Amy Childs sparks concern as she continues to show off weight loss in a swimsuit for snap with cousin Harry

AMY Childs has sparked concern amongst her fans after sharing a snap of herself in her swimsuit.

The 35-year-old revealed her very slimmed down frame as she posed with her cousin Harry aboard a boat during a recent trip.

The mum-of-four has lost over two stone recently[/caption]

The Towie star captioned it: “This picture was taken on my birthday – forgot to post this!! We hardly ever get pictures together @mrharryderbidge even though I’m with you everyday, love you and love this picture.”

Amy’s worried followers rushed to comment on her recent weight loss, with one person begging: “Please put a bit of weight back on Amy.”

A second said: “Shes beautiful but can see her bones doesnt look to good xxx”

And a third added: “Omg what a shame weight loss gone too far.”

While a fourth accused her of using a weight loss jab, writing: “Beautiful but 10000% ozempic!”

Others were quick to speak out in support of her – with one follower pointing out she had been struggling after her mum’s heart attack.

Amy was previously forced to put any “fat jab” rumours to bed after fans speculated she might be using Ozempic to achieve her thin frame.

She revealed that she had tried weight loss injections in the past – but felt so sick she stopped immediately.

“The nausea stayed with me for three days. And it scared me so I stopped immediately,” she said.

In May, Amy opened up about her extreme weight loss, which has seen her shed two stone.

Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: “People don’t know what is going on behind closed doors.

“I’m going through so much at the minute that the weight has fallen off me.

“I worry about my mum constantly. She’s very emotional – she thinks she’s going to have another heart attack.”

Amy added:  “People think I’m not eating, but I do eat.

“To be honest, I do feel better when I’m a bit heavier than I am at the moment.

“There’s so much going on at the minute – it’s the result of pure stress.”

David Clifford’s latest masterpiece paints Kerry’s path to All-Ireland final as Tyrone caught red-handed

RED-HOT David Clifford melted sorry Tyrone to fire Kerry into the All-Ireland final.

The Kingdom were angry against Armagh and deadly against the Red Hands as they backed up that quarter-final display with an even better overall performance at Croke Park tonight.

He deceived Niall Morgan with a beautiful dummy for the goal

Clifford sizzled in the baking heat with 1-9, his brother Paudie continued to orchestrate their attack as Joe O’Connor lorded the middle and Seanie O’Shea worked tirelessly for the cause.

And Tyrone simply had no answers for a relentless performance as Clifford ran Padraig Hampsey ragged to fire Jack O’Connor’s men into the showpiece on July 27 against Meath or Donegal

Kerry’s midfield has often been questioned, but O’Connor silenced the doubters in style.

The Austin Stacks man won his epic battle with Conn Kilpatrick, and was the driving force behind their performance as they ruthlessly picked Tyrone apart with 0-9 without reply in the second half.

O’Connor scored 0-2, and covered every blade at Croker until the hooter. Even with seconds to go with his team eight points up, he flung himself in front of Mattie Donnelly’s shot to sum up his shift.

Darragh Canavan showed his class for the Red Hands with 0-7, but Malachy O’Rourke’s men totally ran out of gas as Kerry stayed in top flight.

Brighter days lie ahead for Tyrone on the back of All-Ireland minor and under-20 glory, but this was a big reality check.

The Ulster giants were putting out fires all over the place, and went 21 minutes without a score in the second half as they fired nine wides.

Damage limitation against David Clifford is much easier said than done and 1-5 of Kerry’s 1-9 first half haul came from him alone.

His 29th minute goal was a work of art, and he lapped up every second of it in front of the Hogan Stand.

As Mike Breen carried the ball towards the Tyrone defence, Clifford shrugged Hampsey away and darted towards goal to smash into the bottom corner.

His dummy solo saw Ben McDonnell and Hampsey clatter into each other, and all they could do was look on in horror as the Fossa man produced the inevitable.

Things almost got even worse for Tyrone a minute later when Kerry carved them open again, but somehow Niall Morgan denied Sean O’Brien with an incredible save.

