has complained.

Letby’s barrister Mark McDonald moaned that police didn’t “have the courtesy” to tell them it was handing a new file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Letby’s barrister Mark McDonald moaned that police didn’t “have the courtesy” to tell them it was handing a new file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service[/caption]

It is understood to concern new baby deaths and non-fatal collapses at the Countess of Chester Hospital and Liverpool Women’s Hospital between 2012 and 2016.

The 35-year-old from Herefordshire was convicted of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill seven others while working at the Countess of Chester in 2015 and 2016.

She is serving 15 whole-life orders and is Britain’s most prolific child killer.

The Crown Prosecution Service  said it had received “a full file of evidence from Cheshire Constabulary” askingthe force to consider further allegations.

These are “in relation to deaths and non-fatal collapses of babies at the Countess of Chester Hospital and Liverpool Women’s Hospital”.

This comes after three people – who were in senior leadership roles at the Countess of Chester Hospital – were arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter as part of an investigation into the baby deaths.

But Mr McDonald told the Telegraph that the police didn’t tell Letby’s legal team about the new file.

He claimed this forced her to find out through “gossip”.

“One could be cynical and say that the police are afraid of what will happen when Lucy’s conviction is overturned.

“We will cross every bridge when we get to it, but if Lucy is charged I know we have a whole army of internationally renowned medical experts who will totally undermine the prosecution’s unfounded allegations.”

In a statement, a spokesman for the CPS said: “We will now carefully consider the evidence to determine whether any further criminal charges should be brought.

“As always, we will make that decision independently, based on the evidence and in line with our legal test.”

A spokeswoman for Cheshire Police confirmed the force had submitted “a full file of evidence to the CPS for charging advice regarding the ongoing investigation”.

Investigators are looking into the deaths and non-fatal collapses of babies at the neo-natal units of both hospitals as part of Operation Hummingbird.

This process to determine whether Letby will face further charges is expected to take several weeks and involve consultation with many of Britain’s most senior legal brains.

On top of the recent arrests for suspected gross negligence manslaughter, there is also an ongoing investigation into corporate manslaughter at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

All three ex-bosses arrested have been bailed, with their identities not yet being released by police.

Cops also added that these arrests do not have any impact on the killer nurse’s convictions.

Letby’s barrister Mr McDonald added that the police’s latest announcement came at a “very sensitive time” and that a proper and full public inquiry into failings by the hospital is needed.

The charges Letby has been convicted of in full

Child A, allegation of murder. The Crown said Letby injected air intravenously into the bloodstream of the baby boy. COUNT 1 GUILTY.

Child B, allegation of attempted murder. The Crown said Letby attempted to murder the baby girl, the twin sister of Child A, by injecting air into her bloodstream. COUNT 2 GUILTY.

Child C, allegation of murder. Prosecutors said Letby forced air down a feeding tube and into the stomach of the baby boy. COUNT 3 GUILTY.

Child D, allegation of murder. The Crown said air was injected intravenously into the baby girl. COUNT 4 GUILTY.

Child E, allegation of murder. The Crown said Letby murdered the twin baby boy with an injection of air into the bloodstream and also deliberately caused bleeding to the infant. COUNT 5 GUILTY.

Child F, allegation of attempted murder. Letby was said by prosecutors to have poisoned the twin brother of Child E with insulin. COUNT 6 GUILTY.

Child I, allegation of murder. The prosecution said Letby killed the baby girl at the fourth attempt and had given her air and overfed her with milk. COUNT 12 GUILTY.

Child K, allegation of attempted murder. The prosecution said Letby compromised the baby girl as she deliberately dislodged a breathing tube. COUNT 14 JURY COULD NOT REACH VERDICT AT ORIGINAL TRIAL, NOW GUILTY AFTER RETRIAL

Child L, allegation of attempted murder. The Crown said the nurse poisoned the twin baby boy with insulin. COUNT 15 GUILTY.

Child M, allegation of attempted murder. Prosecutors said Letby injected air into the bloodstream of Child L’s twin brother. COUNT 16 GUILTY.

Child N, three allegations of attempted murder. The Crown said Letby inflicted trauma in the baby boy’s throat and also injected him with air in the bloodstream. COUNT 17 GUILTY, COUNT 18 JURY COULD NOT REACH VERDICT, COUNT 19 JURY COULD NOT REACH VERDICT.

Child O, allegation of murder. Prosecutors say Letby attacked the triplet boy by injecting him with air, overfeeding him with milk and inflicting trauma to his liver with “severe force”. COUNT 20 GUILTY.

Child P, allegation of murder. Prosecutors said the nurse targeted the triplet brother of Child O by overfeeding him with milk, injecting air and dislodging his breathing tube. COUNT 21 GUILTY.

