Liam Gallagher’s heartwarming tribute during Oasis gig revealed – but did you spot it?

LIAM Gallagher’s heartwarming tribute during an Oasis gig has been revealed – but did you spot it?

Fans are now learning of Liam’s heartwarming tribute[/caption]

The reformed Oasis took to the stage for the first time in 16 years at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

During the show, an image of a dog named Buttons was included in the stage graphics.

Taking to X, Niall Harbison, who founded the Happy Doggo sanctuary in Thailand, explained what led up to that moment.

The Northern Irishman explained how Buttons had been an abandoned puppy who walked into the sanctuary during its construction.

After several daily trips, Niall later took the dog in and put her up for adoption.

This led to Buttons being taken in by Liam, 52, and his partner Debbie two years ago.

Niall concluded: “Two years ago she was abandoned as a puppy in Thailand.

“Buttons set out to make herself a better life by sneaking in to our sanctuary. She certainly did that!!”

One person commented: “She is a gorgeous dog! What a wonderful story!”

Another added: “Buttons is a rags-to-riches story, going from days of not knowing if a human would feed her, or kick her, to being queen of someone’s heart. She even looks regal.

“Buttons is a success story because of you, a dog named Tina, a dream, & a lot of hard work.”

While a third penned: “She looks rather regal rather than scared these days.”

As well as this, Oasis also paid a heartwarming tribute to the late footballer Diogo Jota.

The brothers played their 1994 iconic hit Live Forever in honour of Jota, who tragically lost his life aged 28, alongside his younger brother, in a horror crash on July 3.

I looked serial rapist in the eye after he drugged & stripped girls for vile hot tub fantasy…sick home videos snared him

NAKED and unconscious, a young blonde girl is dragged across a concrete patio by her legs before being dumped into a hot tub and brutally raped.

Sick predator Craig France filmed the shocking assault, but like most of his unwitting victims this girl has no memory of her harrowing ordeal.

Cops uncovered a stash of booze that the rapist used to lure his young victims to after parties at his house[/caption]

Night after night he would prowl nightclubs and bars, preying on the drunkest girls he could find – many of them still in their teens.

He’d then lead the staggering women into a taxi, having booked it himself so they would not know his address.

Back at his house in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, vile France, 34, would ply the girls with more booze and record himself having sex with them as they slumped semi-conscious or asleep.

His drinks cabinet was groaning with bottles of spirit and alcopops to keep them compliant, while every window was blacked out so his victims had no idea if it was day or night.

France installed a sinister network of 10 covert recording devices around his house and garden, including his bedroom and one trained permanently on his outdoor hot tub.

He amassed hours of stomach-churning footage which eventually helped police snare him when a brave young woman came forward last September reporting France for rape.

He was jailed for 10 years in March, but cops fear there could be thousands more victims who have no idea that former lorry driver France ever attacked them.

It’s believed France had been committing his sinister crimes – laid bare in the latest episodes of 24 Hours in Police Custody, along with footage from his sick cache of home videos – for years before the full force of the law caught up with him.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, DCI Helen Tebbit from the Cambridgeshire Police Rape Investigation Team said: “They are the actions of a sexual predator, it’s the worst I’ve seen in 20 years of policing.”

The documentary reveals how detectives began their wide-reaching investigation after receiving a distressing 999 call from a woman who said Craig raped her two years earlier.

She had believed they were pals, and it quickly emerged that sleazy France was renowned for the notorious parties he hosted, with a reputation for picking up girls at his favourite haunt, Flares Peterborough.

DCI Tebbit explained: “He is very well known in the nightlife scene in Peterborough, they know he’s a nice guy – he buys loads of drinks, encourages them to come back to his house where he’d have parties.

“This is the way in which he operates.

“But what he has recorded and documented are not the actions of someone who should be trusted.

“He targets young girls only just old enough to drink – all of them saw him as a friend.”