The Red Hands started so well. They played all the football in the first quarter to go 0-5 to 0-2 ahead as the Kingdom took time to find their groove as Ciaran Daly caused O’Connor’s men huge problems on the left flank and scored 0-2.

All-Ireland under-20 winner Eoin McElholm was named to start and rewarded that trust by creating Daly’s first one and firing a super score himself when he rounded Dylan Casey and Kilpatrick asked serious questions in the middle third until O’Connor came into his own.

Kerry’s early shooting let them down as Gavin White and David Clifford both fired wide and Seanie O’Shea hit the post and saw another drop short.

GOAL-DEN TOUCH

But on 18 minutes, David Clifford decided to torture Hampsey and never looked back. He danced around the Coalisland man for his first from play when he could have gone for goal, and he was only getting started.

Mattie Donnelly was a dangerous outlet in the Tyrone half-forward line and laid one on for Seanie O’Donnell to score, but Kerry quickly broke it to their talisman once more.

He let fly from the edge of the arc for a wonderful two-pointer to make it 0-6 apiece. It was their only orange flag of the game, but it didn’t matter.

Darragh Canavan’s swift double put Tyrone ahead again, the first of which could have hit the net if he drove it low.

But a minute later the man with the same initials did hit the net in a moment of different class, and Kerry never looked back from here.

O’Brien should have twisted the knife a minute later just metres from goal only for Morgan’s heroics.

Clifford added another and Tyrone were at sixes and sevens, but only trailed 1-9 to 0-9 at the break against the breeze.

COMEBACK BID

Canavan led the charge after the restart to give them hope, and hit 0-4 in a flash with a cracking two-pointer and two dazzlers from play to get them back within a point.

But Kerry killed the game inside the next 20 minutes to power into the final.

Paudie Clifford had already announced his arrival after a quiet first half and should have scored their second goal when he blazed over.

David added another, and O’Connor got his second from another goal chance with Morgan closing in.

Gavin White won the resulting kick-out and played Dylan Geaney in on goal, but he made the angle too tight for himself and pulled his low drive wide.

Tyrone were sinking quickly as Kerry’s score kept on coming as Killian Spillane, both Cliffords and Seanie O’Shea all split the posts.

PETERED OUT

Tyrone totally lost their way at the other end as Peter Teague, Mark Bradley, Peter Harte, McGeary, Michael McKernan and Ruairí Canavan all missed.

David Clifford pointed a free when Tyrone failed to keep four players in their own half to sum up their day, before Seanie O’Donnell ended their 21-minute wait for a point.

Ruairí Canavan’s two-pointer was worthy of the applause, but most of the Tyrone support had left for home.

2021 All-Ireland winners Donnelly, McGeary, Harte and Hampsey stayed out on the pitch for an age after the hooter sounded on their campaign.

But Kerry danced in the sun, and are 70 minutes away from a 39th title. They were written off before they walloped Armagh and responded – and delivered again against Tyrone.

Their last All-Ireland final was their 2023 loss to Dublin, a game they have far from forgotten about. Dismiss them at your peril.

Met Eireann issue new 7-hr thunderstorm warning as thousands hit beach on ‘hottest day of year’ with searing 31.8C temps

TEMPERATURES skyrocketed to a record-breaking 31.8C today, with the centre of the country in Westmeath and Offaly bearing the brunt of the heatwave.

Coastal areas in Dublin and Clare weren’t far behind, with Met Eireann recording a searing 29C in both counties.

In Carlow, temperatures hit a boiling 30.1C whilst those in Westmeath and Sligo basked in Mercury that maxed out at 30C.

It’s close to the hottest the country has ever been, with the warmest day on record being June 26, 1887, when Kilkenny Castle recorded a blazing 33.3C heat.

Sun worshippers were out in force at beaches across the country, including Sandycove in Dublin where thousands enjoyed the rays.

And Irish people were also enjoying the sunny spell across the water with revellers in Ireland footie jerseys spotted at The Script performance at the TRNSMT music festival in Glasgow.