Child Q, allegation of attempted murder. The Crown said Letby injected the baby boy with liquid, and possibly air, down his feeding tube. COUNT 22 JURY COULD NOT REACH VERDICT

CRUZ Beckham’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel has revealed her huge spine scar as she posed in a slinky dress after having life-changing scoliosis surgery.

The son of David and Victoria Beckham, 20, has been dating stunning Jackie, 29, since last year, and he is supporting her through her health journey.

Today, Jackie bravely opened up about her scoliosis journey, which saw her having surgery.

She shared a slew of pictures which showed her in hospital having the life-changing operation.

In one of the pictures she is wearing a gold slinky dress, and shows fans what her scar looks like now, a year on from surgery.

Writing next to the pics, Jackie bravely said: “1 year ago today I had my scoliosis surgery so we’re celebrating with a big dress and an AI painting sitting here reflecting a little bit and weirdly I went into this day last year with zero fear.

“I fully pranked my mind into thinking it was no big deal. The 2 weeks after that were absolute hell but I think what really kept me going was having something to go back to.

“I was determined to be back in the studio no more than 1 month to the day post op. 25 days later we were back.”

Continuing she said: “I would have never ever made it through those 2 weeks if I wasn’t surrounded by so much support and love. people go through far worse than this every day and in times where you’re physically and mentally weak you really realize what a crazy difference conversation and comfort can have on you.

“Having someone check on you all the time, help you, love you. A year later, most days I forget I even did it.”

She then went on to talk about her recovery, and thanked her love ones for their support.

Jackie ended the lengthy post with: “From whatever it is you’re going through.

“Those are my 2 humble thoughts of the day and check in on your people always.

“It could be making the biggest difference and you don’t even know.”

POSH AND BECKS APPROVAL

Cruz and Jackie have been together since April last year, and she has a good relationship with his famous parents.

This is in stark contrast to his brother Brooklyn, 26, and wife Nicola Peltz, 30, who are locked in a feud with his parents after they missed David’s 50th birthday celebrations in May.

But Cruz and Jackie were there — and even performed Dolly Parton classic Islands in the Stream at a family dinner.

Jackie appears to have been accepted into the Beckham clan as she spent Christmas with the family at their £60million waterfront mansion in Miami.

She also supported Victoria at her fashion show during Paris Fashion Week last September, and even wore her £990 cream satin cami gown to her runway show.

Jackie was previously part of the Brazilian girl band Schutz, and she gained more than one million plays on her first EP – Reformation a side.

GLASTONBURY FUN

Cruz and Jackie have just got back from Glastonbury, but they didn’t slum it with the rest of the festival goers.

As you would expect, the couple lived the high life at the festival in one of the camp’s most expensive and private VIP tents which cost around £9K.

Sharing a slew of snaps from inside their tent – which closely resembled an A-list hotel room – it was clear that the pair had checked themselves into Camp Kerala.

This luxury camp includes Shikar tents which came complete with a luxury king-size bed, their own private en-suite toilet and shower block.

In one snap the couple could be seen enjoying a breakfast in bed with their food served on a wooden slate – a far cry from the realities of being in one of the Somerset festival’s regular camps.

My fiancé hates his greys so decided to try Just for Men – it was a total fail… we had to shave him from the neck up

A MAN who tried to dye his hair to cover his greys was left regretting his decision after it backfired dramatically.

He had a wedding coming up, so thought he’d treat himself to some Just for Men for an extra confidence boost.

But the dye had ended up staining the skin beneath – meaning he had to shave all his hair and his beard off
tiktok/@the.costas

However, he quickly realised that he’d made a mistake when he saw how dark the dye came out.

At that point, he tried to get it off – scrubbing vigorously at his face.

But his attempts were unsuccessful, and his hair and beard were left an extremely dark brown, verging on black.

His fiancée Charlie had to step in and lend a hand, but they ended up shaving his hair and beard off completely.

The problems didn’t stop there though – as the dye had stained the skin beneath too.

So he ended up being covered in facial bleach as they attempted to return his skin to its normal colour.

“The Hair Dye Disaster: Before vs. After,” Charlie captioned the video on the family’s TikTok page.

And unsurprisingly, the comments section was filled with people left in hysterics by the video.

“Same colour I done and it’s black not brown,” one wrote.

“I just let it grow out though!”

“What was wrong with the ‘before’ that you thought needed correcting?!” another asked.

To which his partner replied: “He wanted to cover the greys for the wedding.

“There was nothing wrong!”

“I’ve watched this 5 times, about to watch it again…this is the funniest before and after I’ve ever seen,” a third giggled.

“It’s killed me off!” Charlie admitted.

