Trump ‘saddened’ to watch Musk ‘go off the rails’ after he vowed to launch political party prez says will cause ‘chaos’
DONALD Trump says he is “saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely ‘off the rails'” after the Tesla CEO announced he would launch a new political party on Friday.
The US president slammed Musk’s new “America Party“, arguing third political parties never succeed in the US and only create “complete and total disruption and chaos”.

It comes after Musk cited a poll in which he asked whether respondents “want independence from the two-party (some would say uniparty) system” that has dominated US politics for two centuries.

Emergency services have shut off traffic on the Greater Manchester motorway on the westbound carriageway between junction 22 and junction 21.
National Highways said: “The M62 westbound is closed between J22 (Denshaw) and J21 (Milnrow, Rochdale) following a multi-vehicle collision.
“Emergency services and Traffic Officers on scene.
“Allow extra journey time if in the area this evening.”

John Stones rakes in cool £13.6m off the pitch despite England star suffering nightmare season with Man City
JOHN STONES has banked a whopping £13.6million from his image rights firm.
The Manchester City defender amassed a fortune worth £13,611,422, thanks to his image and endorsement deals.

Latest figures for Stanted Promotions Ltd, which John Stones runs with his dad Pete, show the England star made £1.8m in off-field earnings last year — despite just six Premier League starts for City through injury.
Stones, 31, has lucrative deals with Nike and online trading broker Axi.
He also has a real estate business with properties worth £4.4m.
Stones has been tipped to make a shock return to Everton this summer.
He left the Toffees in a £50m transfer to Man City in 2016 – at the time making him the second most expensive defender in history behind David Luiz.
The centre-back has since gone on to play 277 times for the Cityzens.
He has scored 19 goals and provided nine assists.
But crucially, his defensive prowess helped the club win 17 honours with him.

However, fitness problems have plagued his time at the Etihad and last season he managed just 20 games under Pep Guardiola.
These include six Premier League titles, one Champions League, two FA Cups, four League Cups, the Fifa Club World Cup, the Uefa SuperCup and two Community Shields.
A move back to boyhood club Everton could pave the way for City to move for Jarrad Branthwaite.
His expected exit comes after Kyle Walker joined Burnley.

Britain’s top cop defends arrest of OAP priest, 83, at banned Palestine Action protest — ‘law has no age limit’
BRITAIN’S top cop has defended the arrest of an 83-year-old at a Palestine Action protest, saying the law has no age limit.
Retired priest the Reverend Sue Parfitt was held on Saturday, the day the group was banned under terror laws.

Met Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley told BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg: “The law doesn’t have an age limit, whether you’re 18 or 80.
“If you’re supporting proscribed groups, then the law is going to be enforced.”
Rev Parfitt appeared to be showing placards in support of Palestine Action at the Parliament Square demo.
In total, 29 people were arrested.
All have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Palestine Action was banned after vandalising aircraft at RAF Brize Norton on June 20.
Supporting a proscribed group is a criminal offence, punishable by up to 14 years in prison.
Yesterday Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, 81, faced calls to be prosecuted for labelling Palestine Action a “great organisation” in a video.
Waters, 81, also praised rapper Bob Vylan – who led chants of “death to the IDF” at the Glastonbury festival.

Newly-promoted Sunderland target England goalkeeper, 32, in ambitious loan transfer
SUNDERLAND are ready to move for Wolves keeper Sam Johnstone.
The Black Cats want him so he can fight with their current No 1 Anthony Patterson for game time.

As we revealed, the newly-promoted Premier League club just hired keeper coach Neil Cutler.
And he is a big fan of experienced, four-cap England man Johnstone, 32.
Cutler worked with Johnstone at Aston Villa and Wolves and wants to reunite at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland have looked at expensive keepers in Europe but may look at a relative domestic bargain in Johnstone.
The move could happen as a loan because the star still has a contract at Wanderers for three years.
Manchester United academy graduate Johnstone joined them in a £10million deal from Crystal Palace last summer.
Johnstone played 10 times for the Molineux Stadium outfit last season, including seven times in the league.
He failed to keep a single clean sheet in those matches, conceding 17 goals.

The FA Cup was more fruitful for him.
He kept one clean sheet in three games as Wolves beat Bristol City and Blackburn before crashing out in round five on penalties to Bournemouth.
Johnstone was last involved for the Three Lions in March 2024.
Although his last game was a 1-0 win over Australia in October 2023.
