Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua to have separate ‘comeback fights’ before sealing deal for blockbuster British showdown

TYSON FURY and Anthony Joshua could have separate comeback fights before sealing a deal for their long-anticipated showdown.

Fury announced his fourth career retirement in January – one month after losing to Oleksandr Usyk for the second time.

But the Gypsy King – perhaps unsurprisingly – has now opened the door to yet another return to the ring.

Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh even teased a trilogy bout with Usyk online after holding talks with Fury.

But AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn believes Alalshikh will look to put Joshua and Fury in comeback bouts to build towards an overdue clash.

He told BoxingScene: “They want them both to have, say, a comeback fight, a fight.

“And then, in my opinion, Turki’s going to move straight forward and make AJ-Fury.”

Joshua, 35, is yet to return since being knocked out by Daniel Dubois, 27, in September having undergone elbow surgery in May.

Hearn told SunSport he expects AJ to return in either November or December.

Usyk, 38, meanwhile rematches Dubois on July 19 at Wembley for the undisputed titles following his stoppage victory in 2023.

Fury wants a trilogy bout in London with Usyk – feeling he was robbed in both previous fights – but will also settle for a grudge match against AJ.

He said: “Who would I rather fight right now? Usyk. I want my revenge in England, that’s all I want.

“I want my fair shout, and I don’t believe I’ve got a fair shout the last two times.

“I don’t know what I’m going to have to do, because I can’t let it go to a decision.

“That’s the one I want, but if I don’t get that then it will be Joshua, the biggest British boxing fight that will ever happen.

“It would break all records and it would sell out 100,000 at Wembley in an hour and it’s a fight I think can happen, if I did decide to come back and the deal was right.”

Baby shower erupted into brawl when dart legend Jocky Wilson’s niece ripped out gran-to-be’s hair – but she avoids jail

A BABY shower erupted into a savage brawl when dart legend Jocky Wilson’s niece ripped out the gran-to-be’s hair.

Mum-to-be Chantelle Wilson was celebrating the imminent arrival of her baby daughter with partner Ben Ritchie the bash spiralled into a punch-up.

Her mum Sarah Wilson, 45, attacked Pamela Ritchie – the dad-to-be’s mum – by pulling her hair and punching her.

Chantelle’s sister Chardonnay Wilson, 20, lashed out at Ben’s grandmother, who later claimed her feeding tube was removed.

Sarah Wilson and daughter Chardonnay are the niece and great-niece of late World Professional Darts Championship winner Jocky Wilson.

But Sarah avoided jail after pleading guilty to assault and was instead ordered to pay £500 compensation to the victim.

Her daughter was given an absolute discharge, which in Scottish law means the offence will not go on her record despite a conviction.

It came after her solicitor claimed a conviction would end Chardonnay’s career as a carer.

Dunfermline Sheriff Court heard the two families had gathered at Lochore Miners’ Welfare Social Club in Fife on May 18 last year.

At first, everyone seemed to be getting on “fine” but the mood turned sour following a game of “Would Mummy Rather”.

One question was asked about whether Chantelle would rather “put a bottle on for the baby or open a bottle of wine”.

The court heard someone from dad-to-be Ben’s family then yelled out she would open the wine, which caused Chantelle to become “upset”.

Chardonnay Wilson said her mum Sarah and Ben’s mum Pamela were “arguing back and forward”.

She added: “My mum told her they could speak any other day but not to spoil the occasion.”

But the court heard more rowing broke out during a game of “Baby Bingo” after apparent sexual comments were heard.

A punch up then unfolded outside the venue after an alleged abusive remark was aimed at the Wilsons.

Sheriff Susan Duff said: “Mrs Ritchie’s evidence was that she was left with a bald section on her head as a chunk of hair had been pulled out.”

Sarah Wilson pleaded guilty to assault, while Chardonnay was convicted following a trial.

She still denies removing Yvonne Ritchie’s feeding tube and punching and kicking the gran-to-be.

Sarah’s solicitor Stephen Morrison said: “This was a baby shower celebration that turned sour for one reason or another.

“She absolutely regrets the incident and she hadn’t been drinking that day.

“She continues to have a relationship with her daughter’s partner but not with the rest of his family. There’s no reason to believe there will be a repetition of this behaviour as she’s not likely to put herself into another family situation like this.”

Jocky Wilson was world champion in 1982 and 1989 and one of the biggest stars of the games.

He retired in 1995 and died at the age of 62 in 2012.

How to get £300 in spare cash every month by doing NOTHING but you’ll need to live in one of four key spots

WITH household budgets stretched tighter than ever, many people are looking for ways to boost their earnings.

However, an expert has pointed out one surprisingly simple opportunity might be sitting right outside their front door – and isn’t a time-consuming side hustle.

