Ireland and Leinster legend O’Driscoll looked dapper in a beige suit with white shirt and blue tie.

Huberman, meanwhile, wowed in a pink floral dress from Férí worth up to €400 to buy.

Saturday’s action in London will be headlined by Novak Djokovic facing off against fellow Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic.

The likes of Jannik SinnerBen Shelton and Iga Swiatek will all also feature this afternoon on day six.

However, proceedings have been interrupted by wet weather that forced play to be stopped and covers brought out over the courts.

So far today, Clara Tauson vs Elena Rybakina is level at 4-4 and Daria Kasatkina is trailing a set and a break to Liudmila Samsonova.

On the men’s side of the draw, Flavio Cobolli has taken the opener 6-2 to Jakub Mensik.

No play will take place on the outside courts until 1:30pm at the earliest, although matches on Centre and Court 1 will not be affected due to the presence of roofs.

One of Friday’s matches were used to pay tribute to Diogo Jota following the Liverpool star‘s tragic death.

The Portugal international and his brother Andre Silva died following a car crash in Spain.

Portuguese tennis star Nuno Borges wore a black ribbon in tribute to the 28-year-old forward.

Players got permission from Wimbledon chiefs to pay their respects on court.

Borges and compatriot doubles player Francisco Cabral both wore the ribbons.

Karen Khachanov beat Borges in a five-set thriller yesterday, though he is back on court alongside American Marcos Giron in the doubles this afternoon.

Jota was laid to rest at a heart-wrenching funeral service on Saturday.

Liverpool stars Virgil Van Dijk and Andy Robertson led mourners with two touching wreathes emblazoned with Diogo’s number 20 and André’s number 30.

A joint-funeral for Jota, 28, and his brother André Silva, 25, was held at the Igreja Matriz de Gondomar church after the devastating crash.

Portugal’s head coach Roberto Martinez spoke after the ceremony and described how the days since their tragic deaths had been “really, really sad” but the funeral today showed “we are a very large, close family”.

Martinez went on to say it was “essential” for Portugal to show “we are together,” adding the brothers’ spirits will be “with us forever”.

He said: “So thank you very much for your messages and for your support and everything that we receive [from] all over the world.

“Today we are all one football family.”

Liverpool manager Arne Slot was there with his players – including Reds stars Joe Gomez, Darwin Nunez and Alexis Mac Allister.

Former teammates Jordan Henderson and James Milner were also in attendance.

Some of Jota’s international teammates present at the ceremony were Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, Chelsea‘s Joao Felix and Manchester City‘s Bernardo Silva.

A huge crowd of mourners gathered outside the church and showed support for the brothers’ friends, family, coaches and teammates as they walked in procession.

‘What is going on here?’ – Kyle Walker completes Burnley transfer as they unveil him in ‘best announcement video ever’

Collage of Lionel Richie's bust and a footballer.

BURNLEY fans were left stunned by the club’s Lionel Ritchie-inspired announcement of the signing of Kyle Walker.

The Clarets made the England international, who has inked a two-year deal at Turf Moor, their NINTH arrival of the summer on Saturday with a £5million deal with Manchester City.

Clarets fans couldn’t quite believe their eyes[/caption]

Burlney fans have been glued to social media for the last two days waiting for official confirmation of Walker’s arrival.

And it came in the bizarre form of a mash-up video featuring key moments of the music video for Ritchie’s 1983 classic, ‘Hello’.

In the video, Walker pretended to pick up the phone to Ritchie before creating his own version of the iconic clay sculpture of the pop star’s face the blind female student in the video made.

He then went on to say the student’s famous line, saying: “I’ve wanted you to see it so many times, but I think it’s finally done. Tell me what you think of it.”

Before wrapping a Burnley scarf around the sculpture, Walker then said: “But I’m just adding the finishing touches. Up the Clarets.”

Footie fans could quite believe the announcement, with one saying: “TF is going on here?”

Another said: “Belter.”

And another said: “This announcement is f****** incredible.”

One remarked: Burnley are the GOATS of player announcements videos.”

Another chimed in: “Burnley Admin is class. These signing videos are Brilliant.”

Walker, who spent the second half of last season on loan in Italy with AC Milan, is excited by the new challenge ahead of him.

