‘More than anything’ – Emotional Jack Grealish spotted pouring heart out to beloved Man City fans after Oasis gig

JACK GREALISH told Man City fans that he loves the club “more than anything” as he poured his heart out to supporters at Oasis’ return gig in Manchester.

Grealish, 29, was emotional as he opened up about his love for the club amid speculation of an exit from the Etihad this summer.

The winger, who joined City for £100m in 2021, looks destined for the exit doors after falling out of favour under Pep Guardiola last season and being dropped from the squad for their summer exploits at the Fifa Club World Cup.

As rumours continue to swirl around where his future might lie, Grealish ensured he enjoyed what is left of his summer break before pre-season by attending Oasis’ hometown gig at Heaton Park.

Following the gig, Grealish stopped for a chat with a fan wearing a Man City shirt – confessing his love for the club and its supporters.

He said: “You know what? Bro, I love City more than anything.

“And do you know what I love more than anything? City fans. They’re the best fans in the world”.

The man who will have the final say on his future, Guardiola, was also enjoying himself in Heaton Park.

The City manager was seen belting out Don’t Look Back In Anger alongside his daughter Maria as Noel and Liam Gallagher honoured him with a cardboard cutout on stage and dedicated their performance of of D’You Know What I Mean to the Spaniard.

Guardiola even hung out with the Gallagher family backstage as he posed of a picture alongside Noel’s sons Donovan and Sonny, Liam’s daughter Anais and Liam’s boys Gene and Lennon.

Guardiola will have to make some tough decisions about his squad when he returns from his extended break after the Club World Cup, with Grealish’s future high on the to-do list for the City gaffer.

Reports earlier this month suggested that City would be willing to sell the 39-time England international for around £40m, a significant loss on the £100m they splashed out to lure him away from Aston Villa.

Grealish has been criticised for off-field antics during his struggles at City, but Guardiola has insisted that he didn’t leave him out of the Club World Cup squad as a result of those problems.

He said: “The only reason he didn’t play minutes was me, not because he was incorrect or whatever.

“I want the best for Jack, his partner, his kids, his family.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen right now or have any doubts about the qualities of Jack. The quality has always been there, the year of the treble would have been impossible.”

Grealish started just seven Premier League games last season and across his 32 cameos in all competitions he only managed three goals.

Tottenham, Newcastle and Serie A champions Napoli are all reportedly monitoring the his situation.

However, SunSport reported that Grealish’s £300,000-a-week wages complicate a move.

Grealish’s current terms at the Etihad run until 2027.

Mystery of Brit dad found dead in pool of blood with phone missing in Thailand as even ex-cop left baffled by case

A GRIEVING father has been left frustrated and heartbroken after his former British kickboxing champion son died in mysterious circumstances in Thailand.

Offshore oil rig supervisor Steven Russell, 45, was found dead at home in Dumrongsuk Village, northeast of Bangkok, just before Christmas.

His father, John Russell, 76, said his family have been left without answers and are now trying to piece together how Steven died.

That’s because a Thai police probe, a UK coroner’s inquest, and an investigation by a former cop all could not find a cause.

John said he’s now been left “desensitised” after having to deal with the grisly details of his son’s death.

He told The Sun: “From the photographs, he [Steven] was laying on a settee covered with a blanket, and the blanket was soaked in blood, on the floor was obviously dry blood.

“He’d been there for at least three days.”

Steven’s body was found after neighbours raised the alarm on December 22.

They alerted the village headman and the police.

Upon arrival, the house was locked from the inside, preventing entry.

Rescue workers were called to get inside the house, and Steven was found lying on his back, covered with a blanket, on the sofa in the living room.

Brit doctors in January were unable to confirm how he had died when his body was brought back to the UK for a formal coroner’s probe.

John said he believed it was unlikely that Steven’s death had been caused by some traumatic and violent event.

He said: “There was no signs of anyone breaking in.

“And the autopsy said that all his organs were normal, they were healthy, there was no signs of any traumas, you know, no punctures in the skin.

“All I’m saying is there’s like an open verdict in my mind. I can’t even, if someone asked me, ‘why do you think you died’, the answer is ‘I don’t know’, and I don’t know whether we’ll ever know.”

But, the father said that nothing could be ruled out – even poisoning.