Aerial view of a suburban street in Surrey, UK, with houses and cars.
Getty
You can earn money renting out your driveway as a side hustle[/caption]

The solution involves something most people take for granted – their driveway.

According to car industry expert Kazimieras Urbonas, from Ovoko, an online marketplaces for used car parts, homeowners across the UK are missing out on a straightforward way to generate passive income.

The secret lies in renting out your driveway space to drivers who need somewhere to park.

Using dedicated platforms like JustPark or YourParkingSpace, homeowners can list their driveways and earn money from people looking for convenient, affordable parking spots.

The earning potential varies significantly based on location and demand.

Homeowners in prime spots near major transport links can earn £150-300 monthly, while those in quieter suburban areas might see £50-100 per month.

Kazimieras shared: “It’s incredibly straightforward.

“You simply create a listing with photos of your driveway, set your hourly or daily rates, and wait for bookings to roll in.

“The platforms handle all the payments and insurance, so there’s very little work involved once you’re set up.

“It’s safe to say most people aren’t aware their empty driveway could be earning them money while they’re at work or even while they sleep.

“It’s one of those opportunities that’s been hiding in plain sight.”

The process works by connecting drivers who need parking with homeowners who have unused space.

Whether someone needs a spot for a few hours while they catch a train, or a tourist wants somewhere safe to leave their car for several days, your driveway could be the perfect solution.

LUCRATIVE LOCATIONS

People can rake in up to £300 a month renting their drive[/caption]

While any homeowner with a driveway can potentially earn money, certain locations are particularly lucrative.

Properties near transport hubs tend to see the highest demand and can command premium rates.

Kazimieras added: “Homes within walking distance of train stations are absolute goldmines.

“Commuters are happy to pay £5-15 per day for convenient parking, especially when station car parks charge much more or are constantly full.”

Other profitable locations include near hospitals, as staff, patients and visitors often struggle to find parking and will pay for guaranteed spaces.

Other people who are close to airports could also be in the money, as travellers seek secure, affordable alternatives to expensive airport parking

If you are located near a stadium or event venues, this could be tempting for match days or concerts.

Meanwhile, office workers and shoppers love all-day parking options near city centres.

EXTRA BENEFITS

Beyond the obvious financial advantage, renting out driveway space offers several practical benefits that homeowners may not initially consider.

Kazimieras shared: “Your driveway stays active and occupied, which can actually improve security.

“An empty driveway can signal to potential burglars that nobody’s home, but regular activity makes properties less attractive targets.”

The arrangement also helps reduce local parking pressures.

The best places to earn money renting out your driveway as a side hustle

  • Near hospitals – Staff, patients and visitors often struggle to find parking and will pay for guaranteed spaces
  • Close to airports – Travellers seek secure, affordable alternatives to expensive airport parking
  • Around stadiums and event venues – Match days and concerts create huge temporary demand
  • In city centres – Office workers and shoppers need all-day parking options
  • Near universities – Students and staff require regular parking solutions

Instead of drivers circling neighbourhoods looking for spaces or parking inconsiderately on residential streets, they have a designated spot that doesn’t inconvenience anyone.

For environmentally conscious homeowners, the practice supports more efficient use of existing infrastructure rather than building new car parks, which aligns with sustainable urban planning principles.

The flexibility is another major advantage.

Homeowners maintain complete control over when their space is available, allowing them to block out times when they need their driveway for their own vehicles or activities.

Kazimieras concluded: “In my work, I’ve observed how parking scarcity has become one of the biggest pain points for drivers nationwide.

“What’s particularly interesting is how this challenge has created a genuine opportunity for homeowners.

“Cities like London, Manchester, and Birmingham can experience parking occupancy rates of up to 99 per cent during peak hours, yet thousands of private driveways sit empty during these exact same periods.

“I expect this market to continue growing significantly over the next few years, particularly as local councils implement more parking restrictions and charge higher rates for street parking.

“Homeowners who get involved now are positioning themselves to benefit from this long-term trend.”

Liam Gallagher’s ex wife Patsy Kensit reveals if she will be going to see Oasis tonight as reunion tour kicks off

LIAM Gallagher’s ex wife Patsy Kensit has revealed if she will be going to see Oasis tonight, as the reunion tour kicks off.

The former couple were married for three years from 1997 until 2000, and during that time welcomed their son Lennon.

As Oasis legends Liam and Noel Gallagher get ready to return to the stage later today, fans may be wondering if Patsy will be going.

Asked on Good Morning Britain today, the EastEnders star said: “My son. He’ll be there. You have a lovely time. wait for him to see all of that and I’m happy for you.

“I think it’s a wonderful thing, but I Won’t be attending.