But following what weather bosses called “the hottest day of the year” in Ireland, sunworshippers have been warned that the scorcher is not going to last as weather bosses predicted an end to the sunny weather next week.

Met Eireann’s Liz Walsh said tomorrow will see “long spells of sunshine” before a more unsettled third week of July.

The top forecaster said: “Largely dry and fine to begin with long spells of sunshine and mostly light winds.

“Cloud will build from the west with showers pushing in across west Munster in the morning extending into Connacht and western parts of Leinster during the afternoon and evening though.

“A very warm or hot day with temperatures between 22C to 29C and light to moderate south to south east variable breezes.”

But the warm weather is likely to bring thunderstorms with it, with Met Eireann predicting that tomorrow will see “heavy and thunder downpours”.

Yellow weather alerts are in place from 3pm until 10pm tomorrow in Connacht due to searing temperatures and thunderstorms, with weather bosses warning of spot flooding and lightning damage.

Monday and Tuesday are set to bring cooler weather with cloud and heavy showers.

The Met Eireann expert predicted: “A band of rain will clear northern parts of the country on Monday morning followed by a mixture of sunshine and showers, some of them heavy.

“Tuesday will be cloudier overall with showery outbreaks of rain.”

The top temperature on both days is predicted to be 16C to 20C.

STAY SAFE ALERT

Meanwhile, Tainiste Simon Harris has urged Irish citizens abroad to “make the right memories” this summer following a rise in consular cases and reports of extreme weather in Europe.

The Foreign Affairs and Trade minister said there has been an 11 per cent increase in the number of times the Irish embassy has stepped in to help out Irish nationals abroad.

And ongoing heatwaves, with temperatures as high as 40C, as well as wildfires, are leading to increased health risks.

The Fine Gael leader said: “My Department, through its network of Embassies and Consulates abroad, as well as a dedicated team in Dublin, offers 24-hour assistance for Irish citizens…requiring help when abroad.

“We have seen a significant increase in consular cases, and while most trips go smoothly, many people are encountering difficulties that may be avoided with better preparation or awareness.

“My Department’s summer campaign is about empowering citizens, particularly young people who may be travelling overseas independently for the first time after finishing school or college.

“With dangerously high temperatures across Europe, I am asking our young people to look out for themselves and each other.”

Massive shock as 66-1 shot No Half Measures wins July Cup for emotional trainer Richard Hughes

TEARFUL Richard Hughes pulled off the biggest shock of the season as 66-1 shot No Half Measures bagged the July Cup.

In a huge upset, the flying filly came from way off the pace to beat Big Mojo by a neck under veteran jockey Neil Callan.

The result gave Richard Hughes (second left) his first Group 1 winner[/caption]

It was ‘Hughesie’s’ first Group 1 winner since he retired from the saddle and took out his trainers’ licence in 2015.

And he went through a rollercoaster of emotions in the minutes after the race – first delight, then shock, and then tears began to flow.

Hughes said: “It’s a very hard game, but this is just fabulous. There were a lot of dark days when I started out. This feels surreal.”

He isn’t the only one who felt that way, and even Nostradamus would have struggled to predict this result.

She has always been a useful filly, but all of her best form has come on soft ground and she looked likely to be outclassed at the top-level on a rattling quick track.

The sprint division has been wide-open for a few years, which is why Charlie Appleby decided to have a crack over six furlongs with his top miler Notable Speech.

He was comfortable early in the race going at a much faster tempo than he’s used to, and he looked like laying down a serious challenge a furlong out.

But he hung under pressure and backed out of it as Big Mojo moved into the lead – and then No Half Measures swept through and did them all.

Hughes said: “I think if I’d started out with a real good horse early in my training career, I wouldn’t appreciate it as much as I appreciate this right now.

“I probably didn’t appreciate all those good horses I rode when I was a jockey, I took it for granted, so because it’s been a tough road to get here it’s extra special.

“I was a little be naive at the start, I thought if I bought 20 horses one of them would be good. We’ve chipped away and we’ve got there in the end.