DCI Tebbit

In devastating footage from her first police interview the young girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, attempted to recall hazy memories of the night at France’s house.

Shaking and clutching a cuddly toy whale, she said: “He had a charm about him, very friendly and outgoing.

“I went to his house because I trusted him. I just thought he was my friend.

“He got some Sambuca out of the fridge, I did one shot and after that I felt like I was becoming less aware. It was almost like I wasn’t in my mind or body properly.

“All I remember is being in a hot tub. I’m not sure how I ended up there.

The confused victim went on: “Then I woke up in the bed. I didn’t have any clothes on which was scary for me – I never undress around people.

“He was in the bathroom washing himself because he had blood on him. That’s when I realised I was bleeding.

“I’ve literally never been the same since it happened, I’ve gone downhill.”

Sinister obsession

Police were unable to confirm whether she had been spiked, but following her damning testimony they brought France in for questioning and conducted a search of his home, where they discovered restraints attached to his bed and a huge collection of sex toys.

There were also love letters, including one from a girl telling him she was leaving school in six months, as well as more than 70 bottles of nasal spray and a huge sign saying Get Naked.

The search also revealed his sinister obsession with hidden recording devices.

Officers found more than 6,000 images and videos of unidentified women secretly filmed at his home between March 2022 and September 2023.

Crucially, cops found the key video which showed the woman who’d come forward, barely able to stand, being dragged from the garden to the bathroom and being raped on his bed while she appeared “lifeless”.

He could be heard creepily whispering: “You look so beautiful.”

Even hardened veteran investigators were stunned by what they saw.

DCI Tebbit told us: “It is really incredibly shocking to watch.”

Her investigation then took a fresh twist when an online report landed from a second woman claiming France assaulted her too.

She told detectives: “This happened a while ago but I’ve just got the courage to tell it.

“This man that I slept with, he did video it and I was too drunk to realise. His name is Craig France.”

During a police interview she explained: “I classed him as a good friend.

“He seemed very nice, he was always offering to buy people drinks.

“He’d get people from the club to go back to his – always him that ordered the taxis.

I woke up in the bed. I didn’t have any clothes on which was scary for me – I never undress around people

VictimCraig France's victim

“I’ve only ever been there when I’ve been drunk, I don’t know the address. He didn’t seem threatening at all.

“He was very arms open, inviting people back to his for after parties.

“He definitely planned who he was going to befriend or bring back home, he’d look for the girls who were more drunk than others.

“He definitely knew what he was doing when it came to taking women back home. He was always encouraging people to drink more when they were already really drunk.

“We’d get into the hot tub and carry on drinking until we couldn’t drink more, pass out basically.

“Then he started to act a bit weird – his whole character changed – really pushy, always talking about sex all the time. He’d walk around his house naked with his penis out.

“He showed me a video of another girl and I said, ‘Turn that off, that’s disgusting, does she know?’

“He said no and my heart dropped to my stomach and I had to report it.”

With two similar stories, the team scrambled to find more evidence to charge France.

Combing his laptop and phone for further clues, cops discovered France bragged about his exploits to a Whatsapp group of friends and even close relatives.

In one revolting message he wrote: “We f*** then she feels like she’s gonna be sick, then we f*** again. It’s a vicious circle which I enjoy.”

One of his pals commented on a video: “It looks like a classic rape scene, blood, she is out of it.”

It is incredibly rare to have crimes documented to this extent. My only thought is that he kept them for his own sexual gratification and to show off

DCI Tebbit

Appalled DCI Tebbit told us: “As a human, as a member of society, it really is quite horrifying when you look at the context of his messages and photos that were shared between him and his friends.

“None of them are of the view that there was a problem. Some of them are joking that it looks like a rape scene – that’s because it was.

“The fact that we have individuals in our society who find that acceptable is really disturbing.

“It is incredibly rare to have crimes documented to this extent. My only thought is that he kept them for his own sexual gratification and to show off.