He said: “I’m delighted to be here. When I spoke to Scott and heard about his plans for next season, it was an opportunity I jumped at.

“He’s done an amazing job here, guiding the Club back to the Premier League with a 100-point haul.

“And now we’re looking forward, together, at being back in the greatest league in the world.

“Burnley had a tremendous campaign last season, built on an incredible defensive record.

“And I can’t wait to come in and add my experience and quality to what looks an exciting squad.”

Beware terrifying ‘Evil Twin’ bank-raiding attack on holiday as tourists warned to spot signs you’re in danger

TOURISTS have been warned of the dangers of connecting to public WiFi at tourist hot spots.

Experts have urged Brits to look out for the warning signs of hackers bank raiding attacks.

Tourist hot spots are targets for hackers[/caption]

Connecting to WiFi in hotels, airports and other popular destinations could put your personal data and even your money at risk.

The hot spots have become hunting grounds for malicious hackers taking advantage of rushed tourists, free WiFi and relaxed security awareness.

Shocking statistics revealed by McAfee show 25% of travellers are hacked while using public WiFi abroad.

Terrifyingly 40% of people have had their information compromised while using public WiFi networks.

Brits have been warned of a few of the methods used by criminals to hack their personal data.

“Evil twin networks” which impersonate legitimate WiFi networks are a particular concern.

These have been used to steal personal information and even gain access to banks.

The “Evil twin network” sets up with a name similar to publicly available networks like “Airport_WiFi” instead of “Airport_Wi-Fi.”

Unsuspecting tourists then connect to the dodgy network and from their hackers can gain access to their data.

The technology needed to carry out an “Evil twin network” attack is now cheaper than ever making it more appealing to hackers.

The tech to pull off one of these attacks can be bought for less than $500.

Several other methods are used by dodgy internet crooks to steal data from unsuspecting tourists.

Cybersecurity experts have warned that “vacation brain” can leave tourists with their guards down, making them easy targets.

Brits have been urged to keep themselves safe online while travelling with several security methods recommended to tourists.

Using a VPN to mask your personal data from network providers is top of the list.

Reviewing travel security settings is also important, your devices have inbuilt settings to protect your data from malicious actors.

Reviewing these and ensuring you have them turned on when travelling is a key step to ensuring your safe online while abroad.

Taking extra care not to connect to malicious or dodgy looking WiFi networks is also important.

Experts are urging tourists to make absolutely sure the networks they connect to abroad are secure and legitimate.

Remaining vigilant even while trying to relax on holiday is important to protect your data.

How to stay safe from hackers

  • Protect your devices and networks by keeping them up to date: use the latest supported versions, use anti-virus and scan regularly to guard against known malware threats.
  • Use multi-factor authentication to reduce the impact of password compromises.
  • Tell staff how to report suspected phishing emails, and ensure they feel confident to do so, investigate their reports promptly and thoroughly.
  • Set up a security monitoring capability so you are collecting the data that will be needed to analyse network intrusions
  • Prevent and detect lateral movement in your organisation’s networks.

THE HISTORY OF DUNNES STORES

DUNNES Stores opened its first store on Patrick Street in Cork in 1944 - and it was an instant hit.

Shoppers from all over the city rushed to the store to snap up quality clothing at pre-war prices in Ireland’s first ‘shopping frenzy’.

During the excitement, a window was forced in and the police had to be called to help control the crowds hoping to bag founder Ben Dunne’s ‘Better Value’ bargains.

Dunnes later opened more stores in the 1950s and began to sell groceries in 1960 – starting with apples and oranges.

The retailer said: “Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town.

“Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong.

“Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas.”

The retailer’s first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960.

They added: “In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed.

“Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England.”

Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.

I tried Sky’s new £6 a month TV that could finally win over Q box viewers – but popular feature is still missing

TELLY is still a favourite for many Brits and when it comes to premium TV most of us think of Sky.

In a world of streaming with Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime and every other app it’s harder than ever to get everything in one seamless place.

The frame is slimmer than previous Sky Glass devices[/caption]
Sky Glass TV in its box.

And the set-up was super easy[/caption]

Sky came the closest yet with Sky Glass, which it launched in 2021.

Since then, we’ve seen a Sky Glass Gen 2 arrive earlier this year.

And now there’s another new kid on the block – Sky Glass Air.