I think I’ve said enough now about about about that.

“I send only love and light.”

INTENSE ROMANCE

Liam and Patsy, who met on a plane in 1995, had a very intense relationship.

The actress once described this to The Mirror, and said: “We just clicked on every level. He was protective and loving. When we were together there were fireworks, and a chemistry that lasted to the end”.

It’s not surprising Patsy isn’t going to any Oasis concert on the tour, considering she hasn’t spoken to her ex-husband in 25 years.

The split from Liam was particularly brutal, with the actress previously admitting how her heart “broke into a million pieces” when he left.

While the Oasis rocker moved on unscathed, Patsy told The Sun last year that she was “abandoned by the in-crowd” and the people she thought were her friends.

“I had lots of ‘fancy’ friends in the ‘90s – everyone wanted you to be hanging out with them, but I lost all of them when my relationship ended,” she said

“I hate ‘phoneyism’ and I was ditched by the whole community overnight – every one of them.

“I don’t hold on to the disappointment, but it was disappointing because I was still very young and I had two children on my own.

“But I feel very lucky to have friends in my life who have always been there since I was 16 – my real friends.

“Women I can tell anything to and know it will never go any further.

“That wasn’t true in the ‘90s.”

Patsy also previously revealed how she cried “every day for three and a half years” during her relationship.

PROUD MAMA

However her time with Liam wasn’t all doom and gloom as together they welcomed her beloved son, Lennon.

Patsy couldn’t prouder of her boy, who is forging a career as a musician and model.

Lennon moved back in with his mum last year, and the actress told The Sun that they are incredible close, and even share clothes.

“He raids my wardrobe, too. Quite a few items have ended up in his room – jackets, scarves, shirts, a whole plethora of things,” she laughed.

“Lennon’s sense of fashion is something he had from a very young age.

“He was doing an interview the other day and he was asked where he got his style from and he said: ‘My mum’, which I was thrilled about!

“He started modelling when he was 15 when [stylist and fashion editor] Katie Grand, who is one of my oldest friends, suggested doing a shoot, then it just really took off.”

Lennon has since modelled in campaigns for Burberry and Saint Laurent and is also in a band, while James is an artistic director who has worked with the Arctic Monkeys.

SUPPORTING DAD

Tonight, Lennon will watch his dad perform in Oasis, for the first time as adult.

Speaking to this month’s W Magazine, Lennon said: “I can’t wait… It’s a massive, monumental thing, it’s going to be fantastic.”

He also revealed how, along with Noel’s daughter Anais, he will attend every Oasis gig.

Meanwhile, Oasis fans lucky enough to bag at ticket to tonight’s first gig of the tour are in for a treat.

It was revealed that Liam and Noel have already been rehearsing at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, ahead of this evening’s concert.

A source told the Mail: “Rehearsals started on Monday, just the tech and band.

“Liam and Noel arrived on Wednesday, but Liam left the rehearsals after just eight songs for Noel to carry on by himself.”

‘Swear I saw a smile’ – Watch Roy Keane break character in hilarious blooper reel for League of Ireland ad

ROY Keane couldn’t help but crack up while auditioning for his new job of being a comedic actor.

The renowned hardman stars in an advert encouraging people who’ve never been to a League of Ireland game to give it a try.

Keane has to get creative to take in a Cork City match at Turners Cross[/caption]

And producers Rockshore have now released a blooper reel from his day of filming.

In it, the 53-year-old doesn’t seem to have found the repetitive process of reading out lines over and over again too tiresome as he cracks up at several moments.

Rockshore captioned the amusing insight: “Swear I saw a smile there once or twice!”

As for the ad itself, Keano shows his comedic chops as he tries his best to attend a City match despite being turned away at the gate.

The script even includes a joke about his height as he pleads with two other fans to let him get in front for a better view from the adjoining pub since he’s short enough that he won’t obscure their view.

The advert is suitably aided by the musical accompaniment of The Frank and Walters’ hit song “After All” which is a beloved tune on Leeside.

Rockshore are invested in the success of the League of Ireland as the league’s official beer sponsor.

So it all adds up that their video implores casual Irish football fans to make the effort to attend a match in person instead of solely consuming the beautiful game through their televisions.

It was captioned: “Time to show up. League of Ireland is calling.”

While it was Cobh Ramblers that the Ireland icon started his legendary career with rather than Cork’s other team, he’s become a regular enough visitor to Turners Cross whenever he’s home.

In the case of Ger Nash’s team in particular, they could do with all of the help they can get.

Despite him taking over from Tim Clancy in May, their results and performances have arguably gotten worse as they sit rooted to the bottom of the Premier Division with just 15 points from 22 games.