“There was no pressure today, I thought she was going to get caught and I couldn’t believe it when the line came. I’ve got the monkey off my back now, we’ll enjoy this one.”

It was a huge result, too, for Callan. The 46-year-old has been on the fringes for a few years now and his career was threatening to drift along to a tame conclusion.

He said: “The last couple of years I thought I was buried, last year and this year have been a bit of a struggle.

“Hughsie messaged me a few days ago asking if I wanted to take the ride and I thought he’d messaged the wrong person! This is magic.”

I queued overnight at Wimbledon and saw someone trying to cheat the system – it backfired terribly

I WATCHED a shameless Wimbledon queue-jumper try to pull a fast one to bag a Centre Court seat — then get served a lesson they’ll never forget.

The crafty tennis fan was left red-faced after a pathetic ploy to cheat the legendary Wimbledon queue backfired spectacularly, sending them back 600 places to the end of the line.

Wimbledon queue
Hundreds of tennis-lovers join the queue as early as 2am
Wimbledon queue
Even arriving the night before doesn’t guarantee you a spot on a seat on Centre Court

The chancer pitched their tent to save a prime spot for the men’s semi-finals — then smugly headed home for a comfy night in bed.

But the sneaky scheme unravelled right in front of my eyes after I’d braved a night in a tent to get my hands on one of the hottest tickets in tennis.

Thousands of tennis fans admirably join the Wimbledon queue each year, with many sleeping overnight, to try to snag a seat watching their favourite stars clash on the historical grass courts of SW19.

This year, I braved the long night in Wimbledon Park with just a tent, sleeping bag and toothbrush in the hope of getting my hands on a ticket and experiencing one of Britain’s great traditions.

I was #80 in the queue after setting up my tent at 6:30pm the night before.

The person in front of me, however, was nowhere to be seen, having sneakily left an empty tent as a placeholder.

But, they’d made one huge error.

Wimbledon stewards, famed for their hawk-eyed efficiency, changed the system.

Wimbledon queue
Enthusiastic stewards skip around waking up queue members at 6am – if they’ve managed to fall asleep

Instead of handing out the all-important numbered queue cards in the morning, they handed them out the night before.

I woke up bright and early at 5am, and who should appear but the conniving queuer, looking refreshed and pleased with themselves.

They even had the cheek to offer me a croissant.

Knowing full well they’d missed the ticket handout, I asked to see their queue card.

The colour drained from their face.

I watched as they frantically dashed over to the nearest steward, pointing at their tent and pleading their case.

But it was no use.

The steely-faced official wasn’t having any of it.

They trudged back to their tent clutching a new queue number: #681.

In a glorious twist of fate, a comfortable night’s sleep had cost them over 600 places and they now had no chance of getting into Centre Court.

Wimbledon queue
Resell tickets are available on the cheap with the proceeds going to charity

And as I took my resell seat to watch the last two sets of the Novak Djokovic versus Jannik Sinner semi-final on Centre Court – which only cost me £15 – I couldn’t help but smile.

Once again, the Great British queue had served up a big slice of justice.

‘We’re lucky to have her’ – RTE star pays heartfelt tribute to Katie Taylor as pair share embrace in New York

RTE Sport presenter Paul O’Flynn said “We’re lucky to have her” while hailing Katie Taylor as a wonderful ambassador for Ireland.

The pair shared an embrace after The Bray Bomber once again defeated Amanda Serrano by a majority decision.

O’Flynn had been dispatched to The Big Apple for the week to cover Taylor’s latest historic Madison Square Garden date.

And upon the completion of the one-sided trilogy, he snagged a photo with the jubilant 39-year-old as he hailed her as a fighter and person.

He praised: “A fresh Katie Taylor in NY this am! Whatever comes next, I’ve been honoured to follow her career for RTE Sport.

“From Bray to Barbados, China, the Olympics and an epic Serrano trilogy. A champion, amazing ambassador for our country & a lovely person. We’re lucky to have her.”