“It’s ironic that he claimed the recordings could prove the sex was consensual, when in fact they did the opposite.”

In one of his pathetic police interviews France attempted to defend himself by claiming that sex with the first victim was consensual, but DCI Tebbit observed: “There’s no way she’s got capacity to consent to anything.

“She’s completely out of it. That shows she was completely incapable, that cannot be considered consensual based on the video – she was in no state to consent to anything. That’s really damning.

“He deliberately targeted very young women as it may not have taken as much to get them intoxicated. He was using their age as a vulnerability.”

“It was almost like a David Attenborough documentary, watching every single thing he has done in the four walls of his house,” she added.

Cops also downloaded more than 10,000 photos from France’s phone, proving how prolific his attacks have been.

Another veteran officer, Detective Mark Hodgson, remarked: “In 15 years I’ve not seen anything close to this. He’s done it for a long time and it’s a way of life.”

It also emerged that France was expelled from school for touching other children, and has a history of exposing himself in public places.

In 15 years I’ve not seen anything close to this. He’s done it for a long time and it’s a way of life

Detective Mark Hodgson

The squad then faced the monumental challenge of identifying the girls in Craig’s repulsive video library – and then not only breaking the devastating news that they had been raped, but also showing them the actual footage of what happened.

One stunned victim said: “ I was in shock because I had no idea at all. My mind is spinning, I want answers to all my questions.

“It made me angry seeing those videos. He took everything from me and the rest of the girls. He took our dignity.

“We won’t be able to trust a man ever again, won’t be able to feel comfortable in our bodies ever again.”

After watching the video of herself being assaulted, another victim said: “My heart just dropped.

“I felt so much shame, embarrassment, disgusted, but I was more upset about the fact I could have been friends with someone like that.

“There’s no excuse, no justification. Everyone he’s done this to has to fight to carry on.

“It’s always going to be with me, that sort of thing doesn’t go away.”

France was sentenced to 10 years and seven months in prison after dramatically pleading guilty before his trial was due to start.

He was convicted of a string of offences including rape, sexual assault, voyeurism and exposure.

Prosecutor Andrew Young said: “Craig France is a deplorable predator who targeted young women and established their trust, before ruthlessly exploiting them.

“France built up an extensive set of images, all kept for his own sexual gratification. He and he alone is to blame for his disgusting offending.”

The judge added that France posed a “toxic risk” to society.

Speaking ahead of tonight’s documentary, DCI Tebbit said: “This programme will show that sexual predators can cleverly disguise their depraved behaviours – victims may not realise they are being groomed.

“France portrayed himself as everyone’s best friend – caring, fun, and provided what his victims thought was a safe place to party.

“But in reality he preyed on young women who had barely entered adulthood for his own sexual gratification.”

Since the verdict nine more women have come forward – but DCI Tebbit added: “It haunts me that we’ll never know the full extent of what his offending has been.

“We can’t assume that the digital evidence we have is everything that could have ever happened.

“Just because we have a significant volume, that doesn’t mean every offence has been recorded so this is an ongoing investigation.

“We don’t know the full extent of his offending. There could be further victims.

“We are keen to hear from anybody who may have been affected.”

Part one of 24 Hours in Police Custody airs tonight at 9pm, with the second instalment on Monday July 7 at 9pm on Channel 4.

Marc Cucurella reveals text from Chelsea ‘legend of football’ standing in way of Blues and Club World Cup final

MARC CUCURELLA has hailed Thiago Silva as a ‘legend of football’ as Chelsea’s emotional reunion with their much-loved Brazilian looms.

The veteran defender will be part of the Fluminense team taking on Chelsea in Tuesday’s Club World Cup semi final.

Silva, 40, spent two of his four years at Stamford Bridge playing alongside Cucurella and the pair have already been in touch ahead of the game.