“The only thing we couldn’t prove is if he’d been poisoned.

“No way to prove it. Having said that, he was laying on a settee, he was covered up.

“If you were in pain, would you have gotten up or would you have just laid there? Again, I don’t know.”

The family has now been left trying to track down Steve’s last moments to figure out what led up to his death.

“What we’re trying to do is put together everything, you know, to do with Facebook messages and everything, you know, to try and button that up.

John said his son Steven, was a devoted dad[/caption]

“One of the hardest things was, I paid to have all his possessions sent back, and when I got them there was nothing there… we believe he had an iPhone, and we never got that back…”

They’re now trying to get access to Steven’s social media accounts and speak to all his pals to see when he last messaged.

Due to the condition of Steven’s body, they believe he was dead for several days before being found.

John said: “So obviously he died before the 22nd, probably around the 19th.”

Determining when Steven died could be important to trying to figure out how he died.

The inquest into Steven’s death was held at the Norfolk Coroner’s Court in January.

Dr Laszlo Igali, histopathologist, said the medical cause of death could not be ascertained, according to Norwich Evening News.

A hearing in June again gave an open verdict on the cause of his death.

John slammed Thai cops who had been unhelpful in every aspect of Steven’s death.

“I got a message on Messenger on the 22nd of December, saying, ‘sorry for your loss.’ And I wrote back and said, ‘what do you mean?’

“And the person came back and said, ‘didn’t you know Stephen died?’ And that’s how I found out.”

The grandfather has also paid tribute to his son, saying he was an incredibly determined person.

“His ambition was to live in Thailand and work wherever.”

Steven had settled in Thailand in 2022, but had lived there on and off for a number of years leaving for extended periods of time to work on oil rigs.

Steven had also been a champion kickboxer, winning the English and British WKU titles in the early 2000s.

He turned pro and fought seven bouts with a record of one win, one draw, and five losses across the space of two years.

Wimbledon bosses face ratings disaster after plan to get more viewers for men’s final threatens to backfire

WIMBLEDON’s decision to change the start time of the men’s singles final to try and grab the biggest TV audience might backfire – as viewers turn over to watch live football.

Multiple Grand Slam champions Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz – the top two players on the ATP circuit – will face each other on Sunday in the climax to the men’s Championship on Centre Court.

That is because Sinner’s megamatch with Alcaraz could take place at the same time as the Club World Cup final

For the first time, the clash has been moved back by TWO HOURS from its normal slot of 2pm to 4pm.

Wimbledon bosses are desperate to have as many eyeballs as possible globally watching the action, particularly in the key US market.

They also argue this decision will give more prominence to the women’s doubles final, which starts before that five-setter, though it is normally played late in the evening in front of sparse crowds.

Yet the Club World Cup Final in New Jersey between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain starts at 8pm on Sunday evening on Channel 5.

And at the same time the Lionesses will continue the defence of their European football title as they take on Wales in their final group match in Switzerland.

Sinner and Alcaraz played each other in the French Open final in Paris five weeks ago and that lasted five-and-a-half hours as the Spaniard, 22, sensationally came from two sets down to prevail.

Should the Wimbledon final take several hours, and both men have shown supreme form this fortnight as they chase the £3million top prize, then punters may switch off before it finishes to catch the footie.

And, of course, the roof might need to be closed for bad light if the match is still going on past 8.30pm.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

This issue of a clash with other major sporting events will become a factor next year when the Fifa World Cup Finals take place in the US, Canada and Mexico.

The later start will also be a factor when the European Championships are staged in the UK in 2028.

Wimbledon have defended the controversial decision, with CEO Sally Bolton saying: “Adjusting the finals weekend to have the doubles starting at 1pm and singles at 4pm will provide a weekend of excitement.

“Both days will culminate with the singles champions being crowned in front of the largest possible worldwide audience.

“The consideration of this change has taken us a long time to go. There has been a lot of thought and data analysis before altering the finals schedule.

“It’s about ensuring we have an improved experience for all involved.

“We believe we can give an outstanding outcome for everyone from the change.”

Asked if there would ever be flexibility with the timing in future years, Bolton added: “We’ve been up against football and other sporting tournaments before.

“And whilst there’s usually some impact, it’s never caused us a significant amount of concern.

“As we were working through the range of factors in making this decision, clearly that was one of those.