Taylor and Serrano topped an all-female billing at a sold-out Madison Square Garden. If their first two fights were white-knuckle brawls that had fans on their feet, the third was a more strategic affair.

Both landed just 70 punches apiece across the ten rounds, as they learned from their previous concussive battles.

And promoter Eddie Hearn believes this KT display cements her as the greatest female boxer of all time.

The Matchroom Boxing head honcho added: “It is a non negotiable, mate. On so many different levels.

“The way she carries herself, the role model she is to young people, the way she fights, the way she trains, the barriers she has broken down.

“Just a complete legend. I’m proud of her, you should be proud of her, the whole of Ireland.”

Speaking after her hand was raised, Taylor offered the biggest hint that she was considering retirement, admitting she “doesn’t know” if she will keep going.

Hearn, however, suggested that Ireland’s favourite daughter is fresh as a daisy and has plenty left in the tank.

He said: “if it was really tough tonight, does the conversation come where you say: is it time?

“She is fresh as a daisy. She can do another 30 rounds. Normally, she is out on her feet.

“When she boxes like that, I know it might not be as enjoyable but if you know anything about boxing, that is an absolute masterclass.”

Katie herself added: “I thought I was boxing very very smart, very well. She wasn’t catching me with much tonight.

“It is always a very, very close contest between myself and Amanda. Sometimes it is hard to tell from each round but I just thank God that my hand was raised and I am 3-0.

“I was coming in here planning to fight disciplined and smart. I was planning on doing it the other two times but it didn’t work out like that!

“Thankfully I was able to execute the game plan really well. I have a huge amount of respect for Amanda Serrano. What a warrior! Thank you so much.”

I’m a mum & my 50p hack is a game-changer for keeping babies entertained during flights – people say it’s ‘genius’

TRAVELLING with a baby can sound like an overwhelming experience but a simple hack can help.

Instead of packing endless amounts of toys to keep your little one entertained on a flight, a 50p buy does the trick.

A mother comforts her crying child on an airplane.

A mum revealed the simple trick she uses to keep her little one entertained during flights (stock image)[/caption]

Whether your baby is a first-time flyer or has already earned their wings, this trick can help ensure they are entertained while onboard.

A mum known as Lala her TikTok followers, shared the DIY travel hack she swears by with her 6.1 million followers.

She revealed that she looked in her fridge to find the perfect item to keep her seven month old baby occupied during a three hour flight.

Lala was taking her young daughter on a flight from Germany to Spain with her partner when she filmed the handy hack.

“If you don’t pack a head of lettuce for your next flight with your baby, what are you even doing?” she asked her audience.

Handy hack

The mum showed herself packing a head of sweet gem lettuce into a Ziploc bag before heading to the airport.

While Lala’s baby slept throughout take-off, she eventually woke up as they were in the air.

This gave the TikToker the perfect opportunity to show her followers the successful hack.

She explained that she and her husband always give their daughter a piece of lettuce when they want to “eat in peace”.

Lala revealed that the trick “always keeps her occupied for so long” while they dine.

She then realised that if the hack works at home, it would likely also prove effective on a plane.

Lala explained that her daughter enjoys tearing the leaves off the lettuce head.

She went on to say that the tot enjoys tearing anything including bread, paper, and tissue.

However, she pointed out that bread is “way too messy” while they would have to be careful to make sure their daughter doesn’t eat paper or tissue.

The mum pointed out that lettuce brings a “fun and unique texture” for the baby to explore while ripping the leaf.

More parenting hacks

IF you want to make your life easier as a first-time mum, here's nine hacks you won't want to miss.

1. Routine Charts

Create visual charts for daily routines. Use pictures and stickers to make them engaging for younger children.

2. Meal Planning

Plan meals a week in advance to save time and reduce stress. Involve your children in meal prep to teach them cooking skills.

3. Toy Rotation

Keep a portion of toys stored away and rotate them periodically. This keeps playtime fresh and exciting without the need for constant new purchases.