Cucurella said: “He’s a legend of football, a top player. He’s only played for big clubs and texted me before the game saying ‘let’s go, hopefully we can see you in a couple of days’.

“I texted him saying ‘let’s go’. We have the opportunity to play against him again and hopefully we can do good things and win this game and play in the final which is what we want to do.

“We’ve watched some of their games. They have very good players. They are very determined, they have Thiago. They’re in the semi-final because they’ve done the right things. It will be a very equal game.”

Chelsea fans back home in London still sing about Silva and how he came to them from PSG to win the Champions League as he did in 2021.

With more than 100 caps for Brazil he is regarded as one of the finest defenders of all time.

Cucurella has already tasted life playing alongside the next generation of South American stars in Estevao Willian – the new £29m forward who will be joining Chelsea later this summer.

Estevao played against Cucurella in his final game for Palmeiras on Friday – the Club World Cup quarter final which Chelsea won 2-1 to set up a dream date with Silva.

Cucurella, 26, and teenager Estevao got up close with a bit of rough stuff to spice up the game.

Spaniard Cucurella said: “It’s football, he tried to do his job, I tried to do my job. The most important thing is that we won and are going through. He had the chance to score a good goal so now hopefully he enjoys his holidays, can rest and will come back strong.

“It was a tough game, we played against a tough opponent with a lot of good players and a lot of quality.

“He gives all his best in every action. I think he’s a good player with a lot of talent. For sure, we want to help him. We try to help him in all the things that we can to settle in.

“But he needs to do whatever he wants. I think we have a top group of players. I think the human side  we have is very good. We have a group that is very close.

“Hopefully, he can understand this and hopefully he can be one of us very soon. In the dressing room, there’s been quite a lot of turnover of players in and out. Lots of changes within the squad.”

Cucurella is impressed with the way Chelsea fought back from conceding against Palmeiras through a stunning goal by incoming team-mate Estevao.

He said: “We showed the team was ready. We played very good in the first half and the second half we needed to suffer a little bit but we stayed together and gave everything and we won the game.

“Brazilian teams have a very high level. They have showed in this tournament that they are going right until the final stages. Now we have another tough match against Fluminense.

“We will play against Thiago Silva and I think that will be very nice. But now we will try to rest, prepare well for the match and face it in the best way possible.

“We’ve played against two Brazilian teams so far and now we will face a third. They fight until the end.

“We’re happy to be in the next round and to have this experience of playing against the South American teams which isn’t very common. Overall, we’re enjoying this tournament.”

Chelsea imploded in their group game against Flamengo – from leading they crumbled to a 3-1 defeat and had striker Nicolas Jackson sent off.

But Malo Gusto believes the mentality of the team is improving. It has been a long standing criticism of Chelsea but the Frenchman is convinced they are toughening up.

He said: “During this competition, our mental strength has been the most important thing. That’s what we are in these semi final because we’ve shown that on the pitch during all the games that we have had.

“I think it’s the key, 100 per cent. We know the weather is tough, the pitch too, all the teams are very good, many things are around the game and we have to deal with it.

“That’s why this competition is so hard to play and that’s why we are so happy to get this far.

“If we can overcome those hurdles we can do anything and that’s why we must believe in ourselves, give our best and see what goes after.”

Secret Sky tricks to add extra channels for free, bring ‘deleted’ TV shows back from the dead & skip ads in a second

IF you’re paying for Sky every month, you might as well get the most of out of your TV or box.

We’ve got some little-known Sky TV tricks to instantly upgrade your telly, and they take almost no time at all. You’ll bag bonus channels, recover lost shows, and even skip past ads.

EXTRA TV CHANNELS

Sky has loads of channels, and it seems like the TV guide is always being refresh with new ones.

But if you want a quick update, try Xumo Play.

I tried it out as part of my free TV apps test just last month, and I was pretty impressed.

You can find it in the apps section of your Sky TV, and you’ll be watching free telly in seconds.