“It’s the scrubbing with the sponge!” the person replied.

How can I fix dye damaged hair?

Have you taken the dye too far? There are some ways to fix this WITHOUT chopping the whole lot off.

  1. Give it a trim: we’re not saying you have to cut the whole lot off, but you should trim the worst offending split ends.
  2. Ditch the heat products: stop straightening/curling your hair immediately.
  3. Stop dying your hair: step away from the bleach, and starting using ammonia-free semi-permanent dyes for now.
  4. Switch to sulfate free: use kinder, sulfate-free shampoos and conditions to repair your damaged hair. And don’t shampoo more than twice a week if possible, because this strips damaged hair and makes it brittle.
  5. Treatment masks: use one of these hair treatment masks, listed below, to rejuvenate your locks.
  6. Sun protection: cover your damaged hair when sunbathing or swimming in a chlorinated pool, to prevent further damage.
  7. Eat your hair healthy: make sure you drink lots of water, eat Omega 3 fatty acids found in salmon, walnuts and flaxseeds, and green veg like spinach, kale, carrots and avocado. Some pre-natal supplements also promote hair growth.

“Ohh noooo!” someone else said.

“I did the same to my husband TWO WEEKS BEFORE OUR WEDDING!!!” another exclaimed.

“You have to use the colour to remove the colour from the skin,” someone else advised.

“You don’t wash the colour off – you add a little bit of water to the colour on your face and hair and rub it into the skin.

“And it lifts the colour off your skin.”

“Or nail polish remover and a towel and scrub!” another suggested.

“Didn’t line the edges with Vaseline!” someone else said.

“Though the worst mistake was using Just for Men. Superdrug’s own brand is way better.”

Chinese car giant to launch as standalone brand in UK with its own network of dealerships rivalling Hyundai, Kia & Skoda

A MAJOR Chinese car brand has announced it will be launching in the UK.

The motors firm will put one of its most popular models on the British market towards the end of the year.

Geely, which owns LEVC, Lotus, Polestar, and Volvo, will soon be launching in the UK.

British showrooms will see the Geely EX5 in the final quarter of the year.

And the brand will open its own standalone dealership network in the UK.

The model is an electric crossover designed to rival the Skoda Elroq, Kia EV3, and Renault Megane.

Geely said the EX5 has been assessed by Lotus Engineering to evaluate whether it requires retuning for European roads.

Model details

UK specifications have yet to be announced while globally, the crossover is offered with a choice of 49.5kWh or 60.2kWh battery packs.

The 60.2kWh pack yields a range of up to 264 miles on the WLTP test cycle.

And they can be charged at a rate of up to 100kW on a DC connection, giving the bigger battery a 30-80% refill in 20 minutes.

It also has a single front-mounted motor that puts out 215bhp, giving a 0-62mph sprint time of 6.9sec.

Inside, the car seats five and features a 15.4in infotainment touchscreen.

UK market

While prices have yet to be announced, the EX5 starts from $40,990 (£19,500) in Australia.

This hints at a potential price of between £25,000 and £30,000 here in the UK.

Geely said that fleet buyers are expected to be a “key segment” for the model.

They reported that these customers account for the majority of EV sales at present.

The company added that it was confident that it will appeal to UK buyers.

Car Auctions: How To Nab A Bargain

Car auctions are a way to sell vehicles based on a bidding system with the highest offer securing the deal.

Auctions aren’t restricted to the rich and famous as thousands of cars are sold at motor auctions in the UK each week.

Here’s what you need to know before attending an auction:

  1. Be prepared: Do your research on the car you would like to purchase beforehand.
  2. Check the car: Cars will usually be lined up before the start, so make sure to arrive early to inspect the desired car thoroughly.
  3. Have a back-up: Be ready for disappointment as your desired motor may be sold to someone else and select a few back-ups.
  4. Be realistic: Realise that there won’t be a “perfect” car at an auction and adjust expectations accordingly.
  5. Set a budget: It is easy to overspend in the heat of the moment during bidding. Ensure you have set a budget and do not go over it.

Key phrases to look out for:

  • ‘No major mechanical faults’ – suggests that there shouldn’t be any issues with the car’s drivetrain, gearbox, suspension, or engine.
  • ‘Specified faults’ – the auctioneer will read out specific faults.
  • ‘Sold as seen’ – the vehicle is sold with any problems it may have. The auction company will rarely entertain complaints regarding the mechanical or cosmetic condition of these vehicles after sale.
  • ‘Sold with a warranted mileage’ – The car is being offered based on the report, which confirms the mileage through an independent check.

Deliveries are earmarked to begin between October and the end of the year.

Additional Geely models are set to follow in 2026.