“As with any change we make at the Championships, we are always reviewing the decisions we’ve made, whether they’ve worked, whether we can tweak them.

“So, we’re confident we’ve made the right decision, but as we always do, we will review that after this year’s Championships.”

Maria has a fantastic relationship with her granddaughters, Blake, three, and one-year-old Blu and the little ones love when their “Tati” comes to visit.

Yesterday, Arthur took to Instagram to share an adorable clip of Maria having a water fight with the two girls in the garden.

The little ones had a blast playing the perfect summer game with their nan.

In the video, Maria could be seen creeping out the back door with a water gun in her hand and spraying it at Blake who had her back turned to her outside.

Blake started squealing with excitement as she turned around and attempted to squirt the water gun back at her nan.

The two-year-old then ran around the back screaming with excitement while Maria ran after her.

Arthur decided to join in on the fun moments later as he perched himself behind a tree in their garden to hide from Blake who was on the hunt with her water gun.

The TV star then jumped out and started to run after his little girl with the spray gun as she belly laughed.

Arthur jokingly captioned the summer fun: “If you are coming for my mother, you must be ready for the consequences.

“Here I come, you better be ready, Blake Maria Rose! No one is messing with Tati.”

And fans all flocked to the comment section to gush over the families joyful sun day.

Callie wrote: “Making beautiful memories.”

Willow said: “Ohhhh my heart I love this even Tatti getting involved.”

Aideen remarked: “God I love you guys the sheer happiness in the girls faces everyday is so lovely.”

Fidelma added: “What incredible fun for Blake and you all. Tati is hilarious!”

While Grainne exclaimed: “Tati always brings the weather with her!!!”

And Mary gushed: “That’s just brilliant. Innocent fun. Can’t beat it.”

Spain storm and HAIL warning as 100mm of rain falls in an HOUR at popular tourist hotspot leaving cars underwater

SEVERE storm and hail warnings have been issued in Spain – as 100mm of rain fell in just one hour at a holiday hotspot leaving cars submerged under water.

Locals and tourists are bracing for chaos after the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) activated weather warnings for 25 provinces, eight of which are orange.

100mm of rain reportedly fell in juts one hour in Tarazona, Spain[/caption]

AEMET forecasted orange-level warnings on Saturday for extreme storms in Huesca, Teruel and Zaragoza, Barcelona, Girona, Lleida and Tarragona, and Castellón.

These regions are set to see intense rainfall and potential flash floods which could disrupt holidays and cause huge damages to neighbourhoods.

The DANA storm has caused the weather agency to activate red, orange and yellow warnings across dozens of Spanish regions.

The agency predicted rainfall of up to 50 litres per square metre in most of the regions in Aragon and Catalonia, which could spark local flooding and overflowing ravines.

The Ebro Riverbank in Tarazona, Zaragoza province, was under red alert on Friday after it was hit with severe flooding – with nearly 100mm of rain falling in just one hour.

It will remain under red alert until late on Saturday, following the rainfall which caused urban flooding and transport disruption at the holiday hotspot.

The Military Emergency Unit (UME) was deployed to several towns in Zaragoza to help relieve the damage caused by the brutal rainfall.

Local rescue teams reported over 30 flood-related incidents, including fallen trees and blocked roads, but no casualties.

Shocking footage showed cars being swept away under the waves as intense rainfall pummelled Spanish streets.

Hailstorm was seen pelting the pavements as locals took shelter from the dangerous weather.

And streams of muddy water were seen flowing down streets while taking chairs and fences in their destructive paths.

There will also be storm warnings in several other regions, including Alicante and Valencia, Ribera del Ebro in La Rioja and Iberian Rioja, and Álava, among others.

Spain’s national forecaster said that unstable air was moving across the north and east of the Iberian Peninsula – bringing heavy showers, thunderstorms, and in some places, torrential downpours.

The worst parts of the storm will hit Catalonia, Aragon and the Valencian Community, where intense rain is likely from early Saturday – and some areas could see hail and flash flooding.

Later in the day, the storms are expected to spread to the Cantabrian coast, the Balearic Islands, and parts of central and eastern Spain, before conditions begin to clear overnight.

While the rain lashes parts of the country, it will still be boiling hot in southeastern Spain, where temperatures could hit sweltering highs.