For those who don’t already know, they all do away with the need for a satellite dish and instead rely on the internet.

There’s no box either, it’s all neatly built into the TV itself.

You need a minimum broadband speed of 25mbps to have a smooth service.

So how does Sky Glass Air differentiate from its older siblings?

One of the biggest criticisms about the main Sky Glass TVs is their chunky size which is designed to pack in a mighty soundbar.

Sky Glass Air does away with the soundbar to make the device more compact than before – and cheaper.

As The Sun’s tech reviewer, I’ve got hands on with a number of TVs over the years and I write regularly about Sky.

I used to have the first Sky Glass and currently have a Sky Glass Gen 2 TV, so I’m well placed to talk about the key changes and whether they’re any good for you – and why some Sky Q viewers may finally be tempted to switch.

That said, a much loved feature on Sky Q remains missing.

Read on to find out more after testing Sky Glass Air at home this week.

Sky Glass Air: Settings up

A hand installing a small metal part into a white surface.
Jamie Harris / The Sun
Setting up the mount is super easy too[/caption]

Sky made the set-up a lot easier on the Gen 2 and that has fortunately continued with the Air.

You don’t need any tools for the TV mount, it’s just a tough metal slate with two large bolts.

Twist the bolts into the slots and then place the TV on top of them, pushing down so it’s firmly secured. Super duper easy.

There’s a power cable and remote – with batteries – in the box.

All you need to do is power up, enter your Wi-Fi password and you’ll be watching TV within five minutes.

As an existing Sky account holder, I didn’t even have to enter any login details, it already knew it was for me.

Setting up couldn’t be any easier.

Sky Glass Air: Look and feel

Sky Glass and Sky Glass Gen 2 are serious hunks of metal and quite heavy.

The Sky Glass Air is lighter and has a slimmer frame.

I’m testing the 43-inch version which comes in at 8.85kg without the stand – the Gen 2 equivalent weighs 14.7kg.

While the Sky Glass Air has a slimmer frame it does bulk out around the back.

The ports are all handily around the left side too making them much easier to reach compared to the Gen 2 where they’re more centre back.

The interface of Sky Glass Air runs on Sky OS, so it’s exactly the same as what you see on any other Sky Glass device.

It’s by far my favourite TV interface around as it’s the closest thing to having everything in one place within a slick, smooth and seamless design.

Sky Glass Air: Features

Sky OS provides access to all the apps you know and love.

The Sky Playlist feature is the company’s answer to recording – though unlike traditional recordings nothing is kept locally on a box or your TV.

Instead, they’re kept in the cloud.

This is both an advantage and a disadvantage, which has divided some.

The advantage is you’re not restricted by storage space, so no need to go through the hassle of deleting shows.

Instead, Sky will automatically link whatever you’ve added out to the relevant streaming platform or record it on the cloud for you to watch.

The disadvantage is you have less control over the recordings – something Sky Q loyalists are always quick to mention.

While infrequent, if there’s a rights issue that means a certain show or movie can’t be recorded it may not be available (this has happened to me previously with the Gen 2, but not in my time reviewing the Air).

It also means you’re at the mercy of your broadband service – if there’s an outage, you don’t have recordings on a box or TV as a back-up option.

How to cast on Sky

Casting to your Sky device is done with Apple AirPlay, meaning it only works with an iPhone, iPad, Mac or HomePod

It’s also important to add that AirPlay is only available on Sky Glass and Sky Stream.

For it to work, your Sky device and your iPhone (or other Apple gadget) have to be on the same Wi-Fi network.

If you’re using an app like Netflix, you need to look for a casting icon which looks like a small TV

Tap this and select your TV from the list.

When using Apple AirPlay on your Sky TV for the first time, you’ll need to enter a code that appears on your screen to confirm it’s you using it.

If you want to show photos or videos on your Sky Glass or Sky Stream device follow the instructions below:

  • Go to the Photos app
  • Select the photo or video you want to cast
  • Tap the share icon in the bottom left of your screen (the box with an arrow pointing upward)
  • Select AirPlay from the options
  • Tap your Sky TV from the list
  • Close the app on your phone at anytime to stop casting

Sky Glass Air: Picture and sound

The picture quality on the Sky Glass Air is great – but not the most beautiful I’ve seen as TVs go.