Amazingly, their last outing was their first clean sheet of the campaign as they dug out a point in a scoreless draw at home to St Pat’s.

It proved another acrimonious night at Turners Cross, but Bohemians lifted the mood by drawing late with Sligo Rovers. Bottom of the table, the Leesiders are four — rather than six — points adrift of Rovers.

If it proves to be Tein Troost’s final game as City keeper, he at least signed off with a first shut-out and saved from Brandon Kavanagh late on.

City’s winless streak extended to 11 games while Saints have not won in their last five as they remain sixth. Stephen Kenny’s men have netted just once in that stretch.

Nash called for unity in his programme notes after the supporter unrest that mired their Drogheda United draw.

But play was paused midway through the first half as objects were thrown from the Shed End amid a plume of black smoke.

Fans chanted in opposition to the club ownership as a banner was unfurled that read, ‘Sold the dream, living a nightmare’.

And the President plans to host an epic fight night, which will include a title fight, on the grounds surrounding 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Speaking at an event in Iowa ahead of the 250th anniversary of America’s independence, Trump said: “All of our national park battlefields and historic sites are going to have special events in honour of America 250.

“And I even think we’re going to have a UFC fight.

“Does anybody watch UFC [and] the great Dana White?

“We’re going to have a UFC fight, think of this, on the grounds of the White House. We have a lot of land there.”

He added: “A championship fight, full fight, like 20, 25,000 people.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, a UFC official has confirmed Trump and White’s plans to host a fight card on the White House grounds.

White seemingly did so himself by sharing a post of Trump announcing his plans on his Instagram story early on Friday morning.

Trump has been attending UFC events for the best of 25 years and even hosted a card – UFC 30 at the Trump Taj Mahal – in February 2001.

Reflecting on his relationship with the President in an interview with Tucker Carlson, White said: “This guy has been so good to me it’s unexplainable.

“He’s been a very good friend to me since the day I met him.

“When we bought this company it had such a bad stigma attached to it and the sport that we couldn’t even get into venues, they didn’t want us.

Donald Trump saw that this thing could possibly be big.

“Plus he’s a sports guy who loves sports, and he offered us to come do the event at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.

“He cut us a very fair deal and we went down there and did two events with him where he showed up for the first fight and stayed until the last fight.

“Imagine back then; Trump brand is way up, UFC brand is way down, but he took us in and he was great.”

Sharing a selfie from a business class seat on a plane, Jaret gave his Instagram followers a candid update about his condition – and the emotional toll it’s taken.

He wrote: “I fell off the wagon. Many of you have been asking about my health and I appreciate it so much. Truth is, the Ulcerative Colitis flare since March has really taken the wind out of my sail. I had to cancel shows, vacation plans, drs appts, and the list goes on.”

Jaret added that the medication used to manage his symptoms has come with its own challenges.

He said: “The steroids make me irritable and ravenous. And I hate both those things!! My support system has been so gracious in dealing with all of it.”

The singer, who’s been open about his health journey in the past, kindly asked fans to hold back on unsolicited medical advice.

Jared continued: “I do not need your advice. I’m under several dr’s care, but I know it’s social media and you want me to do what you think is best. You don’t know me and you don’t know my health. But thank you.”

Despite the setbacks, Jaret said he’s finally starting to feel better — and has no plans to slow down.

He said: “I’m doing what I can and I’m finally feeling better. This has been a tough year, but also one of the best years of my life. And one of the best years for all things Jaret Reddick!

“Out of the 40 pounds I lost, I gained back 3. I earned it! Haha
I’m back b*****s!! Watch me spin!!

It was only back in January that guitar player Chris Burney quit Bowling For Soup after 30 years.

The band revealed the news after seven months of the pop punk trio being forced to play as a trio.

They decided to continue as a three-piece and not replace Chris, 55, as he concentrates on his health.

A statement on Bowling For Soup’s Instagram read: “To All Our Amazing Bowling For Soup Fans…

“It is with a heavy heart we announce that Chris Burney has made the decision to retire from his stage-right post in the band he co-founded in 1994.

“Some recent medical developments, 30 years of rocking balls and touring non-stop have made it difficult to continue. We are bummed to not have Chris by our sides, but absolutely support his decision.

“The three of us will carry on, with Chris’ Blessing, and continue to build the legacy of this band we all love so much. We will not be replacing Chris or touring with a touring guitarist. You cannot replace a legend. We were brothers when we started this journey…and brothers we remain.

“See you at the shows and in your ears.”

Speaking about the decision, frontman Jaret told K!: “He and I started this band 30 years ago, almost 31 now, and at one point, he was kind of the face of the band.

“I can’t say it enough: we wouldn’t be us, or where we are, without him.”