Reports say Murcia, Alicante, inland Andalusia, and parts of Extremadura will see temperatures approaching or exceeding 40 degrees.

The extreme heat will mark a sharp contrast to the torrential rainfall about to be seen in other parts of the country.

Temperatures will then drop in much of the mainland and the Canary Islands.

But winds will also pick up – especially in the Canary Islands and along the Alboran coast – potentially reaching strong to very strong levels.

The storm is reportedly a DANA phenomenon, or a “cold drop”.

It stands for “Depresión Aislada en Niveles Altos,” which translates to “isolated depression at high altitudes”.

This happens when more warm and moist Mediterranean air than usual is sucked high into the atmosphere after a cold system hits the country.

The temperature difference between the cold air aloft and the warm surface air creates instability, leading to rapid uplift of warm, moist air and the formation of intense thunderstorms.

Premier League star plans to build £5m superhome in wealthy ‘footballers haven’…but had to agree to unusual condition

DANNY Drinkwater’s plans for a change of formation at his dream £5million new build mansion have been ruled “on-side” by planners.

The former Chelsea and Leicester midfielder, 35, wants to demolish a former World War II munitions shed to make way for a seven-bed superhome – complete with a club room.

Drinkwater’s proposed new home is close to Alderley Edge – where many footballers live[/caption]

It comes after the now-retired star was forced to alter previous plans and apply for a special licence from Natural England after a survey revealed the area is a popular roosting spot for endangered bats.

Planners at the local council had slammed the “inappropriate” and “disproportionate” development on green belt land, but ultimately the changes were considered sufficient.

Drinkwater’s plans incorporate a special 19x13ft “bat loft” to allow access to the furry mammals.

The luxury Georgian-style pad will boast a swimming pool, gym and cinema in the footballers’ haven of Alderley Edge, Cheshire.

It will also feature a grand entrance hall, orangery, drawing room, boot room, lift and no less than seven bedrooms, each with their own dressing room.

Drinkwater was first granted planning permission for the stately pile four YEARS ago but building work has still not started.

And now he wants to move the proposed 36ftx13 indoor pool, gym and four-bay garage into two separate outbuildings.

In a statement, his planning agent said: “Since the granting of permission and the initial implementation of the proposals, the applicant wishes to alter the design as consented to suit the preferences and requirements of his family in the creation of a family home.

“The purpose of the revised design is to reduce the bulk of the main house elevation and garage so that the home may sit more freely in the landscape and to improve openness in the green belt setting.”

Original plans for the new build included a snug, wine store, morning and evening terrace, library and office but these have now been subbed off.

The proposed site is a seven-acre farm that was used by the military with a number of munitions and railway sheds served by a now disused railway.

Drinkwater won the Premier League with Leicester in 2016 but made just 23 appearances for Chelsea in four years including several unsuccessful loan spells.

He hung up his boots two years ago after leaving Reading at the end of the 2021-22 season and is now a property developer.

Last year, he hit back at a troll after posting a picture of himself “grafting” on a building site.

He got plenty of derisory comments including one that read: “F***ing hell Danny, you’ve hit rock bottom.”

But he hit back, saying: “Some of these messages, behave. I love being on site grafting! It’s a choice.”

Officials at Cheshire East Council gave his amended new build plans the go-ahead after there were no objections from neighbours.

They said: “It is accepted that the proposed scheme provides a more sustainable home on the site whilst having a measurably smaller and more visually appropriate impact on the country setting.”

The Sun has contacted Drinkwater for comment.

What is special about Alderley Edge?

Alderley Edge is part of Cheshire’s ‘Golden Triangle’ – an affluent area of small towns and villages which also includes Wilmslow and Prestbury.

Set in glorious countryside, the area is known for its expensive homes, high-end shops and upmarket bars and restaurants.

It is popular with wealthy Premier League footballers and celebrities, and has earned a reputation as a millionaire’s playground and a place to see and be seen.

London Road, running through the centre of Alderley Edge, is frequently lined with millions of pounds worth of Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Bugattis as well as luxury 4X4s and other cars.

The gated mansions offer peace and privacy and current residents on one particular road include Liverpool’s Andy Robertson and his teammate Alexis Mac Allister.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson once lived there as well as ex-United keeper Sergio Romero.

And Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is also thought to own a property on the road.