Colours look vibrant and sharp, darks are darker, brights are brighter.

And the sound seriously surprised me – I hardly noticed the lack of a soundbar at all

But it’s the sound I was most curious about with the absence of an integrated soundbar like the other Sky Glass TVs.

And I was pleasantly surprised – in fact it started off quite loud on setting up, despite only having about 30% of the volume up.

Watching Gladiator 2 and I felt every swish and clang of a sword.

Sky Glass Air: Price

The Sky Glass Air is the cheapest Sky Glass device yet starting at £6 per month.

But that’s only for the TV itself on a 48 month contract.

To get Sky’s channels you’ll need to add a package on, which starts at £15 for the Sky Essential TV pack with Sky Atlantic, Netflix and Discovery+ included.

So, for the TV hardware and Sky channels you’re looking at at least £21 per month.

As a monthly cost, that’s cheaper than Sky Q which starts at £31 a month – and remember that doesn’t come with a TV, it’s just a box.

Sky Glass Air: Verdict

By Jamie Harris, Assistant Technology and Science Editor at The Sun

With a combined cost of at least £21 a month, Sky Glass Air is a tempting offering for anyone in the market for premium telly. And maybe even Sky Q customers.

The TV itself is a great addition to the Sky Glass family, offering wonderful quality in a much more adaptable form.

And the sound seriously surprised me – I hardly noticed the lack of a soundbar at all.

If you’re still unsure about Sky Glass, there’s another cheaper option that you can subscribe to on a rolling month by month contract, Sky Stream.

Rating: 4.5 / 5

Inside abandoned British ghost town left at nature’s mercy for a decade that looks just like a scene out of Walking Dead

A YOUTUBER has discovered an eerie abandoned town which looks like a scene out of Walking Dead.

The creepy abandoned community was once home to thousands of British soldiers but now it is slowly decaying with buildings falling apart.

Buildings could be worth millions if sold today[/caption]

The explorer said the inside felt oddly cold despite warm weather outside[/caption]

An entire village, with hundreds of enormous four-bedroom homes, a barrack-like apartment complex, sports facilities and even a gas station, has been frozen in time for more than ten years and is now being reclaimed by nature.

The abandoned site looks like a typical British town, with many of the houses resembling English architecture and having their own garages, some of which are unlocked.

But it is located in Germany and was built during the height of Cold War by the British government.

JHQ Rheindahlen once housed up to 12,000 British personnel and their families between 1952 and 2013.

Colin Hodson, known online as the Bearded Explorer, said on his channel: “This place is so big it is pretty much its own city.

“I cannot believe this whole estate is completely abandoned.”

Wandering through the former town, which is now solely inhabited by red squirrels and deer, he compared it to being in a post-apocalyptic world where all human life has disappeared.

The 376-hectare haunting site is hidden by the dense forest, making it almost impossible to spot in summer.

During Colin’s visit, the trees were bare, giving the audience an idea of what the garrison town would have looked like when it was inhabited.

The properties in the ghost town would fetch millions of pounds if they were sold today.

Although there is occasional evidence of graffiti and vandalism, the houses are mostly undamaged.

But Colin noted that despite the warm weather, the eerie buildings were oddly chilly inside.

Colin continued: “This is actually incredible. This is probably the closest I’ve ever felt to be like walking around in The Walking Dead.

“This is exactly what it would look like if the world ended everyone disappeared nature would just literally take over everything.”

At its peak, the town had five British primary schools, a clothes shop, two post offices, a BP gas station and a NAAFI bookshop.

Plans were created to renovate the town to accommodate asylum seekers after the British Army formally returned it to the German government in December 2013.

But over a decade on, there has been little improvement.

In 2015, a group of Arab businessmen put forth plans to turn the property into a leisure park, but it seems that those plans have since been shelved.

The followers lamented the town’s downfall, with many flooding to the comments.

One person wrote: “What a waste, this is criminal letting all these good houses go to rack & ruin.”

Another one said: “This is very high quality accommodation and still in reasonable condition.

“It probably wouldn’t take too much to refurbish and either use as social housing, or just sell off.”

A third person added: “I lived there for over 6 years as my father was military. It was an absolutely brilliant place back in the day. So so sad to see it like this now.”

Colin only scratched the surface of the enormous territory and plans to return to the site to explore it further.