4. DIY Cleaning Solutions

Make child-safe cleaning solutions using vinegar and baking soda. It’s effective and keeps harsh chemicals away from little hands.

5. Time-Out Jar

Create a time-out jar filled with calming activities written on slips of paper. When emotions run high, children can pick an activity to help them settle down.

6. Educational Apps

Utilise educational apps and websites to make screen time productive. Look for ones that offer interactive learning in subjects your child is interested in.

7. Command Centre

Set up a family command centre with a calendar, key hooks, and a bulletin board. It helps keep everyone organised and aware of daily schedules.

8. Emergency Kit

Keep a small emergency kit in the car with essentials like snacks, water, first aid supplies, and a change of clothes. It’s a lifesaver for unexpected situations.

9. Label Everything

Use labels for clothes, school supplies, and lunch boxes. It makes it easier to keep track of belongings, especially in shared spaces like schools.

And of course, it also makes for a healthy and hydrating snack if the tot chooses to bring it to her mouth.

“This kept her occupied almost the entire flight, she had so much fun, and the best part when it’s time to clean up, you can just eat it,” Lala said.

Parent reactions

TikToks users shared their thoughts on the creative hack in the comments section.

“That’s effing genius! I’m trying this on the next flight!” said one impressed person.

“I have a 14 hour flight with my baby next month. I’ll just bring a whole field,” joked another parent.

“Plus points cause it helps her develop her fine motor skills,” added a third follower.

“You Lala, have just unlocked a whole new toy for all of us mums out there, thank you,” commented a third viewer.

More parenting hacks

Another mum shared a DIY hack that helps to keep sand out of your home this summer.

And a dad revealed the hands-off way he gets his kids to burn off energy.

Chelsea star Pedro Neto candidly opens up on why he wants to win Club World Cup for best friend Diogo Jota

The winger was left stunned when news broke of his Portugal pal’s tragic death in a car accident.

Neto feels Jota will ‘protect’ him when Chelsea face PSG in Sunday’s final[/caption]

Jota and his brother Andre Silva were instantly killed when their Lamborghini skidded off a road in Spain before bursting into flames.

Tributes were paid to Jota and Silva from around the world.

And a tearful funeral was held in their native Portugal, with Jota’s club Liverpool also retiring his No20 jersey.

Neto was unable to attend the service due to being in America with Chelsea.

The ace has played a key role in his side’s run to Sunday’s Club World Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain.

But although the odds are stacked against Chelsea, Neto is confident that Jota’s memory can inspire him to victory.

The pair forged a strong friendship while playing together at former club Wolves.

And Neto believes Jota will be “protecting” him tomorrow, which in turn will inspire him to become a world champion with the Blues.

He told Chelsea’s official site: “When I step onto the pitch on Sunday, know that I want to win this competition for Diogo Jota.

“He will always be with me. He will always be remembered. My thoughts are still with him, his brother Andre Silva, and their families. It’s such a difficult moment.

“Diogo immediately stood out to me when I came to England. I was very young and arriving in a new country, and he was one of the key players at Wolves. But he helped me and my family a lot, and I learned so much from him about life and football.

“Diogo was part of our group of Portuguese plates – there were quite a lot of us! Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Ruben Vinagre, Rui Patricio, myself and Diogo. We were so close and spent a lot of time together off the pitch.

“We are still in contact now and these guys, and the memories I have, will stay with me for the rest of my life. It’s why it’s so tough to now be without Diogo.

“He was a warrior, a guy who would always be ready to fight for you. Yet he had this big smile and his laugh… it is one of the things that I will always remember.

“When I heard the news, I spoke with the coach and everyone was very supportive. We had the game against Palmeiras and it didn’t make sense for me not to play. With the personality Diogo had – something else that will always stay with me – I think he would’ve wanted us to play.

“I have this feeling that Diogo is still protecting everyone who was close to him. It’s why I want to be a warrior for him. Sunday is no different.

“It will be my second final with Chelsea, and we can be crowned world champions. That is the focus. I want to win. I want to win it for Diogo.”