It has dozens of channels – more than 70 in the UK – plus thousands of movies and TV episodes.

It’s packed with a decent selection of reality TV and sports content too.

You don’t even need to sign up: just tap on the app and away you go.

HIDDEN TV FOLDER

The ability to record live TV and watch it later is one of the best things about Sky.

But sometimes, you delete a show because you’re running low on space or you don’t think you care anymore – only to regret it later.

Or worse, someone else in the house deletes your show. Not good.

Thankfully, it turns out that your Sky box maintains a special folder packed with all of these “lost” TV shows and movies.

It turns out that when you delete a show, it’s not really gone – it’s just tucked away in the folder.

Just go to your Sky Planner, head into Recordings, go to Manage, and then choose Deleted.

It’s here that you’ll be able to restore content back to your Recordings folder if it’s been deleted.

And you can also use this Deleted folder to properly bin stuff from your Sky stuff.

That’s how you can free up storage space: until it’s gone from Deleted, it’s still taking up space on your Sky box.

SKIP ADS

If you’re watching live TV, there’s no way to skip past an ad.

That would involve travelling into the future, and if you can do that, you shouldn’t be wasting your time watching TV.

What you can do is skip past ads in recorded content, but normally that involves holding the fast-forward button down. That’s a pain.

Instead, grab your Sky remote and hit the microphone button.

Then simply ask your Sky TV to “skip forward three minutes” and you’ll instantly move past the ad break.

It’s an easy way to skip them if you’re short on time and don’t want to spend an age manually “scrubbing” through the content.

Jamie Vardy ‘has shock free transfer abroad BLOCKED after Arsenal legend vetoed deal’

JAMIE VARDY reportedly had a sensational move to Genoa BLOCKED by Arsenal legend and Invincible Patrick Vieira.

Vieira, who is the boss of Genoa, is said to have vetoed the move after club execs had put things in place for the former Leicester striker to make the move.

Vieira, who is manager of Genoa, is said to have rejected the arrival of Vardy[/caption]

According to Italian outlet La Repubblica, Genoa had agreed personal terms with Vardy following negotiations spearheaded by sporting director Flavio Ricciardella.

But despite claims that Genoa had even enlisted financial help from club sponsors to pay Vardy’s wages, the deal was abandoned after Vieira didn’t give his seal of approval.

The Premier League icon reportedly told club execs he didn’t want Vardy, bringing the deal to an abrupt close.

SunSport have contacted Vardy’s representatives for comment.

Vardy, 38, is available on a free transfer after calling an end to his 13-year spell with Leicester after his deal expired this summer.

The former England international leaves the Foxes with a satisfying record of 200 goals in 500 appearances.

And although a potential move to Genoa appears to be off the cards, Vardy could be heading to a European giant instead.

Reports suggest that the veteran striker is closing in on a move to Rangers to play under new boss Russell Martin.

Vardy is thought to be “open” to a move to the Scottish club.

He has been urged to make the jump and raise the standards at the club by managerial icon Tony Pulis.

The legendary former Stoke boss said: “If Jamie Vardy went to Rangers he would be joining a huge rivalry, they have new owners and will want to invest into the team to make things more competitive.

“Russell Martin is at a massive, massive football club and that comes with expectations. If he does bring big names in, that will go through the roof.

“Brendan Rodgers has done an unbelievable job at Celtic and Russell will be under enormous pressure to get closer to them next year.”

However, Pulis warned that Rangers will have to act fast with Vardy likely to be in high demand.

He added: “Jamie Vardy will not be short of offers. You don’t know whether he’s waiting for another Premier League club to come in for him, but he’s been a fantastic player.

“Taking Leicester to the Premier League title, winning the FA Cup, he is a fit lad and doesn’t look to have put any weight on. I’m sure he will have something on his mind.

“He’ll have a preference and he might be waiting to see what offers he gets, but he will have options all over the world.”