The move comes as the brand attempts to tap new markets for rapid growth.

They have set out to add more than 300 non-Chinese dealers and service centres to their global portfolio by the end of the year.

Geely sold nearly 2.2 million cars last year, which is up 34% compared from 2024.

More car brands

An iconic hatchback is set to return three decades after it was discontinued.

Meanwhile, another car brand faces factory closures over electric vehicle targets.

And a road test of the Kia EV6 GT that is now £2,690 cheaper.

Who are the P.I. Moms and where are they now? Private investigators hired by Chris Butler

Group photo of Chris Butler and his team of female investigators.
CONCORD, CA – May 20: Chris Butler, owner of Butler & Associates Private Investigations, is surrounded by investigators, from left, Michelle Allen, Denise Antoon, Julia Brazina and Charmagne Peters at their Concord, Calif., office on Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Butler & Associates Private Investigations is an 11-employee Concord company that employs almost exclusively moms. About […]
Getty

Who were the members of the P.I. Moms?

THE P.I. Moms were a unique group of college-educated “soccer moms” Chris Butler recruited and trained as private investigators for his company, Butler & Associates.

They were based in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, specifically in the East Bay area, which included the Diablo Valley.

Meet the four P.I. Moms

  • Michelle Allen: Background in acting, she directed operations while working undercover.
  • Charmagne Peters: With a B.A. in rhetoric and communications, she carried out undercover decoy work and supervised sting operations.
  • Denise Antoon: Holding a B.A. and J.D. in criminal justice, as well as teaching the subject, she carried out fraud investigations and surveillance.
  • Ami Wiltz: A former cop who featured on shows including 48 Hours and Dr. Phil, where she described what it was like to juggle P.I. Moms investigations and family life.

What was Chris Butler’s vision?

The disgraced former cop’s idea was to use mothers’ inherent skills and inconspicuousness for the following purposes:

  • Undercover surveillance
  • Sting operations
  • Decoy work in infidelity and domestic cases
  • General private investigations
  • Assisting with his “Dirty DUIs scheme”

What did Chris Butler’s Dirty DUIs scheme involve?

  • His female helpers would encourage men (often those going through tough divorce cases) to excessively drink alcohol.
  • Once the men were drunk, the helpers would get them to drive.
  • Corrupt police officers who worked with Butler, would pull these men over and arrest them for drink driving.
  • These were planned traps meant to get people in trouble.
  • Many of the arrests and charges from these tricks were later canceled and removed from people’s records.

Where are the PI Moms are now?

  • Most of the original P.I Moms have quietly withdrew from the spotlight returned to private life and no longer work as high-profile investigators.

Have the P.I. Moms reunited?

  • The foursome have not appeared in any follow-up projects since the initial media storm, when Ami Wiltz was on 48 Hours and Dr. Phil.

What did the P.I Moms say about the show?

  • Ami talked about the excitement of the show’s initial premise and the shock and disappointment as the truth about Butler’s operations was exposed.

The Canceled P.I. Moms TV Show

Which channel was it supposed to air on?

The P.I. Moms were supposed to get their own reality show on Lifetime.

Why was the show canceled?

The television programme never aired because a scandal broke out.

Therefore, the network quickly dropped the show and there is no indication of a reboot or a revival.

Was the P.I. Moms show scripted or reality-based?

It was portrayed as reality but later revealed to be largely staged and fabricated for the cameras.

Were there any legal issues involving the P.I. Moms?

Michelle Allen, Charmagne Peters, Denise Antoon and Ami Wiltz were not directly involved in any criminal activity.

Their boss, Chris Butler, pleaded guilty to the following:

  • Robbery
  • Extortion
  • Illegal wiretapping
  • Selling police-confiscated drugs including crystal meth, anabolic steroids, and marijuana
  • Profiting from and receiving protection for an illegal massage parlor (brothel)
  • Conspiring to stage illegal search-and-seizure operations against sex workers

His associate, Norman Wielsch, pleaded guilty to:

  • Conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana and meth
  • Theft from programs receiving federal funds.
  • Two counts of civil rights conspiracy
  • Stealing drugs from evidence facilities.
  • Participating in phony “sting” operations, including false detentions and warrantless searches.

How to watch Netflix’s Trainwreck: P.I. Moms

When does Trainwreck: P.I. Moms premiere?

  • This new true crime documentary premieres on Netflix on July 22, 2025.

What is Trainwreck: P.I. Moms about?

  • The doc revisits the 2010 reality show P.I. Moms and the scandal that followed.
  • It explores how the show unraveled when journalists and producers began to suspect that not everything was as it seemed.
  • The documentary details the true story behind the show’s collapse, the criminal allegations, and the broader impact on reality TV and law enforcement.
